Changed my work two months ago and noticed that my new colleagues were using Bunq. I was quite skeptical about it because it's a neobank😬. But then I weighed all the pluses and minuses and came to the conclusion that it's worth a shot. I downloaded the app, opened an account, and then shifted to the Bunq Pro plan. Why? Because the pluses are really good. I have crypto and stock investments, eSIM card with some gigabytes, free ATM withdrawals, cashback, and so many other featuhres. It's a really strong neobank.
I wanna talk about the support setup, cause it left kind of a mixed feelings. When I get in touch with a real human in the chat, they actually fix my stuff fast and no ghosting. But tbh, fighting through their automated AI chatbot to get past the generic answers is a massive grind when you are in a rush. So, I’d suggest to get in touch with the team right away instead of the AI
Joint accounts sounded like something I would never use 🤷♂️... until I actually opened one. Now I get why people like this feature
With Bunq, I'm not worried when I travel because on my Bunq Elite plan, I have travel insurance and I am insured in case of baggage loss and some other things that might happen in an unfortunate way during traveling. Apart from that, it's easy to make international transfers.
I really can’t understand why ppl complain about bunq… what they can do, assign a personal customer service to each client which will wait for your question 24/7!? The problem of waiting 2-3 min, I don't get it. It’s an online bank, i understand that the customer service platform can get crowded
bunq mobile app have confused me a bit with its navigation, luckily finn ai assistant helped me a lot during my adaptation period.
I’d choose bunq as my primary bank in 8 out 10 situations. It’s easy to use, fast and has adequate banking fees. If only they don’t make these updates when they get rid of good things…
very small app, that opened an entire world for me. Now I'm not scared to travel anywhere, because I know they will accept bunq. I also dont care about if I lose a card, thats not even a thought anymore. Paying a few euros per month for this felt bad at first, but value was worth it imo. Quality of my life improved.
It was questionable how this neo bank will fit my lifestyle. But it definitely bringed some value, making my payments more convenient. At least don’t go to physical branch to make swift anymore:D
with their diverse offerings for each plan, they're in the major league of banking imho haven't seen features like subaccounts in other banks, or something similar to bunqto.
Honestly, I was expecting to contact the support frequently, solve issues and stuff because that's how I was used to doing banking before :) However, so far I have not had a single need to contact the support. It works surprisingly good. very good app ux, too
I was a victim of Bunq closing my account without prior notice and withholding my funds for an extended period. Despite patiently waiting for 60 days and attempting to resolve the issue amicably, Bunq continuously provided vague and indefinite responses, prolonging the process unnecessarily. Due to my concerns about Bunq systematically withholding customer funds with no clear timeframe, I took the following official steps: ✔ I filed a complaint with Kifid (The Dutch Institute for Financial Disputes). ✔ I submitted formal requests to DNB (The Dutch Central Bank), AFM (The Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets), and EBA (The European Banking Authority) to launch an official investigation into Bunq. ✔ (One day after I informed Bunq about my complaints to DNB, AFM, and EBA, they suddenly released my funds!) However, this is not enough! ⏳ My money was withheld for 60 days, and Bunq’s vague and evasive responses caused unnecessary financial and emotional distress. 💰 Bunq must compensate victims and cover the damages caused by this delay. ⚖ Therefore, I will continue to pursue my formal investigation requests against Bunq. 🚨 If you are also a victim of Bunq, please share your experience and report your complaint to the relevant authorities. The more complaints are filed, the higher the chances that regulators will take serious action! Let’s stand together for justice! 🔥

bunq.com is the most terrible organization I have ever encountered in my life. Firstly, without any reason or explanation, they closed my account. In addition, my remaining money in the account disappeared. To all my letters asking me to justify closing the account and withholding my money, support responds with the same phrases and only after lunch. They probably sell very good weed in Holland! It has already been more than four months since my money was blocked, there is no information from the bank on the timing of returning my money. Please tell me what right any financial organization can have to withhold my money? I urge all owners of funds frozen by this underdeveloped bank to contact the consumer protection society in Holland en masse. This abuse on the part of bunq.com must stop. Scammer. I made a transfer to my bank in Bulgaria, but suddenly, without warning, my profile was closed, the money was not credited to the account, I can’t write/call anyone, any attempt to message received an automatic response “your profile is blocked, you cannot send messages” ".
I can agree that the bunq customer support team is not that quick to respond, but you don't need to resort to them very often. And by the way, just go to the FAQ section next time you have a question. There is a lot of useful information and maybe even the answer to your hypothetical question is already there ;-)
I can't find the right words to say how useful Bunq travel card ? is in my life. And I can't say that I am a nomad, who travels here and there all the time. Yet all the conditions are beneficial to me and I can only imagine how fruitful they are for those who travel a lot. It's just one of the features that makes it stand out. There are many more for any type of customer with any type of need. It's also great that everything can be done via the app. I still don't get used to it?
Read the terms and conditions,Stay away, they close my account, without any indicated reason and sitting on my balance for 8 month, to avoid any claims they say. But in the Tand C they can stay forever with my funds
Using the app makes me feel relieved that I am actually doing something positive, at least I know that the money I spend is going to a more noble cause. It's nice to know that I help save forests, trees, get more oxygen, this is the future of our children. I have always contributed to the cause, but with bunq I get to run my business while they help save the planet with my contribution. It's great when you're someone who cares!
One of the things I love about Bunq is how easy it is to add notes and attachments to transactions. It's like having a little diary where I keep track of my spending habits and what I bought with my hard-earned cash. And on top of that, the option to download transaction history from bunq has really been a lifesaver for your tax return. I can easily view all my expenses and tax deductions in one place, without having to search through thousands of receipts.

this is a scam app that steals your time and your money. if you forgot the login code - it redirects you to the Revolut, ING, ABN payment systems and charges your money from them. This app was made to steal
Scam scam scam!!!!! Never work with this bank! they are scammers! They closed my account unexpectedly, without warning and they will not return €3,448 to me. My messages are not answered, they have no contact phone number or physical address! If you have any problem with this bank, no one will help you, you will be left alone with this problem! I am very disappointed and would not advise you to use their services! Does anyone know how to report them? maybe there is some EU oversight body? I'm desperate!:((

This is only banking in 2018, go crazy and get rid of those dusty old-fashioned banks. Bunq also simply has a banking license from De Nederlandse Bank so no worries about your money up to 100,000. Great app, finally the feeling that you yourself are 'in control' about your money. Features? Apple Pay / Tap & Pay, DUAL-pin, 25 IBANs, best and fastest support you've ever experienced, etc etc. Too many to mention! A satisfied customer for more than 2 years.

View of a very nice bank, I am currently more active on Bunq than ING. At Bunq you have everything under control and their customer service is really top they are helpful and also nice I had a problem they said you can solve this and so they said if it does not work you can contact us at the support that did not have to once it was successful and a day later I got a message back from you it worked TOP!
Drama with this bank, why would you have to pay 7.99 euros for a bank hahah 15 bank accounts and that will be the intention of that. You are much cheaper at abn amro and ingbank. Depositing money at bunq is certainly no faster than ingbank and at abn amro. But why would you have to pay 8 euros if I pay an extra package? Convenience Extra 3.15 euros plus I can open 5 bank accounts for the pass for free, I would pay 0.60 euros at abn amro, at least they are fair when it comes down to that amount.
Their rates and fees are so high, it's higher than regular banks. They would also overcharge fees at times, and when you call in for the adjustments, it would take weeks for your money to get credited back to your account.
I am a business bunq user from the very beginning. What initially seemed to be an innovative bank, has now turned into a bank that does not want to listen to its customers. As a freelancer with various web shops, bunq seemed a good alternative a few years ago. It started with 0, - later to 9.99 a month. I can still earn income there because we all have to earn. But recently you have to pay 2.99 extra for the extra 25 "free" bank accounts. This is because the relevant additional account was linked to a trade name. For 4 extra webshops with a bank account, that will be nice. Add to that the 0.10 euros for all transactions (both payments and receipts) and you are in no time at more than 30, - per month in bank costs !! This makes them the most expensive bank in the Netherlands. And to top it all, an upgrade to V3 of the bunq app that I don't understand. Totally not user friendly, only available in dark mode and nonsensical messages about 'planting trees' and 'badges you've earned' appear everywhere you click. As a business user I am not waiting for that. Have now switched to KNAB. Hopefully they get it there. Goodbye bunq !!
Do not choose Bunq! It looks so easy and fast, but you will experience sooo much problems afterwards. Really a pity, I like their brand and vision, but it just doesn't work.

bunq is a customer-oriented company with a very innovative concept. bunq is therefore an alternative to conventional banks.
Unfortunately I made a big mistake by starting a business account with Bunq. After opening my business account and depositing money on it, it was impossible to make payments or to pin. Of course, the costs of the business subscription have simply been written off, but this turns out to be possible. I have been talking to the Bunq support for 2 weeks now which is of no use at all, I have already been told 4 times that my problem has been solved. I also have to verify every 2 days by sending a driver's license / passport photo, it seems totally unnecessary to me, but this seems to be an error in the app. Since the update of the Bunq app nothing works, it seems like they don't even test the updates because I read so many complaints ... I do not recommend anyone to work with Bunq. Unfortunately, after 2 weeks I still have no access to my own money, I cannot pin and I have to verify every 2 days. Support is dramatic as this can only be done via chat. I will switch to another bank as soon as possible!
Absolute disaster story. Bunch of customer unfriendly, 1st class amateurs who haven't eaten cheese from banking. Refuse to a business account incoming payments from foreign customers. The "risk" would be too great. You will only find out if you are going to ask your customer where his payment is. Bunq himself does not tell you. Like oiled lightning back to my old couch!
Their customer service people are like robots. They give you standard answers and provide the same links to every problem, It's annoying, especially when you test their knowledge, and they seem incompetent

If you travel you get a very low commission exchange rate plus the cards are really cool!
You can name many features but one that really makes the difference is the possibility to connect accounts. Love the dual PIN too.

Unreliable App Features Since it claims to be a bank app, their features should be top of the line. But it's the opposite. I would not recommend using this app for your bank transactions. One look at the app and I don't trust it. Keeps on showing errors for every option that I choose. Save yourself some trouble and don't use it.
It would be a fine company if they didn't steal your money, he predicts in and out come but out come will be taken from your account with no reason or whatsoever not even who received it and that's kinda shady.... So for the people with bunq recount your income and outcome and you'll find out they steal money bit by bit and it's not traceable where it went...
Always recommend bunq to my friends and family. Make banking way more simple.

Can't really understand this app. It's complicated and not user-friendly. A lot of glitches and there's always an updated. Stopped using this and deleted it after a week of trial.
I just joined this bank recently and I have to say I'm very pleased. Sign up was fast and the app runs great. Perfect for transfers because money is sent quite quickly.

Opened a Bunq account especially for Apple Pay. Works perfectly
Bunq used to be an excellent bank... The keyword here is "used to be." Since their update to the latest version and all the paid credit cards they want customers to pay money for, it has become an unusable app. They no longer take their PAYING customers who don't pay the extra fee for a credit card into account. The app has a bunch of unnecessary statistics and buttons now that only apply to people with the credit cards. Their support is slow and hard to reach and they never respond to all the questions. This is made worse by the fact that you can only open one support ticket at a time, so if you have two issues, you are forced to mix them together and then only get a response for half of what you sent... They told me this was on purpose to prevent duplicates. I also had quite a few unrecognized charges this morning. There used to be a button to report those. I never needed it but I knew it was there. Now that I wanted to actually use the button on my six unrecognized charges from the same merchant, there wasn't an option anymore. Now, their procedure is that I have to first reach out to the merchant (not an option in this case, as there is no merchant... it's just random Bank of America charges), then prove to them that the merchant is unhelpful and then, and only then, will they maybe take action. I have reached out to their support again, but I am pretty sure those 70 EUR are gone forever... I can't wait to switch bank. Already working on finding another bank that fits my needs. For a bank that charges me quite a bit of money each month, I would expect customer service, a functioning app, and things like that, but at BUNQ this is no longer the case. Stay away! :(

I loved them before the update, but after V3 they are not taking their customers seriously and plain ignore complaints about the new app, mainly the Instagram feed and the stat-counters. On top of that, when you criticize them on their forums, you get blocked without notice.

Bunq is so impersonal that most scam artists choose this bank. The police told me this. And scammer pages also show that 9 out of 10 scammers have Bunq. Are you making a transaction to a Bunq account? Then think 3 more times whether you are not getting ripped off.
If you could have Apple Pay being a Dutch user would be simply perfect, so far amazing experience, good job!
