We ate at the restaurant and had a terrible experience. We came as a party of 11. Our friends just got married and made a reservation in advance online for the wedding party. A confirmation was never sent to the bride. She had to call to confirm they still had our reservation locked in.We went to eat and off the bat I knew things would go wrong. Our server asked if we needed menus, did not ask if it was our first time eating there (it was), and did not make sure to address the whole table when giving information. I had to ask other members of the table what was being said. Next, we ordered food. I have to say, the menu is very pricey for what they offered and it is pretty limited. Most of our party ordered burgers (priced at $18) including my boyfriend. I ordered the short rib ravioli (priced at $36). My boyfriend and I also ordered two appetizers. Now they told us that food comes out as it is ready. Okay, understandable especially when the kitchen area did not look large enough to hold orders. While we waited for our food, my boyfriend asked for straws from our server. She never brought them. He had to get up out of his seat to retrieve another server to deliver us straws after waiting for 10 minutes. Mind you, the restaurant was not busy. I saw staff standing around the bar chit chatting. Okay so my food starts to come out first. The server continued to deliver my plates to the other side of the table. Super frustrating. So I start to eat in order to clear space for our entrees. They bring out my dinner first. For a $36 plate, I expect two things: either plenty of food or a flavorable dish. My dinner was neither of those. I have no problems paying well over that amount for a dish. What I do have a problem with is when it's bland AND I get a 4oz piece of braised short rib with only TWO pieces of ravioli. I asked for salt and pepper to make the meal passable. Okay so everyone starts to get their food. My boyfriend's burger was undercooked. He ordered medium well, they gave him medium-medium rare. He also commented on how bland it was. Another person's burger had way too much pepper. As we eat, I notice our server (or any other for that matter) never came to check on us or refilled our waters. The person with too much pepper on his burger had no water to drink. I also ended up not having water. My boyfriend attempted to flag down a waiter twice (quite loudly) and we were ignored. Others at the table ended up giving us THEIR waters because no one showed up. Finally, after everyone was pretty much finished with their meals, the waitress comes over and asks how the food was. My boyfriend mentions his burger was undercooked and I tell her my food was "Meh, okay" to which she replies "Oh, okay." At that point I ask for refills for the entire table. In our party, we had someone pregnant who unfortunately had an adverse reaction to the smell of the food she ordered. The took that meal off and she ordered Mac n Cheese and Vegetables. They bring her a bowl of shells in a cheese sauce and... wait for it... A BOWL OF PEAS. The hell?? Okay - so we get the bill. They billed us on ONE check and tell us that they don't split checks. Um...no one thought to inform us of this? So we speak to the server and let her know that had we KNOWN this, people may have ordered differently. The server tells us to figure out how to split the checks ourselves so she can put it into the computer. WHAT? On top of that, they automatically added a 22% gratuity to our check?? I think not. So we request to speak to a manager. The "manager" tells us that on the BOTTOM OF THE MENU is where we are informed of the check policy. Oh - I had no idea there was a TERMS OF CONDITION we needed to read to dine there. Wow. She also completely disregarded all of the other issues (named above) that we explained to her. So they finally split our checks (still did it wrong by billing food on incorrect checks). No apologies, nothing. We promptly left without purchasing items from the store (including bottles of bourbon and souvenirs that we intended to purchase).

Great place to get local liquor if your passing through or staying for a week. The staff is also extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about their products. My favorite is the spicy vodka with the garlic bloody merry mix. Their are some award winning whiskeys also that they have that are amazing. Definitely will be returning in the near future.

My girlfriend and I were in Breckenridge for one day and went here after a long day of skiing. This place was out of this world! The staff was super friendly, the cocktails were delicious and had great names, and the food was absolutely amazing. They even cater some dishes for vegetarians. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Breckenridge. Sit at the chefs table if you have a small group.

My organization recently hosted our annual convention at a Breckenridge resort. Breckenridge Distillery came on site to do a spirits tasting during one of our evening social events. It was the hit of the evening for sure! They worked with the resort to handle all the liquor licensing and arrived on time and set up the tasting without needing any extra help. They gave out tons of swag and were very generous with their pours. We would definitely consider having them again for another event! Shout out to Samara for being easy to work with and for her amazing job that night!

Food and drinks were amazing. Recommend the DB burger with fries, Obi-wan old fashioned, octopus, wings, and oak and smoke. Also make sure you come early to taste all the liquors. Little of the pricey side, but definitely worth it.

If you're looking for a place to grab a quality craft cocktail after a day on the mountain this is the spot! The tasting is a nice way to sample the various products, but the cocktails are where the bartenders really bring the liquors to life.

Great food, a little pricey for what you get. Also, when you think about a distillery and a place that specializes in cocktails, is it really acceptable to charge $4 extra for sphere ice above a $15 cocktail? That s honestly excessive and a good quality bar that serves high end cocktails ($15) should be serving them with sphere ice.

My fiance and I went to their spirit and chocolate tasting! It was definitely worth the price, because the chocolate was decadent, and the spirits were exceptional. They offered a free shuttle to and from the distillery, because they are very generous with the spirits during the tasting. They even sent us home with a little care-package of a chocolate bar and two small bottles of their whiskey. We would definitely do this again if it was offered. We enjoyed how intimate it was, with only ten people at the tasting.

I just hope they do a meat and cheese pairing with their spirits as well, because that could be a lot of fun. Our only change would be adding crackers to the chocolate pairing because the water wasn't enough to cleanse the palate after each tasting.

Food 5/5, but big issue is the staff. I waited two different times to taste some whiskey and was completely ignored. It took absolutely no one in the room to finally get a taste of anything. I watched 2 couples get a full range tasting, including the $175 bottle, for free, but I was requested to pay past the 2 on the top shelf. I get that is the policy, but follow it for everyone and not give out $175 shots to select people.

Most annoying thing about the company is how they avoid a conversation about how they mix their bourbon whiskey. Quote from the site ...also consists of Barrels selected from Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana... In the tasting room they ll give you a complete story about how they distill it all, can t be true.

Phenomenal food, excellent atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. Very seldom does a restaurant get everything right, but the Distillery does.... Every time. We've eaten there 4 times in the last year and each meal is better than the last. It's now an automatic stop anytime we're in Breck. You must go.

We are regular patrons of the Breck Distillery because it is the complete package of great imaginative food, inviting ambiance and exemplary service.

A little while back we had a complaint, actually it wasn't even a complaint it was an improvement suggestion.
These things usually go down some dark hole never to reappear but when we went last night we were greeted by the extraordinary kindness, professionalism and generosity of Iza the manager. She addressed our issue so throughly and with such grace that we were embarrassed for even mentioning it. This is the kind of attention that keeps people coming back and back and back. Sarah our server was awesome too.

They aren't the lowest priced place in town but they are the best value in all regards.

We had visited a few years ago and really enjoyed our visit (they were just starting to make gin). We sat outside and enjoyed our talks with the staff and looked forward to visiting in the future. Unfortunately our visit this time wasn't as great. We were told twice we had to pay for more than 3 tastes (the taste was literally less than a teaspoon!) We asked to take the tour (I wanted to see how the gin was made). I swear the guy sighed and moaned! He said he had to text another guy, honestly we felt like we were a huge distraction for them. I bought the gin (over my husbands protests) but wish now I hadn't. We ended up going to the brewery and enjoying those nice people of Breckenridge. So disappointing.

Christmas Dinner. Never gripe but when we arrived there was a smell in the room. After that we were seated at a table and told that it was a fixed menu and it was 100 per person (probably said it somewhere and i didn t read). I m fine with that but i was with the kids and the kids menu read Tenders and Mac. Umm. no other option for the kids so we ordered lamb chops which they were nice enough to bring with nothing but the chops. no sauce no sides no nothing.

The waiter was kind enough but she was the only person who reacted to any request. She was clearly over worked. All the rest of the staff was content with throwing the plates at you and running off before you could ask for anything.

The deviled eggs were probably .50c worth of product. three small egg half s with 5 fish eggs of the cheapest fish roe. Umm. Maybe pb&j would have been more elaborate.

The food was VERY meh. Lamb chops were almost like they unwrapped the whole rack from costco and flopped it on the grill. Zero prep work. The chicken was so dry. The deserts sounded great but they fell very short.

In the end all i can say is that it was not worth the 100 dollars they charged up front and to top it off the service charge was optioned at 20-22-25%! Lol. I gave 15 cause it was christmas eve but only our server should have received it.

Best meal we've had anywhere in the last year, period. We were blown away with the level of execution this kitchen had. Everything was 100% on point...from the taste, texture, presentation. Whoever runs this restaurant knows what they are doing. As for drinks, we only had one each and they were good. But the food was really memorable.

We came in from a bicycle tour and even though the restaurant was empty they were not able to sit us... while we understood this we asked their shuttle to take us back to Main Street and the next availablity was almost 1 hr. Service was terrible, place is EXTREMLY crouded but yet the shuttle can only transport 2 people? Same people that were in the crowd! This should NOT be an option having a 20 seat shuttle to only transport 2 people. They didn t even try to seat us and the outside seating was empty! Won t recommend worse service EVER

Very cool place and love that you can say you've been to the highest elevation distillery! My boyfriend and I saw their tasting room in downtown like a week previously so wanted to check out the actual distillery.

Plus side is that they have great COVID precautions. Down side is that means limited people allowed to do a tasting at the same time so we went to their tasting room downtown instead which was AWESOME! And delicious! PS The wait at the distillery when we went was 30 minutes or we could sit down right away in their dining area but we chose the downtown tasting room instead.

High prices, lousy food and service. Maybe we caught them on a bad day but it started with two bartenders refusing to acknowledge my presents for about five minutes and I was the only one waiting for service. $43 for a grilled cheese, chicken fingers and one cocktail. The system of ordering at the bar and picking up at the food truck is very disorganized, no one knew what the status of their orders were and those who did not remember their order numbers had to go back inside to find out. Maybe their $15 cocktails are good, but I would not order food. I will not return to this place.

Wow. We had been to the Breckenridge Distillery and it's tasting room prior to actually dining there in the past. We had heard fantastic things. We arrived to our 6:30 reservation s early to pre-order steaks which they were out of. Initially we were ever so slightly disappointed in this but when we were told the specials we were happy to hear waigu beef was on the menu.

We ordered the mussels special which were 100% the best mussels I've ever had. The seasoning and flavor was absolutely amazing. The waigu beef and sides that is came with were perfect and of course our drinks were always on point. The service was impeccable and it was a birthday my husband will always remember.

Thank you!

I made a reservation 3 days ago for 5:45. I have eaten there 3 times in the last month and purchased a $200 bottle of whiskey. The last 3 times I went online and made reservations just like this time. We show up (party of 3) and we are directed to the bar for dinner , I explained that I don t want to sit at the bar and the hostess (who apparently only works Friday nights) indicates that all that available even though I have reservations and if I didn t want to sit at the bar I was supposed to indicate that in the memo line of the reservation! Instead of calling a manager over to resolve the issue she just says that s all that s available even though there were empty tables.
I wouldn t spend 10 cents at the restaurant again. The hostess is rude and is the classic example of the Peter Principle - everyone rises to their level of incompetence.

So absolutely disappointed! We feel ripped off. Went on the tour (if that's even what you want to call it...), ordered a $16 old fashioned cocktail and bought a $27 bottle of vodka. Headed down the mountain to discover you could buy the SAME EXACT BOTTLE OF VODKA FOR 19.99!!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!! Another example: Port cask whiskey was $69 at Breckinridge distillery and $55.99 at a nearby liquor store.

Absolutely phenomenal!
Casual, contemporary atmosphere vibe. The service was super friendly. The food was out of this world! We started with "hipster fries " - excellent. Our entrees were lamp shank and the special Osso Bucco. While both were wonderful, the lamb shank entree took the prize as being one of the best meals I have ever tasted!!! I'd give this restaurant more than 5 stars if it were an option. This is a restaurant to come to for the food and drinks. (Not necessarily romantic - just saying)

Breckenridge Distillery was such a neat place with extra friendly people who gave us a tour and gave us a taste - YUM! It is small, but they are expanding, because they need to make more. They sell out as fast as their batches are made. Excellent. Good brew from and for good people - smooth and tasty. We wish them well and encourage you to check this place out - it is off the beaten path & not downtown like everything else, but is worth searching for and finding. You will not regret it. We went twice. Looking forward to going again.

I go to Breck regularly and this place has potential to be fantastic . . . The location and the food are fabulous however the bar staff including bartenders and bar backs are the absolute worst I have ever experienced. We have tried on many occasions to go to the Distillery to eat and/or have drinks on the patio. and the they are jerks. How is that acceptable? Both our local and visiting group recommended firing people all of the bar staff And starting fresh with individuals that have some ounce of human respect, customer service skills, and the ability to manage two or more customers.

Parking is easy and they also have a shuttle that you can call for rides to and from the Facility.

Stopped into the tasting room on a Friday and tried three of their bourbons. I decided to buy a bottle of the bourbon aged in port barrels. Great experience and was excited to get the bottle home and drink it.

I put the bottle in my suitcase for about 4 hours in the car while we finished walking around and drove to our hotel. I'm aware corks can blow if a bottle gets hot, so i wrapped the bottle in some clothes and we were parked in the shade. When we arrived at our hotel and opened our luggage the bottle was almost empty and the cork was still in the bottle. I almost cried.

I went to the distillery to follow up with them about the bottle. I admitted to leaving it in the car, but found it weird the cork was still in the bottle and thought it was probably a leaking cork. I was told there was NOTHING they could do unless I could prove it was leaking. The cork was in the bottle and it was empty, I'm not sure how much proof you need. I was also told that since I'm not from Colorado that altitude might have something to do with the leak, unbelievable.

I asked to speak with a manager and they told me she wouldn't say anything different.

Moral of the story, be careful if you buy a bottle and plan on shipping it home, or even traveling with it at all. If something happens, you get no help. It's a shame because I thought the bourbon was really great.

Edit:. I still don't believe temp was the issue. But even if it was, I didn't see a single sign at the tasting room and wasn't advised by the guy working, even after I told him we were going to finish shopping before we left.

The worst part is that we didn't visit the Breckenridge Distillery until the last night of our trip. Every single person we interacted with with cheerful, friendly and knowledgeable. We took the tour with Matt, who had more knowledge than we could soak up. I really wish we could have picked his brain more. The guys at the bar (I'm so sorry I cant remember their names), made us feel like locals. I really enjoyed getting to chat with them. The drinks were superb and the food was the best we had in town. I'd HIGHLY recommend this place to any visitors. Very easy to get to on the Breck buses. Definitely was the hit to the end of our trip.

Nice place. Great whiskey, decor, lawn games outside were great. We visited for lunch around 12:30pm. There were a lot of employees around but did not acknowledge us and we had to ask a passing employee where we should order. After we were told the bar, My wife waited over 5 minutes(I didn t start timing until I thought she d been up there a while and went to join her) at the bar before the bartender acknowledged her and said he d be with her in a minute. After he served a couple girls that arrived after us he asked us what we wanted. We began to order from the menu but he interrupted and said they weren t serving off the menu. After a brief staring contest we asked what we could order for lunch. We were curtly told the food truck on the patio.

HIGHLIGHT: The guy in the truck was great and the barbecue was absolutely delicious.

However, my initial interaction kind of spoiled this rating. Not knowing where to go and not being assisted with kindness kind of ruined this place for me. Reading other ratings it looks like I m not the only one. Plus, I witnessed another couple receiving the same treatment.

MANAGEMENT: please train you folks to be helpful and courteous even if they re busy. It did seem like something was being prepared, but those folks were lost in whatever they were doing, not mindful of the paying patrons standing around looking lostWe really don t mind if the 3rd or 4th person asks if they can help or if we need anything.

Better customer service would be nice. 6 of us went to the distillery Friday night t 5:15 and were turned away. I understand if all the tables were full. But we asked if we could sit at the tall table. Seats 16. We were turned away. Plus, they don't serve food at the bar. So I wheeled my husband back to the car and put his wheelchair away. I went back on Saturday night at 5:15 by myself to see. There were people walking in, no reservations, and 3 different parties were seated at that table. Even a baby. When I asked, i was told that table wasn't open on Friday night because they didn't have a server for that table. Oh my gosh. Turn away business?
So tonight, my lobster ravioli had 5 raviolis with a little lobster inside and sauce with nothing else with it for $32. My ceasar salad for 2 which I took home, fit in a small to-go box. $16. We will never go back! My server was great and personable though. He might want to look for a better place to work!

Good food, maybe good whiskey?

Went there Saturday afternoon with a small group, wanting to grab a bite and try some whiskey.
Food was great, bartenders made some really good and creative cocktails. Afterwards, we went to the front/store/tour and no one was willing or able to help us-one woman was swamped at the register but the other was busy shuffling around water glasses and was pretty disinterested in helping us learn about their whiskey. Really were intrigued by the Dark Arts and Peach Bourbon and a few others but didn't want to blindly buy bottles that may be great-they were in the cocktails--but not without trying a tad and talking through the product line.
Good food, maybe good whiskey, unfortunate front of house experience.

We came here for a private party, which knocked me off of my feet!! The private party room was just perfect for celebrating with our group of 15 people. We had a whiskey tasting with several different whiskeys, our server was super knowledgeable about all of the details. And the food! Fabulous!! Every plate that we received was amazing, from the mushrooms and asparagus to the steak. Perfection. We were offered a tour of the distillery which was a nice final touch to our evening. Definitely recommend this place for any private party, especially if you enjoy your whiskey!

Have come here quite a few times and their cocktails are good, but I think they are very confused if they are an upscale great cocktail bar/ space or a low quality bbq food restaurant. Apparently they now serve dinner and block all tables from 3:00pm and basically thought we were invisible because we didn t have a dinner reservation. (dinner at 3pm?) We waited for 15 minutes at the host stand with plaid jacket employees passing us and not even looking us in the eye. Finally an employee informed us we could grab a beverage and stand and drink them over a table of an eating family if we really still wanted to stay for a drink we were appalled & left immediately. Will not return here. Massive staff attitude issue highlighted here again & for what they charge for a drink (17$ average) they should really train their staff to be much more presentable and not to respond to customers in condescending manners.

Breckenridge Distillery is a renowned distillery located in Breckenridge, Colorado. It is known for producing some of the finest and award-winning bourbon, vodka, and spirits in the world. The distillery was founded by Bryan Nolt in 2007 with a vision to create high-quality spirits that reflect the unique character of Breckenridge.

One of the unique features of Breckenridge Distillery is its location. It is situated at an altitude of 9,600 feet above sea level, making it the highest distillery in the world. This altitude provides a perfect environment for aging whiskey as it allows for slower maturation due to lower atmospheric pressure and cooler temperatures.

The distillery uses only locally sourced ingredients to produce its spirits. The water used in production comes from Rocky Mountain snowmelt which gives their products a distinct taste that cannot be replicated anywhere else.

Breckenridge Bourbon is one of their most popular products and has won numerous awards including Double Gold at San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2011 & 2012 and Best American Blended Whiskey at World Whiskies Awards 2016 & 2017. It is made from a blend of corn, rye, barley malt, and wheat which gives it a smooth taste with hints of vanilla and caramel.

Their vodka has also won several awards including Double Gold at San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2015 & 2016. It is made from local potatoes which are mashed then distilled five times resulting in an ultra-smooth finish that can be enjoyed neat or mixed into cocktails.

Apart from bourbon and vodka, Breckenridge Distillery also produces other spirits such as gin, rum, spiced whiskey among others all crafted with precision using locally sourced ingredients giving them unique flavors that are hard to find elsewhere.

Visitors can take tours around the distillery where they get to learn about the history behind each spirit produced there as well as see how they are made firsthand by experienced craftsmen who have perfected their art over time.

In conclusion,Breckenridge Distiller's commitment to quality has earned them numerous accolades over time making them one of America's top craft distilleries.Their use locally sourced ingredients coupled with their unique location makes their products stand out among other brands.Buying any product from this company guarantees you quality satisfaction beyond measure!
