As a farang aka caucasian/white American this racist and presumptuous Thai government run money hungry hospital accused me of overdosing and/or using drugs which I swear to God I have never used in my life or would much less in Asia and also presumably thought I was poor and resultingly would not treat me while in multiple organ mainly renal failure from a severe case of a rare acute muscle wasting condition. They resultingly ignored me for many hrs and then pushed me into a cold dark locked closet as a woman I knew had me transferred to a hospital that saved my life. DO NOT go to this hospital in an emergency situation if you are a white foreigner, or at all for that fact, they only cater to Arabs, Thais and other Asians they think are wealthy. Ps-many think this is a private hospital, NO, it is a government hospital just a high end one so that deceives many even Thais. It is run by the Thai government. Best, Glenn

It is a high class private large hospital.

It is a high class private large hospital.
We recommend using shuttle bus rather than walking from the station
As for the information a year ago, there is a shuttle bus from Empoli next to one hour.
I am indebted in the gynecology department.
I saw a female doctor who saw many Japanese people, but always smiles! Listen to what you care about! Atmosphere.
I thought it was good to have this teacher.
The interpreter is also very high level.
However, I think it depends on the department to visit, but I was kept waiting really well (sweat)
At that time, please do not stand and check the situation by inquiring at the counter or a Japanese interpreter (I made an interpreter direct call from within the hospital).

Sadly, I can't recommend this hospital. If you are looking to do dental work - definitely go to BIDC.

After previous year's extremely positive medical experience at BIDC, I decided to go to bumrungrad to get a full body checkup. I would rank it as meh, and basically same thing that you get in USA from insurance for free.
Went to get a mole screening, and after 5 minutes (and 2000bht), the doctor redirected me to another doctor, which was a complete dck (Niyom Tantikun was the name. Would not recommend), and charged me another 1800bht (which I wasn't told about up front... Sketchy).

As others have stated, basically , the hospital does decent job, wait times are long, and prices are high compared to elsewhere in BKK. But I guess that's what you get when a hospital gets recognized internationally - prices increase and quality decreases. Exec health screening took 6 hrs, not 3-4. Once again, very said that that's the case. But if you need dental work, definitely go to BIDC.

I've only had good experiences here. It's pricey but you can make actual appointments, for which you are generally seen on time, and the checkout process is efficient. The staff are well-trained and the bureaucratic process is well-refined. Of course, the doctors are top notch. Value added: it's a very nice hospital in aesthetic terms.

this place is like a 5 star hotel rather than a hospital, what amazing staff, service, cleanliness and efficiency.
I had to attend this hospital everyday for a few days to dress my burn wound and it was a pleasure to visit. The day i turned up i had to be registered and they created an ID card which listed any special conditions then i went to see the doctor, an Indian Sikh doctor with perfect English whose bed side manner was great, he inspected me and dressed me and sent me to the pharmacy and nurse to get the necessary injections.
While in the waiting room i noticed people of all different ethnicities that is when it struck me that this place must be famous in the region for medicine.
the cost was minimal for my dressing as well.
dined at the restaurant inside and the food was great, first time i can say that about hospital food.

The hospital itself is amazing. Well organised. Super clean, modern. The Dermatologist I saw was absolutely terrible. After no more than 5 minutes of a really hopeless appointment, she said "anything else??" with a real annoyed look on her face. Worst professional experience ever. Then was charged 1500bhat for the 5 minutes. Frustrating!!

Excellent treatment Overall management is very good. There are some points to improve the patient's life insurance for a rather late 3-5 business days. I need to hasten to pursue. Follow the doctor who owns the case. Do not quote me. BOT does not return And please, the physician of the case to support the patient. To be treated, there must be enough money for treatment, medicine, equipment and medical expenses. Comprehensive insurance coverage and compensation are essential for those in the hospital and for the hospital itself. Somsak Chavavisit Seri presided over the management of the hospital with the help of physicians and administrators to take care of their employees care over the overflow. The performance and reputation of the hospital end. Bumrungrad Hospital successful HUB is a dependence of Thai people and foreigners rely on. And ask shareholders to hold interest forever ...

Japanese doctor also enrolls that there is a reception only for Japanese. Medical facilities surpass superior Japanese hospitals. (Same as university hospital)
There are McDonald's, coffee shop and food court in hospital, and delivery to hospital room is also possible. You can choose Thai, European, Japanese food for hospitalization.
Because all Thailand is not an insurance system, medical costs are high. Therefore, it is essential to use medical insurance .... It is safe if you join traveler insurance.

My mom and I went for the second appointment for rheumatoid arthritis. Got a queue number at the registration counter on 15th floor of BI Clinic building. And so, we waited patiently. And the staff at the desk didn t give us the wristband but slightly almost yelled at us to go have blood test, which we already did on the first appointment - 6 tubes of blood if you ask. We explained to the blood test counter and the blood test counter told us to go to the next counter - the B counter. And the B counter again almost yelled at us to go back to the registration desk.
These staff/nurses are really unkind and impatient unless i m guessing if you speak Thai language. Out of 10 nurses, only 2 is friendly. The others are just plain rude even to patients.
Are their computers not working well? I don t know. It was such an unpleasant experience at THE Bumrungrad Hospital of Thailand.

This is a review that I should have written after August, 2016. That month, while starting to live in Vietnam and away from the comforts of the states, I had 7 seizures within a 45 minute span. I was unconscious and flown to this hospital, where I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Because of American insurance procedures, I had to stay here for over two weeks. Long story short, the staff of the entire hospital treated everyone with professionalism, grace, and dignity. They provided excellent, top-notch care for both myself and my wife, who was going through the real trama of my diagnosis.

I cannot say enough good things about it. Even the food was outstanding. I was eventually flown to a major hospital in the States for surgery (on the request of my family), and it was filfty. Always clean and professional, they actually cared. It's the best hospital I have ever been to.

Staff were courteous, helpful, and kind. Waited less that 30 minutes to see my doctor who was kind and considerate. She was incredibly helpful and sensitive when asking question. I was pleasantly surprised to find out how cheap my prescriptions were compared to the other reviews which suggested otherwise.

The service is good but it so expensive.
Also, it feels like they only car about thing and that is your money. No money no honey as they say. They are very kind and polite but also very greedy in their personality as whole.
Anyway i was been hospitalised nicely but also really bad experience regarding the check out and payment of my insirance. I waited 6 hours on the lobby with my girl. We were so tired and just wanted to sleep. One of the worst experiences in my life.
Thank you anyways for your holy work.

According to the American hospital test, Bumrungrad Hospital is the third best hospital in the world. The prices are correspondingly high - just great! Very good medical care in luxury rooms. This is where actors, presidents and billionaires come. As a private patient, I was well looked after and helped.

I recently had some surgery at this hospital. I also did a comprehensive health check. This is a private hospital with a premium price tag but if you can afford it is worth every satang. The facilities are fabulous, The nurse care is the best in the whole world As far as I have tried them in different countries and I can imagine.

The specialist doctors are extremely experienced and knowledgeable in their field, Take time to explain their assessment and treatment plan.

Compliments to the management

Over the last 8 years our family have used this hospital. 3 operations, the last one cosmetic and with amature results. The decline is obvious over this time. Today at 8.20am we were recommended to see a surgeon for swollen lymph glands on an 8 year old. As I was in another building I told the nurse directly that they were to wait for me before my daughter saw the Doctor. I spoke with her on my husband's phone. I came a mear 6 minutes after my husband called and the surgeon had finished with her. I then went to speak with the surgeon who said she had a infection but could not give more information than that. At no time according to my daughter did he check other areas for lympatic system for swelling including neck and jaw areas. I then asked for a second opinion and waited 3.5 hours to see a doctor at ENT. We spent all of 4 minutes with a doctor who noted infected scratches that I identified in the waiting room on her scalp hence the lymph infection and advised on cream to clear. The nurses station in ENT was pure disarray and completely lacked communication with each other. Oh and of course I paid to see 2 doctors, one a surgeon that should have easily identified what the ENT doctor managed to understand in4 minutes flat after I discovered it in the 3.5 hour wait. Discusting money grabbing service at its best.

I show up at this facility quite a few times on every visit to the county.
I consider it as a 4+ star hotel, rather than a hospital.
Well organized staff, luxury furniture and clean areas. Most doctors are very keen to listen to our stories and are very helpful.
The only downside from my perspective, is that the treatment and medicines get dearer and dearer each time, that may make people switch to other less expensive hospitals.

My consultation with an eye specialist at Bumrungrad , was probably the most unpleasant and non-conducive physician encounter I ever had. He did not listen, did not probe and did not give conclusions ! It took two post consultation e mails to get a (wrong) prescription!!! . He seemed overworked and underqualified ( a 1967 Mihadon first degree and a 1975 diploma!)
Bumrungrad hype relates to infrastructure , the rest is hoax!!! Expensive hoax!!!

I will be kept waiting for several hours when I leave the hospital. Is the accounting staff weak?
The waiting time of the old building elevator is long.
Meals are the worst. I can not think of hospital food and saltiness. The hospital is surrounded by Arab Indian restaurants and it is hard for sick people.
The medical level is high.

A lot of waiting, like a nice airport lounge. Doctor consultation lasted 45 seconds, gave me no chance to ask questions or for explanation, have to use Dr Google now. Ultrasound technician was thorough though.
They forgot to give me medical certificate which i need for insurance, when i asked before paying they sent me back to registration desk to fill out a request form for it. They told me it would arrive in afternoon via email, but it has been 1 day now, has not arrived. I would probably go to bangkok christian hospital instead, it is less busy and have received more thorough consultations.

If this review were only one word, that word would be outstanding. On my first trip to Thailand in 2008 I had my hip replaced @ Bumrungrad Intl. by Assoc. Prof Dr Areesak Chotivichit. I arrived from the U.S. alone, and unsure of what to expect. When I arrived at B.I.H. I was greeted by English speaking host, and escorted to my destination for pre-admission registration, where my photo was taken, and it appears on all forms so confusion is avoided and identity and procedures are synched. The facility was impressive and the professionalism of the staff put me at ease immediately. I had several pre and post surgical appointments and every time everything was handled quickly, and very efficiently. I spent 5 nights in hospital. I found the nursing staff to be commendable, the food delicious, and the experience life changing. I highly recommend Bumrungrad International. 11 years later the hip is doing fine.

One of the most luxurious hospitals in Bangkok. Sometimes it seems as if they are a hotel. The service is excellent but they charge a high premium for it. There are visa services and excellent dining options. The atmosphere and ambience is soothing. The patient care is great. Some doctors are great while others are a subpar.

A luxury hospital run by a corporation. It was available cashlessly with overseas insurance. There is always an interpreter available, so you can go anywhere in English or Thai. I used it for a sudden illness, but was able to be examined immediately without waiting. A food court is available during the daytime, and you can eat Thai food far from hospital food. It's strange to go ill, but I think it's the most luxurious place.

We have had a very good experience in this hospital.

My wife could not breathe because of a cold. They were treated here without waiting. After half an hour, she was restored to the point where we could leave the hospital.

Remarkably friendly and courteous staff, competent doctor.

Price for Thailand a little expensive, for German conditions cheap / adequate.

it was always a good place. i had some treatments in the past.
since 2 months i try to get an appointment but it is really impossible!
they answer my email after days and if i ask for a appointment....nothing!
then they appologize in a email days later and they ask in which way they can help me and i did ask again for an appointment.....nothing again! i start thinking they like to make bad jokes on their patients!
so right now the bumrungrad hospital is useless to me.
add on : finally i got my appointment.
the offer for asked treatment was highly overpriced. i can do this for half price in switzerland.!!. so i canceled the whole thing.
anyway - they asked for 1600 baht - to see the doctor less then 5 minutes!!!!
so i asked for the supervisor and after a short discuss i had to pay 1000 baht doctor fee.
like the US people say...thank's for nothing!

I had spinal surgery there in 2005 and it was the smartest decision of my life. Think I am the only one with absolutely no pain after 12 years. Dr Nanthedej is my hero. Even though I am on medicare, I will go back there or to Samitivej hospital for anything serious. Too dangerous here in the states with out of control Staph infection rates.

This hospital is the best and probably the most expensive hospital in Thailand, but my estimated 70 K surgery here in the states with non private room, 29% staph infection rate, misdiagnosed procedure was $4700.00 at Bumrungrad with a 5 day private room stay and your biggest worry was whether you want Lobster Salad or thinly sliced Tuna in red wine sauce for lunch. Best of all, I am 100% pain free after 12 years!

Is a hospital that plows money, people who raise the world or raise symptoms because they like to give the wrong medicine or that they do not inform the patient Symptoms that are important to life But reasoning that the patient is afraid The size of the doctor there is also recommended to complain because The doctor said that the hospital system still gave the wrong doctor. The doctor informed that if anyone complained to The management has the right to be fired immediately.

In conclusion, can say that this hospital Is a 100% real money transfer machine that is not slick at all because as you said Give the wrong medicine, forget to plug the needle Did not tell you about the important symptoms of my father's life Causing the need to enter the ICU to enter and exit regularly Because the reason he is afraid
