Maybe Brasa had an off day bc the only time I ate there it was just ok. Lots of hype surrounding this establishment but it was a big disappointment :(. Friendly Staff. Nice Atmosphere. Overall I wish it was better!
I've been here two times now and enjoyed the food both times. Highly recommend the Pulled Chicken, Smoked Beef, and Slow Roasted Pork. There is a lot next to the restaurant which often fills up but there is good street parking nearby. This is definitely a good place to find some comfort food staples in Minneapolis.
Love this place. The employees are always incredibly nice, food is priced well, very good quality and delicious. Love the pulled chicken!
One of my favorite places to go! Great worker's always kind and eager to please! Always fresh food. As a vegetarian I love having satisfying and fun choices! I could eat here once a week and it would never get old!
So I met a southerner that said they had the best BBQ ever here in Minneapolis... and it was here at Brasa. I would say that the food here is amazing, but it isn't the stereotypical BBQ. The chicken pieces are my favorites and all the sides are wonderful.
Consistently delicious, I love coming here with family and sharing big plates of the pulled chicken, rotisserie chicken, and the yams with andouille.
Great food and great atmosphere. In the summer time, the outdoor seating is pleasant. Beware of long waits though.
Great food and a comfortable atmosphere. Service is always good and there isn't too much of a wait to get seated.
Always a good decision to eat here. The chicken is fabulous, but so is everything else. Love the corn bread and really all the sides.
The food is excellent but check out your take out order before you leave the parking lot. I was missing a platter and didn t realize it until I was home. Hard to get through on their phones to speak to anyone about it.
I really liked the food here, it was unique and very good and would go back. I had the pulled pork sandwich with chips and asked for a side of their house made buffalo sauce (do it). Just what I needed before a night of drinks!
Delicious! My friend from out of town was impressed.
Very good service, clean place, nice, laid back atmosphere. Diverse crowd of customers. The pineapple ginger ale is a must try even if you don't like ginger. Im not a fan of ginger but this fusion was very good and did not disappoint at all. I enjoyed the slow cooked beef and potato salad. I just wish it had had a little more salt or taste to beef without the sauce. Loved the potato salad texture and consistency of potatoes, again just needed a little more flavor to hold the title of caribbean, creole food. My husband ordered the masa corn cake meal, I liked the bread, cheese and sweet potato, I didn't taste it with the pickled onions. The yellow rice tasted like a box mix and the red beans like refried beans. I'm from the south so I may be a little spoiled in the food department. But I'd go back and eat there. It's worth the money.
The service was exceptional. The presentation was super appetizing. The drink ingredients were so unusual and delicious!
A perfect and most delicious hole in the wall! Everyone in my group couldn t have said enough about there meal. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to the city.
The service was surprisingly slow. The food was decent though.
If you are looking for a nice place to eat, then try this place. They have a wide variety of fresh and tasty food. Services are top notch and prices are so decent.
This is just the best meats, prepared lovingly and deliciously.
Best chicken rotisserie ever I've had! You must try!
Everything done the way it should be. Table service excellent. Food exceptional. Atmosphere perfect.
One of our favorites in the Cities, great for sharing and for groups.
Fantastic food and service. I will be visiting again.
The staff were very friendly. Strange food and a little expensive.
One of the best spots in Minneapolis! Delicious food, friendly staff. It is a great restaurant that prides itself on quality produce and service.
One of the best places I have eaten at!! Make sure you try the yuca, plantains and the pork over easy egg bowl!!!
The best bang for your buck. Food is amazing, service is fast!
The food is constantly fresh and flavorful, staff members gives fantastic service. I really like how clean it is and ambience. Will come visit again.
Enjoyed a family style dinner and it was super fresh, hot, and tasty. Staff was great, service quick and efficient, and the atmosphere lively! Pleasantly surprised by the bar dessert... an actual chocolate bar!
Brasa is located in Northeast Minneapolis. The restaurant has a garage and during the summer they open it up for beautiful inside and outside seating. I've had their pulled chicken multiple times now and I know I should branch out but it is super good! Highly recommended!
Brasa offers a very urban casual environment that meshed together a hint of excitement with a chic & modern interiors, exuding a aura of elegant coziness. The food was usually well prepared, evidently from scratch usually, but may vary at times. However, its relatively higher price makes it less attractive for me to dine here often, though I will most certainly be willing when the opportunity comes up. Recommend it!~
This place is amazing!!! Highly recommend this for anyone but especially groups of 4 or more. You can get a good amount of food family style to share... makes for a fun meal!!
Great Rotisserie chicken and the sweet plantains are delicious! Collard greens could use some salt/vinegar but the texture is there. For $2 more you can keep your pint glass
Flavorful food/Great service
Its my 2nd time coming here and I am never disappointed. I think my 2nd time was actually better than my first. Our server was so friendly and helpful in providing feedback and answerinf our questions so we could make a good decision on what to eat.
The food comes out fast. The food tastes delicious. Lots of flavor. Their Spicy Masa Corn cake is a must order and their pulled meat is always tender and packed with flavor.
Great great great. Smothered chicken is fire. Pretty much everything here is. Staff is great. I usually go to the northest location. So yummy !
Atmosphere & Crowd: open vibrant sit down
Service & Mission: Good service
Food & Drinks: southern style, wish there were a few more craft beer options
Favorites Items: Pork and yuca
Parking: limited in lot but street isn't hard to find usually
The price is a little high but the quality & taste is amazing. I wish they have more things in their menu.
A trip to Brasa is always the same in a good way. The staff is friendly, the wait is minimal, the food comes quickly and it's never bad, and the price is reasonable. It's not fancy, the presentation will not win awards, but it's solid. Recommended.
Really great outdoor seating area. Great food. Try the yuca fries.
Excellent consistent service. They never disappoint in quality of food. Ordered a large order and everything was perfect. Can t recommend their pulled chicken enough!
Our family favorite! A little bit of everything and go home happy.
The food is amazing and the prices are reasonable. Might be my favorite restaurant in the US.
The food was amazing and they are handling covid-19 concerns and regulations very well. Try not to bring large groups right now unless you are willing to split up, but the service was fantastic and I would definitely go again even now.
I love this place, one of my favorite places. And the sides are incredible. Yes, just yes.
The collard greens here taste sooooooooo good! And so is their Maza cake and cornbread. You can't go wrong with whatever you order from here, everything is delicious. Their sangria is pretty tasty as well. I didn't really like their homemade lemonade, it was too sweet for me. They have indoor and patio sitting available.
Brasa is my favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities. I've had everything on the menu at least once. I highly recommend the Pulled Chicken, Crispy Yuca w/ Citrus & Garlic, and the cornbread.
Quick, efficient, good food and a freaking great patio.
Great food and great ambiance! Little corner on the Eastern aide of Minneapolis.
Small dining space. Kinda fun if you don't get stuck next to a loud mouth that cannot modulate the volume of his voice? Had the gumbo; it was decent but nothing to brag about. Plenty of shrimp, had to search for the sausage and eggs? They serve Mexican Coke in a bottle and domestic Diet Coke in a can. The gumbo has a bit of heat and having to ration the Coca Cola while eating; not a fan. I have not tried the market price smoked meats. Perhaps that is the gem of this restaurant? Took a bit to get beverages delivered to the table, food was presented very quick after ordering, and the wait staff were all pleasant.
Brasa is delicious. Collard greens, cornbread, pulled chicken, catfish and yucca are favorites.
Delicious, delicious, delicious. Our party of two ordered a meat plate and two sides, and it was plenty to eat. My personal favorites are the pulled pork, collard greens, fried yucca, yams and fried plantains, but you really can't go wrong. Even something like iced tea is above and beyond good. Service is almost instant, which is helpful because they're busy!
It was wonderful! The food was amazing and when we got there early, they got our food ready as quickly as can be imagined. The food was packaged so our food was warm after a 25 minute drive home. Thanks for a great dinner!
Food and atmosphere was awesome. The space is a little tight but you forget about that once your food arrives. The menu is like 95% gluten free ... Makes this place even greater.
Hip vibe and cool (and small) interior, but the food wasn't great. My slow roasted pork sandwich at $11 was on the small side and didn't have a lot of flavor.
My husband and I visited here for the first time and left with mixed reviews. The service was superb. The wine was superb. The food was "eh". I had the scallops- not a huge steak eater and didn't have non steak options.
Great food, great people in Northeast. Parking is tight.
Ordered special for the day. Pork ribs were nice but had too much fat. I normally order single plates but wanted to try out family style meal. I don't know if it was just this time but as I said the pork ribs had too much fat to it and was too greasy for my taste. I would probably go back to ordering regular stuff from the menu.
We had a great experience at Brasa last night! The food was delicious, and there were options for both the vegetarians and omnivores in our party. I loved the rotisserie chicken with black beans and yellow rice, and the side dishes are small but served separately and easy to share. We ordered 3 entrees and 4 sides, which was perfect for 3 people and left room for dessert! The masa cakes were a particular favorite. Their cocktail selection is limited to sangria and mimosas, but they have a nice variety of beer and wine. The patio is lovely and shady, and service was quick and friendly. The whole place has a nice laid-back vibe. I'd definitely go back!
Great selection for family style sharing or solo eating.
Everyone knows this place rocks in terms of the food. This review is about the people. I called to ask if they could work with me on a special plan to pre-pay for the dinner of 2 very special, saintly people we wanted to send to Brasa. Jordan took my call and was amazing, and had me follow up with the GM, Alissa, the following day to confirm. They were both kind, helpful and up for doing something special for our special people. Thank you, Team Brasa! We love you!
Some of the best good I've ever had. Absolutely delicious and the service was great.
One of our go-to spots. Always solid never disappoints!
The chicken, red beans and rice and cornbread are off the chain.
One of the best place for southern comfort food in Minneapolis
All of the food was great, the server was very friendly and knowledgeable, and the place over all had a vacation vibe to it. The whole meal was delicious, but the yuca fries were particularly good and the spicy creamed spinach was unreal. I was wary of it because I can't usually handle very spicy food, but it was just a hint of heat at the end of the bite and absolutely phenomenal.
