Best spot in town! My go to spot for bringing out of towners. Always leave with a full stomach and a great vibe
3 of the 50ish customers were classical hipsters. It draws a rugby team vibe for some homestyle post game quiet revelry with a pretty ethnically and racially and generationally diverse crowd. It rained for awhile, but it let up before we left.
Great food, good service but no full bar. My food was delicious. I would have liked to top it off with a bourbon. Overall well worth the trip.
Amazing! Had the pork rice and beans and can't wait to go back!
Great place for a unique food experience. Everything's superb.
Really high quality food at a not-unreasonable price, though the plate meals come with just the one side and the sandwiches come with tortilla chips and no dip unless you get it extra, so expect to pay a little extra for a "full" meal. Though if you opt not to you'll still get plenty to eat. Cool atmosphere and friendly staff, will definitely be visiting again.
The creamed spinach is out of this world! Love the shredded pork and the rotisserie chicken. The cheesy grits are fantastic too! Cute atmosphere and great service.
Staff is very welcoming! Loved the option to eat inside or outside. Had the smothered pulled chicken with yellow rice-they let me leave off the beans so that was awesome. The poblano pepper cream sauce was insanely good. Check out this little place next time you're in town.
Best rotisserie in the cities!! The food is amazing and the garage style atmosphere is perfect for anyone. Try the red beans and rice! The sauce is delish!
Pros-Place was cool and hip, good service. Con-Seemed overpriced for what we got, food was overall whaaa whaaaaa, not enough seasoning, or amounts. I ve made
Better pulled pork at home. Would have been happier with a chipotle burrito.
Great, great food. Great service. Parking was a nightmare, but that isn't Brasa's fault. The walk of a few blocks was worth the trip.
Incredibly dry and overpriced tiny portions. Check Yelp reviews before visiting. I 100% will never come back and would recommend you never visit.
Amazing chicken, greens and rice! It was so good if we weren't in a hurry and on a budget I would've ordered more. They serve family style and the rest of the menu seemed a la carte. Staff is casual, knowledgeable and friendly. Can't wait to go back
This place is a veritable hype machine. Ever since I moved to MSP and told people where I lived, they contually pointed out "oh wow, you live near Brasa!" They've got serious buzz about them at the moment, so my expectations were sky high. To be clear, the food was good - I had rotisserie chicken with a size of beans and some Yuca Fries. Tasted great. But I guess I'd caution people to pump the brakes a bit on the hype - this place probably gets a helping hand from its solid hipster credentials to make it the hot commodity that it is. The food, while solid, is not out of this world. But it's just down the road from me, so I'll go back to see if maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.
Best chicken in town! I used to order sides but now I just go straight for the 4-piece rotisserie chicken instead. Seating gets kinda tight in the winter with the patio closed, but the food is always worth the wait.
Absolutely amazing food! The rotisserie chicken, the collard greens, the beans, I could keep going!!
Amazing food, great service, and they had our dinner served just minutes after we ordered it. Can't wait to go back!
Great Caribbean flavors. Excellent service. Lemon pound cake
Great service, excellent food, we recommend the pulled chicken with yellow rice and beans.
One of my favorite places in the Twin Cities for comfort food! Often very crowded though.
Great all around restaurant. Food and service where excellent.
I like this spot and the St. Paul spot. Not a lot of seating and often hot inside in the summer. Good place to go with friends and sample each others food.
Excellent food excellent service!!! Great prices too!
Fantastic! Always busy, and for good reason! Locally grown, fresh food with a chef who knows how your dish should be prepared. Everything is delivered fresh every morning and cooked from scratch. Although busy, the service has always been attentive, cheerful and friendly. Never a disappointment with everything on the menu savory, you will be completely satisfied! This is a THE place I take my out of town friends. Very consistent with service and food with very reasonable prices, I HIGHLY recommend! .
Delicious! Went with my 2 little ones and they ate it up! The pulled pork and pulled chicken tasty. The braised stewed beef was rich and a must eat!
This place is chill with good chicken and the corn bread is fire
This place is always good. Just wish they had a bigger building. The summer they nearly double their capacity with patio seating but in the winter the wait times are a lot longer.
Collard greens are amazing.
This place is amazing! The food is great, prices are nice, and the service is awesome! You made 5 spills? No problem, the nice service is there for whatever you need. The food is amazing, and you should go during happy hour. You may think Alcoholic Drinks? . They have that, but they also have great food on the list too. Their shrimp tacos are to die for!
This is a great place for good contemporary soul food with other ethnic options intertwined. I love this place and I would recommend to anyone who visits the twin cities
My wife and I have made it a tradition to go here the week before Christmas (with the kids). I love the rowdy atmosphere, the family-share type food, and the well curated beer list.
Oh, and don't skip on the house made vinegar!
Easily one of the best Creole inspired restaurants in the Twin Cities. The rotisserie chicken, pork, and creamed spinach are wonderful.
Absolutely wonderful food. Can't go wrong with anything you decide to Order.
Great food in casual setting. Meats are all solid and a decent value. Sides are varied and uniformly good. Kids like yucca, I like collard greens with smoked chicken. Wife likes the salad. All love the cornbread, chips and guac, beans and rice. Small but varied selection of beers and wine.
Extra tasty food + local/organic ingredients + low prices = best restaurant in town. Although the other meats sound better, the rotisserie chicken is the best (it comes with their awesome cilantro garlic dipping sauce). Also excellent are the collar greens, the fried yuca, the creamy jalapeno spinach, and the cornbread. Also, it's an awesome place for low carb or gluten free folks.
Incredible food and decent prices. We tried the chorizo potato chilaquiles bowl and the smoked beef plate. The bowl was spicy with an incredible mix of flavors, and the smoked beef was extremely tender with a delicious sweet barbecue sauce. The space is completely unassuming with a large patio and a friendly/quick service. This place is definitely worth a stop the next time you are in Northeast Minneapolis!
Yum yum! I tried the BBQ tofu sandwich, and it was packed with flavor! Best tofu I've ever had! Nice patio area for dining, and lots of other yummy options. My husband had a catfish bowl, and it was also very good!
It's a small place. You can eat outside on good days which is nice.
There seems to be way more staff than customers sometimes but they are unobtrusive and don't get annoying.
The food is very good.
I am fussy with food so there are some thing I really didn't like, but the ones I did were delicious.
The main critiscism i have, (and the reason for being one star short), is the fact there was no ice served with the water. Lukewarm almost tepid water is not a good start to a meal.
Get bigger cups, and a good ice maker so all water can be served with ice and another star will be earned.
Interesting and tasty items in menu . small laid back place but offers good/friendly service and nice flavourful food .
The seating was pretty limited and cramped when we went in, but the service was great! The food was good, but we didn t think it quite lived up to the hype. The reason I gave this place a 3 star review was because we felt the bill was way too expensive for what you get. It was too high in price for the food/experience we received. I m glad we checked it out, but we probably won t be back due to that.
Great southern comfort food. The pork and over easy eggs bowl is a must! Curry chicken is a close second.
I love Brasa. The food is delicious and consistent. The garage style doors open up giving the whole place an outdoor feel in addition to their patio. parking is tight, but it is worth it! Try something off the wall new there..
One of my favorite places, food is fresh and delicious and many options for picky eaters
Afternoon 1st time visit here after a play at the Guthrie. The Rotisserie Chicken and Red Beans and yellow rice were heaven in my mouth! I will be back often all the way from Rochester. Great food!
One of the best bbq sandwiches I have ever had, plus their spicy vinegar is a treat all by itself, not the cheapest place around, but the food tastes like its far more expensive than it is anyway.
The food is phenomenal. But the best part is how they cater to diets and restrictions. My best bet for when I do the Whole30. The only down side is the wait for a seat. Trust me, it's with the wait.
As a Southerner, this place was the best! The greens tasted like my momma made them. Delicious!
One of Minnesota's best! I take everyone from out of town to experience the awesomeness that is Brasa. The meats and sides are the bomb! My family and I usually get a variety of stuff and have a picnic at a park near by. You can also get individual plates if you don't feel like sharing.
Great busy as atmosphere. Great location . Great food
Would have been nice to get utensils and napkins with my togo order but other than that the food was pretty decent.
I came here with high expectations but left a little underwhelmed. Don't get me wrong, it was good. Just not great and not worth the wait or the price.
Not worth the money for their tiny portions. And very cramped seating indoors.
The curry chicken is wonderful. The cilantro is just spot on for flavor in this dish!
Visiting for the Final Four...Go Red Raiders!!! Found this place based on the reviews and would definitely recommend. Friendly, knowledgeable staff helped us choose multiple items to share. Cornbread is delicious. Meats were tender and had good flavor. Get extra red sauce, you won't be disappointed.
Space is small but food is good. Spicier than one would expect, but not mouth numbing. Solid lunch spot, also a good dinner location. Don t be afraid to order sides as mains
Delicious food, but very small location. Sometimes there cab be a long wait. But it's worth it!
Their menu is small but the items are SO high quality. It's one of my favorite places to eat in the entire Twin Cities. Their Chilaquiles are awesome.
I always get the rotisserie chicken plate with a side of vegetarian beans and rice. Super well seasoned and reasonably priced.
Usually top notch food but some staff have a superiority complex.
Super quick service even for take out. Delicious food even for vegetarians and awesome service!
Meh. Special was small, not dinner-worthy. Wish I'd have picked a sandwich off the menu.
Simple but perfectly prepared food that comes to you quickly
Amazing food and they try very hard to accommodate food allergies.
Nice selection of food, friendly staff. I'll be eating there again.
This place is consistently DELICIOUS, quick and friendly. It's one of my top 3 spots for sure.
Staff is very welcoming! Loved the option to eat inside or outside. Had the smothered pulled chicken with yellow rice-they let me leave off the beans so that was awesome. The poblano pepper cream sauce was insanely good. Check out this little place next time you're in town.
The food is delicious. I usually order a la carte and share with friends. The creamed spinach, pulled chicken, and yuca are high on my list. The place is small, busy, and they don't take reservations. About 50% of the time I go there, ask the wait time, and end up going somewhere else because I'm usually too hungry to wait 40 minutes to get seated. Nice spot in NE, though.
I love rice, they put olives, very good, and their tasty chicken
This is my FAVORITE place in Minneapolis to eat!!! The food is exceptional and you will not be disappointed. All of the meats are so flavorful and not dry in the slightest. I would highly recommend ordering the Yucca Fries. They are like a steak fry but they have so much more flavor than your typical french fry.
The vibe at the restaurant is really cool. You can sit inside or outside and when the weather is nice they keep the garage doors in the front open so you can have the best of both worlds. They have a fireplace and some seating on the side as well.
Great place and I highly recommend that you go!
A strong variety of excellent food, would actually not recommend the chicken by itself, other dishes are far more interesting and better spiced
One of my favorite places to bring a small group of people because the food is easily shared and everything is delicious. My favorite is the lime pork and yucca fries.
