SJ and the team went above and beyond to find me a used car within my budget and needs. It's a perfect fit. Examples of above and beyond: I was picked up from my home and taken to the dealership and when my phone died, an employee loaned me her personal phone charger. I'm a life-long customer.

My service adviser Summer was great! So friendly and well knowledgeable about the product! I will definitely be back to service my car next time around.
What's going on over there Toyota?? I don't know what is wrong with their service department. I called yesterday to make an appointment and get a quote for maintenance service. The young man answering said he would have someone call me with a quote (he could only schedule the appointment). I never received a call back. I called again at the end of the day and no one would answer the service department even when switched by the operator. Today I called three more times and the same thing. I guess they don't need the work? Too bad. They are right down the street from me and this is regularly scheduled maintenance, 90K and 100K. Now I have to drive across town to go to a different dealership to have the work done. I don't get it! We almost bought a new car there a couple weeks ago. So glad we didn't!
Erik Duncan was my sales associate and I was very pleased with him and Broadway Toyota. He listened to me and didn't try to pressure me to make any decisions before I was ready.
This is my fifth time to the dealership and every service experience has been exemplary. The work appears to be down correctly and properly at all service personnel are friendly and professional. And I always get a car wash coupon. They have no problem allowing me to park the car overnight in the parking lot if for whatever reason I can t pick up the car the same day it is done.( at my own insurance risk as you expect ) I would highly recommend Toyota of Portland.
Le Song Champion was the sales consultant for my boyfriend and I, and he was great! We told him exactly what we wanted when it came to cost of the vehicle and a monthly price range, and he truly made it happen for us. We are so happy!!
Wonderful experience, great service! Everyone there was very straightforward and honest. Sometimes you feel like you are getting the wool pulled over your eyes at these places but not here!
Horrible experience! Buy anywhere else! I had see a car I liked online and went with my husband and 2 small children to buy it. The sales man gave us a price + $4,000 more than what was written online. It took him an hour to fill out all of the paper work and when he was finally done (even though my husband and I had shown him our out of state liscences 5 mins into the sale) a man came along and told us that it's their policy is not to sell to out of state residents. We explained that we had moved to Portland a month ago and that the DMV is backed up but that we could present proof of residency in Oregon - but he stood his ground and wouldn't let us buy the car. Basically we waited for an hour with 2 small screaming children to be told that we can't buy a car, not because we didn't have enough money or because we had bad credit but simply because the DMV doesn't work fast enough. Never going there again!!! Too bad...
Buying was pretty easy. However, Address was wrong on all my paperwork. Was called many time to come back. I made it back and signed it all two days later. Then got many more calls they were missing a signature, I said I would come back in 30 mins which took me longer because I was at work, int that time I was called many more times, had to return in the same day. There lack of checks and balances on them was my inconvenience to the tune of many calls and several trips back.
If we could give this dealership a zero, we would. While our salesman was really nice and helpful, the whole experience we had with the rest of the dealership was less than desirable. We went in with one certain vehicle in mind and a loan already approved through our credit union. The car we wanted was under our loan amount but with taxes, licensing and various fees, it would've gone over our limit. We called 1st since we're over an hr away to let them know our situation and they promised they could make it work for us if we came down. So we did. Test drove it, loved it, and wanted to see what we could do to go ahead with the purchase. We let them know again what our loan limit was and they guaranteed they could make it work. After almost 2 hrs (despite the fact that they guarantee from test drive to leaving the lot with your new car takes less than 85 mins) they finally came back with our paperwork and said we were set, even though the total amount was almost 4k over our limit. We asked how they were able to get us approved for more and they assured us their finance guys were really good at their jobs and know how to get things done. We thought, sweet and left with our new car! Yeah. not so sweet. We get a phone call 5 days later that there is a problem with our financing. Come to find out our bank didn't budge and wouldn't approve the higher loan price. So then they proceed to run our credit half a dozen times each over the next wk, trying to find us other financing, but nothing could touch what our own CU was willing to do. They wanted us to agree to payments $200 more than what we would've paid through our CU with an APR more than triple what our CU offered. If we would have agreed we would've ended up paying roughly double what the car was worth. So, 2 wks to the day, we went car shopping at another lot, found the exact same car we wanted (except in a different color), and they were able to make it work within our CU's financing. New car, payments we wanted/expected and out the door in less than 2 hrs. After leaving the 2nd dealership, we drove the original car straight back to ToP to give it back. They attempted to get us to try and work with them and their offer, but we told them we already had our new car sitting in their parking lot waiting to drive back home in it. Word to the wise; if they make promises and "guarantees" that sound too good to be true, they probably are and chances are you won't end up with what you want.
Super frustrated after a great buying experience. My wife and I purchased a used vehicle over a month ago and the customer experience has been horrible after leaving the lot. First we were told out plates were going to be mailed ti us, not true. After our temp expired they promised to "overnight" a new one, literally three times I was told this. It never happened, so we ended up driving around with expired plates for a week. Arturo (sp?) never responded to my last inquiry about the plates. Then, three weeks later I received a call from the WDOL saying my plates were ready to come pick up. AND THEN, let's talk about my trade in. Over a MONTH later they still have not paid off my trade and I was stuck with TWO car payments this month, one for the new car and one from the car I traded in. AGAIN I was told they were going to look into this and get back to me, and again there was no follow through. I have three kids 2 and under and work full time, I do not have time to keep calling back for follow through. This has been the most ridiculous ordeal... to top it off I STILL have not heard back from anyone and my car is still not paid off... I would proceed with caution buying a car here. I know I will not be going back to them
Andrew was great! My only regret was he was tied up with another client when I picked up the car and I couldn't thank him personally. Broadway Toyota is wonderful to deal with.
I take my car to get serviced here. Everyone is always friendly and knowledgeable, and I always have a good experience. They ve streamlined their workflow during the pandemic, and I was in and out very quickly.
Literally one of the fastest and easier places to buy a car, they sit down and really work with you to try and get you the car and payments that want, definitely 5 stars!
Check-in was normal. Time given for maintenance work given as an hour plus. After an hour plus I checked on the timing with my appointed service representative. I was informed it would be another 45 minutes before completion of the work. All told, I was in Broadway Toyota Service Department approximately for almost 4-hours. That would have been acceptable had I been informed initially, or kept informed during the work. Unfortunately, this was not the case ! I normally have excellent work and service at Broadway Toyota, however, this experience has caused some question. TL
Very happy with my experience. Quick easy and painless. Daniel help me with my purchase of a 2008 Subaru that was traded in. He was professional, easy to work with and straight forward. I would recommend Danial and Toyota of Portland to anyone buying a new a Toyota or looking for a used car like I was.
The folks really cared and worked hard to get me the best deal. Everyone seemed like one big happy family there. I brought a friend with me and she was most impressed, she will be now doing business with Broadway. Rich, the young man that worked with us was really wonderful at making us feel at home.. Josh the finance manager filled us in on some things to save me money and Linda Meyer the customer service manager was also great. At all times I was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy.
I was treated like an individual, staff was very friendly helpful and professional. I felt confident that my vehicle was in good hands. I plan to continue to bring my car here to be serviced.
Super nice and friendly people, the receptionist is very attentive and make you feel like you have to offer is "no problem" great place, will recommend if i have the chance.
Every time I have taken my car into Broadway Toyota either for a oil change or to get a new battery, they are so helpful. Great customer service and always friendly. I purchased my Prius here a few years ago and would recommend broadway Toyota to everyone I know.
Service goes above and beyond in addressing my concerns. Advisor, Andrew B. is always great to work with. Husband came in a purchased a 2021 Tacoma. Sales, Thai N. was informative. Addressing all questions and concerns. Located the perfect vehicle. We were in and out of the Dealership in under 2 hours.
If I'm spending $50,000 why can't I get what I want? Salesman made promises service dept didn't deliver, snuck in extras we never talked about and then just shrugged their shoulders like it was my problem now?
UPDATE: service seems to be willing to back their original commitment so their might be a happy ending here. I will update.
Final Edit: Service helped me get what I wanted in the end. Thanks Jeff and his team for getting it done.
My original experience with this Toyota dealership was okay, not exceptional. But in October of 2016 I had bought a new toyota Tacoma and rolled over a partial balance to turn in my other leased vehicle early. They had told us that the disposition fee was going to be taken care of and everything was good to go. Well about 6 months later I got a notice from toyota financial saying the $350 disposition fee was due asap or it was going to collections. I called the regional manager who again assured me that he'd take care of everything. A few months later I got a notice saying the disposition fee had gone to collections. From there Toyota financial was unable to change or undo it it going to collection. I again called the dealership and AGAIN the manager said he would take care of it and give me a call as soon as he figured out what was going. And no phone call was ever received. I ended up paying the fee. And then I took my business else where and refinanced my vehicle with someone else because they are not reliable. On top of everything, they also supposively send us gift cards for a restaurant to make up for everything and for our original Facebook review, we had never received them... I will not be back to this location again. And I renew a lease vehicle every 3 years. Guess ill have to go with Subaru.
About a month ago, I made an appointment to get my car serviced today at 1:00pm. I arrived at 12:45pm and was told that I would have to wait 2-2.5 hours before my car was even STARTED on because of how many walk-ins there were. I see that this has happened to other reviewers here and, although I appreciate management responding to their reviews stating they d look into this issue further, obviously nothing has changed. I feel absolutely disrespected as a customer, and I see no reason to ever bring my car to this dealership again, even though I purchased it here. To the dealership: if you allow appointments, make sure to have a bay available for that appointment and have a walk-in waitlist in case that appointment doesn t show. Making people with appointments wait for hours so others without appointments can be seen is insulting and absurd. Otherwise, just tell people that you don t accept appointments at all. That way your customers, many of whom have jobs and don t have all day to wait around (thus why they make appointments in the first place), don t feel like they and their time has no worth whatsoever.
I had an excellent experience with Kazahm, he was very helpful with finding me the right car within my budget and then was available to help me with any problems I had after the purchase as well!
Have leased two vehicles from Toyota of Portland and worked specifically with Ken Scott (who is awesome btw). Ken is fun to work with, relatable, and a man of his word. See you in three years
Ian did a great job of explaining what was needed on my car and getting it done! He was also very helpful with making sure I understood pricing and what my options were.
This is my favorite Toyota store in the metro area. I have relied on them to service my car. Huge service department allows them to be flexible when and how quickly they can get you in. The employees are great and quite friendly.
Would like thank Ian Cour for excellent customer service! He was very attentive. And also to Dee Williams for getting us in and out rather quickly. We will definitely be back for future purchases.
From the time I walked in the door I was treated fairly with respect. I worked with Stacey who is patient and knowledgeable. From sales through financing they did not disappoint. I feel I was treated well and fairly. This dealership is light years ahead of many in the PDX area. Thanks ToP!!!
I purchased my vehicle with them earlier this year. I called ahead to see what offers were available. I was advised 0% interest for 60 months. I drove from Albany up to Portland after work to finish the transaction. After sitting down and talking with the sales representative, I mentioned the offer and he advised that wasn't for the 2016 model. Doing the math, I'd pay about $1500 in interest. I was not pleased at all. I told the person on the phone I was getting the 2016 model.
Naturally, they could not adjust the rate for me. I was trading my 2010 Prius that same evening, and the manager on duty couldn't budge $100 or $200 from the trade in price. Just left a sour taste in my mouth.
Then they have a pushy guy from All State greet you to try to change insurance providers. Um, no thanks.
The person who did the main bulk of paperwork (gap, etc) was bland and didn't smile or make any conversation with me.
I decided to write this review because the All State rep just contacted me today by phone 6 months later to ask again about changing!! I told him to take me off of his list. His "friendliness" turned into him wanting to get off the phone and he was done talking to me. Wow.
The only person who was good was the salesman that I was with for the majority of the time. Nice guy.
Ben Norman in the Service Department is incredible. I just dropped my car off for maintenance, and even with my husband there, Ben looked at me in the eye, and talked directly to me about my car THE ENTIRE TIME. Ladies? You know how rare this is in auto body shops. For me? At 35 years old, this is the first time I've been treated like I wasn't invincible and like I'm, I dunno, a human being that's alive on this planet. On top of that, he really took his time explaining everything that needed to be done, was fast, super friendly, and basically, he's my new BFF as far as I'm concerned. (And yes, I told him all of this before I left this morning because frankly, he and other men need to know what we deal with for having lady parts.) Yay for Ben!
I had a pretty good experience with a salesman named Ramon Diriyenko. He was not that pushy salesman like you find at most dealerships. He was very relaxed and easy to talk to.
Due to COVID-19, we were looking online for a car. We gave Toyota of Portland a call and made an appointment to see a 2018 Kia Sorento. He was very helpful on answering any questions we had regarding the Carfax. He didn t know if he had it in stock so he took our number and called us back within 20 minutes. He had it in stock. We made the appointment to see it.
He had the car pulled up to the building for us to look at before we even arrived. Roman was not pushy at all with selling points. We took it for a test drive (I thought it was weird that we didn t have the salesman with us for the test drive due to COVID-19.... which they have a special anti theft item attached to the car so can t steal it when test driving). When we got back from the test drive, he still was not pushy like most salesman are.
I only had two complains. The first (I know it s not his fault) complaint is that it is stupid to run a credit report even though you are purchasing with cash. The second is that Roman put our trip permit upside down in the back window (I m afraid that I might get pulled over for that).
Overall I am really happy with our purchase and I really appreciate the the lack of being pushy to sell the car (yes we bought the car).
Toyota of Portland was very attentive to what we were looking for and, not having the vehicle themselves, found and arranged a swap with another area Toyota dealer who did and, by the middle of the following day, we had the car, at an acceptable price. A positive experience!
They took less than three hours to do a multi point inspection, check fluid levels, check the tires. We got a complimentary car wash. Toyota of Portland also paid for Uber to shuttle us both ways.
ONE fact thing i know breadway toyota compaine with good sales men like sayeed houssain means satisfaction to all partteis , on december 2010 i bought corola for my so ,asyeed gave me suporior service . then again decmber 2011 he gave me the same exact wondorful service ,when i bought 2012 4wd highlander for my wife ,by the end of 2012 my plan to by truck for my self. am confidant ,that sayeed will continue to do exl service. thanks to sayeed and broadway TOYOTA
I ve had issues with Toyota of Portland a few times. Most recently though, I took my car in for simple maintenance (which went fine) but I also added getting my car detailed. I dropped my car off little before 10AM and picked her up at about 5:30PM the same day. Upon getting into my car it was exactly the same as when I dropped it off that morning... Nothing was picked up, trash still all over the place and seats still had stains on them. Prior to getting into my car, the lady that was helping me that day said Hey your seats might be a little wet from cleaning. So I was thrown off when the seats hadn t even been touched. Upside to it all was the gal that helped was apologetic and offered for me to come back another day. Being that I set time aside for today they happily gave a refund instead. Just annoying that a simple job couldn t get done and how that wasn t communicated to the gal that helped me since she thought it had been cleaned. I ll just stick to simple maintenance since it free if I go to Toyota and take my car other places for anything I ll have to pay out of pocket for.
I just purchased a brand new Prius at Toyota of Portland. Rich Sickler, the salesperson and Linda Meyer, the customer service manager were extremely helpful. The customer service was excellent and I love my new car!
I purchased their extended warranty, and paid quite a bit of money for it. I was told that it would cover all issues for 7 years within the engine and drivetrain. I am having issues with my clutch after 6 years and less than 50k miles. Toyota is calling their faulty equipment "wear and tear". I am disgusted with this business practice and am going to warn anybody I see of this shady practice they just kind of shrug at...Shame on you Toyota. Your word means nothing.
Excellent experience. Nickole Krier was very pleasant to deal with and extremely helpful . Hope she is still with Toyota on Broadway when I need the next service.
I recently had work done at this location and the whole transaction was as smooth as could be. Dennis was a pro and fun to talk to.They provided me with complimentary Lyfts while they fixed my car.
Michael was very kind and professional. They committed to a special deal over email and text to earn my business. I showed up to purchase the vehicle and they stayed true to their word. Much better experience than the one we had at another local Toyota dealership.
Brought my Toyota Camry in for maintenance service during Portland Toyota's "Happy Hour Special". Could not have been happier with their care for my car and the responsiveness to my questions and concerns. Summer, the Toyota Rep. who assisted me gave me a heads up about some upcoming maintenance itemp including tire wear which is ver important to me. A great experience all around. Thanks Toyota!
The service is overall very good at Toyota. What I don t like is their customer service. They don t greet you as you arrive. All the employees look away and don t say anything unless you say something to them and then they are reluctant to do anything for you. It happens every time I take my car in for service. I wish they could work on how they treat their customers.
Took my Tacoma for 55,000 mile maintenance. Made an advance appointment.... still had to wait and wait for a service rep to help me. He apologized for the wait. I would understand more but I had an appointment. I got great service once I got any service. Other suggestion is to make it abundantly clear the process of picking up your vehicle. Sometimes it's "see the service manager", sometimes it's "see the cashier first"... never seems to be any clear direction. Other than that, love my Tacoma and want to keep it running in top shape.
Love my new Rav4 and Amy Wilkerson was awesome. Knowledgeable and honest, I truly felt well cared for. Dave in Finance made the process simple and clearly guided me to make the best choices. Thank you Toyota of Portland. Quality team! Arthur
I had a very good experience. The service took a little longer than expected because they were short handed that day but I was pleasantly surprised when they Ubered me home and back at their expense. My service member was very responsive, professional and polite.
I appreciated the appointment to view and test drive the vehicle. Everything was a "low key, low pressure" approach, which is what I was looking for. Thanks to Roman for setting everything up, communicating with me and making the process easy.
I submitted an online quote request to a bunch of Toyota dealerships in Portland. Toyota of Portland was the first company to call me back. The online sales rep Anthony, was exceptional. I wound up buying a car that day because of his level of expertise service and the attention that he paid to me as a consumer. It was a great buying experience! I encourage anybody who's looking for a Toyota to go to Toyota in Portland.
I inquired with this dealership about a vehicle I wanted (a 2020 Prius Prime), and they were very helpful about finding me one. They told me they could have the one I wanted on the lot the next day, so I drove down from Seattle to pick it up. I confirmed with them that day (around 1pm) before driving down to confirm that the car would be there. I arrived in Portland around 4pm, and was done signing the paperwork by 6:15pm, much longer than their "80 minute promise." No car. I had to wait around for another hour and a half because the car *still* wasn't on the lot. Supposedly some kind of miscommunication between the dealerships, but seriously -- I drove down three hours, and then sat in the dealership for another two doing paperwork. Seems like that would be long enough to make sure that everything was happening as planned, or to make alternate plans before I was actually done signing everything. I finally got out the door around 8pm, and figured that was that. No more hassle.
Fast forward three weeks, and no license plates have arrived, and my temporary plate is about to expire. I called the DMV and they'd just received it (two days before the expiration date.) I spent about four hours trying to get ahold of my sales person at the dealership and finally called the manager. I got put on hold a bunch more, and got sent to voicemail several times. When I finally talked with someone they were all excuses about why the paperwork had taken so long. Then they called me back and assured me I'd have the plates by Friday night, the night the plates would expire. They sent me a FedEx tracking code, but when it finally went active, nope -- won't be delivered until Monday. The dealership has assured me that if I get a ticket before my plates arrive they'll cover it for me, but seriously? I feel like I should send them a bill for the 5 hours of my time I won't get back for trying to deal with all the hassle; not to mention the extra 2 hours I spent at the dealership waiting for the car to arrive.
It seems to me like this dealership is happy to get you in the door, but not very interested in putting much energy into creating a good customer experience once you're hooked in. That probably means they aren't any different than any other dealership, but I had higher expectations based on the other Google reviews.
I went in to buy a new car. They kept passing me around and being sneaky. I left their dealership. They kept calling me and leaving a message about a deal they will give me. When I call, no deals they keep just playing me and no deal. They asked to come in for the deal I want, and when I went in, no deal. They told me they will match any price for similar highlander, when I called them about the deal I found with Gladstone Toyota for exact suv with exact options, they kept running me around and at the end one of them his name Latif said no. Be careful and my advice stay away
Definitely a great experience. Daniel's patience, and assistance with test driving put us both at ease, and allowed us to know 100% what we wanted. So before I drove away in my new 4Runner, I HAD to give it my best "Toyota Jump"! We are so happy. Thank you! -Heather Robinson
