Wera tools that I have tested regularly on my YouTube channel "Schrauberkultur" have always convinced me. Both through sophisticated, innovative technology as well as quality workmanship and robustness.

The many special features of the tools are just terrific. Whether the compact tool-check set, which has helped me everywhere, whether on the road on a motorcycle tour or building furniture or the Zyklop hybrid ratchet which can be extended with a handle to solve fixed screws on the car, all tools from Wera are very high quality and convince through workmanship and innovation.

The support and customer service and dealing with customers, press and tool testers like me has always been very friendly and professional.

Quality Control is not up to a German Company Standard. Like many people spending top level money on tools, I take pride in not only how they perform, but how they look. So does Wera as you can tell by their packaging, marketing and pretty color coded tools. However, after spending several thousand dollars to revamp my department, I noticed that there is NO consistency with the laser engraved etching of the sockets, meaning, when put in their holder, the numbers are crooked and misaligned. Looks terrible! I would expect this from a Chinese imported product from Amazon, not Wera. After much research and reading online posts, I am not alone, many clients complaining. I tried to reach out to Wera in Germany over 7 times, left my contact info, but received no call back. After reaching the Canadian arm of the company and having somewhat of a misunderstanding, I was told this is as good as it gets and there are no plans to fix or change. I was told that these are considered a high volume product and the same quality or care is not put into them. However, if you purchase the Deep Sockets/HF Sockets or Impaktor, they do provide quality control and you receive them correctly etched. I know, because I own them all and this is correct. It is almost as if they feel clients such as myself should just deal with their poor craftsmanship at a premium price. HOWEVER, what is the most frustrating, is when you see their marketing images online, they show all the sockets aligned correctly. Why would they do this if it is false and if they feel unnecessary? Why not just take images of a row of sockets in complete disarray. We all know the answer. I am stuck, I have invested lots of money and cannot return. The problem is, I drank the juice, I like their tools, so I will keep them, but because of this, and more importantly, their lack of customer support I cannot recommend them. Would reconsider if they took their client concerns seriously, provided customer service and actually acknowledged the problem. If you are going to charge a premium and want to be considered one of the top manufacturers, your product offering needs to back this up. I wonder if Porsche would roll out a car where the leather seats had imperfections and the stitching was poor...as a standard?

There is only one word that describes the quality and innovation of the tool. great
