Very beautiful, yet old, hotel in the center of Boston. It is in a prime location & spans across 3 streets. Unfortunately, one of the housekeepers decided to steal my expensive hair products. Called the hotel only for them to take my number and call me back . Well, 4 days later and I still had not received a call back. Therefore, I called again. The security department notified me that the previous person I spoke with wrote nothing down. They said I had to create what was called an incident report . So, I went through the long, arduous process of creating one. They said they would call me back, and took my name and number yet again. About a week later with no call, I decided to call again. The lady told me no one was available for me to speak with, and literally told me to wait about 20 minutes and call again. So, I kindly asked her to go and find her manager. After speaking with the manager, I was informed yet another problem. He said that it has been passed along to the investigator and it may take several months to even have my incident report seen. This is a large hassle and I doubt I will even get my items back, much less their money refunded. It s quite unfortunate, as this hotel is actually very unique.

Charging an obligatory "resort fee" that isn't reflected in your advertised pricing is annoying and misleading. Wifi and free printing of a boarding pass is not an excuse for misleading pricing. Otherwise no complaints. Staff helpful and professional.

The hotel is gorgeous, from he lovely library space for working quietly near the lobby, to the conference rooms. The staff was friendly and helfpul. I ate lunch at the bar and restaurant in the lobby - shared the tomato basil flatbread and had tomato bisque which were both delicious, especially the roasted tomatoes. My room was great save for the size, it was small and cramped, but that's acceptable in the city. I was staying alone for work, but I imagine sharing the room with another would be a tight squeeze.

Nice hotel centrally located. It's handicapped accessible with parking by valet or there's plenty of garages with a short roll. Ive stayed here 2 times and both have been smooth and relatively barrier free. My last stay on new year's Eve they did not have any accessible rooms available and the cozy suit we got was barely big enough to enter, so they quickly switched us to a regular king room with a standard bathroom which was plenty large enough for my manual wheelchair. The lobby bar was crazy expensive. We each had one drink and an appetizer and the bill was $65!!

The location was great, and the staff was nice. The rooms are extremely tight and tiny. We ordered takeout one evening and we literally had no where to eat as a couple. The room only had one night stand because there was literally no room for a second one because that'swhere the door swung open. The bathroom was tiny and I had no choice but to put my makeup on the toilet or the floor to get ready. Additionally, we chose this hotel since it was pet friendly and I called to make reservations but they never put that in the system and ended up calling my cell after we stepped out to get dinner and the dog was barking at security lingering by the room door. We had to take time out of our stay to fill out a pet waiver. It seems as if they need better training in booking reservations and customer service since the front desk staff could not answer simple questions about their pet policies or procedures. I wouldn't stay here again it was uncomfortably cramped for what you're paying.

The room I was on for a work event was very spacious and beautiful. I would recommend if someone needed to use a room with space. Getting to the hotel was easy because it is close to the Boston trains.

Loved the renovation in the lobby. It has the perfect balance of classic and modern. The lobby bar is open and inviting, I look forward to going back. I will need to stay in a room next time to see how they look now!

A very nice hotel that does the little things right. Rooms are impeccable and nicely appointed. The service staff are all very cordial. The location is great. I would likely stay here again.

Don't really get the bad reviews. Staff is on point, lobby is super nice, location is perfect. Here is why I gave four stars... Rooms are dated. Hear they are doing a renovation. Room was fine though. Small but clean and nice. The Irish bar is ok. It's a bar. Get a beer. Food is a b- The lobby bar is pretty good and reasonable. But your in Boston!! Why are you at the hotel bar?!? Jump on the super close Arlington T and go anywhere! I liked this hotel a lot. At $180 a night and this location...who can argue?

I've been to this hotel twice and I can't wait to come back! The interior of the hotel is a eye catcher and just all around well put together. The rooms are a little less put together for the price but still very nice. 8/10 would recommend if looking for a hotel in Boston!

Clean rooms. Beautiful lobby nice room. Smaller bed than expected. Paid for king. Ended up with a queen and told that it a "European King" so smaller than Kings in the US. Also who doesn't have free WiFi for guests? This hotel.

I travel quite a bit. This is one of the worst hotel I've been. Old, the rooms are unkempt. The smallest bathroom I've seen, actually, smaller than french hostel's bathrooms. Horrible doors. The housekeeping was very poor. I would not recommend it.

Beware of the "cosy" room bait and switch scam where they sell a standard room then set you up in a broom closet, add the cost of expensive wifi and $50 bucks to park. Might as well stay at the Four Seasons because it is less expensive.

Crappy place, doesn't have anything.
The hotel decides to fix the water pipe at a peak time so not only no hot water, but also no cold water, we cannot even flush the toilet. Very bad hotel, don't bother book, I will give 0 star if I can.

I arrived at 7:45pm, and there wasn't a room ready for me, which wasn't appreciated after flying from London as it was almost 1am in my mind.

Other than that, the room was okay, but very small. The location was great and for only one night it was a good enough place to rest my head.

We booked two rooms as a small group, my husband went earlier than us to decorate one of the rooms as a surprise. He was told he could only get into one because the other wasn't ready. The one that wasn't ready was being cleaned. In the other the sheets were up on the bed (not obviously dirty to someone not looking closely) so he decorated the room. We got there, and first noticed that the bathroom had not been cleaned in the slightest and was obviously a mess with hair and mess, not fresh anything. We put in a call to have it cleaned. Shortly after because of this (thinking how could they clean the room and miss the bathroom entirely) we examined the bed a bit more, and noticed that it too had not been cleaned or changed. One person was so grossed out that she had had her head on the pillow, she literally got sick in the bathroom vomiting. We then of course had someone in to clean the whole room while we went to dinner. When we were back from dinner (the room had been cleaned) another person came to clean the room. She did not speak much English and was very nice but it was clear that she was there to clean the room as if we had not booked it and I believe the original person that should have cleaned the room before we even arrived. She did not know it had been done already per our call to have it done. I assume she thought the room was not going to be occupied that night? Either way there was a clear mess up because she should have cleaned it many hours earlier.
Next we were locked out. We left again for a few hours that evening, and when we returned later that night the room key did not work. Thankfully one person had stayed in and let us in.
Next morning when we went to try and leave, the keys still not working, myself and another person went to complain about all we had experienced looking for some sort of compensation. I spoke with person #1 at the desk, and he said that the best he could do is to give us 4 breakfast vouchers to eat. Okay, well we took what we could get. It was about 10:45 AM. So, we packed up the rest of our stuff so that when we were done we could just grab it all and go, and went to eat breakfast, this was shortly after 11 AM. We were told our vouchers would not longer work because it was now lunch, and our vouchers were for breakfast. Okay. Had desk person #1 not thought of this? We went back. Desk person #1 was occupied so we went to desk person #2. We told him we went to try and use the voucher but it was not lunch, could we please have lunch vouchers. And told him our story. He must have said "this is awkward" upwards of 25 times, even just talking to himself. At this point we also mentioned the room keys that didn't work. He said that they didn't work because we had been checked out already. What? They started not working the evening before, so essentially we had been checked out the same day we checked in. Ridiculous! And how/why? And to top it off he said he could re-activate them for us but it would only last 15 minutes before they would deactivate again (enough time to get our stuff out to leave). At this point we didn't want to stay for lunch and couldn't really unless we had a room full of decorations next to us (we had our cars at valet parking and couldn't get them and eat lunch both) so I asked could he do anything else we can't stay for lunch. He went into the back room to talk to his boss and ended up taking 50 dollars off the tab. This was literally the best he could do. And then smiled at me in a way that said no one cares have a nice day.
I could not imagine a worse experience, you can't even make this stuff up. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! What a disgrace, beyond unacceptable.

My husband and I and our mothers just had a fabulous stay at Boston Park Plaza! The lobby decor is gorgeous and I love the convenience of the Starbucks downstairs. The rooms look very modern and the beds are pretty comfortable. Everything was extremely clean. Upon arrival to our room, I requested a fridge if possible. A kind woman came to our room and stated she didn't think a fridge would fit but asked if we would like a bigger room that already has one. I said yes please! To our surprise we were given keys to a corner room suite with a couch, fridge, and gorgeous view of Boston. I wish I knew that woman's name, but thanks to her and the kind people at BPP, we had an even more special stay!

This was my wife and my second time staying at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel. We love how everything feels extravagant when you stay. Make sure you're not hungry after 11pm because there's nothing to eat within a ten minute walking radius except for vending machine snacks.

The traffic there is horrible. Not very clear signs for valet parking.
Staff at the front desk were polite and friendly.
Got to our room and it is the smallest room I have ever seen.
Bathroom was not very clean. Tub and mirror ledge had black hairs on them. The toilet was not so clean.
The tv remote was not working and it did not take long before they gave us a new one.
The AC unit rattles through the night making it hard to have a good night sleep. Due to the room being so small there is no entryway and making the door exposed to the light from the hallway. We had to put towels on the floor and jam it in the door on the top so it would cover most of the side crack to prevent the light flashing in my eyes.
This hotel for this price., I expected more and would not come back.

The hotel was a good experience. It was located in an excellent area, and we enjoyed our stay here. We booked the hotel for four people, and the room was spacious. The hotel staff was nice and friendly. The adjacent restaurants excellent. Valet staff was also courteous and Timely. The only complaint I would have is that it is a little confusing where to go to valet your vehicle since there is Construction.

My recent stay at this hotel was amazing mainly because of its exceptional gym. However, everything else was simply average. In fact, upon entering my room for the first time, it was dirty. The bed sheets had stains, and the bathroom (particularly the toilet bowl) was ostensibly unkempt.

Great location. East to walk to various places. Comfy, cozy spaces in lobby area to sit and work, visit, read, etc. Great food during conference. Everyone generally friendly, except gift shop personnel.

Loved the look of the hotel, and everything inside the room worked well. I especially liked the Chromecast connected TV's, where it was easy to stream Netflix. The location is great as well.

Nice hotel. Nice staff. Overall was a good experience but wasn't too happy for the separate facility fee charged for WiFi, gym etc., while checking out. We should have been informed while checking in.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I have stayed at a lot of hotels. Parking is $68 dollars a night. Something they should probably tell you. And if you decide trying to park using their alternative option, good luck trying to find the lobby! Endless turns and constructions sites will force you to turn back and find alternative routes. Your patience will surely be tested. Now let s get to the worst part of the stay. The hotel will literally nickel and dime you like you wouldn t believe!!! They charge for WiFi and have unreasonably expensive vending machines! The rooms are essentially made for dwarfs, hope you are not above 5 feet tall. I would rather solve a rubric vide blindfolded than figure out the shower. Also, the concierge had a very condescending attitude towards me! She really hurt my feelings. She has a name but I do not recall because she had a strange one. There was also a gay pride parade because it was June 9th (6/9). They were completely incompetent in notifying customers of this event. All of the streets necessary for getting to the hotel were absolutely blocked off for the duration of the parade. I could not get into my room for seven hours. I was forced to check in at 11 pm, five hours after I planned to. I had to return my rental car and walk nearly two miles to the hotel AT NIGHT!!! A heads up would have been greatly appreciated. But unfortunately they are absolutely pathetic.

Location is great for any visitor who wants to walk the Freedom Trail. Boston Commons is around the corner, parking garage is only half a block away, and downtown with its many eateries and points of interest is within walking distance. Best place to stay. Beautiful hotel, easy check in, rooms are well appointed and adequate. If you want to use the foldout sleeper couch it s a tight fit, but still possible.

Buyer beware hotel not as advertised booked this room for Valentines day but not as advertised upon check-in the place was a dusty construction zone really took away the whole feel of a romantic night. When I checked In I instantly complained by saying why didn't they tell anyone it was a mess. The answer I received was management and ownership did not want to let anyone know.Bad consumer relations on a weekend for romance. The person I checked in with told me she would let management know.I call to find out no such thing was ever noted.I told her I would not stay here if I knew the hotel was under construction. The room was like a closet the mattress was broken and worn out. They changed our room after 3 calls to the front desk. Why??? did it take so much effort???The photos on line are a total misrepresentation of what you are getting they overcharge for what they are providing. The reservations manager was as cold and non-understanding not even an apology!!She did not make any type of offer or resolution I suggest hiring someone who knows how to serve the general public. Review readers beware large company's falsify good reviews quite often...There is no way anyone would have enjoyed the stay...
