Great food. Good price. Can get crowded. Might have a 30 min. wait.
Excellent food! Enjoyed the cheesy grits and pepper chicken especially.
Staff is very welcoming! Loved the option to eat inside or outside. Had the smothered pulled chicken with yellow rice-they let me leave off the beans so that was awesome. The poblano pepper cream sauce was insanely good. Check out this little place next time you're in town.
Always great food. Great vibe, sharable portions, and good tap list!
The food is REALLY good!! I've tried a couple things on the menu and all of it was good.
DELICIOUS AF!!! Had their rotisserie chicken with peas & rice. Delicious fried sweet plantains. Chips & guacamole were decent. Really great food, fun staff.
I love Brasa! Honestly have never had a bad experience. Even when they're getting slammed at dinner time you can tell they really work together well. They are very "all hands on deck", the food quality never suffers, and the wait is always shorter than expected. I've celebrated special occasions here, had chill nights with the girls, and come for lunch when hangovers are in full swing. Love this spot!
I have such a hard time deciding what to get here. you really can't go wrong. the catering for my husbands birthday included the slow roasted pork which was so popular that it was a good thing i got more than what had been recommended per serving!
The rotisserie chicken was amazing and so was my salad. The atmosphere waa cozt and clean
Visited this place on a recommendation and was immediately blown away. Very cute digs, some of the best cocktails I've ever had and a great selection of super tasty southern food. The shrimp and grits two ways was really something special with grits good enough to make any southern grammy roll over in her grave at what the northerners are doing.
Really great food and service. I had the smoked beef plate with rice and peas: it was all very tasty. My companion s chorizo and potato bowl was also amazing.
Their beer selection, while not large, included some really fine stuff on tap.
one of my favorite restaurants in the twin cities. easily. never had a less than fantastic meal.
We had Brasa cater our groom's dinner. They have amazing food and were great to work with! Definitely recommend!
One of my fav restaurants!! Always amazing food. Highly recommend!
I always get the pulled pork with the green sauce on the side
I like everything on the whole menu
Food was great and very cool place, unfortunately there was one singular staff member who ruined the dining experience. He wore a bandana and had a man bun with a 5 o'clock shadow. He really liked exerting his nominal amount of power over the customer. It was surreal to see someone act in such a way.
Good food. Great patio. The food wasn't quite as exceptional as I remember from previous times. But still quite good.
I brought my niece to Spoon and Stable for her high school graduation celebration. We sat at the chef's counter and had a wonderful time!!! The food was amazing and it felt like we were part of a "TV" cooking show. Everything was perfect and she even asked if we could come back for her college graduation and order champagne!
Ate there for the first time last Saturday afternoon, and I won't be going back. Lukewarm creamed chicken, diminutive servings of salad and cornbread... Hair in my salad. Disgusting.
Good food that is well made and clearly tries to locally source everything. A little pricey IMO, but if you want something local it s a good choice. Speciality is chicken and pulled pork with the option of several sides including vegetarian black beans and some non-veg red beans. Have to order rice separately from the beans
Great food and good service. Only downside was dry rice. Would dine there again.
The meals and service were above my expectations. We absolutely loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. Excellent place to take the family out for dinner.
The restaurants portion size is only slightly North of Tapas-sized and I'm not a fan of walking away from a restaurant paying a large bill and being hungry. Good flavors but I saw no value.
Great attention ... communication in Spanish and English ...
Brasa is such a great option for catering for large groups! I used them for my wedding several years ago (2012), and now I work for a wedding venue and recommend them to all my couples! Such yummy food at a fair price point. Their staff is quick to reply & easy to work with!
Fantastic place for amazing food. It's small and doesn't take reservations or call-aheads so the wait can be long, but you can always call to see what the wait is before you come.
Parking lot holds about 5 cars but there is plenty of street parking nearby.
We spent $53 for two, incl. drinks, two meats, several sides, and 18% tip. Very reasonable for the quality!
I love the food, love the atmosphere! The food is excellent for those with food sensitivities. The indoor dining room is a little small, but once the outdoor patio opens seating is less of a challenge. Highly recommend!
Cool open space with fantastic food. Plates are great for sharing or, if hungry enough, eating alone. And there are plenty of great side options including yuca!
One of my favorite restaurants in the area. Delicious, unique food that's always fresh. Definitely worth the visit!
Best shrimp in town. Slow-roasted pork also a signature dish. Pro tip: order take out and have a beer by the fire while you wait. Your food will typically come up in minutes.
Food is always fantastic, as is the hot pepper vinegar we brought home with us. We had to wait nearly 45 minutes for a table, but they had an outside bar and cornhole. Everyone who worked there was so accommodating and nice.
The pork and over easy egg was great. They make really good corn bread, but the corn cake was amazing. I would go back just for those.
This is a Twin Cities' staple. Rotisserie everything, unique sides, and all things familiar with a Brasa twist. Head here for amazing food and beer. Patio in summer is a must. Yum.
Delicious but always crowded. Plan to wait. Parking is very limited - if you can, please carpool, walk, or take transit.
Amazing meat and sides. And some of the best guacamole I've ever had. Though this location is small, its worth the wait!
Delicious smoked BBQ beef and rotisserie chicken. The St Paul location also has excellent fried catfish.
I always get the pulled chicken with rice and beans. I go back all the time. They do have a wait though during busy hours, so plan to wait!
Oh man... Rotisserie chicken... <drop the mike>
Okay, there is more, just because all the sides are bomb too.
The only bummer is that they don't take reservations and it is often a long wait, especially for big groups. But still... Rotisserie chicken, I love you.
Food was delicious (per usual) and the service was great! I was with a group of five, which is an awkward number to seat at this location, but they made it work like it was no big deal. For food I ordered the slow roasted pork plate with black beans and yellow rice. A classic that can never go wrong ... especially with an order of the green sauce! I also l, along with most at my table, ordered a side corn bread. So sweet and the honey butter is to die for! Love, love, love! Can't wait for patio season to enjoy these good eats outdoors.
This place is amazing! One of my favorite comfort food spots.
Succulent, perfectly prepared rotisserie chicken, and a great array of sides. The value is excellent, and explains why there are always such long lines to get in. Always look forward to returning.
While parking is tough. The food is worth the walk/hassles. Its all been quite tasty served by friendly staff. Friend plantains are amazing. But then so is pretty much everything else here. Chicken is my go-to but the pulled pork is really good too. My major problem is figuring out what to order.
Delicious food from the chips and guac, pork sandwich or chocolate cake. Everything was tasty and fresh. Would definitely go there again!
The best meal in the Twin Cities! I love the rice & beans. And the COLLARD GREENS!!!!
One of my favorite places to eat in the Twin Cities. I recommend going during off hours or ordering to go so you don't have to wait for a table.
Fantastic place. Been here twice and they didn't disappoint in those two times.
It takes quite a bit of time to grab waiter's attention and order food, but once ordered the food comes pretty quick. Great choices with a lot of side dishes.
Been here now 4x while on business trips to Minneapolis. Stellar mussels, scallops, and their corned beef & cabbage is great too. Friendly wait staff and bartenders. Very convenient location, especially if you're staying at a downtown hotel. Wish they had a better local brewery selection. Overall, great especially for the business traveler.
The food makes you happy. The people are great too.
Best soul food in the Twin Cities! Everything on the menu is great and the staff was wonderful as well.
Always the best. Whole family loves it, almost everything is gluten free, and every single thing is delicious.
Really high quality soul food.... really enjoyed the fried catfish, the pork sandwich AMAZING, and fried yucca so tasty!!!
Great food! We went here on a date night and we were blown away with the place. They have separate menus for most dietary needs. Food was fresh, full of flavor, and great prices. Order ala carte or get a meal. Either way, you get a great amount for the price. Service was awesome as staff was knowledgeable and cared about your experience. Making this a regular spot for date night!
One of my favorite restaurants, period. The food is amazing - I don't think of myself as looking Cuban food, but I love their whole menu.
Nothing bad on the menu, i love to try the specials.
Great meats and sides. We love the cornbread muffins. The green sauce is outstanding and delicious on the meats - we tend to order extra green sauce!
Sides can have a little heat to them, but aren't too spicy.
Their catering is well run and was a hit.
They have good options for gluten free diets also.
The rotisserie chicken and pepper vinegar sauce is ridiculously good. You can't go wrong. As a GA transplant it's the best/ authentic sweet tea around
Great food and friendly service, well worth the wait.
The sides are always fantastic lots of vegetables and lots of flavor. But we were most impressed with head chef Zach who went above and beyond to ensure we had a good dining experience. He noticed our table was wobbly when walking through the restaurant and personally came over with a wedge. He also noticed us picking at our yuka fries for the warm ones (most on the plate were not) and came over with a fresh plate. He observed all this while chopping and prepping food! Please give this guy a raise!
Brasa is seriously one of my favorite places in the entire twin cities. Their creamy gravy chicken is to die for, ten out of ten.
Some great food here, expect a wait during normal busy hours
If I could, I would give 6 stars. Brasa catered my sister's wedding this past weekend. The food was beyond amazing and the service was top notch. There were options for all types of food meeting various dietary needs of the guests. We had vegetarians, vegans, lactose intolerance, even one guest recovering from surgery with limited options was able to have an amazing meal. The guests raved about the food. The menu spelled out each dish clearly. The food was served family style and options included rice, beans, vegetable curry, cucumber salad, roasted chicken, and more. AND IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! The staff had a smile on their faces the entire time. It could not have been a smoother process. Thank you, Brasa, I'm so impressed.
Brasa is always amazing. We bring all of our out of town guests here. Lots of gluten free options. My faves are the greens and the cheesy grits!
Excellent high-quality food! Cute atmosphere but really it's all about the quality and taste of food. Absolutely incredible!
Some of the best food per dollar spent in the Twin Cities!
Wow, fantastic Creole food. Local owners and spectacular service. Don't let the outside appearance scare you away; the food is phenomenal!
If you are a foodie, or looking for something different to try; you have to go to BRASA. My fav was the Pulled pork, Rotisserie chicken with a pint of Tiger Pale Ale. Due to the great service and food I will be returning for more!
Excellent food. Absolutely great service. Great value for your dollars spent. Family style is the absolute best.
I used to LOVE going here. We'd mostly do the in-house thing at the St Paul location, and get take-out in Minneapolis. And both were awesome with the only exception of this year, the sweet plantains have been horrible every time. Which is a real bummer since that's one of the biggest draws for us. But still everything was super yummy.
Last time we went to the Mpls restaurant, the entire meal was a huge let down. The pork lacked flavor and was greasy, the plantains of course were again woody and tasteless even after they brought out a new batch. The rest of my party weren't impressed with their food either, and we decided not to go back again.
Not sure what happened.
To small of place to eat a lot of noise server very rude
