Impressed with every facet of professionalism from start to finish. By far the best international hospital in Thailand for experience and the fees charged. The 20th Flr pain/Neurosurgery Dept is second to none.

Service in general is good but I travelled from Laos where I am residing at the moment, I saw 2 specialists then blood test by fasting next morning 7am, after all results about 11.30am I could see only 1 of those doctors because the other was too busy, asked to go next day at least and not a chance but sending information by email..! Is that a good and complete service I wonder? I have to go back without a proper and complete consultation but paid for it!

Nurses are not professional. According to vaccinate around Waiting to see a doctor Waiting for about 1 hour, see a doctor. The doctor also asked why. (Regular doctor) Vaccination around. No need to see a doctor. To wait another half hour zzzz. Go to the nursing counter. It leaves us tucked into the southern end yet.
Waiting to wait

I still think it pays to get good service. Disappointed

The hospital is more like a 5 star hotel than a hospital. The place to go if you are trying to find avenues to throw away money. There was only 2 patients before me, so no long waiting. The doc and nurse (doing the test) explained things well, but the allergy specialist charged me twice for one visit, one for seeing him first, and the second time (half an hour later!) for seeing the result of the test he asked to do. And he prescribed same medicines as a MBBS doc prescribed 3 years ago with no tests! The difference in charges 6000 vs 100!

This review is for Dr Kwanluck Losiri.

This review is for Dr Kwanluck Losiri.

Horrible experience. Stay away from Dr Kwanluck. She is not a good dentist plus she has a bad personality that she can lie to the patient easily. Management also is thief.

While I had some business meetings in Bangkok, I wanted to visit Dr. Dentist for necessary fillings and fixing the partially broken crown.
The reception lady is so nice and she tries to do her job very well.

My first visit is for fillings and cleaning. Dr June took care of the fillings. She did great job. She was so patient. She explained me one by one what she plans to treat. After couple fillings, she cleaned the black dots. Only one filling was so sensitive first 2-3 days. Today s the tenth day and I feel much better. Overall Mr June did her job very well. And also her personality was so nice to help you feel better.

My second visit was for my partially broken crown. It s pretty good actually but I wanted to replace it when I have time. Dr. Kwanluck was the dentist. It was Sunday. She told me that the treatment will be finished on Tuesday and if any fixes needed I need to stay one more day. Then I decided to extend my stay 2 more days. After she removed the existing crown. While she was removing the existing crown, she was talking in Thai with her assistant and laughing. I felt so nervous. Then I came for new crown on Wednesday instead of Tuesday because the the crown could not be ready. Before Dr. Kwanluck started the treatment she said maybe ten times that she is in rush. Oh my God, she is really good at making you uncomfortable. After she started the treatment, she kept saying that she is in rush. I didn t feel myself that nervous for a long time. I felt like I wanted to scream. Then she couldn t fit the crown because it was big. The worst part is this: She started to scratch other good teeth to fit the crown. I wanted her to stop but it was too late. She already defected the good teeth. When I asked the reason, she lied me that she was cleaning the black dots. She started to tell something in Thai and laughed for a while. That was like a scary movie. And then you know what happened; she was gone. She left in the middle of treatment. I am so thankful that she left actually. Then Dr. June came. She explained nicely what she will do. Of course she couldn t fit the crown. She put a temporary crown. At the end of day I lost my existing crown and have a defected new teeth. I was charged 23000 baht for crown treatment. I was refunded only 10000 baht. I paid 13000 baht to loose my crown and have a new defected teeth. Plus a nightmare with Dr. Kwanluck.
After 10 days, the temporary crown was completely broken.

Result: Dr June who is a young dentist was great.
Dr. Kwanluck was a nightmare. She was old and it looks like she is the owner or partner of Dr Dentist. Just STAY AWAY from her. She is not a good dentist and her personality is not good enough to take care of any patient.

The treatment profession is meticulous! Although it is more expensive, it is worth it.
Before I was misdiagnosed by other hospitals, the cecum ruptured and almost caused severe peritonitis.
Fortunately, they helped me with an emergency, and the postoperative recovery was good and the wounds were small.
I am very grateful for the good care I received during my stay.

The interior of the hospital that does not seem to be a hospital. If you do not have insurance, it will be expensive, so if you have overseas travel insurance, it is a particularly recommended hospital in Bangkok with well-equipped facilities.

There is also a cafeteria where you can eat, so patients and their families can use the waiting time at the hospital meaningfully.

The nearest station is Ploenchit Station (BTS) or Nana Station on the Skytrain. It takes more than 10 minutes to walk, so it is recommended to take a taxi.

This is the WORST hospital you could go to. Looking fancy is not everything!

Went here as it was recommended on google - however, after being recommended a series of treatments I then sat without water as an out patient for 7 hours while my insurance told them again and again and again they would cover me as an inpatient.

The hospital constantly tried to get me to pay deposits and told me that my insurance wouldn t cover certain necessities only to be told by insurance YET AGAIN they were happy to cover it!

All this (and asking me to sign documents) while I was seeing double and shaking violently from illness!

Absolute trash for the price - they try to abuse your illness to get as much money as they can, it s really disgusting.

GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE!

I don't recommand, the doctor prescribed me a 800 euros check up package without telling me the price (hopefully I've asked before doing all the tests). Finaly I'm gonna pay 300 euros for blood tests only, definitly too expensive for the service

The taxi service wasted my time. I showed them the address to Bangkok international dental center center on my phone through google. They said 1st time Bangkok hospital, I told them no. Then showed them the address again, they said ok. I thought everything is fine. When the taxi picked me up and reached the destination, it was Bangkok Hospital. I then told the taxi driver the correct address to Bangkok International dental Center.
The stuff at taxi service wasted my time for nothing and I made me go to my appointment late. I have never seen such stuff with bad concentration to what customers say. I hope I won't need to use it again.

The actually saved my live...I got a salmonella poisoning and lost a lot of water. Got dehydrated and already passed out.
Minutes later the emergency room startet working on me and 3 days later I was able to leave the hospital and the country.
Good service and nice people.

BUT: If you are not able to pre pay you will not receive any treatment. Make sure that you have at least 6.000 to 8.000 THB cash or a credit card available.

Never met with more terrible service. Externally, the clinic looks representative. You can wait in comfortable chairs. But you have to wait sooooooooo long! I spent five hours and four hundred dollars on a routine trip to a gynecologist and taking a sample for cytology. Attendants, including supposedly competent doctors, practically do not speak English. The routine procedure for Russia was extremely painful in this clinic.
I strongly recommend avoiding this clinic.

The bill I had to pay before treatment plus the same amount again as a deposit?
At the end of the treatment I had to wait for drugs 20minutes (No other people were here on drug counter)!

The drugs are extremely overpriced in this hospital!
I paid 3-4 more than in the pharmacy!
With the drugs bill cheated in order to keep only the depositary can!
Otherwise I was very satisfied with the medical treatment!
But not to be compared as in Switzerland where I come from

Five stars. Period. Great care and staff is extremely accommodating. Almost everyone speaks multiple languages with English being one of the most common. If you are going for surgery, pay the extra money and get the one-person room and pay for the extra night up front. You will thank me for both later. Otherwise, cannot say anything bad about the place...

I came here with a case of traveller's stomach. When the intake nurse took my BP, she told me I should see an ER doctor since my BP was low. Don't let yourself be pressured - bring a friend with you to help you make medical decisions when you're in a compromised state. When I got into the ER they retook my blood pressure and it was fine. Cool so, now I owe $400 for a cold bed and a handful of overpriced antibiotics.

Thailand's medical care is truly affordable - unless you're a loaded expat, go anywhere else. This place takes a page from the American medical pricing model.

Very expensive, but fast and professional: approx. 5100 Baht for a consultation, laboratory test and medication:
Was here with the flu because of a high fever, got the appointment for the next day in the evening. Registration at the hospital was quick, and I got through to the doctor in a draft. The advice was competent and friendly, and the doctor recommended carrying out a test for influenza. The results were ready in 1 hour. Then medication was prescribed, which you can get directly at the hospital after payment.
Services were calculated as follows:
1900 - drugs
1250 - laboratory (influenza test)
1500 - Consultation with a doctor (Physician Fee)
380 - Hospital Service Charge
120 - Nursing Charge

Dr. Medcine Pattama Rimmakunsub is the most unethical doctor she has ever seen. She has very poor character and no courtesy. The patient asked her to change her attitude and drive the patient out of the clinic directly. Then she yelled and laughed in the clinic. ! Even the nurse couldn't understand the "doctor".

Worst experience of my life! Please don t use this hospital ever! We were supposed to check out from staying a night at noon but 8 hours later the hospital still hasn t figure out the cost with the insurance company! We basically waited 8 straight hours for the bill and paperwork. This hospital is extremely slow in responding to all matter period! Furthermore, the nurses here doesn t seem to genuinely care about the patient at all considering that this hospital is an internationally qualified hospital.

We are a family member of a hospital.
Over the last 10 years, every step in providing a comprehensive view, the key is to pay attention to the feelings of the patient.
If you come into the hospital. This is the first glimpse that the international airport or because foreign patients have equal numbers of men and money to lift Thailand's International Hospital.

Unexpectedly, a child with allergies to food, Google searched Bangkok hospitals in the morning, and many recommended this one, and it was not far from the residence, and on the road where department stores gathered in the downtown area, I came without a word
* Clean, clean and bright, unlike a hospital, it really looks like a restaurant, like a lobby, every floor looks like
* It feels like a health check center or VIP medical center attached to a relatively advanced hospital in China
* Of course the charges are not cheap (compared to Taiwan and Thailand)
* Is it because it is too early, or the hospital is set up to accept foreigners, or the hospital is originally set up to accept people who are more expensive. I observe that the people entering and leaving the hospital do look like people of the middle and high class (well you know, If you travel through the streets of Bangkok and department stores, you will find that the city is all-encompassing)
* There is a Chinese-English translation, I suspect there are more language translations, but it seems to have to add money (remember that it is on the bill, but the cost is less than the medical treatment fee)
* There is a small refrigerator for free soy milk ice water
* Please remember to obtain the original medical receipt and diagnosis certificate (only in English), preferably two or more copies. After returning to your country, you can apply for health insurance and personal insurance, and even travel inconvenience insurance (please pay attention to whether your insurance includes registered medical treatment)
* Pay attention to safety and food, it is best for everyone to travel here without coming here

I visit the hospital on march 2015 .

now in July 2016 I am receiving a bill for 17,000 BT extra I tried to contact them without success..... today I broke in and I found somebody to talk to I asked the lady do you have my email she replied yes why you did send me any emails for the last year and a half almost. I will not recommend this Hospital to anybody note to my friend and not to my enemies ........please be advised........

I have spent 1100 night in true last 8 years at Marriott hotels alone. Been all over the world. Play poker with two of the two biggest hospital CEOs in the US. A bazillion Dr friends.... Bumrungrad is flat out the best service of any hospital in the world. My experience on two separate visits over the last two years has been outstanding. I come for their executive physical program, and then to see a few specific specialists. Today My lead Dr was Ms. Punjapa. She is was amazing, gave me all of the information I requested and provided me with suggestions I never thought of. After chatting for a while she told me she was also a lawyer in addition to being a Dr... This kind of dedication to learning is truly amazing to me. It s worth the plane ticket to Bangkok just to use this hospital

My husband and I have been 3 times to Bumrungrad t...

My husband and I have been 3 times to Bumrungrad this past month and every time the new computer system was blamed for the long waits. My latest appointment entailed a 2 1/2 hour wait, not because there were so many patients in front of me, but because the computer system did not work. My husband had a similar problem recently when he was kept waiting more than an hour to receive his medicine at the pharmacy. "Sorry sir, compter not working". Today I took a friend to see a doctor and we had a 40 minutes wait at the cashier although there were only 2 people ahead of us and they were already being served when we arrived. Apparently their billing was messed up by the hospital's computer system. The hospital has now reduced the cashier and pharmacy to only the 14th floor, and there were only 2 cashiers on duty. It's a disaster!! Teething problems with new computer systems are understandable, but to still have so many problems after an entire month is disappointing.

I would review as negative star if I could. I do not even want to give one star for rating. The worst and most dangerous doctors Sira Sooparb who referred Assistant. Prof. Dr. Vachai Srimuninn and his team work in this hospital I have encounter. It is all about money and it will suck as much as money out of your pocket. This hospital cost us over $200K for 21 days. I asked one of the doctor who said that the hospital have never treat patient with skin disease that my mom had. Without any further detail ordeal that we went through, it was the most hellish experience that I have. One example is that the doctor Vachai scraped my mother blister skin on every part of her both legs without anesthesia or pain killer about 2 hrs a day, 2 -3 times for nearly 2 weeks for and all the pool of blood came out of her skin on both leg and most painful experience that mom had. We requested to change different doctor to asked for second opinion. Dr. Sira denied our request and threatened to quit and refuse to treat my mom further with his team. My mom did not have to die and deserve to die like this. My mom had post-traumatic stress after operation which under some circumstances lead to death. The hospital management was bad also. She did not deserve to die this way under this hospital.

Don't believe the hype. This is the most overrated...

Don't believe the hype. This is the most overrated hospital in Asia, and it deserves none of the praise that it gets. I have been here several times over the last decade in Thailand, and every time has been a horribly disappointing experience. The doctors (neurologists, GP, cardiologists, gynecologists, etc.) that me or my wife have seen have all been completely useless and unprofessional. They are happy to request diagnostics because it brings the hospital money, but they are totally lazy and incompetent, and have zero investigative capacity. It comes from the poor education system of Thailand - it doesn't teach people to think for themselves. If it isn't out of a textbook, the doctors here will not be able to find what is wrong with you. They are also very immoral and unprofessional, and will do anything they can to get you to pay more money at the hospital, including spending 2 minutes on the first appointment to request a bunch of unnecessary tests, and still charging you daylight-robbery prices for the visit, and telling you to come back again tomorrow.

The staff and nurses are rude and unhelpful. I know nurses who work there, and do not expect any of your information to be confidential - they all go through patient records and share the information amongst their gossip circles - most of them are just looking for foreign husbands. If you try to use insurance, good luck. They will sometimes try to tell you that you can't use the insurance, and they will offer no help at all to contact the insurance company about pre-authorized payments. Every other hospital I have been to here has been very helpful in this regard, but not Bumrungrad.

The layout of the buildings is beyond unintelligent. It is chaotic, claustrophobic, and unintuitive. There aren't enough lifts, and they are too small. Signage is poor, and the building design is atrocious. Also, can you imagine if there was a fire at the hospital? With narrow alleys and constant congestion, there would be no escape - everyone would die.

So what's good about Bumrungrad? Probably the food, and they have some expensive equipment, although I don't have any expectations that any of the staff actually know how to use it. Avoid this place - there are many better hospitals in the region. 5-star appearance, 1-star service.
