Had happy hour tacos (shrimp and pork) both very tasty IMO, however partner felt the pork taco was too dry. Portions were sizeable too, we were quite full off that with chips and guac on the side. Only downside was lack of craft beer options, 3 on tap and none were notable. Server was prompt and friendly. Do recommend for the food, not the beer.

Mouth watering goodness is everywhere here. Touts us a neat eaters paradise, with good options for vegetarians as well. Remember to order sides! Yucca Fries and the Yams with Andouille was amazing.

Hands down, one of my all time faves in the Twin Cities. Their meats, side options and actually... come to think of it, everything on the menu is delicious. It s also one place we often bring our family and friends, who are visiting from out of town, and they ve all complimented it too. Try their green and red sauces, especially with the rotisserie chicken. It gets crowded in the evenings so prepare to wait a bit (around 20-40 minutes) as they don t take reservations. Order yourself a drink while you wait!

Awesome waitress, service, atmosphere, food, price. Wish I could remember the name of our waitress 2 weeks ago. Thanks for the good food recommend and getting us out to get to our event on time!

With an extensive menu of quality southern cooking made from fresh, local ingredients, Brasa is one of my favorite restaurants to visit in the Twin Cities for food to warm the body and soul. I particularly enjoy coming here with groups of people, allowing us to order a variety of dishes and share them.

There is nothing on this menu that I would not recommend. I generally do not eat meat, but this is one of few circumstances where I regularly deviate. All of the food is expertly prepared, and I trust and am ethically comfortable with the sourcing of the ingredients.

If you have not been to Brasa yet, I would recommend a visit with a group of friends and/or family.

After reading all the ravishing reviews all over yelp we walked in on a perfect Sunday afternoon. Ordered Pulled pork with rice & pigeon peas with ham sofrito. Pulled pork was average. it never melted in my mouth like lot of reviews i read. Found a big piece of cooked melted plastic in the rice :) the staff was kind enough to replace the dish with a fresh one but pulled pork remained on the table cold and dry till my next sofrito rice came to the table.

Ordered flan which matched our expectation, but then was already bored and lost the charm of the brunch experience. Reading all the reviews (if they are for real :) ) i might give it a second chance, Because so far yelp reviews has never gone wrong for me.

Great food! I like the flavors, genuine cooking going on here. Varied menu with many options....like having the ability to order meat only. BBQ is tasty, portions are light.

Cons: prices are above average/somewhat high. $2.75 for a lemonade, but no refills. That's 80's style dining. Atmosphere is casual, which I like but some of the staff have this 'cool' attitude - you know, where you feel like your bothering them.

I'm always looking for new foods to try. I leave reviews when ever I get a chance. Brasa is one of those places. Different tastes. If you like different, but normal amazing really tasty food. Brasa is a must. Don't forget the collard greens.

Great food, quality and flavor is banging. Awesome cilantro aioli sauce that is so good I buy a pint to take home EVERY time I'm there. Try the Yuca, a root that is much like a potato, fried and seasoned well and makes a delectable vessel for which to eat the cilantro aioli. The pork, beef and chicken are all worth eating. All of their sides are good too. I recommend ordering small or medium portions of anything that sounds good and sharing with your party. It's a great place for sharing food. Especially awesome in the summer as the sides of the restaurant all open up. Just a heads up, no fountain soda.

Love the food but takeout orders vary grossly on quantities. A large order typically consists of half a quart container - I think it equals about a pint. It's alarming to open your large and see it half full. Very expensive prices for small quantities. I attached a photo for reference of a "large" that comes half-full.

The food has been consistently awesome (love the rotisserie chicken, and that green dressing is amazing), but I have to give extra praise for their drive up/take out experience. They were better organized and more efficient than any of the other restaurants I have picked up food from during the COVID crisis.

The best of the best. You can order anything and it'll be amazing. I recommend the rotisserie chicken, the Yuka fries and the grits. They also just added mac n cheese to the menu and as someone from the south I can assure you, you won't be diassapointed.

I would highly recommend this place! The food was absolutely wonderful! The staff were friendly and attentive, but not in your face. And the prices were great! There are sharing options or individual plates. We had a great lunch and will be back when we're in the area again!

I love the spiced creamed spinach and candied yams. This restaurant is all about the comfort foods! You can share or enjoy your own dish. The sides are a la carte and are very filling. Cute patio and great atmosphere- especially during the summer!

We waited just outside the door in a sunshiny warm lite sprinkling rain for 10 minutes, but we didn't care a bit. The wafting aroma of Creole dry-rubbed local raised chicken kept us eager to be seated. My wife noticed how everyone was smiling and having a great time. The blank faces of zombies staring into their smartphones was non existent... Oh right, annnnnd the food!!! YUM YUM YUM about sums it up, you must see for yourself! Trust me, "your going to like the way you look" errr, I mean LOVE it.

Creamed spinach with jalapeno anyone? Yes please. Grits with Cheddar like the first time you tried them when Grandma and Grandpa took you on a trip to Nashville when you were 11 years old? YES PaLEEZe!!! Funny because I didn't like grits when I was 11... Cornbread!

And that's all I have to say about that. Shrimp Gumbo, ..., ..., ...

Brasa is just always good. It s one of my favorite spots in the Twin Cities for a casual date night or just a solid dinner with friends. Really the biggest downside is that the space is pretty cozy and they don t take reservations, so getting a table around dinnertime often means waiting around for a little bit. This is especially true in the winter when the patio seating is unavailable. But the coziness is part of this spot s charm.

With that said, Brasa is worth the wait! The food is always fantastic and the ability to order small plates a la carte makes it a great place to try a bunch of new things with friends. My personal recommendations are the pulled chicken with pepper gravy, the brown sugar candied yams, and some sweet corn cornbread, but you really can t go wrong whatever you try.

The happy hour is definitely worth checking out as well, with both food and drink specials available. For beer, they have a small rotating tap list, usually high quality stuff, and wine and sangria are also available.

It has been a little bit of time since our last time here. Food is not as good as it was before. Disappointment is the word to describe our experience. No longer a Creole or Caribbean flavor. No bueno!

They don't need to post specials; their standard menu is already fantastic. The amazing Creole-style food Brasa serves is my new favorite comfort food. The yucca fries, collard greens, yams with andouille, cheesy grits, smoked beef, and pulled chicken are my top choices, but everything on the menu is stellar. Best of all: the organic/local cuisine leaves me feeling pretty good afterwards (physically and ethically).

I had the rotisserie chicken with rice & beans and a side of fried plantains. The food was of good quality. For the chicken, spices were well mixed and the meat was tender. The rice and beans were fairly standard, but were pleasing. The fried plantains were well done, nice caramelization on all pieces. The price was a bit hefty. I paid $20 here for something I could get back home at local Peruvian chicken establishments for $6 less (30% less) with larger portions. All in all a good experience with a larger price tag.

Limited inside seating. Great outdoor space.

Perfect if you are looking for something besides a burger that will stick to your ribs.

This place is to die for. They have amazing pulled chicken, which I like as a part of a sandwich. They offer delicious sides like corn bread, yucca, grits, rice and beans. Pure comfort food!

Great barbeque. Meat was fantastic, the tree beans and rice were Smoky and delicious. We had the pork and pulled chicken, both were great, the chicken was creamy and delicious.

It's a little small and it's good so there might be a wait, but we got a table in about 5 minutes.

Generally very good tasting food, but occasionally bland. It's very popular, so be prepared to wait if you intend to sit down there to eat. They always significantly underestimate the time to prepare takeout orders (at least in my experience), so give a little extra time (10-15 minutes) before you bother heading there to pick your order up.
