I really enjoy the chicken here and the simple gluten free food. The food is agreeable with the palates of most people since it isn't super overpowering. However, I tend to like my food with more flavor and seasoning.

Brasa has a fun, quaint atmosphere and the patio is great on summer nights for drinks and dessert.

Pro tip: the wait for a table can be long so be sure to call in advance to see how long the wait is. Peak hours are really busy.

Our server gave us a great explanation of the layout of the menu and what items were the best candidates for experiencing creole food. Our group had a great time here and thoroughly enjoyed the food.

real tasty, I visited brasa on a busy lunch and got a table for one. looking at the menu it has quite a few vegeterian choices despite specializing in meat, the service was quick waiter awesome and the old garage window with all the sunlight is cool, excellent spot

A wonderful addition from the Alma family. Combines an excellent southern flair with a hint of Latin influence. Excellent choices from the trough, the wine is simple and can be paired well with the menu. The collard greens and brown sugar yams are fantastic! All the meats are to die for and the family style service truly brings the comfort of home to an unfamiliar place.

I would give 3.5 stars if I could. The food was pretty good but they give very small portion sizes for what they charge, $10 for 1/4 lb of meat and a side. Their menu is also fairly confusing and limited

Good food. Lousy service. We were the videographers at a wedding we did with them and there were members of their staff that were extremely rude. They also refused to give us dinner before the speeches so we ate at 9pm.

I love this place! It has food that reminds me of my abuela's. The collards with smoked turkey are a thing of beauty! Lots of atmosphere and one of the best places to eat in North East MPLS

I love Brasa, and especially the St. Paul location. Always fresh food and no matter what you get, it is always tasty. To top it off, the service is great. Love the family-style, so definitely come with a couple of friends or family to share and enjoy together!

The service was fast and friendly. We came during the lunch rush on a Friday and were able to be seated immediately. It s a smaller space and it was busy. The garage doors open during the summer and give more outdoor seating. They also have a cozy fire pit to hang around outside.

The food was delicious. The fried plantains were well made and tasted great. The chicken has amazing flavor and sauces pair very nicely. The grits were very good. It is a bit spendy for the portion size.

Staff is very welcoming! Loved the option to eat inside or outside. Had the smothered pulled chicken with yellow rice-they let me leave off the beans so that was awesome. The poblano pepper cream sauce was insanely good. Check out this little place next time you're in town.

Really great southern style food. If you are with your family or a group, order together - meats by the pound from the board and sides to share. Recommend the rotisserie chicken, but get there early - we've been twice where they have ran out. Greens were perfect.

Had a delicious dinner! Flavors were amazing and the jerk chicken special was fantastic! The place isn't huge and there was a bit of a wait, but the food was totally worth it. Could be tricky to find space with large groups, but small groups can mix and match and share dishes! I am looking forward to going back

The food was great, but our service was terrible. Our waiter took so long for everything, from taking our order to getting our dessert, and everything in between. When he finally made it to our table, we had to stare at his underwear. I am ok with not having a uniform at work, but I m not ok with my server s pants sagging so much, his whole butt is out. Again, I will say, the food was great!

Brasa is incredible. Their meat is like nothing I ve tasted elsewhere. The yucca fries, the rice, the beans, the cornbread is all heavenly. Everything is good. The atmosphere is very hipster-y. Brasa is great for plates to share, because they don t really serve meals: everything is separate. Brasa is so consistently good, I cannot recommend it enough.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities. The food is priced right and made well. There's not a bad thing on the menu, but the smoked beef is always a reliable choice.

I can't get enough of this place. I have never dined in but we order take out all the time! The food never disappointing and every time I go to pick up the food, the customer service is always on point!

I really liked the food and will definitely be back. The menu's a bit small, but highly customizable, so it makes up for it. Everything was delicious. And I love the high-quality of the food, too, the reason I want to go to places like this. Be ready to walk a ways, as parking is terrible. This place was not built to be a great lunch spot as it currently is. It has like 8 parking spots. Absurd. It used to be a tiny garage. It's also precariously located where Hennepin splits, so you might zip by it. But when it's warm, it's cool that they open the garage door and it's like we're all eating outside. And the food and prices were great.

We ate at Brasa last evening (Wednesday). We were lucky enough to get in at about 6:30 because by 7 they were packed with people waiting. The wait staff were really patient with the indecisiveness of my 5 person party on staying or going and what to order. The restraunt was really warm but the the air was moving so it wasn't too awful but it was a bit excessive.
The main dishes were great, the pulled chicken sandwich is like the angry older brother of a Reuben. The beef is tasty as is the rotisserie chicken. The sides were pretty flat, the creamy spinach with jalapeno is good creamed spinach but lacks the punch of jalapeno. The black beans with corn bread are just exactly that with little done in the kitchen to help. The good news is that they have the perfect condiment, Franks' red hot, on the table to improve the dishes. The chips and guacamole is a great appetizer though and the birthday cake cupcake is delicious I was told.

Casual and fun. Recommend outdoor dining if weather permitting. Food is by the dish so sharing is recommended, you can then try several dishes. The plantains are awesome! The wait staff are good and service is fairly quick. Though take your time, this isn't a drive thru.

Can't say enough good things about the food here - everything we tried was delicious. The staff were also fast and friendly, never got anything wrong. Also great for groups of people, the dishes are designed to be shared (even if you do just want to eat everything yourself).

Want to impress your friends by taking them to a hip, urban restaurant with phenomenal food? Take them to Brasa, my favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities. Try the egg dish: Over Easy and Pulled Pork- it's a great dish for any time of day. And the fried Yucca is a very good side.
