Very Good food, kid friendly. Our meal didn't cost an arm and leg. We did the family style which let us try more of their dishes. Childrens menu offered great choices as well. Get the butterscotch pudding, its amazing.

I'm absolutely always hungry for Brasa. Vegetarian beans and rice is really good and, from what I hear, the carnivorous fare is equally memorable. A fun take away is their candied yam chocolate bar. May Brasa stand forever.

Great southern style food. Expect a 15-20 minute wait if it's dinner time, and parking is a pain, but it's worth it. Get a beer while you wait for your table. You can order by the plate but the menu is designed around ordering family style. Everything they make is great.

Excellent food and service. We ordered the pulled chicken sandwich and guacamole & chips. The sandwich was a very large portion. Bread was fresh, chicken was juicy. The guac had great flavor. We eat here frequently.

Food is great as always but I was very disappointed that this location does not have the fried catfish, mac n cheese, or pineapple gingerale like the St. Paul location, which is what I came for! Would have just got to the St. Paul location if I had known

A perfect casual go-to spot. Loved the family style service and the outdoor seating. Tried the roasted chicken and pork, chix was my favorite. Fried plantains were sweet and creamy. Would love to go back and try more.

Criolo cooking at its best. The yuca fries are amazing, with their green aioli sauce (that sauce is to die for, delicious on their rice). They have vegeterian options, but they excel in rotisserie. They're chicken is famously known in the NE Minneapolis area. They are organic and use local, humanly treated, animals, so they are a bit on the pricier side. A whole chicken will run you close to $30 with tax but will feed many people. A half order of yuca fries tho, is only $5 and very delicious. Its a nice change from traditional "French fries" and also makes a nice appetizer. Also, their Masa cakes are extraordinary, and only $2.50. I put the red sauce on top, hmmmm, so tasty. They so delicious, makes me wish they were open right now lol.

UPDATE: After a decline in quality and also fewer menu options.. No more masa cake cause of covid. Im sad to drop down to 1 star rating. They add to all orders an automatic 18% charge additional to the tax already charged by the state. I understand servers need to be paid, if they serve. I ordered pickup. The service for bagging my food is 18%. The prices are already pretty high, but tolerable. With this increase Im sorry to say I wont be coming back till the stop charging 18% to all orders. Sorry, but we ALL suffering from Covid, I cant afford 18% for servers that dont serve.

Went for lunch on Mother's Day. I will not be going back. The chicken was dry, the beans had no flavor, the rice was hard, and the whole meal was cold. Definitely waste of time and money. One star is being generous.

I call to place an order 30 mins before they closed. I was told they weren t serving anymore food, about everything in Brasa is slow cooked, plus I work at a restaurant just know it doesn t take long to make an order. So to be told I couldn t place an order felt like bad customer service, I know it was late but a job is a job until you re closed. I just would ve liked better from the establishment, that s all.

The NE Brasa is one of our favorite go to local restaurants. Everything on their menu is amazing, but our favorites are the chicken, chips & gauc, spinach, & beans. That green sauce though... I dream about it.

I love that they use meat from local farms here. The restaurant is tiny, but the food is amazing. The last few times we have gone, the service was a bit lackluster, but overall well worth the trip.

Such a gem! I just love the clan eating options here. You can order a la carte from the menu or get a platter. The guacamole and chips are a must, so fresh! And I love the collard greens as well as the andioulle sausage squash side dish (it's so sweet from the squash but you get a nice slice from the bites of sausage). The meats are always succulent and tender but to me they're not the highlight of the menu.

Excellent food and excellent service, I love yucca and fried tostones, chicken is at its point, prices very well considering that it is chicken without hormones, in short excellent place to go to eat with the family!

Really good food. Interesting atmosphere. The only thing I didn't like was fresh cilantro in my rice and peas (yellow rice). But that's my personal dislike for cilantro. Otherwise the food was amazing, my fiance really enjoyed it as well. He even asked if we could go again.

Ordered the pulled pork, smoked beef, red beans & yellow rice, fried plantains, crispy yuca, and cornbread. Everything was okay, but nothing stood out. Our favorite things were the yuca and the beans/rice, and for a place like this you'd expect their meat to be the favorite of the night, but both the pork and beef were somewhat boring.

I honestly think this place is overrated. It feels way in the pricy range for what they really give you. However, the service and experience might be different while on regular operations.
Last time I went the fried yuccas were soggy and not as crispy as my first time in there, also the chicken was dry, so that loses some continuity in quality points for me.
Im not condemning them, but there aren t enough good elements to make me go back.

We received a gift card for Brasa a couple of years ago now and the food was so delicious, my wife decided to give up cooking Thanksgiving dinner and instead our new family tradition is to order from Brasa for the feast. Highly recommended.

Took my GFGF (Gluten Free Girl Friend) to this place and let me tell ya the gluten free options are endless. Plus i ordered food with gluten in it and it was damn good. Reminds me of an authentic chicken restaurant in Mexican, with the wide open walls so even when you're inside, you feel outside. And they have bean bags and a cool fire pit so that's a plus. Only down side was the long wait (about 25 minutes for a party of 2) but DEFINITELY worth the wait 10/10 would go again

This place is killer. Friendly, delicious, and the patio is really pleasant. We asked the waitress to just bring us her favorite stuff, and she knocked it out of the park. My favorites were the pulled chicken and this sort of masa patty with cheese and spicy slaw on it. We had a pitcher and took our time without ever being rushed. I d definitely come back if I were in the area again.
