It's a nice little hamster cage with no AC. Our AC wasn't working ..so there solution was to give us a box fan from the 1970s to match the updates in there room.

If you have trouble sleeping thru your alarm clock. Then don't fear! Because they have an amazing emergency alarm system that will go off and make you evacuate. Gets the blood going .

this was the second time we stayed there and unfortunately it was extremely subpar of our expectations. it started with an issue first with our reservation (which was handled poorly by staff), then the room was not what we were expecting, it was tiny with no view. we ordered room service which was decent. all things considered we decided it will not be our next outing go to.

We came off a cruise ship to stay at Boston Park Plaza, and our cabin on the cruise ship was larger than the king size standard room at the hotel. The bathroom was so small I could not even towel off and had to open the door.

If your interested in a good experience, pay for the upgraded room fee and get a window view. Otherwise the other room we saw was tiny, barely could stand up between toilet and shower. Parking is public garage around the corner for $40 a day or $50 if your interested in valet. For the price, it's disappointing that WiFi is not including, cost $13 a night. And be prepared to pay for bellman for getting your luggage when leaving, because they did not allow us to take our own luggage down- claimed it was Union. Hmmm? Fraud??. But otherwise we have to say it over all was nice. We also had to leave aburptly for an emergency and the hotel had no problem helping us or refunding the lost day. Worth a visit.

I mean this place is a super famous Boston landmark and the services I mean just top-notch but I absolutely hate the new design I miss when it just looked like old school nostalgic Boston, the new design look like someone just went to the craziest design firm and said oh yeah that looks good that will bring the kids in #nope

Location very close to the subway station a walks distance away from other sights and restaurants. Although my room was on the small side, it was updated and clean. Staff at the hotel were friendly. Overall great experience staying here. I would highly recommend it.

Though the location is ideal, this hotel is in need of a major overhaul. Everything from top to bottom is dated. The room had old furniture, old carpeting, old window treatments, very old lamps and fixtures, peeling wallpaper and moldings with 100+ coats of paint. The two "double" beds had those old fashioned dust ruffles on the box springs which sagged and gapped from old age and didn't match the carpeting. They had so few outlets in the room, they had to stick in a couple of old fashioned extension cords to even get power to the writing desk in the room. Only problem was after plugging in the desk lamp, coffee maker and clock radio there was no outlets left for a single computer or a cell phone. Coming into the room, the wall switches for the lights didn't work so we had to stumble in the dark to find a lamp to switch on manually. The bathroom was of equal quality and vintage, excepting the cheap plastic shower tile surround and plastic tub. Even the most budget conscious hotels and motels have switched from straight shower curtain rods to an outwardly bowed one so you have a bit more room to move around and so that the shower curtain doesn't stick to you while taking a shower. But not here! No mini bars or fridge, no microwave, no morning paper. And no one asked how our stay was on check out. Well you get the idea. With so many other excellent hotels in the Boston area, I would personally not stay here again.

The hotel was very nice and centrally located. We were able to get to just about everything we wanted to do while in the city. The staff was very friendly. The room and bathroom were much smaller than anywhere we have stayed before, but I'm assuming this comes with the part of the country we were in.

The location is great, there were always people around to help, and the room was nice, albeit kinda old looking. I think the value was average, but when you take into account parking it's pretty crappy to pay 40 bucks for parkign when you just dropped 100 on the room...

Rooms were clean, but bedsheets were not changed. Bathroom was not cleaned. I called down and they had someone come right up to do it. It was a very fast response. Also, the boy at the front desk was very accommodating and friendly. He was the face of hospitality. Beds were comfortable. Hotel is beautiful. Enjoying my stay so far.

While the general appearance and operation of the hotel was okay, they decided to conduct LOUD construction (power drilling in cement) right below our 5th floor suite. The first morning they started at 7:00am so we decided to get up and start the day early. The second morning they started at 5AM!!!! The hotel offered to move us to a quieter location, but by then the damage was done to our sleep. What insane hotel manager approves construction work to begin at 5 and 7AM? Get a clue!!! I will never stay here again and will highly recommend others stay away just on principle.

Bad points:

Bad points:
- Heating that works badly.
- The shower head is not fixed properly.
- Quality of the room in non adequation with the announced services (painting of the ceiling which is detached, non-functional heating, arrangement of the room.

Good points:
- Helpful staff.
- The location of the hotel, close to everything.
- Great restaurants around (Davios)

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Very modern, the staff is great, there's a restaurant, Starbucks, bar, and gift shop in the lobby. The hotel is located downtown so you're close to lots of restaurants and shops in the area. My only complaint is although the rooms are beautiful and modern; they're so small! I couldn't imagine coming here with a significant other bc the rooms would not fit two people. Other than that, wonderful hotel!

Best gym I've ever seen in a hotel! Better than a lot of the military gyms I've been to on base.
Hotel is good too. Hate the pedestal type bathroom sinks in the rooms though. At least put a shelf wide enough to hold a standard toiletries bag.

I love staying in this hotel, it's in a great location close to good food options (anything you want is within a 15 minute walk). The lobby bar is a great meeting place for drinks before you go out on the town and the staff is always friendly.

They have a full sized gym downstairs that can not be beat! It was once a membership gym that went out of business and the Park Plaza took it over. Has anything and everything you could need in a gym.

The one downside to this hotel is you can get a room that is pretty small and basic. I'm alone when I travel for work, but if I was there with someone else I can see how it would be a problem.

The location of the hotel is great as it is almost in the centre of Boston with easy access to the metro systems, shops and local tourist attractions. The rooms are clean, modern looking and equipped with a TV that has good channels and the shower facilities are great.

The only gripe I have with the hotel is that WiFi is not free. This is not a big deal for myself as I can use by mobile data as normal without extra charge when in a different country but this might be an inconvenience for those that do not have access to this plan.

Smallest room ever and $650/night. So small, they hang the phone on the wall, because the night table is too small. Coffee maker is basically on the floor in the carpet dander. GOUGE!!! PS. They have 8 elevators, but only operate 2... it takes 5 minutes to get to lobby lobby. Thrifty of then, saving all that electricity. I clearly won t be back.

nice hotel but the cleaning staff should be more careful... they make all kinds of noises even very early in the morning!
they woke me up very early and for a long time i couldn't sleep because they speak very loud and in the rooms they make loud noises absolutely unnecessary for cleaning!
it's amazing how loud they speak with absolutely no respect for the guests!

Restaurant was excellent, providing good food and excellent service (not cheap though!).

As you enter the lobby of the Boston Park Plaza Hotel you feel like you are walking through the perfume section of Macy's during Christmas. The smell of cologne or perfume in the hotel lobby was very overwhelming. I think this could be toned down a bit.
We booked this through priceline and got the cozy queen room for a really good price. I would note that the cozy queen is a very small room. Good for a single occupant but not a couple. We upgraded to a superior queen, a bigger room than the cozy but not by much.

The room was very clean and did not have that old hotel smell to it which was great. The air conditioner kept the room very well cooled.
The bathrooms are very small in these rooms with very little to almost no counter space. The soap they leave for guest is of high quality and easy on the skin.
We had no floor mat towel but we left a note for housekeeping along with the tip and they left extra towels and a floor mat the next day.
The bed was very comfortable and comforter bed sheets, and pillows were also very high quality, soft and cool to the touch. I would note the pillows we had in our room were not firm and this did make it difficult on the neck, but we managed by stacking two.

The hotel is about a mile or two walk from any convenience store and the lobby store charges $3 for 16 ounces of water (we drink lots of water) so I highly suggest you purchase some before arriving.

I would recommend this hotel to others.

The location was great. It's <10 minutes walk to a bunch of restaurants, Boston Commons and Park with all of its tours, etc., plus an AMC 19 theater, etc. It was super easy for taxis and Ubers to pick you up along the curb in front of the main door. I thought the hotel, its lobby, and even the rooms looked nice too.

However, even considering the time of year and location, the price was exorbitant, ESPECIALLY for the size of room. The foot of the bed is literally about 12" from the opposite wall, which is also where the wall-mounted TV is. So if you need to cross from one side of the room to the other, you have to shuffle sideways through the small gap while hunching your head and shoulders down at an angle to avoid hitting the TV frame. Awkward! If you are obese or infirm, I don't know if you could manage it. There's no closet, either. You get some weird shelving unit / half-wardrobe thing. I made it work since it was just me, but I don't see how two people would both be able to hang up their clothes in it.

The bathroom is even worse. There's only a narrow little ledge to set your toiletries on, and my mid-sized shaving kit bag kept falling off. When you bend over the sink (e.g. when trying to rinse your face) it's not easy to avoid hitting that ledge while keeping your face above the sink so water will fall into it. Awkward.

Then worst of all there's the shower. It's SO narrow! I've seen bigger showers in RVs. I'm 6"0" 225 lbs., and when I stood with my back to the shower head, with my left shoulder pressed up against the tile, my right shoulder, hip, and side were IN the shower curtain, which stuck to me the entire time. But without turning completely sideways there was zero room to move away from the curtain. Just the action of trying to wash and rinse with the curtain in the way caused water to splash and spray under the curtain outside of the shower. By the time I finished a shower, the entire bathroom floor was flooded. I had to use my second bath towel just to mop up the water. It's a good thing I was solo for this stay, because we would've been short a towel otherwise, and there's absolutely NO way for two people to even attempt to get ready at the same time in the miniature closet stall they call a bathroom. One small thing they could do to help would be to NOT use a curtain, but instead put a sliding door in on the outside of the shower. That would give you 4-6" more room, which would've made all the difference in the world when trying to shower.

The front desk provided other people free water and didn't offer any. I called the front desk asking for water, they transferred me to room service charging me $15 for two small bottles of water, $4 deliver charge. They should have told me I could come down and get some water, but they didn't. The guy told me free WiFi, but they charged me $20 a day. I didn't argued with them, because it would be he said she said, not written down.

Very clean and hygienic rooms. The hotel staff were very helpful, friendly and polite specially loved the service from 'off the common' where I got my fresh fruit bowl every day. 10/10 on customer service. Close to airport (around 15 min by cab) and walkable distance to the subway. You can walk to the north end to explore the Italian side and Boston Garden and library are at a close proximity. Convenient location close to restaurants, super market and Trinity church.

The room was good, comfy and clean. We liked that they gave us water at the front desk. The hotel is super centrally located (near the Commons and the beginning of the freedom walk). Also the lobby was nice and the bar was always busy.

The rooms are spacious enough for an overnight business trip, though the wi-fi has never been the best. Bar downstairs and close to all the shopping and tourist destination you need. Checking in has never been easy as something always seems to go wrong, but they try to make up for it with a free breakfast or room upgrade when they can. Seriously, every single time. Good location for the price though.

The Boston Park Plaza is a beautiful hotel in on of the most beautiful locations in Boston. I couldn t believe how close we were to the Boston Commons - the FIRST park in the USA. The room had a spectacular view. The employees were very friendly and helpful.

I was booked here for a business trip by my company last week. The common areas were redone and looked great. My room (10th floor) was scheduled for renovation, but still was updated and very clean. The staff here made the 5 star rating.

I arrived in the middle of a conference call after getting stuck in traffic. A bellman saw me on the phone, grabbed a luggage cart for my bags, and pointed me to the check in area. I was able to mute my call and check in early in under 5 minutes so I could complete the call in my room (3 hours before scheduled check in time). Bellman followed me up with my bags and silently put them in place as I quickly set up my laptop with the wi fi key the concierge wrote down on my key card envelope for me. I was on laptop within 15 minutes - all seamless to my client. Room service lunch came right on time and was delicious.

I would certainly stay here again. The staff was so helpful and accomodating, and to me, that is even more important than the latest decor.

The hotel messed up and overbooked the room I had made reservations for so when I got there they upgraded us to a larger deluxe suite for no extra charge. It was a very nice room and they took care to make sure it was clean. The bath tub was great and their staff was very polite but seemed overly busy. Over all it was a great night's sleep and I was very impressed with the service we got versus the price we payed for it.

While we were only there for one night, our stay was extremely enjoyable. The hotel was clean, well lit, the service was great. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. Our room had blackout curtains which allowed is to sleep late, and the bed was very comfortable. Overall, a very nice experience.

Pros: great location. Clean rooms.

Pros: great location. Clean rooms.

Cons: walls are paper thin. Had the lovely experience of listening to our neighbors have sex, and then watch Seinfeld for the rest of the night. Was difficult to sleep (which is the main reason to book the hotel- to rest)

I am writing this review from my room at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel. My room measures 15' x 8' (literally), has a 28" TV which is sitting on a small desk along with the lamp, the phone, and the coffee maker. There is no closet in which to put your clothes. Just an armoire with no drawers or room for more than a few clothes on hangers. The ironing board has to sit out in the open because there is no closet in which to put it. There is no counter whatsoever in the bathroom - and the hotel had to install a 5" deep glass shelf in order to have somewhere to place the soap. But the shelf is literally not deep enough to hold my men's toiletry bag (called a dop (sp?) kit)

This is my third room to be placed in today. The first room was much larger, but smelled strongly of dirty socks and fritos - and reminded me of my dog's bed, so I asked if I could have a different room. The second room had a broken air conditioning unit, so they "upgraded" me to this room. I must admit, that this room does not smell like dirty feet and the air conditioning works, but it is half the size of the other two. THere was no way I could ask for another room at this point, but if I weren't here for a conference I would checkout of this hotel and go to the Courtyard by Marriott down the street. This is seriously the worst hotel I have ever seen, especially for this price point.

Always a clean, pleasant stay. Wonderful, helpful staff. Love the complimentary gym access, including exercise classes. Love the modern updates, but miss some of the old charm of the original hotel.

The architecture in the building is gorgeous. Really great facilities and the food for a conference was really good. Been to lots of conferences where I had to go grab something else to eat but the kitchens do a great job.
