Great course. Prompt cart service and best appetizers.
Great course. Prompt cart service and best appetizers.
My family had a wonderful thanksgiving holiday here. Plenty for the children to do and explore, food was great, and our casita was darling. Above all the staff was warm and patient. Thank you we will come back.
This place is just OK. A lot of the people that worked there were very nice but the ones that weren t were pretty bad. Pool service was bad- one lady for the entire pool during busy times and there s just no excuse for that. She was working hard but one person can t do that by themselves. The property was nice but if you like going out in Scottsdale keep in mind this is VERY far from Scottsdale. Like $55-75 lyft one way. Good for the older crowd.
I also left something (a running shoe!) in the room and when I called the next day to ask about it, they were very unhelpful. Clearly housekeeping had thrown it away, which is very annoying since I called about it within 24 hours and spent over $1000 at this resort for my birthday weekend. Obviously I shouldn t have left it but I don t think it s too much to ask to hold onto an object for a few days after staying in a room I paid almost $400/night for.
Beautiful resort and an extremely low rate for what you get.
Love this place. Amazing grounds and friendly /helpful service
Relaxing, Peaceful. Pretty. Staff very courteous, polite, nice and helpful. Great food so far. Nice room.
This was our first time at Boulders Resort and I have to admit that we were a little out of our comfort zone, having stayed at another resort for the past 10+ years. We went with Boulders because their pricing was great and their amenities looked amazing online. I am happy to say that they did not disappoint! We were...
A great place to fall off the map and truly enjoy some quiet time and be pampered all at once. The casitas are well appointed. I would strongly suggest arriving during the day so that you become familiar with the layout.
The SPA BURNED MY FACE!! I posted pictures on Yelp, Facebook and also Tripadvisor. BE FOREWARNED, I don't recommend getting facials at this place unless you want to risk looking how I did and the horror and misery of the healing process.
Beautiful mountain setting with golf course and water features. Rooms are large enough to feel like an apartment. Summer rates are in low $100s, but in-season rates top out at about $700 a day.
Very nice resort on the edge of Scottsdale. Just enough outside the city to actually see the stars at night. The pool is nice and cool, with a pretty sweet waterfall. Was able to take some nice photos of the boulders, a charcuterie board my girlfriend made, and a timelapse of the boulders, you can even see the stars!
My girlfriend and I visited the resort over Labor Day weekend. The resort was not packed, that was nice given the current pandemic. However, it seemed that they were lacking in several areas of service and upkeep of the resort.
1) The spa was closed due to COVID, HOWEVER the pools remained open. Why? Wouldn't the pool be just as bad? What logic is this? Masks were not even enforced, so this makes no sense to me at all.
2) Room service was not available due to COVID... Restaurant take-out was still available, and pool-side drinks and food was also available. How is room service not okay, but take out is, let alone being served at the pool?
3) Given points 1 and 2, it does not make much sense that they insist on using their taxi/shuttle service. There is no parking near the rooms, you have to walk or be ferried via golf carts. This isn't really a complaint per se, just like to point out the ridiculousness of what constitutes a "safe" COVID precaution whereas others are not-safe.
Seems like you pick and choose what is open and what is closed. What institutes something be closed yet allow it in another form? Is one really safer than the other? Everyone at this resort has already decided the risk was worth it to come out. Wear a mask, disinfect, observe good cleaning and sanitation and re-open every amenity for the guests.
Guess it is no surprise that maintenance on the property has taken a back seat given the current pandemic.
There were multiple pathway lights that were out on the golf cart paths and rather a lack of lights in important / critical areas. The stairway/path system from the North Casitas to the pool after dark is downright dangerous. There were lights that were out and the moon wasn't bright enough to light the way up or down some sets of steps.
My girlfriend tripped twice during our stay. She tripped on the descent of the steps from the North Casitas to the pool. Then she tripped on the steps outside of the hot tub. Luckily, she's young and agile enough to catch herself/brace the impact and she was not hurt, just startled.
There is very minimal lighting which I understand bodes to the ambiance of the resort and the boulders. However, they really could use dim low/non intrusive lights in more important areas for the safety of their guests.
My recommendation: If you are of older age take a flashlight if you plan to leave your room past dark. There were several areas lacking lights and there are even lights that are burnt out and have not been changed. I would hate for anyone to fall and take a hard blow, quick way to ruin your weekend getaway.
See my photos: Steps at the pool/hot tub at night with and without flash; Room is bright at 7am, shutters don't keep light out; excellent boulder view.
Good service pleasant location. Walkable grounds, well maintained.
Enjoyed my stay and will be back soon. Very relaxing and staff is friendly and accommodating!
For a resort trying to pose a 5 stars the staff does not treat you like it's a 5 star. First off a high end spa should never over book to the point where there is no room to sit by the pool before or after your service, part of the reason for visiting a high end spa is to escape the B.S. and not think about lines or crowds of people. I asked the pool staff if they could keep an eye out for an available lounger while we had lunch and they basically said that is not our job, we spoke to the manager and they said it's first come, first serve. Secondly for a recent renovation it looks nothing like any other 5 star resort I've stayed it, in fact it didn't even look renovated. Kind of dated actually.
Lastly we brought a large bag and there was no locker space at all available. When I asked the staff in the spa it was the same reaction we got by the pool staff and they basically acted as if it was not there problem. Not the service you would receive at a true 5 star resort, everybody that works at a high end resort should make it third duty to insure the guest is satisfied, what is the point in paying premium prices for sub-standard service. I recommend the Omni or Four Seasons over the boulders.
The only reason I give it two starts is cause the view is amazing. Four Seasons troon has just as spectacular views however and they actually treat you like a high end resort.
We recently went here for a spa day a few weeks before our wedding. I had a great message and an awesome lunch with a couple mojitos. The Boulders has phenomenal scenery and is incredibly tranquil. I left feeling very relaxed.
It was the first week of December and we found out that we hadnt planned our vacation. Work had been hectic and we really didnt have the time to make any plans. I looked all over the country and good deals were hard to find. We wanted a relatively warm place where we could completely relax yet be able to keep our 5 year old engaged. After a lot of searching, the choice was Arizona- specifically the Scottsdale area. The temperature was manageable during the day at high 60s and low 70s and there were a lot of good resorts to stay. We were fortunate to get a reservation at The Boulders in Carefree, AZ, not too far from Scottsdale.
The Boulders is a unique resort in that it is completely embedded in the desert. If it were not for the glass windows in the cottages, one would have a hard time finding them. The resort completely blends with its surroundings offering the visitor a remarkable experience of the landscape unfettered by ugly buildings and such.
The main building and lobby are located a mile from the entry point. You drive through the desert with huge million years old boulders on either sides that cut an imposing figure. The lobby is warm and welcoming. We parked our car there and were then driven on a golf cart to our casita. Parking is allowed only at the main building and access to individual cottages is by foot, bike or the golf carts. This allows the campus to stay true to its landscape.
The casitas themselves are very Southwestern with a warm and inviting ambiance. Internet is available, both wired and wireless and free. The bathtubs and showers are generously sized. The restroom is a tad smaller than I would have liked but given that the overall area is large, it was not too bad.
Every casita is surrounded by rocks and mid to large saguaro cacti that make it one of a kind. We spent much of our time just walking around the huge resort which boasts among other things two top rated golf courses, tennis courts and a swimming pool under the shadow or huge boulders. A small pond right outside the main building completes the classic picture.
The resort like every other in the area, boasts a spa. The spa at the Boulders resort resides in a very unique building with great views of the landscape. It has a pool to itself and a spa cafe that offers interesting healthy choices. Note that the spa building, its pool and cafe are not open to children under 16.There is a bike rental service also available in the spa building which we could not make use of because they didnt offer kid bike rentals.
The valet service to take you back and to the main building was fabulous. Everyone was nice, courteous and engaging. Service overall was excellent. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. We wanted a microwave oven in our room. I placed a call as soon as I landed and 15 minutes later, an oven was brought in.
I could go on and on but suffice to say, our stay at The Boulders was utterly memorable. The silent nights under the desert sky and the wake up calls from the chirping birds was just the icing on the cake. I highly recommend a stay at The Boulders.
Great place to unwind! Great staff, the casitas are really nice and comfy.
My fiance and I just finished a weekend stay cation here for my birthday for 2 nights and had the best time. This is one of the prettiest resorts we've stayed at around the Scottsdale area. The views of the boulders, mountains, and desert are beautiful. They do a great job making sure everything is clean and safe during the pandemic. We stayed in a King sonoran view casita which was very nice. Every employee we interacted with went above and beyond for the guests and were always so friendly. The golf course was in immaculate condition and one of the most gorgeous golf courses I've seen. The only downside is the spa is not open right now and a few of the restaurants, but Spotted Donkey Cantina is open with great food & margaritas and we enjoyed our breakfast at the golf course out on the patio. We will definitely be back when the entire resort amenities are available, especially the spa, because we've heard nothing but great things.
It was not a good experience and I would question any ratings that are at or above 3 stars.
I booked a recent weekend (late June 2015) as a "staycation" since I'd only been to the Boulders twice - for meetings. Understanding that there were renovations occurring (and the fact that I had been in the hotel industry and endured that firsthand) I knew that some things would be out of sorts. I had no problem with it.
However, upon checking in (Friday at 3:30 pm) I was told our room was not ready. The Concierge said she would call my cell when it was. We decided to go into the restaurant for a drink/food. There was no AC (on a 110 degree day and we were not informed that it had been that way all day). The staff was audibly complaining about what was going on. Food took 30 minutes (just for one quesadilla). At 4:45, still no call regarding our room. I finally approached the front desk and miraculously they said it was ready.
Next day, on three occasions we were walking in the heat to or from our room. Bellmen with empty carts came by and did not offer a ride. Went to the spa (which is about 2/3 of a mile from our room) for a pre-arranged spa day. We requested a shuttle for our return and waited inside the spa at the door (in the AC). After about 10 minutes the shuttle arrived, quickly opened the door and let a person on who was standing outside - and the driver took off while we were walking toward it - in plain view. Even the young lady behind the desk seemed embarrassed when I mentioned it. Another was called, but prior to its arrival, a bell cart came by and dropped someone off. We flagged him down for a ride but managed to get an attitude as if it was an imposition.
All of this was discussed in private with the MOD, so as not to cause any issues with any other guests. As an ex-hotelier I have a soft spot for others in the industry, especially when a property is going through a renovation. It's tough. I get it. I did not want or expect anything in return for notifying management, just to point out these issues so that the resort would not lose future business. The MOD agreed fully that this was unacceptable, was grateful for the feedback and offered to have my wife and I "come back" after renovations. She said that the GM's assistant would call me on Monday to discuss.
I never received a call and it has been well over a week since our stay, so apparently, it is beneath senior staff to respond to even a constructive criticism.
A simple response based what the MOD said would have changed this rating. Again, I was never looking for anything other than the acknowledgement that the issues were heard. There are far better experiences have been had at other properties in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area - where the staff shows that they are appreciative of your business.
Very beautiful grounds. Rooms are spacious and have amazing views. Customer service was outstanding. A wonderful resort in a beautiful setting.
Needs substantial upgrading. Looks old and outdated.
Amazing getaway. 5 star all the way. Service and facilities way above par.
Good place to get away. They have golf courses, tennis courts, pools, restaurants, and a SPA and fitness center. The accommodations are amazing. My only critique is they need to have more signs to help identify the nature path better.
Most beautiful landscape. Very relaxing. The pool is a bit dated and could be larger. Rooms are very spread out. Very nice for space, but you need take golf carts everywhere (including to get to your car). The hotel offers complimentary rides 24 hours. Remember everything when you leave your room bc it takes a bit to get back.
The location and views are amazing. Having individual Casitas definitely helped us feel safe staying here. The food at the grill was excellent both for dinner and breakfast. Walking the beautiful desert grounds and seeing all the wildlife was amazing. The front staff were very nice as was our server at the Grill Daniel. There are a number of issues we noticed to prevent us from getting to the 5. There are clearly some upkeep issues, jacuzzi with missing tiles, sliding door to our bathroom we had to struggle to close and one of our bellhops seemed put out that we asked for a cart ride in the morning to get from the Casita to the grill. Despite this we would come back again for another staycation
Golf was great and the resort is beautiful. Haven't stayed there.
I visited with family for two nights and almost everyone was very friendly except when we were checking out our bellman Aaron was extremely rude and wouldn't carry our bags to our car and remained in the cart while we unloaded it to the car.
The restaurants had a very limited selection, maybe 20 items, which didn't even include a single steak. Pretty much nothing on there website is available in the means of activities to do with the exception of golf which they blame on previous guest injuries or COVID (without telling you ahead of time even when you call and ask). Only one restaurant was open during part of our stay until the last day with two of them open still with a limited selection (very, very few items).
This is a 5 star resort. They should act like it. Golf is good. Room is nice! If you like big spiders its even better!
Wonderful resort and it's amazing they can manage so well on a small staff. Great views, great service, and good food. Right now prices are discounted making this adventure affordable. No crowds and very safe practices.
Easily in my top 3 favorite golf courses of the world.
This resort with a 5-star rated 1300 acres is seen from a distance as if it were a mountain. This is considered to be Arizona's largest hotel. The rooms of this resort are quite luxurious, which have made the luxurious use of wood even better. The special thing is that there are three bedroom villas available in this hotel. Apart from this, spa and tennis in the resort as well as golf facilities make this hotel different from others.
My wife and I stayed there the weekend of July 4th. We had one of the best times in Phoenix we have ever had. The food at Boulders was absolutely fantastic. We played golf during the heat of the day, the club house made sure we had cool towels, lots of water and beer. The necessities. The Curio stand alone Casita was fantastic. Roomy and comfortable. Always stayed cool, had our balcony right next to one of the huge boulders. The evening sunsets were beautiful. Really looking forward to taking the family next time. Going to save our money for the 3-bedroom Hacienda. Can't wait. Thanks to everyone at Boulders Resort. You guys are the BEST!
A 10 for everything! Excellent food and extremely friendly service! This was true 5 star treatment!
I booked the Executive suite 2 months in advance. I picked this specific room for the details and decor in this room. I searched through several different hotels and resorts and chose this room, not the resort itself. I was told on Friday that I would be able to check in at 3pm. On Saturday we called while on our way and were told we could not check in until 4pm. When we got there, they told us the room was unavailable! They "upgraded us to a villa. The decor was not anything similar to what I had chosen. I had to cancel my plans for that evening because of this. There was no bathtub which I was expecting. The outlets in the main bathroom did not work. The cable did not work. The WiFi did not work. We had to drive half a mile to get to the pool! I paid way more than I have ever paid for a hotel room, expecting the Executive suite. I was highly disappointed. I was also informed when we got there that they would hold $150 from my bank account in addition to the $390 We had already paid for this room we hadn't chosen. I am told today that the money will not be returned to my account for at least another 2 days. That will be 5 days after we stayed. We need this money to pay bills today! I am extremely unhappy and will never stay there again. We were not compensated anything for all this trouble. I was extremely stressed out the entire stay, when this was supposed to be a relaxing birthday weekend.
Wonderful place to spend the day! Spa and pool we're exquisite!
Fantastic staff, beautifully maintained desert environment. Staying during the summer gets you a 5 star resort for 3 star prices. Wonderful deal. The Spotted Donkey restaurant nearby is absolutely awesome and has free golf cart transport there and back.
Beautiful scenery. Great friendly stuff. Private helo pad lol. Great
I found a lot of road runners, lizards, owls, and quails at the resort. When we arrived we got escorted with a golf cart and it was so much fun
Cassitas provide wonderful views, scenery, and peaceful privacy. World Class golf course I enjoyed it more than TROON NORTH & GRAYHAWK. I like the remote Carefree location. Less hot. Amazing star watching and views. Close to charming Cave Creek. BELL STAFF was awesome. That said, the distance between Cassitas and parking lot and main lobby is very inconvenient. Great for couples getaway and golf trips. Not good for families. Still glad we stayed there as it was a great outdoor experience.
Magical hotel. 30 min from downtown Scottsdale sorrounded by amazing nature and views. Amazing rooms and amazing looking resort with a great atmosphere. Golf carts will take you anywhere around.
Awesome facility with loads of people who make you feel at home. Highly recommended
I stayed here this past weekend with my wife and let me tell you it was one of the best weekends we have had in a while. It was so quiet and peaceful. A lot of wild rabbits and prairie dogs, they were so cute. Our room was really clean and tidy. It was also spacious. The bathroom was so pretty. Chase, the pool server, made my afternoon at the pool wonderful. The only down part was when we went to have dinner at The Grill, the hostess was not really attentive and made us wait a bit when they weren t really busy and then proceeded to tell us to sit in the couch area. A couple of minutes later she came back and told us they weren t accepting walk ins. Could ve told us that from the beginning. Bellmen were very nice and talkative. One who drove the shuttle to the restaurant and back was kind of rude. Other than that, this place is amazing. Will stay again.
Secluded. Beautiful views. Staff very helpful. It is out of the way though.
Absolutely love this resort! It is definitely worth it even being so far out from the airport. The staff is truly phenomenal (only had one grumpy driver) I love that you are transported everywhere by golf cart or van and that gratuity is included in the resort fee, keeping it very simple. The rooms especially the Casitas are stellar, very spacious, clean, and comfortable. I stayed in N 264 and loved it!! Can't wait to stay here again in the future!!!
This wedding venue is absolutely breathtaking and the team was amazing. Stephen was all over, helping guests upload their cars, giving me directions on about five different occasions, and delivering items to the bride and groom's room. He was so kind and very helpful. I couldn't have made it to each location of the wedding on time if it wasn't for me. He even stopped on his way out (after clocking out) to help me find my car. Erin was also perfect. She helped us stay on schedule, drove us to the best portrait locations, and always wore a smile! I can't wait to photograph a wedding here again!
The South course at Boulders Resort offers a fabulous golfing and scenic experience. The thrill of desert golf is wonderfully reflected here in the layout's 18 top-quality holes. While Boulder's North is the resort's original offering, many people believe the South to be the most captivating, with holes that go right up into the higher boulder formations.
Amazing location and setting. Very friendly, anticipatory staff and a good spa facility. Standard rooms are spacious and inviting, but not overwhelming. Only thing keeping this from 5 stars are a couple details that seem to be rough around the edges, but nothing that would stop us from coming back here again.
EXTREMELY overpriced at ~200+. Much better values to be found.
Beautiful desert charm. Excellent customer service. Food selection is ok, very pricey. Spa treatment was great. Salt water pools were a nice touch. Didn't get to golf, but course looked in great shape.
We were there about three four years ago and everything was GREAT.... I read on here they said about the rooms not being clean enough ..they were all clean and EVERYTHING NICE---we had room service dinner... it's all NICE--- and GOOD and also ate some of the RESTAURANTS there and everything was GOOD and NICE--- they also have an umbrella in the closet which I thought was THOUGHTFUL and I've never seen that before & I was IMPRESSED... and also you get the newspaper in the morning AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING AT THE BOULDERS RESORT
When we drove into the resort. We knew it was gonna be an amazing stay. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. But what really stands out the most is the incredible staff. From the front desk agents, guest services, restaurant servers, and the bellman. They're the one that leverage the resort. Other then that I would definitely recommend and we'll be coming back soon. Thank you Everyone.
Lovely all around. Beautiful views.
Rooms have gigantic bathrooms and nice balconies.
Don't expect to drive around the property.
Golf courses are stunning and somewhat terrifying if your terrible.
Plenty of paths and pools.
So, all in all, I planned on taking these issues up with the concierge while I was at the hotel. However, after I requested a bell hop for check out and ended up waiting for half a hour as the concierge never notified the bell hop that I had requested someone... I decided not to waste any further time with them.
All in all, it's a very pleasant atmosphere and could be a great room. However, they seriously need to step up on the cleanliness factor.
Overall, throughout my room there were multiple dead bugs lying upon the ledge right above the bed, along with a hung wood decoration that was absolutely covered in dust and filth, just as they lamps right next to the bed were covered in dust and dirt. Checked out the patio, lovely. Empty beer can and an empty pack of smokes lying in the dirt right in the front of the patio and the light outside doesn't work (spent some time fiddling around and the light bulb was unscrewed for whatever reason).
Serious pest problems in the rooms, too. I understand it's a rural environment and some bugs and critters are expected, but this was an insane amount.
Bathroom, meh. Random stains on the stonework in there, hole in the bathroom shower stall wall. There were also various other holes in the same wall as well as toilet stall wall with strange looking black strings coming out of it, have no idea what these were, but most of them were growing through holes in the grout..
Then, in no particular order, are some other issues that were discovered; hole in the wall by the door with paint peeling back from it, dirty patio door windows (would've been nice to enjoy the view from the room... not just the water spots and dirt on the windows), smudges on light switches, dusty tv screen, black smudge on the bench by the fireplace that looked a lot like a foot print, stains on the wall by the bed along with scuffs, dusty closet, hair left on the bath tub from the previous guest (noticed as soon as we got in the room, could not of been one of us), glass for the mini bar was chipped in places, volume for the tv did not work at all with the remote or on the TV, made in China stickers left on the decor, as well as the screen door for the patio would not close.
Also, pray you don't get a first floor room. The upstairs neighbor woke both of us up at 4 AM due to them just walking. Not only can you hear the footsteps, but since there are wooden beams on the roof, those seem to squeak as well when the person above you walks. . Anything they seemed to move was extremely loud in our room. I caught a small audio portion on my phone using voice memo and not only did it register on my phone and capture it, but the amplitude of the wave was the same as when I compared it to myself talking with voice memo on from approx 5' away. Meaning that the noise level from above was just as loud as me talking at normal volume from a few feet away.
The last thing that overall left a foul taste in the mouth, was the concierge that I requested the bell hop from. Requested this at 11:43 AM via the text service. Concierge responded back at 11:44 AM saying they will be there shortly and asked if I self parked. Responded back, was told to expect someone momentarily. 23 minutes later, text them again for an eta. 4 min response time from someone this time to answer the question for the eta, making me believe they did not know since the previous responses all came back within a minute. Was told someone was on their way. Arrived shortly thereafter and he informed me that no one had notified them we had requested services until after I inquired into the ETA and sincerely apologized.
The only saving grace that this place had was the evening bell hop and the bell hop in the morning. They both were amazing and very respectful. I know the evening one was name Brandon, unfortunately did not catch the name of the AM one. However, both of these men did a job well done. They were the only reason I was somewhat satisfied with this stay and gave it even two stars.
Beautiful hotel, really looked after us. Can't recommended enough
The Boulders is a beautiful property and we decided to stay there for the great summer rate and the convenience considering we live right down the road. Unfortunately, the casita we received, number 360 was not worthy for anyone to stay in. We called two times to let the front desk know that there was a terrible smell in the room. It seemed to increase with the air being on. It was so strong and it was not addressed until the morning we left. Also, upon arrival our refrigerator had a can of pop that exploded in it so we could not use it and the door in the bathroom did not close all the way. There were also no chairs on the patio, and finally our Keurig was not working. When i called the front desk the woman did not seem very concerned and she sent people to check out the smell after i called twice about it. She also told me if i wanted to take care of this issue, I needed to leave the room and actually come to the front desk to discuss it. Which is so odd. Fortunately, a man working at the front desk tried to smooth things out at the end of our trip taking care of a bar tab but it was too late by this time. The room was beautiful but so much was wrong with it it was really too bad.
I will say the the pools were beautiful, and the bell desk, house cleaning, and pool servers were also great. It us just too bad our room and some of the staff did not seem resort quality. If something goes wrong especially how badly it did for us, the woman at the front desk should have fixed it early and unfortunately we won't be staying there again.
Great views, friendly staff, loved that we didn't have to request the car it was at the front waiting on us.
My husband and I booked 5 rooms for 4 nights at this location. WE were very impressed with the property and the walking trails. Most of the employees were nice especially at the spa.
Here is our issue-lack of a manager available for guest and no response when we requested one.
3 of the rooms had problems the first night.
Our room that we were staying had a rat chew it's way into our room the first night in the middle of the night.
We called the front desk and were relocated around 1 am. Another room where my father in law was staying had the smoke alarm go off in the middle of the night. Another room had a plumbing issue where water leaked all of the bathroom.
When I went to the front desk after our first night to ask for another room key for our new room that we were moved to, I asked the hotel employee for a manager. The employee told me that the hotel manager would give me a call. After all day I decided to call myself to follow up and there was not a hotel manager available so I spoke to the front desk supervisor. After speaking to the front desk supervisor, I was told that a $75 room credit would be extended. I responded by asking the employee to still ask her manager to call me.
Long story put short when I called the next day I still could not reach a manager and we never received the $75 room credit. I followed up a week after check out and was told that it would be credited to our credit card. This never happened. I feel like the lack of management response to a rat making it's way into our room the first night on this property ruined the experience for us. I also noticed the the review I wrote on Yelp was removed yesterday. I do not recommend this hotel for one reason- the current management. Seems to not have anyone in charge to speak to if you do have a problem and there is an obvious lack of empathy when the experience doesn't go well.
Absolutely amazing place and with 5 star hospitality
More than just a gorgeous resort, Boulders is a beautiful place to host your wedding or event. I was so impressed with their incredible team, ensuring each detail was perfect and the guests were taken care of. Erin kept us running on time and she knew all the best photo-worthy locations, giving our couple exactly what they were dreaming of. I can't say enough GREAT things about this beautiful destination!
Beautiful Oasis in the desert! Friendly staff and great food!
Love their spa. Always amazing time. Staff are very friendly.
Recently stayed here as is was nice I was over charged for my stay. When trying to call to correct these charges I was hung up on twice and now have not received any returned phone calls.
Amazing, you won't be disappointed. Just go and relax.
Great resort! Beautiful casitas, grounds, golf course, walking/hiking trails, and spa. Restaurants were a little disappointing, but there are plenty of options in the area.
We are a family of four with two small kids. They would not allow all of us to stay in one Casita, so we had to book two separate rooms. After four days of stay, when we re checking out we noticed $35 resort fee per room x 4 (One for us, and one for the kids). We asked for an assistance if they can waive one of the rooms fees because It was just the kids, and due to the weather none of us use the resorts or anything else anyway. Unfortunately They couldn t help us at front desk.
Truly 5 star. Spacious, well kept rooms, fine dining, large spa, and amazing scenery. The staff is wonderful. This hotel is managed very well.
I took my daughter for a massage which she enjoyed, and I signed the receipt for the massage charges and gratuity only to be charged $50 extra for a day pass for myself! I left the property and had specifically discussed the fact that I DID NOT WANT a day pass with the spa personnel. I have not received a refund! Be sure that you check your receipts and watch out for sneaky charges. Also, even though my daughter enjoyed her massage she did mention that the property seems run down and tired - cracks in walls chipped paint, stained walls and carpeting.
beautiful course with unique rock formations. Had a great time playing here even though we got caught in a brief rain and hail storm.
We liked it a lot. A bit dated and a little out of the way in Carefree. The spa needs a refresh as well. The staff were great and the restaurants were very good.
This is one of my favorite places to go to with friends and just chill out by the pool all day! Me and about 8 other friends went to have fun by the pool. No one bothered us until it was 1am! Good place to crash.
Great for corporate golf or large weddings, poor choice for independent travelers. Beautiful but soul-less
