Our experience at this hospital should not even receive a 1 star. Extremely disapppointed with Dr. SOMROENG of PEDIATRIC ORTHOPEDICS. Today he called us about the CT scan we had done on our daugther (A WEEK AGO) and said, "2 options. 1. Do nothing or 2. Have surgery. We asked a few questions and then he said, "You decide. I have another patient." He spent at the most 2 minutes with us and hung up on us while we were trying to ask pertinent questions about a SURGERY. We called back and someone said they woudl try to get us answers. They of course never called back. We asked the dr if he thought the surgery was necessary and if he'd do it on his daughter, and he said "yes, I would. Another patient" and hung up. Our red flags with him and this whole dept were confirmed today with how he treated us. We would never let him treat our daughter. We think he's most concerned with money. Our experiences in Singapore hospitals for orthopedic issues has been so much better; we will go there for our daughter for this orthopedic need. We are thankful we have that option.

Nurses don't speak polite ALWAYS i hope they have service training. When i make appointment, nurse called me to confirm the appointment. I asked the another time slot and she keeps repeating she has another patient in that time which she doesn't listened to me well, she says what she want to say. The way of the nurse was not so polite always.. When i meet nurses at hospital, i feel not happy and my husband also feels same. I strongly recommend to go to Samitivej hospital they give nice service.

I paid for vaccination package, i called the nurse to check how many vaccination i have left within package, she checked and said i need to bring my book and checked with doctor. Sigh... I dont know why she cant check with the system and i have to visit hospital for this small question. I think its language problem or service issue...

One of the best hospitals in the entire Asia. Has a huge modern facilities for medical treatments with very experienced and well trained doctors, nurses and other staffs. Environment is very good and hospitable. But treatment cost is very high and expensive here.

Good service, good doctors, expensive for Thai people

Got ripped off for a 3D ultrasound scan. Not sure if the doctor wasn t communicating due to lack of English skills but we weren t communicated properly and had to guess what was going on.

Very bad scam based hospital. The washroom was filthy despite two ladies entering to clean it each day. They milked me for extra money by refusing to let me go when I was well, claiming I cannot leave until the doctor releases me. Two day later when the doctor finally showed up, he prescribed as many unnecessary drugs as possible which I was forced to buy from the hospital before they would begin the releasing process.

Waited for doctor and medicine like half a day to get 1 bag of rehydration salt and another bag of charcoal. Pharmacist/doctor should be able to prescribe medicine to meet insurance cap more wisely and sincerely.

One of the best private hospital care service in bangkok. Well quality is parallel with rprice. It s not economic service fee. Though It s a huge, clean, open, roomy, spacious and hygiene. I took 1 star out because of the price ...

I've used this hospital for 10yrs. The general checkups etc are ok, but if you need more service it's getting harder and harder. Their administration is a complete mess. Making and changing appointments is a disaster and everyone is always confused and doesn't respond. I recommend trying BKK hospital because if you start with a general checkup you will likely need something else and then you slowly sink into the quagmire. Current operations VP or admin needs to be removed.

i feel this hospital is over rated compared to other international hospitals in bangkok. The doctors from Kids department here seem have low EQ. they have little patient on us when we have questions. Every time we felt extremly nervous instead of relax.
for example: They just cant understand my new born baby is from a different nation, so he has different body size. keep telling my new born baby to loose weight cause he is too big. I told the doctor that my home country doctor said his body is in average. The doctor got angry and said he use USA standard.
If we refuse to let our new born baby loose weight, he cant be our doctor any more. I was like speechless.
Last time my wife went there alone and cried in his office. he told her he refuse to see us anymore.
later we found out other parents has similar experience in this hospital, so we changed to other international hospitals and felt very good with all the doctors. we feel being respected and mentally relax.

I think this hospital has surpassed it s peak. At one point it was known as being one of the best medical tourist hospitals. My experience was mediocre. While they are very responsive on email and setting your agenda for the day, their ability to keep the agenda is a struggle.

Much more important are two other issues:

1) The dental clinic is nothing like the experience at the main hospital. It is rushed, careless, and there is a blatant upsell for possibly unnecessary treatment. since my time there I have seen two other dentists have agreed that the treatment recommended was completely unnecessary and consequences exaggerated. Plus, the prices at the dental clinic, for anything other than cleaning, have become excessive.

2) During colonoscopy, which is supposed to be a procedure where the patient is unconscious, I regained consciousness. While the pain is not seriously significant, it is still unpleasant, and the nurses did not believe that I was awake and aware for the procedure. they would not stop, be patient, and listen, A notorious Thai problem. When I finally got time with the doctor the next day, and I emphasized that this truly took place, she did seem to be genuinely concerned.

The moral of the story is that now that they have a great client base and a worldwide name with recognition, they kind of rush things. I think you can still get quality medical care there for a good price, compared to Western nations, but I think if you do a little research there are some superior facilities.

Great international hospital. Expensive but compensated with the services. They provide translators, not only English translation but also many other languages.

I had a serious accident, first I was in a hospital in Udonthani, very poor care. On December 30th he said after useless operations, I can still help you and disappeared on vacation without a medical report. The ADAC then got a helicopter and let me fly to Bumrungrad on December 31st. Arrived at 4:00 p.m. medical examination. Operate immediately or else I'll lose my leg. The doctors canceled the New Year's Eve party, because I ate lunch at noon I could only be operated on at 8:00 p.m. My leg was saved with an operation lasting several hours. Treatment and care was more than 5 stars. Back to the BGU Duisburg, a nightmare. A descent against the Bumrungrad and nurses completely overwhelmed by our personnel policy .. I immediately longed for Thailand.

There is Japanese language reception and consultation is provided with interpreter. The explanation when I got the medicine was English. There is a free shuttle van to BTS Nana Station.

Hospital is amazing overall, some of the nurses are somewhat unprofessional but the doctors are very good

The quality of hospital and medical is top. But the waiting time for general checkup is worse... 30 mins just wait to see general doctor and another 1 hours just wait for injection... The only reason that we came here is because it close to home. Otherwise, this hospital is one of most expensive and not worse money.

This hospital charges what they want to. First speak to your medical aid. Doctors' fees vary from visit to visit. Overpriced.

It is well organized and the staff are very friendly and helpful

this hospital has lost its no: 1 hospital in thailand and has become too commercialized and forget its goal.

The check up takes 8 hrs and depending on the choice it is now very costly around 300 usd or if you are 66 yrs old like me it will cost over usd 1000. And they tell you that the report will take 2 weeks by email. I remember coming to this hospital every year for 10 yrs and get the full report either same day or next day!!!

Bottom line it is too expensive, you dont get the report for at least 2 weeks. Unbelievable

Fantastic luxurious facilities. Telephone handling very bad. Expect to wait 25 minutes and be passed from pillar to post. Very frustrating. It's a vast beurocracy.

I love this hospital, best hospital i have ever visited in my life.

It s a great international hospital in Bangkok treating a huge amount of patients from all over the world. On the downside, it s very expensive and the amount of patients (some are very impatients) makes that the the staff is not always able to be friendly.

Not very happy, its not about how good the hospital but how honest the doctor is you will see.
Last year I was very happy this year.. just had bad luck with the doctor.. After examine my eyes he basically said that previous procedure done by a specialist in the USA was not good, but his would be better! Not believe that! I think he just wanted to do the laser prophylaxis to charge a good amount of $$ :( Also In additional to his office visit why is he charging me additional 2,200 bht for checking my eyes. I thought an eye doctor visit would include that ??? Disappointed after visit and will be more careful next time.. Also the doctor was not friendly... If you can't deal with private patients work in a city hospital and help the poor :)

The food of the patient is very delicious. There is a menu to choose 1 day in advance, including Thai, Japanese, Indian and European food.

Best hospital service for Neck Nose and mouse. Easy to ask for advice.

Difficult to go there by car due to traffic in that zone. It means you must well manage time. Doctors are ok but service staffs always confuse to response and action in order to go to best service point. Price charging is very high when compare to service.

If you can travel here you won't be disappointed!

Global hospital and accurate diagnosis I would recommend to visit

Excellent facility and staff. I did 2 full executive health exams. Everything was done in half a day - cardiogram including stress test, ultrasound, full blood work, hearing and sight, etc.. Can't do that in Canada in a day. Cost relative to what you're getting is amazing.

Avoid their dental department at all costs! Worst teeth cleaning and check up and if you dare yelp from pain, the dentist will get angry! Unprofessional and very impatient.

We wait for an hour for the evening clinic. Considered the price of the service, better visit Bangkok hospital nearby.

Went into thinking that it was not a hospital Like the hotel

I saw the Bumrungrad Hospital, now there is a pro, the check is free, so you can call to make a funny appointment where you can call the person who answers the call. Here I chose Saturday. (When calling for an appointment on Wednesday) Enough to come and check Nurse said that contact must be removed 5 days in advance.
Please ask if it's a waste of time. Instead of telling from when calling to make an appointment What preparation must be done before an appointment?
Here I thought that the same as making glasses Is to take off for 1 hour and check

one of the best hospital in Asia and world as well. the facilities which provides for the patient is so good and their patients are really happy to see the facilities provided by the management of hospital is unbelievable. lots of foreigner are come over to take the good treatment from the hospital. the doctors of the hospital are really really good and very much cordial to treatment. I have seen lots of Bangladeshi people are come over there to take the good treatment rather than Bangladesh.

Great and fast service and the doctors are care about patients

Slow care of patients pre/post treatment, you have sometimes to wait more than for your consultation. A significant amount of staff but it just work somehow, limited efficiency.

Little expensive but I'm always grateful to this hospital. Customer service is awesome. Once you enter the hospital you'll be entertained by very professional ppl.

Very professional hospital, well organised in term of appointments, customer service , dedication in health services / we had salivary gland operation and its goes well with Dr. kimcharrt - ENT . Also I had full chk up program and it's give u full health report about ur self, yes it's expensive but I think it's worth to have it once every year

Came here for a small procedure with my wife earlier in the year and it s an extremely good modern hospital well staffed, equipped, top doctors etc. got a great reputation, but is pretty costly as far as Thai private hospitals go.

Me and my family are visiting and taking care from this hospital from the last 20 years. Unfortunately the service of this hospital is going down day by day. It is very disappointing. I hope the authority is going to take some action to improve its service.

I came to bangkok for holiday for few days, unfortunately i was sick & went to see doctor at this hospital yesterday. Their services are excellent, all nurses & doctors are very kind & pleasant, they explained to me clearly. As this is a private doctors, their fees are not cheap but still reasonable.

In the heart-department they found a 80% occlusion, not having been diagnosticated in Switzerland, and saved my live (no charge for it on the bill.....!) As a world-traveller I can say: they are the best, modestly written!

I have been here twice now (once with insurance, and once wihtout). Unethical hospital. Add on fees that they say you will not be charged. Make you do extra tests without ever finding anything is wrong. Charge sometimes 10x more than other hospitals in Bangkok. For small questions and short consults will always charge standard 1500 baht fee, if not more. Extra charges for small things. Always check your bill!

Nurses are nice, but only because you will spend all your money here. Shady practice. Never coming back. Only go here if you have your own insurance or if you're super rich.

We came from China to give birth here. The hospital was clean and sterile. The doctor's bedside manners weren't that great.

I have been going to Bumrungrad in anticipation of hip arthroplasty in mid-December. Compared to ANY hospital I have been to in the USA (I am a Dallas, TX native) this one is top-notch. The doctors and the staff have seemingly been tireless to assure I have received top quality care. I trust my doctors and the teams of workers that function along-side them. Great work, Bumrungrad!

Hospital service is too good but the price is too much higher experience charge me 7017 baht for my daughter fever I was surprised when I went to the cashier when I heard 7017 baht. Good hospital but too expensive.
My choice next time i should go to a government hospital where the price of the treatment will be around 800 bhat .

It is a big modern hospital. I used it once at the food. The teacher was not Japanese, but a Japanese interpreter woman was attached and it was inconvenient. There are delicious coffee shops, restaurants in McDonalds and cakes in the hospital, and also a drug store in the back of the second floor, so you can easily go without having to be sick. If by any chance, I got hospitalized in Bangkok, I thought that absolutely would be nice.

Very good facilities. A weak point is the traffic jam in this area.

Amazing Hospital complex/clinic. Before i came here I was stuck on the toilet because of some weird crabs germs that got into my gut. But with my first visit to the clinic at Bumrungrad, my bum was grand. Doctors of all languages are also available here

Our common child was born there. Everything about the birth. Pre-care, birth and subsequent further treatment. Everything at the highest level. Managed by Americans, Thai medical staff has studied almost exclusively in Australia or USA. Top, top, top. Organization top. Price performance top. Could I do an operation alternatively in Germany or there, I would choose the BMG.

Absolutely disgraceful operations. I had classic symptoms of deep vein thrombosis, so my insurance's nurse insisted I go to an ER. They rejected me from the ER, sending me to an out-patient clinic. After a couple of hours, a doctor spends less than a minute with me and determines it's a "leg infection" and diagnoses antibiotics. I ask about doing an ultrasound and I am told there's no need. I get a health statement signed by the doctor saying no DVT.

That should have been the end of my time at this hospital. But I made an appointment the next day with a vein specialist. I show up at my appointment time and find the doctor isn't working today. I'm rescheduled with another doctor hours later - being ensured that I'd be the second patient of his. I wait around for hours... well beyond the appointment time. Finally I'm seen. And guess what? This doctor thinks I should get an ultrasound to check for DVT. You know, the condition that I definitely don't have according to the earlier doctor. The trouble is, the doctor is leaving before they can do the ultrasound and won't be back in the office before I leave Bangkok.

I wish there were more stars to add for my review! There are simply not enough words to describe our visit here for my husband s double knee replacement surgery and recovery with two incredible doctors: Dr. Pitt and his associate Dr. Panya!
We have never felt more well cared for than at Bumrungrad. They worked well with our insurance and requested everything they needed a head of time. The surgery went well, with a few of the normal bumps, but every worry or question we ever had was addressed right away with kindness, professionalism and respect. The 12th floor D nurses and aides were simply OUTSTANDING!!!! As was the inpatient and later the outpatient physical therapy!
Dr. Naruporn was wonderful as well.
The 20th and 16th floor check in stations as well as the nurses and office staff at each station were amazing! Friendly, always smiling even with a difficult patient and there to help in any way.
Another group we need to give a shout out to are all of the Porters who are there immediately when you need them! They come with a wheelchair and are courteous and professional as well. What wonderful guys and gals!!
This may sound funny but even the security guards and traffic guides are kind and professional! Shout outs to all of them who helped stop the busy traffic often following beside us until we crossed the street, saluting us, giving a thumbs up and smiling.
This hospital is run so efficiently and effectively it is breath taking!
The cashiers were also superb and professional with everyone, even when being yelled at (yes I witnessed it) they maintained the composure and simply listened, I was so impressed!
I also had appointments and tests done and the customer service was just as excellent for me! MRI, X-Ray and the spine center rocked!
We will be back for everything we need! The costs are so much less than in the U.S.
