I don t even know where to begin. I called on Jul...

I don t even know where to begin. I called on July 2nd and scheduled a drop off for my vehicle for July 8th thought that was a while but it was a holiday week so I was ok with it. Then I show up on July 8th and the person who helped me on the phone Harry never put me in the system and asked why I was there and who is was. Then he calls and tells me the warranty will not cover my radio due to mileage exceeding warranty. I understand and ask how much it will cost and how much time it will take. Harry again tells me two days and about $500. By July 19th 5 days later still no call from Harry so I called and he didn t know who I was or what car I had and put me on hold for 10 minutes to come back and say they are finishing it up and I can pick up my car on Saturday July 20th at 1:00. Then I receive a call from Mike who leaves a message saying they never got the part aka they didn t order it and I car would be available on Tuesday. Then get this I get a call on Monday saying my car is ready and my total is $773.85. I ask for a manager and they of course tell me there isn t one. Avoid this place at all costs if not you will regret it. They make you wait three times past what they said and charge you an extra $273.85 more than originally quoted. I am going to contact them in the morning but I doubt that they will do anything. I have always purchased Ford but after my last few experiences with Ford I can guarantee I will be switching unless they can provide something for my trouble and return the money they stole.

The best car buying experience I've had. Exceptional service. I went to Bowditch to purchase a car and was sure that I would not be able to. Not only did they take my trade in for more than I thought, I was able to get a brand new car with no money down. Great you say! My credit was not the best, another local big dealership wouldnt work with me and I had negative equity in my trade in. If your looking for a car go to Bowditch you will not be disappointed.

They are very polite people, but they don t take into consideration anyone s time. I had an appointment at 7:45am, in which they took my car back on time. It s now 9:30am and I haven t heard anything... & this is just for a inspection. I can only imagine if I was getting real work done to my vehicle. They move slow here, I suggest taking your vehicle elsewhere if you want your car treated with some priority.

Bowditch Ford service department employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. I usually drop off my car the night before for what ever service I need. They take care of my automotive needs in a timely manner the next day. Usually have my car back in the morning.

Bowditch was recommended to us by a friend and I am so grateful we listened! We worked with David and Chris and they was just amazing! David answered all of our questions and helped us talk through which car we liked the best! He made sure we were all set up in our new cars before we drove way. Both David and Chris made us feel comfortable and let us take our time! David was very patient with me while I tried to make a decision! We will return to Bowditch when we buy our next car!

I really enjoyed my experience with Bowditch Ford. I was basically in and out of the dealership quickly. I have purchased a vehicle from a previous dealership and was there for hours. The salesman was very friendly and found the vehicle I wanted. I will definitely return to this dealership in the future.

Do not use their service department for anything! They are so incompetent they can't even remember to fill the motor with oil when you take your car in for an oil change! They totalled my 2006 f350 and then charge me an additional $1000 for a transmission repair that ended up exceeding the value of the truck. The head of the service department also has a pretty filthy mouth that I hope he doesn't kiss his mother with!

This was my first time buying with Bowditch. The process was quick and easy. I didn't have a sales person trying to sell me extra stuff I didn't want. I was able to get the deal I was looking for the car I wanted and the car I was selling. It helps that they had the Mustang I wanted too.

Made an appointment to have my explorer front end checked after returning from Florida where I ran over a piece of road debri. I waited until the last minute to need to get my car inspected and the great Team at Bowditch Ford worked me in plus found out my car had a recall on it that I did not know about.. They fixed it that day as well!!
I didn't buy my 2014 Ford Fiesta from Bowditch Ford but will be bringing it there for all future maintenance /inspections!!

I would recommend Bowditch in a heartbeat for existing Ford vehicle owners but would not recommend Ford to consumers looking to purchase a new vehicle due to ongoing problems I have had with two different 2013 Ford Edges that I have owned in the last three years. Al, in the service department was a pleasure to deal with.

Let me start by saying, I never do this, but I am so angry at the dishonesty of this dealership. When you work hard to find a vehicle you like and you think you have found a dealership you can partner with and trust..DON'T choose Bowditch. The GM, Chris VanDenheede lied straight to our face and said that he was not able to give us the more than fair Kelly Blue Book because they would have to sell it at auction because the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado Excellent (mileage 30948) condition truck had a lift and Bowditch's owner told the GM that he could not give the more than fair Kelly Blue Book price. Less than 4 days later and guess what? Yep, truck is listed on Bowditch website for what we told them they could sell it for, but they assured us they could not because the truck was a liability. Wow, Bowditch-- what a liability!
So disappointed we ever chose to do business with you. Never again and I hope this stops others from having the same experience.

I do not own a Ford, but I did use their detailing...

I do not own a Ford, but I did use their detailing services for a deep clean of my car. My spouse had used them before for the same detailing service on our other car and it came out beautiful, so I thought I could trust them to do a high quality job, especially considering the price of the detailing ($169.00). However, I was extremely disappointed not only with detailing, which seemed half complete and lazily done, but also the rude customer service which left me leaving feeling almost ashamed to have brought the car in at 0700, despite being told the Friday prior it was perfectly fine for me to drop it off at the dealership first thing Monday morning. I will not be using their services again.

I have always had timely work done at a fair price on my two ford Fusions, and also previous Fords I purchased from Bowditch Ford in Newport News. The latest visit was done very rapidly, and the staff were very nice. I would recommend Bowditch to anyone wanting a good sales and service dealer.

Fantastic service from start to finish. I actually spoke with three dealerships. Two in Williamsburg and Bowditch. Needless to say, I walked out of the other two and drove to Bowditch Ford after speaking with Chris on the phone. Chris set me up with David and he was expecting me when my wife and I arrived. The vehicle was prepped and ready for us to test drive and David was very friendly and accommodating. Quite a difference from the Toyota dealership in Williamsburg. We were actually leaning to Toyota and ended up walking out. We just didn't feel valued. Wow, what a difference at Bowditch. Dennis helped us finish out our contract details and as we were driving away with our new Ford Ranger my wife and I spoke on how over the years , we have walked away from Toyotas on three separate occasions for lack of service and bought a Ford. I have always been a fan of Ford vehicles and have for the most part been treated very well. Bowditch far surpassed my experience I have had at any other dealerships anywhere in the country. I will be purchasing a car for my son within the next year and you can bet I will be buying it at Bowditch.

Too large a company with too many moving parts to always get things right. Have to give them credit for reaching out after your visit, asking if all went well. When it doesn't, kudos to their customer service rep Kimberly Niles. A wonderful ambassador for Bowditch who will work her hardest to problem solve.

I waited awhile before I decided what my review would be. The only reason I decided not a one star because the other employees not involved where nice and my sales guy you could tell her tried... I want to start off by saying I have pretty good credit and I had a 2,500 down payment and a 2011 v6 accord with lower miles and in great condition I was trading in. I wish I would have done more research before I went here but I didn't really know what to expect.

So I got in here and I'm young so I felt like I was ignored a bit at first.. But I eventually got help and they tried showing me used cars etc.. I said no I'm here for the new mustang. It seemed like they all kind of chuckled at me etc. So expect that. But anyways I test drove it and asked could I drive it for a day or so to make sure I loved it (5 year commitment) they didnt want to but eventually said yes...I bought the car which they tried to say I needed more down and that the could only give me 6,000 for my Honda. I was confused because I knew my hondas blue book value was at 18,000 at the time. And 2,500 was a lot to put down... my credit was right at 700 or it may have been right under so I was really not understanding, my car I had I had payed off early no missed payments...

After getting frustrated the guy tried to go behind my back and talk my husband into making me get a ford escape. my husband told the guy she loves her honda the only way she's giving that up is for the mustang.

The sales guy seemed frustrated , eventually we left and I got a phone call they would take the 2,500 down and they would talk about the honda.
They said they could still only do 6,000 for the honda because the check engine light came on I called bs but they showed me . I knew someone had to have done something to it. I was pretty pissed. I think I ended up getting 6,000 for it in trade in. Smh

OK so I come back 2days later because the part where u step in the car was popped out. When I pulled in some service guy started yelling at me saying I didn't have an appt. But I had just talked to the body man on the phone who told me you pull in. I can't remeber what he said but it turned into a yelling match. In the end he tried saying sorry but I was to upset to accept it.

lastly they don't give u a very long warranty , there was 1 free oil change and no free inspections. I came in because of an issue with the tire 4 days after purchase and they tried to charge me for a plug but I had literally only driving the car 100 miles including the test drive for two days before I bought it..she said there was a small leak and I must have done something but the funny thing was the tire was low on air the whole time and I mentioned how does a brand new car have a low air his response on sometimes they come in like that....

Anyway I went to hall ford to get an oil change after this. They are AWESOME I WISH I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT FROM THEM. They gave me a free inspection while I was there for no reason . they called me back to see how my car was after my oil change etc. So they will be my recommendation if your lookong for a ford dealer otherwise be careful messing around with Bowditch.

Great experience. We asked them to wash and wax the car while they had it. I didn't recognize it when I went to pick it up. I actually looked at the license plate to make sure it was my car. Wow great job guys.

Traded in my 2014 Jeep for a 2016 F-150. Service was excellent and entire staff was very helpful. Everyone was enthusiastic and very open in terms of communication. I would say that the staff wanted to get to know who I was and what I wanted and established a relationship versus just trying to sell me a vehicle. This made the entire vehicle buying experience enjoyable. Linda P. the sales consultant I was working with, did terrific job in finding a truck I wanted at the price I wanted. Not once did she try to pressure me or "pull a fast one" that some other car dealers try in order to get a sale. John B., also did a great job in helping facilitate the sale and getting the paperwork in order. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend staff/Dealer at Bowditch if you're looking for a new vehicle.

I called on a Tuesday and requested an appointment for the following Saturday. I dropped my truck off at 9 and I was able to get a state inspection, oil change, and tire rotation done on Saturday. Very convenient. Also, I received a phone call from service department on the following Wednesday asking me how my service was. I know that if I had an issue it would have been addressed immediately. Very pleased with service from Bowditch Ford and service advisor Al Cusano. For the past few weeks I've had an annoying problem of my tire pressure sensor warning light activating after about 15 minutes of driving my Ford Fusion Hybrid. I first took it to another Ford dealership much closer to where I live. They could not identify what was causing the problem and suggested it had to do something with my cell phone interfering with the signals from the tire pressure sensors to the master sensor. So this afternoon I brought it over to Bowditch. Al and the technicians there correctly diagnosed that the tire pressure sensor for the right rear tire had gone bad and they replaced it. Problem solved. Repair price was reasonable. Very glad I brought the Fusion to Bowditch to fix the problem with my car!

Was told it had to be messing up 100% of the time for them to be able to tell what's wrong. Well, if that's the case it will already be broken.
Go somewhere else that offers lifetime warranty's and loaner cars.

Absolutely Horrible place. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. They are a bunch of liars.
I was told via email this: "I'm sure that my sales manager can get some what close to that number but he's not going to work a deal until you come in test drive the vehicle and know you like it. I just spoke to him again and he stated that we aren't going to lose your business over pricing and is willing to work with you when you come in Saturday." So I came in and they offered me 5-6k over what I was asking for. I wouldn't even be made if they just said right off the bat that they wouldn't be able to meet my price. I even asked them from the start, "can you get any where close to this price if not just let me know now so we dont waste each others time". And then they had the nerve to email me the next day asking me how things were. I asked via email why did you lie to me. Then I get this response, "I do apologize for any miscommunication, I did say that my manager would get some what close to that number. I won't contact you anymore if you wish but we did figure out how the other dealer quoted you such a low price which was including all the rebates that you may or may not qualify for and took out the destination fee. Once you do go in to take advantage of their "low" price they will add back in any rebates that you don't qualify for as well as the destination fee. If you have any further questions feel free to email again."so 5 to 6k is close I guess in their mind. I strongly recommend to not go to this dealer.

Had an appointment to have my transmission looked at and it took them 3 weeks to get the troubleshooting done over all with the repair it took just one day short of a month to get my vehicle back, Communication with service writer was almost non-existent would call to find out the status of the vehicle and he would have to get back with me sometimes that day or a couple days later. Never got a call from the Service writer to up date me on the status until the it was ready for pickup. At times I would call and get an answering machine and would leave a message to call me back with the status of vehicle and never get a call back I would end up calling two or three days later and when I did get ahold of someone same thing let us check on that and call you back. Over all happy with the repair technician did a good job. Just wasn't happy with the communication

From their fair assessment of the value of my trade, to their patience with the time I wanted to take to make a decision, to their professionalism and knowledge, the entire Bowditch team - everyone I interacted with - was first class. Horrible experience taking my truck to get service. I'd called to make an appointment and when I got there I was finally greeted after waiting for 10 mins while the employees chatted away. Then because I didn't remember who made my appointment I was treated as if I couldn't get any help by the supervisor name Al. He had the worst customer service I ever seen. I was told to wait while a gentleman got another car for someone who had been waiting and he took 25minutes to do so. After that I left and still no one talked to me and asked why I left.

My husband and I went and I have no income and Bowditch assured me they wouldn't run my credit but just run it enough to see if mine would help my husbands 2 days later I get an alert and they pulled my credit 6 times! Wonderful service and I loved watching my car being worked on while I relaxed and ate my breakfast.
