I Love Brasa, their portions can be on the tiny side but it's still a good food
I Love Brasa, their portions can be on the tiny side but it's still a good food
Great slow cooked meats in a laid back atmosphere. The patio seating in the summer is really nice.
Was very underwhelmed. I had to stop and get something to eat after I left and the food wasn t that great. Will no be going back ever again
Always great food, not hard to get a table most nights. Entertaining to watch the parade of cars go for the one handicap spot, only to try to navigate out of the parking lot successfully.
Family style... Get the chicken! Truly gluten free too!
Amazing menu 95% gluten free and I have yet to have a single dish that isn't amazing!
The food, the service, the space, is just great!
Best way to describe Basa is maybe a northern barbecue, a mix bettween Tex-Mex and a sandwich shop. Have never been able to figure out why they can't cut chicken at the joints. The pieces are always hard to deal with. Will go again great place.
A little pricey, but worth it! The food is always high quality. It s simple food done right. I always recommend this place. Both the mpls and Saint Paul locations are consistently good.
Very good and delicious food! We loved it here, a little bit on the pricey side so we can t eat there every day like we want but definitely worth a visit here and there. My favorites are the smothered pulled chicken and red beans with rice! YUM!
Slow-cooked southern-style meats and side dishes. The definition of comfort food. The beers on tap are from breweries in the neighborhood.
Friendly service and although they are celebrated for their chicken, I think their pulled pork wins. I really appreciate how our server made us feel welcome and un-rushed even though we had just come in after another dinner and split an entree. The sides look good as well! The restaurant utilizes their indoor space well, for a small place it looks as though they offer a good amount of seating. Prepare for a wait though during busy times!
Individual portions for lunch was pretty good. Not too much, not too little. Good price for the amount and quality of food.
Great place to eat lunch. Had an excellent pork bowl, but they have all types of options there. Very good spot overall.
Soul food in a nice and cozy spot. There isn t much space and it always feels packed.
It is great if you love meat. Often very busy. Every time I am over stuffed, which means the food is good :)
Fantastic, high quality food, and flavors with depth. Definitely try their meats, and don't leave without sharing a number of the sides with whomever you dine with (just so you can try more things in one visit :).
The restaurant has high ceilings and a warehouse feel to it. Was a great place to sit awhile, eat slow, and talk with my wife.
Ridiculously good food maybe some of the best I've had. Glad I stopped in.
The food is always soo good! This place might not seem like it would be good for vegetarians but it actually is! They have a bean fritter sandwich that is very good. But I personally just like to get the sides which are all awesome. The creamed spinach the yuca. The. Yuca. Yuca seems to be one of those things that is very hard to get right and they get it so right. Also the aioli they serve with it. Yes.
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, we loved the experience, food, everything about the people
Parking can be difficult, but the food is definitely worth the hassle. The food is excellent and the portions are generous.
Amazing rotisserie chicken, cornbread cakes & chips/guac/salsa!!
Favorite place to eat in the cities, bar none. Order sides and market price meats to share for best experience.
Elegant place. Small plate was good. Fast services.
One of my favorite spots in Minneapolis! We've tried most of the items on their menu and all have been absolutely delectable. My favorites are the rotisserie pulled chicken and yuccas -- YUM! Do yourself a favor and order an iced cafe con leche -- so refreshing! Parking is limited so expect street parking or take public transit if possible.
Disappointing. It was a nice enough place, but it's very overpriced for what you get.
In my top 5 of NE eateries. Probably #1 or #2. Seems like everything is super homemade. Is that possible? Somebody here knows how to cook like how your grandma knew how to bake...or how my grandma baked anyway. Just get one of everything and double it so you can take it home for leftovers. And THE best red Sangria. Wait, is this my third glass? No it isn't. Yes, yes it is.
Good food sometimes the wait is longer then it should be
If you go in the winter when the patio's closed, seating is extremely tight and the wait's long at dinner time, but it's so worth it. Awesome meat, scrumptious sides, interesting "build your own dinner" concept. Lots of local offerings. Not a huge selection, but what they do, they do very well. This is going to be a new family favorite for us, especially since most of their menu is gluten free.
With great mains and sides, you are always assured of a delicious meal. The only negative is parking, which can be challenging depending on the time of the day.
Fairly priced and delicious! Some of the best chicken I've had
Very tasty food, great service, the chicken was divine.
One of our favorite places! Food is consistently delicious, service is outstanding, and staff is welcoming and friendly! Love it!!!!
The food is excellent. I had the Pork & Over Easy Bowl, I would highly recommend it. Also the Cafe con Leche is very good.
This place is always delicious, friendly and fast service. Always a home run for comfort food with a twist
Crowded and noisy. Food seemed like they tried to combine a country smokehouse with mexican. It was not what I expected.
Excellent food and great atmosphere. Great food served family style.
Love their salad, and chicken, pretty much everything is delicious.
Visited the twin cities for an anniversary. This place was on my list of places to try out, though we nearly messed up the timing and missed it. I am very happy we didn't, it was the best food I have eaten out in a long time. Highly recommended.
Food is good. Love the bean fritter. Prices are kinda high though. Should serve some complimentary salsa or dip with their tortilla chips. If I am paying 10+ dollars for a sandwich I expect to get a good side and not plain tortilla chips.
I have been to brasa before and this was my second time going there. I loved the food, I always have. The Rotisserie chicken is excellent, the juices are fresh and all around the portions are spot on. I love the vibe of the place and though parking can be a hash sometimes,it is hardly a complaint. However on my last visit; my server Kim came by after we had sat and asked for our drink orders. I had my lemonade and my companion had her orange juice within 5 minutes after we had sat at the table. Then after some commiseration with my order (didn't well understand some items on the menu,my fault),we had our order in and this is where things went awfully wrong. We sat there for well close to 50 mins before she walked by and told us that it would be a moment longer before the food was ready. About 10 mins later we had our food. So i believe this is what happened, she took our order at the table and instead of putting it in right away, she tended to something else and completely forgot,it's not until she walked by our table that she realized she had forgotten and hastily put it in. This is evidenced by practically everyone else that came to the restaurant later than we had and gotten their food before we did (the family next to us had practically ordered the same thing we had). To make it worse, she did not come by after bringing the food to even ask if we needed our drinks refilled, seeing as how we had been cooling on our laurels for well close to an hour. So we just ate our delicious food and i made a point to tip her well besides the obvious failures. I just did not know the tasteful way to handle it at the time despite my huge disappointment. I love their awesome food and i will make a point to go back, but it will most likely be take out. I was disappointed, really disappointed and i hope this is a slight blight to their otherwise well run establishment. Point is, i do not recommend a sit down.
Everything here is amazing. Beyer of getting takeout as its always packed.
Been going here for years. Love the food. The pulled chicken, slow roasted pork, and rice are to die for.
I find myself recommending this place to friends, family, co-workers etc. every chance I get.
Cannot get enough fried Yucca. The Rice & Peas w/ Sofrito & Ham is incredible. The roasted pork is mouth wateringly good.
One of my favorite places to eat! Everything that I've tried off the menu has been delicious. My bill adds up quickly because I always want more than one side. That's my only dislike.
Please note that the St. Paul location has a better and bigger menu selection.
The menu is fantastic and reasonably priced, both meal and dessert were to die for.
ALWAYS good, regardless of location. SW location is even better!
Great comfort food, quick service. One request for a second beer was not filled by our wait staffer but they comped the first beer due to a crack in our pint glass. Will return!
Always fantastic food, can get busy but then you can drink by the fire and make new friends, limited but good beers on tap, good price for what you get
The best white people soul food in town. If you hate pork make sure to have it removed from the greens.
Best sides ever. Great variety and very tasty. Cute patio and cold beer
We went (party of 7) after a Valentine Day Wedding at the courthouse. The aromas when you drive up are amazing. Cute, small cozy cafe. Great staff, friendly service. We had roasted chicken, roasted pork, roasted beef
All made from scratch...good sized portions.
Kids menus were a plus. Will be back.
My favorite restaurant in Minneapolis! Incredibly flavorful and fresh.
One of my favorite spots in N.E. The prices are decent. My wife and I order one entree and a bunch of sides to share. This way, we get a little bit if everything.
love the chicken legs, vegetable yellow rice and beans
Wasn't bad at all.. enjoyable plate sizes and tasty chicken. Smoked beef was a little bland but the guacamole and chips were spot on!
