Service was swift the food was good but soft drinks are pricey.

One of my go-to places. Their new bowls are amazing. Try the pork shoulder bowl but replace the spinach with collard greens. Great staff and the food never disappoints!

One of the best restaurants in the area. I ve had multiple things on the menu and love them all!

Food is hearty and filling. Unique Caribbean soulfood and rotisserie-style fair. Service is a little slow, since it's always extremely busy.

I enjoyed the $10 happy hour combo(beer, beans, rice, choice of 2 tacos).

My taco had at least 20 shrimp on it, which felt like winning a mini jackpot since some other places give you a pitiful amount.

The sides of rice and beans /w brisket was also delicious, which was an improvement because last time i came here my beans and brisket were so oversalted that my dog wouldn't eat them when I got home (im sure that was an accident).

They have some mild hot sauces available on tables, but they don't have any super spicy options or condiments like you might expect at a place offering south american food.

Would be cool if they carried a habenero or ghost pepper sauce

Yummy! Loved to creole rubbed chicken. Chicken was moist and skin crispy. Service was decent, and the outdoor patio was perfect for a sunny spring day. Prices are reasonable.

Not sure I would say it's southern food but the food was very tasty. Service was good too!

Insanely good food. Order your meat by the pound with sides that are perfect comfort food. Everything can be ordered family style, with quantities for 1 or 6.

When I die, I would like the pork with red beans and rice to be my last meal. My only wish is that the place was bigger so there was never a wait to get that incredible comfort food in me.

My husband and I ate here on our first date, and have frequented since. The food is inventive and thoughtful and the ambience is romantic and relaxed.

Parking is a bit of a challenge but thge food is so good it's worth it. I would recommend the pulled chicken that comes with a super tasty sauce, beans, and rice. They also offer family size portions that you can take with you.Uber eats and Bite Squad also offer delivery for a fee.

Would totally suggest that everyone tries this place!

I live way too close to this place for comfort, I really will need a gym membership soon. Everything on the menu is amazing, and whatever is in the gravy must be magic. Word of warning, take out is usually 45 minutes so plan accordingly. Otherwise the service is friendly and their patio can t be beat.

This place really is a winner with kids, and the adults who accompany them. Plenty of options, and the kids food is mostly smaller portions of what the adults eat, instead of yet another hamburger or plate of chicken tenders. Everything we ate was really good, and we can't wait to try it in the summer when their patio is open.

Just charming! We went for brunch and I'm Soo happy we did! The food was Soo delicious. I'm pretty sure everything on the menu is amazing! I wish I lived here so I could come here all the time. I loved that almost everything is gluten free and they have many vegetarian options, though the meat is all natural, drug free, and humanely raised if that has any affect on your meat-eating ;-)

Outstanding food, based on Creole cuisine. Just extremely good. Service was quick and pleasant. They also have a wonderful take-out menu. Try at least once. Wonderful selection!!!!

Always a great variety of soul-warming food. I recommend sharing sides and smaller dishes so you each get to have some of 4 or 5 dishes.

You can t go wrong with the Rotisserie Chicken Plate. The green sauce puts the fatty juicy chicken with the creole dry rub over the top!

We love Brasa. Excellent gluten free choices- doesn t feel like I am I need of special treatment- just all around yummy.

Getting grits and guacamole in one place?! I knew I found an excellent new dining spot in the neighborhood! Four of us really enjoyed the excellent guac and sangrias. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the atmosphere was great. Will certainly be back often!

The service was a little slow but it was 6 at night on a weekend. If you go during that time just expect to wait a little. The food and service was very good though. The pulled pork melted In my mouth

Good atmosphere and great food. They don't take reservations, so it's best to go at a less busy time if you can. Usually the wait isn't too bad reguardless, though. The prices are very reasonable.

Service and food is delicioso! I would get 5 stars but a lot of time there's a wait which obviously is a good reflection on the restaurant but it just sucks when you want to be spontaneous and go get really good food at Brasa

I love restaurants in repurposed spaces. The guac is the best I've had in town and every dish I've had besides has been nothing short of delicious. I'm also grateful for Brasa for having Fair state Mirror Universe on tap, which is now one of my favorites.

I've never ordered a bad dish here; indeed, I've been passionate for nearly everything served to me. Brasa's the perfect place for enjoying the weather outdoors, and their beer selection is more than sufficient.

This place has very tasty Southern style cooking that has a healthy appeal geared towards Spanish and Brazilian flavors. Rotisserie chicken and beans, rice and beef as well.
Brasa is well worth the experience just on the outskirts of Downtown Minneapolis.

Definately one if our favs! You can't beat the falovors, the richness , the freshness. Its amaz ing all at a pretty decent price. Especially live the pork w green sauce and roasted yams!! Anything is amazing here though! Can get busy but its worth it!

Cozy little restaurant on Hennepin Avenue, just east of the downtown area. Great rotisserie chicken and pulled pork and sides. The sweet cornbread makes for a great dessert! I look forward to checking this place out again sometime during the warmer months, as it looks like they've got some nice outdoor seating.

I'm so disappointed in myself for not being able to share photos that I didn't take of the mouth watering for we had here. And the waitress was super nice to us all night long! Would definitely recommend if looking for a good BBQ joint in MSP

Smaller than its Saint Paul sister, but the food is top notch; one of my top-5 for the metro-area. Try the creamed spinach w/ jalapeno or the pork and over easy egg bowl!

Excellent customer service, the order arrived very quickly we did not have to wait more than 8 minutes for our order, the pre-orders in the beers are very cheap as is the food. It is a very familiar environment. The food is good and the chips with guacamole are also delicious. Highly recommended!!!

Good rotisserie chicken, the rice and pulled pork were relatively bland. Not a lot of sauce options on the table other than hot pepper vinegar and Frank's.

Always amazing food. Usually we go to the St. Paul one. Both have amazing food and service. This place is a bit smaller but has a munch better outdoor area.

One of our favorite restaurants. Takeout during pandemic was easy and delicous. We saw workers being thoughful and clean. Food was amazing as always.

Amazing comfort food...moist & wonderful cornbread, flavorful rice, beans & greens. Chicken was also good and a large serving came with the meal. Would definitely go back!

Gluten free friendly! It was my first time and it was delicious, good portions, great price! My son also loved it he took big bites of his grilled cheese then played their corn hole!

Kids first time having Brasa and they loved the yucca, beans and even some of the roasted meats. Adults loved the meat entrees and a new side for us of the creme spinach yum!

Gun to my head, it s between here and revival for my favorite casual restaurants. Absolutely love everything about Brasa. I get every meat when I go because I can t pick one over the others. Their homemade vinegar sauce is where it s at. I soak everything in it. Also, try the butterscotch pudding. It s frickin amazing

I don't know what say about Brasa, it's unique but it just doesn't scream come eat with us again. I went to he Hennepin location based on several recommendations and we ended up going family style got some chicken, rice, tapas fries? with a sauce, beans, and a curry chicken with another meal. To me it was really normal, nothing unique. Hate to say it but regular rotisserie chicken from the grocery market would have been the same if not hotter and juicier. I wouldn't rate this place personally as a higher end place, it's definitely just a casual sit down with the word premium thrown in the mix and a very high price tag.

Atmosphere: 4 (Very ordinary, but it did feel different with the color scheme)
Food Quality: 3 (It was something I could buy, nothing unique to travel to)
Service: 3 (Fair, had to ask for things a couple of times)
Cleanliness: 3 (Wasn't terrible, but sticky tables and dirty silverware.)

Overall: 3.25 bump down. $80. Will be back if invite.

Brasa has been added to my list of favorite places to enjoy a great meal! Their space is small, I suggest going during the times of 1-4pm to get a good seat. Also, try the vinegar and pepper sauce it adds great flavor to your food(you can purchase it as well) Enjoy!

My recommendations would be yucca fries and the slow roasted pork. The cheese grits were amazing. Seemed cramped at the table for our group, but the restaurant is pretty small. I don't recommend the cobbler dessert. Mine was slightly dry and little flavor.

If you are looking for a home cooked meal this is the next best thing! everything tastes fresh and they have plenty of dairy,and gluten free options! The staff knew the menu and answered all of the questions I had about food allergies. Everyone was very kind! Their drink selection was surprising. This is the perfect place to go with someone or even by yourself!

Really awesome food! Love the red sauce so much I had to take some home with me. Which I put on literally everything. The chicken is the bomb, melts in your mouth. Can't wait to come back.

Mixed bag, the spicy corn cake was amazing, the cheesy grits were really bland, the beef was glorious, the pulled chicken was bland. Based on the reviews, I expected more, especially considering the cost per pound

Wonderful food... I am visiting the City and I came expecting ordinary but I experienced extraordinary food. The grits and cornbread delicious!!!
