We went as a group today. The venue was very busy given that it was during the school holidays. It began to get quieter at around 3pm. Children loved the outdoor space and shows they had on offer.

We are tourists and we didn't know we should prebook.
We travelled in the train for 2 hours only to find tickets should be prebooked!
Have some mercy on tourists, welcome tourists don't harass them.

Adult and child heaven if you into this sort of thing....big play area outside for the young children with 4d experience we went it was really good... disabled access to everything outside... food and drink stands outside as well.. toilets.. inside is a massive chocolate shop and cafe... the Chocolate shop is the biggest Cadbury one in the world... sometimes the Cadbury character are out and you can have your photos took with them... you can hire the cafe for private parties and events and have the characters visit you there... the tour around the Cadbury experience is good plenty for the children of all ages.... and plenty of different interactive experience for them...I liked the Cadbury mini car experience near the end..it's a little mini world it lovely experience...we spent nearly five hours there but you could spend all day if you wanted to.... well worth a visit... friendly staff and lovely experience...

Kids love it which is a great plus but the facility is really outdated and is in dire need of a refresh. Operations were also manic and probably need to be looked into. Price is quite on the high side compared to other Birmingham attractions. Service was okay.

Took my grand kiddies here ages 8 n 3. There was plenty to do and see for both of them. The best for them (and me) was in the chocolate factory tasting n watching them work. Outside play area too with seating so you can take your own picnics. Great day out.

Interesting visit learning about the older history of Cadbury with plenty of chocolate to eat. History of Bournville was interesting too, although needs updating for the last few years since the takeover by Kraft foods. Lots of activities for kids too.

It's good fun visit for kids. Ample of parking space. Best part is 4D movie the rest are OK. I found out from my friends it used to be very good when it was owned by Cadbury it shelf. Staff helpful. They need to expand children play area little more. Overall good day out for whole family.

Really good tour of Cadbury World, they had the Premier League trophy on show the day we went. Great fun, although the queue for the Cadabra ride was way too long for what it was... I think we'll definitely skip that bit next time.

The place is terribly overcrowded and very disappointing. I was so turned off by just the appearance of the lobby that I had lunch, bought some candy, and left. Very lowbrow! If you're ever in the US going to Hershey World, it's amazing!!!

VERY BAD we got there at about 11 o clock we queued for about 5 mins when we got to the ticket desk they said theres no more room until 4 o'clock so we waited there for 4 hours for a 20 walkthrough wich was dreadful you can't see any of the chocolate being made like you used to be able to, you get given 2 chocolate bars and the whole experience is very boring for 50 pounds . The Cadbury kitchen was so expensive for a pizza it is nearly 20 pounds. I do not recommend for little children as they will find it extremely boring also the line in the shop was massive yet they only had 2 cashier's working
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY THERE

Very very nice place to come with children you get lots of chocolate and you get to find out a lot of things about how chocolate was made. You get to do a little hunt for the kids and you get a comic book and a chocolate. You can get melted chocolate with topping at the making chocolate section. Lots of fun things to do. There is a playground and a 4d movie to watch. You might even meet some fun characters near the playground. There is also a shop there which had you with lots of chocolate and souvenirs. Very awesome place.

We went on a Friday , when the kids were on summer holidays. It was organised well that it wasn't crowded as you went in at a set time. A nice amount of chocolate is given per person as you walk around, the interactive and 4d show was great and we were there around 2.5 hours.

Interesting place to visit. Probably not with smaller children though. The start was quite boring for our 3 year old. Also, I know it's a chocolate factory but they keep giving us chocolate. Which is great, apart from when they handed it directly to our 3 year old who wanted to eat it instantly. We didn't really want him eating 3 bars of chocolate in one outing so there were some upset faces when we kept taking it away from him.

A good place to take kids, especially if the weather is bad as it's mostly indoors. They have tried to do as much as possible to keep things interesting, especially considering the factory doesn't do much of the manufacturing process (if any?) these days.
The tour itself covered the history of chocolate from its aristocratic colonial origins to the mass market appeal of the general populus. And also the manufacturing process which was quite interesting from the videos and exhibits. You got enough chocolate to eat to feel suitably sick and got the opportunity to see it being worked and moulded too. I'd skip the car ride unless the queues are short.
I felt however there was a little too much emphasis on the history of the company and their values and too little on the current equivalent. In the past the company built an entire town for the workforce to be healthier and happier and educated; where as more recently they boast about some staff volunteering in the community and nothing about what has happened since a faceless multinational American conglomerate took over and moved most of production abroad!
Ticket prices were reasonable, but be prepared for the upsell along the way. I'd also recommend being fed and watered before you arrive because the prices of sandwiches and bottled drinks are extortionate.

Took my 10 year old here during the spring half term holidays and we had a good time even though it was very busy. We arrived 2 hours before the time allocated for our main event and it made sense to do it in that order: 4D cinema, Cadbury's museum then onto your allocated time event. It's not entirely clear where the queues for the events so we had to ask people in the queues. We both thought the 4D Cinema experience was fun although there was a lot of queuing for that but it was undercover. The museum part was ok and seeing all of the packaging, tins and boxes thoughout the years was interesting.
When you go into the main Tour bit, you can pick up what you ordered with your tickets like your bags and brochures. The staff give you lots of chocolate bars to eat along the way. Kids are kept happy with the 'find Freddo's Friends quiz' along the way. We had our photos taken in the green room area and also on the little mobile car thing. These as always are expensive for what they are.
All in, the both of us had a great day and I would reccommend it to friends to visit!

Great indoor venue for a rainy day! You get to write your name in chocolate, you get to eat chocolate and you learn the history of the Cadburys. Some great shows and a 3D cinema show. Queuing times are reasonable so to is the admission price.

Great experience. The second time I went there was more going on then the first time.
Very good day out, that could leave you with a purse empty and a stomach full of chocolate!!! I think Cadbury chocolate is the best chocolate there is around. Would choose Cadbury every time.
I will mention I was extremely disappointed with Cadbury in Australia - it really and honestly did NOT taste the same.
So all you Cadbury lovers - if your can't live without your chocolate while holidaying there take your good old English kind with you - as your really really won't like the Australian variety
