Fish tacos were awesome, and how can you beat the view. Coconut shrimp was very good as well.

staff was rude, over an hour wait for food after being seated with a reservation. food was moderately good. this restaurant is overrated

I would skip the tempura roll. It was flavorless. The poke tacos were good, though.

Yummy drinks (Mai tai!), Great waffle fries (with garlic!), And my lemon crusted ahi salad was really good...very tender seafood. With great views as well, this is a perfect spot for food if you're in the area.

Loads of fun, happy hour lasts a little longer than posted. Food was very good. Staff very nice!

All the pros - awesome service, great view, also felt very clean and safe in terms of Covid precautions.
One con - all the food was great, but my seared ahi was fishy tasting. Strange because my father had ahi sashimi and it was super fresh and delicious. Maybe I just had a bad batch. That's the only reason I took a star off.

First off want to comment on the staff there.......they are all super nice friendly people! Keep up the good work.
It's the management there that needs improving. We encountered Joe who was horrible. My wife, young son and I were enjoying a nice meal, (and not a cheap one at that. Halfway thru my meal I found a hair which clearly didn't belong to any of us and was stuck in my food. We were at first offered another meal which took forever to get done. Before it came to us we asked for it to be put in a to go bag because we had been there so long. Once it was done it was brought to me along with the bill. I noticed nothing was said or done about any compensation for their mistake. Joe the manager came over and when asked where any compensation was he said he was comping me the meal with the hair.............I didn't have to pay for that one but had to pay full price for the new one I had to take home in a bag. HELLLLOOOOO Joe that isn't comping anything, it's called COMMON SENSE.
He was very arrogant and when I tried telling him our nice meal was ruined due to this and since we had a little one there getting antsy due to having to wait for so long he boasted right out that it wasn't his fault our little one was getting antsy. He clearly did not understand or care at all........very poor business management skills.
He also stated this was his uncles business so they aren't in the business to give out free meals. So be leery of eating at a place they are in the business of serving hairy food and not comping in any way for their mistake!
Yeah mistakes like that happen, yet reverse the situation.......you really want to eat something again you found someone else's hair in?!?!? Makes me gage just thinking about it. PLUS we we're repeat customers who everyone including Joe remembered, so to be treated like that was a slap in the face. We will never go back and will make sure to let family and friends know to never eat there again.

Underwhelming, bland, dry food. Service was decent enough.

Fish and chips here are not your basic ones. Food in this place is really good! Although we didn't wait that long to seat, I recommend a reservation.

We always have one meal here when we visit Kuaii. Such wonderful seafood and so fresh. Our waiter was having a hard night this time but did his very best to make up for it.

We got the fries and nachos. Average food but very kind service and my lava flow was so delicious!!! Also - their live musician was absolutely incredible. He sang like an angel and I would have listened to him sing all day if I could. Really enjoyed my time there.

Lovely view! Fresh fish entrees are delicious. Service is outstanding.

Great environment. We only had nachos and a couple cocktails and sat at the bar, but service was good and food was great. There can be a wait for a table.

A great family owned restaurant on Poipu Beach that serves a fine selection of lunch and dinner meals. When in Poipu, you can t go wrong.

Excellent tacos, fish n chips, burgers, and great cocktails. Open air and a view of the surf was a nice addition to a great meal. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. Kid friendly!

Pupu platter was great, as was the view. Larger parties should call ahead, gets busy.

Don't be swayed by the unassuming looks of the building. The restaurant is upstairs and we got a table overlooking the beach. Good atmosphere and the food was good.

Overall, we enjoyed it. The food and live music were all solid. We had an excessive wait for our food (almost an hour) and the happy hour drink prices didn't seem to be discounted ($16 for a local beer and Mai Tai) but we had a good time and enjoyed it.

Brenneckes is one our favorite "go to" places in Poipu. Consistent food quality and service year after year since my first visit in 2010.

Food was good, right on the beach. Overpriced even for Poipu, plenty of spots with better food and atmosphere for a slightly higher price.

Great food. Call ahead and make reservations. That way you will only wait 45 miutes.
