Fantastic brewery with lots of beers. Small kitchen serving snacks (had grilled sausage and smoked sausage). Had the Columbia beer - delicious. Friendly staff too. Watch out for drunk Americans who like to jump the queues (lines)!!

It's a bit touristy -- you're drinking under a windwind. If that appeals to you, you're going to love this place. Once that excitment wears off the beers are average to good. The food is limited to snacks, which I did not taste. The bar was packed and I had to push my way through a few times.

there is 1 beer can on the table that is not ours (they have cameras) makes that arrogant bartender difficult "we are not already involved in bachelor parties" but hoppa accepting 300 for what drinks are hypocritical leather cousin. what should have been a pleasant afternoon is ended prematurely "OPROTTEN or I'll call the police".

Amazing draft beer selection. But the people working there were a bit annoying. I asked if they had any sours and the dude acted like I was asking for a Shirley temple. But I enjoyed my time there and would recommend!

Used to be a cool wee hole in the wall but is now expanded and seems to be a bit of a destination for tourists.
No hot food, but they do decent bar snacks.
Be warned - the beers are very strong.

Brewery 'T IJ brews highly regarded beers nationally and internationally. However, I am not a fan of drinking it on the terrace on the spot. It is a true tourist hotspot. It is better to just stock up on a beer and eat your bottle of beer at home on the couch.

Brouwerij t IJ is a very unique brewery, and a must-visit while in Amsterdam. I mean, a brewery + windmill within the city? We traveled via a short tram ride, but I would imagine it would be easy to get there by bike as well. Sadly, we only stayed for a beer each, as it was insanely crowded and difficult to get to the bar, much less even think about finding somewhere to sit. We made the mistake of going on a Saturday late afternoon; I would highly recommend trying a weekday shortly after they open for the day. Our visit was pretty disappointing, although I guess now we can say we ve been there.

We tried the Columbus Amber and the Tripel. The beers were both nice and clean, although comparable to plenty of other beers we tried on our trip. The food is allegedly good, but we couldn t even see the counter to order some snacks, much less be able to get to it to order. Apparently, they also have some fun swag, but again, we could barely even get in the door to order a beer.

If we returned to Amsterdam, I would come back early on a weekday, as I am a little sad we didn t get to experience much here. We even tried to go to the brew pub next door afterwards, but they were also pretty full, so we ended up just leaving and going to Brouwerij Homeland, which is within walking distance, has great beers, and serves a full menu of food.

As a good Italian I should say that it is a 4 because there was nothing "panoso" and indispensable to accompany not only beer, but hard-boiled egg (as promised, perfectly cooked!) And dry sausage and hectograms of cheese ... especially because the pub is in a mill where it was baking!
But the place is too Dutch, nice, full of local & global people, cheerful staff, excellent cutting boards and very good beer at more than fair prices (I would say perfect), not to give my best;)

Good selection of beers. Big place with inside and outside seating (beer garden style) and a beautiful windmill as part of the premises. Design seems to be meant for fitting as many people as possible and not much else. Even when busy you can always find a seat or five.

Get there early! We got there right when they opened and luckily snagged a couple of spots at the bar because it was jam-packed immediately. It was easy to see why once we tried a flight of their beers; there are a ton of options and all delicious. The food from the walk-up window is also really good. We split some cheese and sausages and enjoyed everything. The location next to an old windmill is also awesome, definitely picturesque. Highly recommend!
