Love visiting here every year yummy chocolate Great tour love the 4d cinema and the little car ride
Fun for kids, informative displays and GREAT CHOCOLATE !!
Fab day out, friendly staff, plenty to do and see. only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the wait times can be too much for smaller children and the cafe isn't great (it's not been very clean 3 different times I've been, the food is expensive and the layout could be better for pushchairs or wheelchairs).
A planned day out in the holidays, was lots of fun. The actual tour is looking pretty tired now and they don't actually show the factory as it isn't in use. The"ride" isn't worth waiting for.
Outdoors is a much better experience and I would highly recommend the 4D if you were on the fence.
You can take a pram most places including the 4D. Upstairs in the tour there is a pram park so you will have to carry smaller children for quite a while.
Not a bad day out, go on a nice day so children can play on the extensive play area.
Kids live it as well as adults. Long walk but enjoyed the tour. Staff very friendly towards children..nice to actually learn the history of Cadbury. Been a couple of times and its always fun.
We had a really good day out. The kids loved it and it took just about the right length of time to get around. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The whole place has adapted very well to covid, with temperature checks, hand sanitizer everywhere, well organised one way systems, it felt safe and as unobtrusive as possible. The informative bits at the beginning were pitched well and we liked the 'special effects'. The 4D cinema was a highlight, but I do feel sorry for the performers doing the stage show at the moment, real stalwarts!
It wasn't too expensive compared to some places and the kids came home with large smiles on their faces (and tummies full of chocolate)
Worthwhile visit to an historic place. You can spend hours here, enjoying yourself. I expected a more substantial history of chocolate and Cadbury's. There are interactive talks but a lot of the tour seemed like a Cadburys advertisement as opposed to an insight into chocolate processing. Saying that, it is still a magical place. Lots of sections to look at and a wonder for little ones
Enjoyed our day out at Cadbury World. It was well organised, informative and fun.
Very good
4d cinema is the best one
Even though the tickets are timed to limit numbers you can be queuing for a long time inside the main attraction at particular points. You get a reasonable amount of chocolate on the tour but don't see much of it being made.
I love Cadbury chocolate bars especially 'Cadbury dairy milk Oreo
I expected to see the factory, but was really several videos and not so much hands on stuff. When you could get your hands dirty, it was just squeezing choc onto a slab. However, staff handling of the social distancing is exemplary.
Very busy. Given less chocolate than a few years ago. Felt like a waste of time and money.
After over 6 hours there my 4 year old son cried because he didn't want to come home. He asked if we could go the following day then cried because we couldn't. Says it all really. It's brilliant from start to finish. Well worth the day out
In need of freshening up, cleansing and aligning with a modern class
We were so excited to go to Cadbury world, it was all our neice wanted for her birthday. It was quite a drive for us but we were so excited, expecting something along the line of a dulled down Wonka factory.
The result was very disappointing.
We arrived early and there was a 4d experience cinema the kids were thrilled about. Until we saw the queue to get into it was well over an hour long. A 4 and 10 year old were not going to wait that long for a 5 minute video. When we entered we had to wait in the entrance until our exact slot came up. We got two chocolate bars each to enter then had to buy the bags each to put them in. The first area was the history of chocolate. There was no information, just mannequins set up with numbers for an audio tour, but we hadn't been offered an audio tour and I didn't see anyone at any point with them. We then had to wait to watch two more videos about the history of Cadbury and how they set up benefits for workers...interesting, but really not for children at all. We then got to walk through part of the factory, there was very little to see and not really anything to do. It then took us round to another queue. We waited in it for about half an hour before we reached a sign saying '45 minutes queue time from here' to go on a small ride that took you down a floor. The kids couldn't wait that long and it didn't seem worth it at all, so we took the stairs and had a photo taken. We then got some melted chocolate, and got to hear a woman talk about how they make boxed chocolate, except we couldn't hear or see anything. That led us to a very small interactive room with little to do and then straight into the gift shop. The kids were really underwhelmed and disappointed and I have to say I was too. There is so much potential for what they could have there and the whole thing was pretty much a boring let down. I wouldn't recommend it.
Worth a visit for the shop alone but book your tickets online first
Anywhere is good when you get free chocolate bars but genuinely this is a very interesting place for the young and the old. for the older folk there is a lot of memorabilia from through the years and of course the history of Cadburys chocolate and Bourneville and for the younger generation the fun parts of seeing chocolates being made and being able to actually use some of the techniques and tools and for everyone the fun ride through chocolate bean land and the 4D experience. There where a few schools visiting on the day we went but I must say they where all very well behaved but you may want to check before you go because it can delay your time at some of the exhibits.
Brilliant place to visit with the children. There is also a great (if small) museum. Loved it.
Enjoyed our visit we loved every bit of it. Very informative and friendly staff
My friend has been talking about taking me to Cadbury World for years and this year we finally did it. I loved it, we went on a Tuesday and it was fairly quiet - I can imagine that weekends and school holidays make this place incredibly busy so I'm glad I managed to see it when it was less so. I loved learning about the history of chocolate production and the incredible Cadbury company; it's a great story of one of the most famous brands in the world and the contribution the family made to their workers and ultimately to the national economy. Loved the shop - got some lovely bits in there and at bargain prices.
Really really disappointed with this.. nothing like its described on the internet.. got told to come 1 and half hours early for chocolate making.. came here play areas closed so waiting around bored with 3 unhappy kids.. everything else really busy due to this.. probably the worst experience iv ever brought the kids to.. definitely WOULD NOT recommend this to anyone.. so angry about this i want my money back!!
Cadbury chocolates are my favourite . The taste of chocolates are so damn yummmyyy . Well obviously it is made in very clean and hygienic atmosphere . And yeah somehow chocolates are good health also . Services are quite good .
As an adult I loved seeing the whole Cadbury nostalgia. The 4d experience was the best part for me. The free chocolate bars were great but I don't think I'll be able to look at chocolate again for a long time.
Really badly needs modernising. The free chocolate is the best bit
Don't book the last slot as you will feel rushed. Brilliant tour though .
Wonderful place for a day out with kids. The staff were very welcoming and greatly supportive of our requests. Cafe option is great. Queues were well managed and waiting times were efficiently utilised for demonstrating interesting stuff. Will come back again
It's fun, the exhibition is interesting but better for 8+ as for the 4D ride don't expect Disney, worth doing in one Afternoon.
I go at least 3 times a year, just live taking my children there, the older they are getting the more they live the fact they will get free chocolate and take photos. Lovely full day out every time.
You get a 2 chocolate bars on entry and then enter through the jungle which explains the history of the cocoa bean. The next part is difficult to hear and the guide was uninspiring. You move through to the history of chocolate and Bournville to the have a go area. All feels a bit false and forced. The queue for the "ride" is probably not worth it. The molten chocolate was nice and the advertising street brought back memories and the inevitable shop was overpriced as expected. Won't rush back if ever.
Great experience and lots of chocolate. The factory is huge with lots to do! Prepare for a whole day programme!
Great place for a day out with children. Lots to see and do and of course loads of lovely chocolate for free and to buy in the shop.
Brilliant place, both indoors and out. Free chocolate at the start of the tour helps, the grandchildren loved the car ride and the 4d cinema.
Hmmm, to many bad speakers. The noises are terrible.
The interesting part for me was the production line. I couldn't visit.
For kids okay.
Went for my granddaughters birthday, expensive but she loved it.
my partner took me here for my birthday last year and for us it was a great trip, i enjoyed hearing about the history of cadbury and all the different zones. overall it was a great trip for a chocolate lover.
Good but not as good as it used to be. It's expensive and you only now get three chocolate bars included in the price!
The cafe is poorly staffed and food over priced, my order was taken wrong and my husband had to wait for his food to be cooked while we ate and even though the man who took the order said sorry, the blame was put on us and he was quick to point out how we were in the wrong even though I had a witness to what I ordered, when my husband's burger was finally brought to the table it wasn't hot, so the rest of the visit was sadly effected after lunch. For the actual Cadbury visit, there isn't much for little kids to access, we went to meet up with friends, so that was the only good part of the day, I don't think there is enough to do for the money you pay to get in, plus you have to.pay for any extras you do, I.e. photos, Cadbury bags to carry the 3 bars of free choc you get and other sections of the experience. Also we found quite a few things along the way weren't working, so I definitely wouldn't recommend, esp if you have to drive along way like we did.
I had great time with my friends and my
tutor Nicola . I liked the 3D film and the place over all but I disagree with the cafe prices it is so expensive to have a cup of coffee.
The kids definitely enjoyed coming here. Very educational will be coming back
A real friendly welcome as soon as you arrive in the reception. Lots of fun for children. Free chocolate bars before you enter the factory and all sorts of little extras to keep little ones amused and the free chocolate pots were a favourite. Car rides to follow the history of Cadburys ,cinema with moving seats and the magic show made sure fun was had by all. Outside play ground good in the summer. Restaurant on site. A great day out for all the family.
A wonderful trip in the world of chocolate, must be booked through the website
Had a wonderful day, no children just two young at heart oldies!
Staff friendly and attentive, and love a laugh!
4d experience was amazing we laughed and screamed all the way through, the poor member of staff was crying with laughter as we left!
Food was really tasty and good value.
Loads of chocolate for sale at a good price!
Thank you for a wonderful day
Kirsten Ash and Jenny Kirkwood xx
Very good day out, but would have been nice to see more of the actual factory.
Good trip for the family for a day out, you get to eat and make chocolate. You learn about the process to make chocolate and the history behind Cadburys
A great day out enjoying Cadbury's goodness. Well thought out experience with plenty to see and do. Especially for the young ones who will love it. If you are coming from abroad, make this one of your visits in the UK. Learn about the history behind Cadbury's. Recommended.
The tour is informative but there is no visit of the actual factory, which is disappointing. More suited for young children. The Cadabra ride is neither informative, nor entertaining - what is the point?
This is an excellent day out for the family lots to see and do even on a rainy day . Well worth the money
Four stars as a few things weren't open because of maintenance but still enough available to fill the day
Did the whole experience in 2 hours.
The videos at Bull Street were difficult to follow because of noisy visitors (not Cadburys fault but people with screaming babies ruined the videos for dozens of other people, would have been polite to take the screaming children outside the room whilst the video was playing). The 4d video experience was quite fun. You get around 4 bars of chocolate included in the ticket. Don't get to see a huge amount of production / manufacturing process but there is a lot of history detail.
Cafe food and staff was worse than expected but everything else was top quality!
Great day out, would highly recommend for any chocolate lover
Very very boring and childish did not find it worth the money and time
First time I've been to cadbury world, really pleasant staff will go again
Lots to do. The history of the company was really well explained with things for all ages. There is even a large playpark to keep small ones occupied as there is a queue for one attraction there. All other attractions had no real queue.
Food was a bit expensive, good quality.
Only real downside - really bad signage to the location!
You can spend couple of hours there. Interesting for Cadbury lovers
Not the first time visiting but not for a while. Really enjoyable for adults and kids. Its educational and nostalgic in one and there's chocolate tasting do whats not to like
The Best place, different chocolates, so delicious, we love the smell also, chocolates!!
Feels like child again.
Very good day out for younge children. Lots of freebies. Does get busy but is managed well
Good for kids but not as compared to Lindt in Cologne, Germany
It was ok. I thought we would see the big manufacturing process. We also missed the outdoor play area etc as it's not on the route around the museum. The factory shop is a few shelves with Easter eggs more expensive than a supermarket. I was looking forward to miss shapes etc. The staff are all very friendly and very helpful.
Once upon a time at Cadbury. Love it. Fun time for kids.
Was a nice day out but see very little of the factory or the production process, the 4d experience was ok but again showed no history of Cadbury or even about chocolate.
Great for kids as theres a big play area outside and the cadabra ride would appeal to them, got 3 bar a of chocolate per person and also a pot of melted chocolate with a choice of 2 toppings.
The Cadbury store was overpriced on some items and cheaper on others
Brilliant day out loads to see and do not to expensive and we all enjoyed ourselves
What a fabulous day out. Such good value for money, plus they give you treats all the way round. It s very rare you can go somewhere, not pay an absolute fortune to get in and then get something back with all the free chocolate. The shop is also very reasonable- not over priced and actually somethings are cheaper than supermarket prices. Very unusual. Would highly recommend
Not what I expected. I really enjoyed learning about the history of Cadbury and I can see what a fun place it would be if you came with young children (mine have grown up) but I would have liked even a glimpse of the factory floor. I visited as a kind of pilgrimage to the place which formed a memorable part of my childhood, from the chocolate bribe to get me to go to church on a Sunday to the bar of Frys my Dad would bring home every payday. I felt the attraction could have been anywhere as there was no real link to the factory other than seeing the main buildings from the car park. Perhaps they could offer an adult tour in the future.
Nice place, quite spread out with lots of walking, fine for those with good legs, but less so for the mobility restricted. Plenty of disabled parking, but if you need one, do bring your own wheelchair.
