Elevate Staffing Review

I've been working for Elevate for the past 2 years and they have been awesome! The jobs are fun, and the staff are communicative and kind!

I do not recommend working for them. First time I got booked for a gig they bailed on me a few days prior the job claiming the client changed her mind and decided to go with males only. That was after I had gotten a confirmation email and blocked out the dates and turned down other gigs. Spoke volumes to their communication. That was the first red flag. I decided to give them another chance cause things happen, right? Second time I actually got to work one day. It was all good until the end of the event when it turned out the return label was missing, it wasn t where it was supposed to be and therefore me and a friend of mine I was working with couldn t drop it off as instructed. What s more the on-site contact (the client) didn t even know we were working for Elevate and thought we were directly with the company we were representing. And I can assure you she wasn t happy about that. So Elevate either didn t want to or simply failed to inform them about that. Long story short I was scheduled to work two other days for the same client and I found out I wasn t the late afternoon prior my second scheduled day. If I hadn t reached out I wouldn t even have known until the day off. They claimed the staffing requirements changed and I wasn t meeting them anymore. They never clarified what those were. And that was again after having received confirmation email for all those scheduled days and after having turned down other gigs. I had booked another gig with them, which at that point after all that drama I knew I didn t want to work and was going to cancel. Turned out I didn t even have to as I got deleted for that one as well, without even informing me about it. That s all to say that Elevate s performance as a staffing agency was very poor from my experience. If I was to say in a nutshell why I don t recommend working for them it would be two things, extremely unprofessional and too much drama. There s a lot of great and reliable agencies out there worth working for and with and Elevate is def not one of them.

Still waiting to be paid then have to fight about dates i worked. The person booked me no longer work's there and the payroll manager LEAH G hung up in my face to start her weekend last thursday. Ca labor board claim has been initiated. How sad and fustrating. No pay thru holidays and NO ONE CARES OR IS CAPABLE. ITS ON NOW

I have worked with Elevate Staffing coming up on three years now and I must say that is has been a productive relationship that I'm glad to say will continue for many to come!

They keep open communication, timely payment processing , and great clients. They put their focus with the clients needs, and it shows with the quality staff they hire.

10/10 would recommend to anyone (potential client and staff alike)

Love working for this company - they care about their talent and work for some really great clients. Worked for them for over 2 years and had a great experience every time.

Would not advise booking with this company. I was booked a 1 1/2 weeks out for an event. Submitted all paper work, set up profile and was told I would be contacted the next week on details. I tried multiple times to get in touch with Ryan Speer, the account manager that booked me. The event was on Sunday and I had been trying to get in touch with Ryan since Wednesday to no avail. I emailed and left voicemails. This is absolutely unacceptable as I passed by many opportunities along the way. In my 4 plus years of working events I've never had this happen to me. Zero response back, just shows you how they view the people that work for them. Highly disappointed.

This company is in the middle. They have been around for some years, but could use some fixing up, in there commutation as well as they re payroll systems. I work for them three years ago, and than two months ago. They changed there payroll. Long story short, took them a week 1/2 to send a link to fill out payroll sign up. Was told I was going to get paid on the 26, and had to call and email them, as the lady forgot the day she was suppose to pay me. They also ended up getting rid of a lot of BA s for the CES in Vegas. Many BA s are not to fund of them at the moment. They are not terrible but need to tighten up on a few things

This company is unorganized and lacks good communication. Also giving me the run around about pay.

Pretty solid. Always pay on time, provide all the info needed for the activations ahead of time, and seem to keep good relationships with the clients and client contacts. Quite happy with them so far:)

Elevate has been a great staffing agency to work with, I have been staffed on some amazing events and have always found the interactions with the team to be professional, informative and timely. Looking forward to working with them again.

Update: A staff member that I am very familiar with reached out to me and we discussed my concern. The company did what they could to rectify the situation and assured me that if I had any other problems that he would welcome feedback given. The particular staff member has always been easy to get a hold of and I am glad that he reached out and cleared up the miscommunication that was had.

They don't care about anyone but themselves and it's a true shame seeing as I am a consistent and dedicated worker. But it's a business and you don't really matter at all. Especially if they mess something up, be sure that they won't tell you. They won't take the L for their own screw ups. Terrible ethics.

I was hired by elevate to be a brand ambassador and I must say it was such a delight. The process was simple, the team was very welcoming and I had a blast. Thank You Elevate Staffing for such a wonderful experience & cheers to many more.

They will not pay me for work completed on August 13th it was a street event where we walked all day to sign up customers. I have contacted payroll and they laughed rudely at my concerns. I have emailed with Dana from payroll and all she can tell me is that the check was never sent with promises to contact me which never happens. I have messaged on Facebook and all I receive is the run a round and now they are just out and out ignoring me . I have worked for many companies and have never seen one as incompetent as this is run . Please do not take a job with them there are many other reputable companies to work for .

Elevate is one of the only staffing agencies I am willing to do continuous work with. I have been with them now for 4 very exciting years. I started out as a BA like most people do in the industry and as time went on the trusted me enough to become a TL. I made some mistakes along the way but they never gave up on me and continued to give me chances to make a living and to grow. No agency is perfect, Elevate included, but they have made apparent efforts to better themselves as far a payroll, communication, and job listings go. They care about their staff and their client relations the same. A couple years ago I was accepted into their ODST program where they are kind enough to provide us with flights, hotels, Uber rides, lunch and dinner, and a great team to work with. You cant say that about most agencies out there. They pay in two weeks, where most agencies take 30-60, even 9o, days to pay. They continue to recruit top level staffers to work in office, always improving communications between the staff in the field and the guys in the office. They have been one of the biggest blessings for me working in this industry thus far. They have become like family over the years and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Elevate!

Heeeyyyy Elevate! I give elevate 5 stars because personally have always had great experiences working with them. From high profile conferences for Investors, to NYFW events with huge brands like MAYBELLINE, I've always had a good time! Not to mention I love writing about myself in third person during the hiring process for campaigns lol You know when you're on an Elevate team if ambassadors... THE BEST

DO NOT RECOMMEND HIRING THROUGH OR WORKING FOR THIS STAFFING AGENCY...

Elevate managers would consistently contact me (and others) within 48 hours of a 3 - 5 hour event. If their client had an issue with something instead of addressing it on site or post event they would not inform you until they wanted to re hire you for an event (even if the supposed issue was not accurate).

One event I ended up having teeth extracted unexpectedly and unfortunately could not make the 3 hour event. The hiring manager berated and verbally abused me trying to pressure me into feeling guilty to show up regardless of my physical appearance.

Fast forward 2+ months I had a government office call Elevate to verify my shifts & wages, Elevate claimed that I was currently employed even though I was a contractor who only worked 2 shifts during 9 months totaling roughly 8 paid hours. When I sent a government form for Elevate to fill out they stated I worked the date I missed proceeding to black-male me to reimburse the wages that I never received before they would accurately fill out the form. At this point I contacted the Vice President who seemingly had no issue with this. I informed him that I had not received the wages and the VP stopped responding. Currently have had many responses and not received a filled form let alone correctly filled form.

Overall 90% of my onsite jobs where FUN, the management structure of Elevate is where my issue resides.

I love working for this company. They are kind and fair and really care about doing a good job. I've worked with them for years and there are always opportunities to advance. Any negative reviews are very likely from people who didn't meet elevates standards of workers and were bitter about it. They are by far one of the best agencies to work for. :)

I've worked with Elevate Staffing now for almost 5 years (mostly on their Oculus program) and while things were a little rocky at the beginning with payroll, they have improved dramatically and are on the ball with communicating info regarding present or future events that I am working on their behalf.

In addition, they have provided me some amazing once in a lifetime opportunities where I have had the chance to travel around the world. I was blessed to go on a month long tour for their Oculus program across Asia: Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and China. It's also allowed me the ability to get 10 YR China Business visa and now can stay for 3 months consecutively at a time. Tell me what other staffing company affords you these kind of opportunities; I'd wager that few if any do.

They also have some stellar staff on their team, especially on the Oculus side, namely Kim and Jerryn. I've worked with Jerryn for the past two years, and there is no one who will go to bat for you near as much as him as well as to give you constructive feedback on events. This is extremely helpful as it's easy to say job well done but another to show you how you can excel further and continue with self-empowerment to make you more confident in all areas of your life. He's also excellent with communicating to staff about the exact needs & what is expected of them so that there isn't any surprises down the road or after the event in regards to your evaluation.

So moral of the story: If you are looking for a great staffing company with plenty of upside potential and willing to put in hard work, be responsible, and be ready to show up (Always 15 min early, it get's noticed; trust me!); then Elevate Staffing is the perfect place for you!

Working with Elevate is truly a pleasure. As a brand ambassador or experience guide, I get the opportunity to work with many creative and unique companies to provide a worthwhile experience for the attendees. I highly recommend them both to work for, and to companies as an option to hire. They always bring caring, reliable and hard working staff to the table.
