Having only two people working on a Saturday night is ridiculous. Absolutely terrible service. Almost 30 minutes of queuing and then a huge wait on food. Honestly, cant you guys organize a decent roster?

The place is nice, not too big but not crowded too. The service is excellent, well explained and people are nice.
I tried the main option of the menu, I think the name was "The American" and it tasted amazing.

the service was really good, and food came out quickly. It s just that the food was totally tasteless, even the milkshakes. it s not the fault of the people working here, it s the ingredients they were given to use

Appalling service from some of the staff at this Burgerfuel. Have been going here regularly over the last couple years and the last few times we've been the staff have been alright but always screw up at least one item on the order, and food takes ages. Last night's was by far the worst.

Screwed up one of the orders, when I told them and returned the extra item they gave by mistake they tried to fix it but screwed that up and brought the whole order again (so 2x same order but both with something wrong), when we told them that we already got our food the guy (maori fella) bringing the food got all s**ty, sarcastic and aggressive, and behaved like he wanted to fight. Shocking customer service. Then to top it off, one of the other chicken burgers were raw.

The rest of the staff were apologetic and tried to fix it so no issues with the rest of the staff but overall the standard at this Burgerfuel needs to be raised as it's by far not the first time we've been disappointed. However I will say that normally the food has been good (when it does arrive and if you get what you ordered).

Don't think we'll be returning here for a while.

Visited around 6.30 on a Friday evening and it was nearly empty. Service was good and the vegetarian burger looked good, but when I picked it up, water started dribbling out the bottom. The patty was soggy, and the excess water made the rest go soggy too. I won't be going back.

Much to my dismay, Burger Fuel has gone downhill over the years. I really want to like Burger Fuel, because I used to absolutely love their burgers, but the continuous decline of their ingredient quality and preparation standards keeps me from being as happy as I once was. I keep going back, hoping to have that experience that I did years ago, but it just keeps getting worse.

The avocado is a funny "avo-like" sauce now, the patties have gotten thinner, and the standards seem to have dropped. What used to be a constantly busy place with a cult following is now just another somewhat successful burger place. Shame... I really do want to love it.

Bring back the burger fuel of 8 years ago and in there in a heartbeat. Otherwise it's hardly different from any of the other mediocre burger joints in Auckland.

Went to ponsonby burgerfuel about 2 weeks ago to get burgers for dinner! No one working that night knew what a 1/3 pounder was, so we got a american muscle and a cncheese with bacon, spud fries and chocolate shake. My burger had next to no garnish on it and my friends burger patty was burnt on one side and quite bland.
I went to takapuna last Wednesday got another cncheese and spud fries once again the burger was bland, the only nice part of it was the garnish. The spud fries were over done and over salted.
Burgerfuel has always been the top burger brand in my eyes and these experiences have left me very disappointed and put off the stores.

The food was very good. But the way it was packet and given was very bad. The burger to go was just put in the takeaway bag without anything wrapping it(don't know if that's the way it's done) with all the juices and sauce dripping in the bag.

Great meal! Very friendly staff, my server Harry was exceptionally great and made the dining experience just that much better. BurgerFuel continues to be an outstanding fast food establishment.

I came here on a Friday night and it was fairly busy but my friends and I had to wait very long times for our food and when it did come it came in bits and pieces. On top of this they forgit my fries. This BF doesn't have adequate number of staff to run this kitchen, needs improvement

Made an effort to visit the Ponsonby store, set in the middle of one of Auckland's busiest and most energetic strips traversing Ponsonby.

The burgers were fantastic. The patties were wholesome, gleaming with flavour from the very first bite til the last. The aioli sauce is just heavenly, as always. Tried the Burger Fuel special - thickshake, which wasn't too shabby at all.

However felt the service was rather indifferent and aloof. Ordered online for pickup, and despite having to wait an extra 10 minutes for the food to be ready, there didn't seem like any sincere acknowledgement to me as a basic customer, much less the late delivery of the food.

Overall Burger Fuel is one of those higher-end burger establishments that's very much "Kiwi". You can tell its founded and run by a bunch of born-and-bred New Zealanders, which definitely is a big plus to me, as you know it's not some migrant labour being exploited to gain residency or some sort. The burgers are definitely worth the premium you pay for, however I've found the service to be sketchy and inconsistent across the many stores I've been to throughout Auckland.

I'd probably visit again when I have the chance, just based on the fact you feel a sense of grassroots Kiwi culture associated with the business. However don't have your hopes up for any kind of personal service, unless you belong in their desired demographic.

I waited over 20 minutes to get one burger. Which when it finally came was cold? not only that but several customers came after me and left with their meals before me. The person serving me was very polite and friendly though. So the fours stars are for him.

Terrible customer service. I have been waiting 8 days now (and counting) for my simple order of 2 burgers and 2 fries to be completed. They will take your money and when they stuff up refuse to sort it. One star is too generous.

Good food served fast

Good food served fast

My only concern wasn't my meal but the person who ordered ahead of me. Their chicken /fish (couldn't tell by looking) was raw in the middle. They were promptly replaced with a new one for free. Double check what you bite into :)
