Great bed for a late night arrival. Swank AF, and lit on the weekend too. Had my wife and I had the energy, we would have hit up the club that was in the hotel.
Very clean and modern in a great location, rooms on the smaller side but perfect for business travellers
From valet to checkout everything went smoothly and perfectly. The one night we stayed was amazing. I'd definitely stay there again even just for one night.
Boston Park Plaza is a great place to host an event, both for the central location of the place itself and the amount of room inside the venue. There are a lot of options around to get affordable food. This is my first time being here for something like this and I like it a lot better than where this was previously hosted!
Location was good. Inside the hotel was beautiful. Rooms on the other hand weren't even close to a 4 star quality. First room we had the ac didnt work, several water damage spots on ceiling, paint peeling off ceiling, wallpaper peeling, dirty dusty moldings in bathroom, toilet leaked overall quality I would expect from a 2 star Motel 6. Talked to manager promised a bigger better room with a view. That was a lie. Same style room as before. AC did work in this room but again peeling paint on ceiling, poorly done repairs through out, mold on caulking in bathroom, dirty dusty moldings. Will not stay there again. Not even close to being worth what I paid!
Update: Hotel promised to make things right and offered to send a complimentary night stay for next time I'm in Boston. It's been 2 weeks and I get no replies to my emails and nothing was sent to me. Terrible way to do business.
Very expensive for little. Mostly rude employees except the front door man. Good location though.
Very nice hotel. Strongly recommend. Right in middle of everything you would want to do in Boston.
Due to a flight delay I arrived close to midnight and was told that the hotel was overbooked and was then made to wait in reception until 2am for a room. I was informed by the receptionist that as a form of recompense I would have a breakfast voucher waiting for me in the morning. To my utter non-suprise no voucher was waiting for me in the morning and I was sent on my merry way without so much as an apology.
Needless to say I won't be back.
Awesome hotel just wish there was more food/drink options when dining there
Beautiful place, great staff...What else does one need?
Beautiful place! I visited it forth year for traditional ballroom dance competition in September. Rooms are a little small. But it is a downtown Boston.
Great breakfast buffet, nice hotel, super location, walls between rooms a little thin.
This place is my style, has real character. A little older, a very nice lobby though a little cozy, inexpensive rooms that are small, but well appointed. Might become my new standard place in Boston.
Nice hotel, bath tub in my room could use some updates
Some rooms are small but the location and view is great. Also there's a huge lobby/bar.
Clean, nice atmosphere. Rooms are modern, but small. Bed was top tier firm. I had to lean sideways using the toilet. Valet parking is $51 but compared to NYC not a bad rate. Several options within a block to park for less and easier access to your car. Overall, would I stay here again, a loud YES, its a nice neighborhood and I didnt come to Boston's to stay in my room!
Great dog friendly, but after taxes your bill goes up 30%
Just had dinner and drinks. Renovations look great.
Great location. Clean rooms. Postage stamp size. Count on standing sideways in your shower and the toilet paper rack against your thigh. As a small person I could barely fit. Not a place to enjoy the room, so get out and enjoy the town.
Great location in the city center. Beautiful hotel finished and well organized .. slightly small rooms but clean and well maintained
Great location and very accommodating staff at the front desk.
We stayed there for three nights. The hotel is definitely okay, but not great. The room had everything you can expect and the location is perfect. On the other hand, the room was small, not too luxurious, there were tomato stains on the nightstand, and the walls were thin so we could hear the neighbours watching tv in the middle of the night (although the hotel cared about that quickly after we told them). Also, our key cards didn't work one time, but this can happen at any place. All in all, I would probably not stay there again.
We had a very enjoyable stay here. The hotel room was nice and the beds extremely comfortable. The location is central and the staff are pleasant and helpful. We found breakfast to be a bit overpriced and not really the best we have had on our trip, so we did not go back a second time.
Fantastic rooms, renovations have modernized the interior quite a bit. Great value on our stay and great location, one block from the Public Garden.
Beautiful architecture, astute friendly doormen, red carpet covered entrance, large stylish lobby, newly designed rooms, fine bedding, pillows and most comfortable beds. Opening windows to view one of Boston's historic skylines next to the Boston Commons is fabulous. We truly enjoyed the refreshing Boston breeze, sunsets and night life views. Enjoyed the abundant array of fine wines and spirits, beautiful bar and fine dining. Absolutely love Boston Park Plaza . We shall return. #KitchenBathDesignByGloria #EatSleepDesignRepeat #KBDcabinets #designers #remodels #luxury #travel #californiagirl #architecture
A beautiful and comfortable hotel right in the city centre. Stayed here while on business in Boston and will definitely stay here again next time. The staff were lovely and accommodating. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable! Their burger was awesome too!
Great hotel. Room somewhat small, but clean and had all necessary accommodations
My favourite hotel in the world! The location is perfect, the hotel is stunning- make sure you go to all the conference rooms and the ballroom is a must! Everything about this hotel is great and I ve only had positive experiences here.
Location is great if you want to take the trains. Our room was a little old but overall clean. On the pricier end.
The staff is very professional and friendly, but the rooms are tiny and overall the hotel is tech unfriendly. I found not one plugin for laptop in their lobby, and our room had only one outlet that would take a laptop plugin. No excuse for this in 2017!
Nice rooms, many many conference rooms but not all are located in same area so some running around is needed. Good location, T accessible and 8min walk from train
We booked our stay at this hotel through Airbnb and we were very satisfied with the cleanliness of the room, the extremely helpful staff and the Starbucks in the lobby.
Room we had was large, clean, and the bathroom was a good size.
They charged me hidden fees every night I stayed. The total price they tell you is not the real thing
Huge renovated ball room, classic decor, rooms are about European sized
Planned a little get away for me and the wife. Did some homework on which hotels were recommended. This Hotel seemed to have a lot of positive reviews, mainly for its accommodations and location. Hotel is located right in the middle of the action such as Fenway, TD garden and only a walk away from the public garden, Quite far from the airport. Size of the room was small as well as bathroom. They also had a lounge area after hours that played good music, unfortunate that they had a strict dress code policy. Had on dress shoes, dress shirt and blazer, unfortunately due to wearing jeans, they didn't allow me in.
Room is nice, but very small. The shower was damn near suffocating.
Not a bad place. A bit pricey, but I on par for Boston. I generally recommend my family members to stay here when they come to visit me.
Location is great, service and room service food were both good and the rooms are clean. The good things end there. The walls are quite thin - I could hear the conversation in the next room. It was an uncomfortable, disrupted sleep from all the noise going on outside - cleaning, guests going in and out etc. The internet is slow and sometimes disconnects. There is no mini bar or even complementary water in the room. No shower cap or extra vanity kit products outside of the soap, shampoo and conditioner. This is a very busy hotel full of business folks and conference goers but with so many other hotel options in the city I wouldn't stay here again.
This hotel is great. The location is wonderful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Would stay here again.
Really enjoyed my stay here. Room was good sized. Blinds are actually set up to smartly block sunlight in the morning. TV has Chromecast built in. Shower had a good head on it. Good restaurant for breakfast in the morning. Very pleased with my stay. Ambient noise at night was a little loud but never disruptive.
Meeting room downstairs is not ADA friendly. The bottom meeting room requires a person to go down 3 flights of stairs to get there. The only alternative is to be led through the bowels of the hotel and take the service elevator. There is no public bathroom on this lower floor, which is also non-compliant. To get down to the actual meeting room floor, there are more steps. The hotel did put a temporary metal ramp up when we were there, but otherwise, there isn t a permanent one.
Valet parking is outrageous for overnight guests ($51 per day). Their location is nice, but I would never stay there.
Location is close to the T, service is decent, it's a pretty decent but not amazing hotel. Showers are amazing but elevators are awful
Good 4 star at reasonable prices. Modern, clean rooms. Great central location to visit good part of downtown Boston on foot. Metro stop just around the corner from the hotel
Rooms are cosy but clean and serviceable. Greater hotel area is nice and good for small work gatherings
Just stopped by for drinks. Reasonably busy for a Tuesday night
Booked 2 bedroom, only got 1 bed. Noisy, bathrooms are noisy, can hear neighbors, can hear outside.
I was charged a "facility fee" for my stay which was not disclosed in the price of the room up front. ($17.17 per night extra on the checkout bill) I have stayed at this hotel 20 times, and never been charged this fee before. I believe this is now standard policy. I travel about 40 nights per year on business and this is the first time this has happened to me. I called to dispute the charge and was rebuffed. As a community, we must stand up against these sorts of dishonorable billing policies. Please do not stay at this hotel unless you are prepared to fight this charge. Watch your bill closely.
UPDATE: Thank you for responding to my post. I'm saddened that you have taken the feedback, but not updated your policy. Listing one price and charging another price is a bait-and-switch. It's a time-tested-dishonorable sales technique. I can think of no circumstances under which this practice is acceptable.
If you want to give free wifi, etc, and charge more for the room, that's great. I support it. Please add the rate to the listed price. Alternatively, if you would like to make the wifi an optional up charge, that's fine too. I support it. However, you can not charge a hidden fee that is mandatory and not disclosed it in advance.
You're just taxing one-time travelers who don't discover the injustice until it's too late.
Gorgeous hotel. Outside has been kept in a nice, classic style. Inside is fresh & modern. Amazing location.
Beatiful rooms, clean and nice. Perfect ubication in the city center. So kind service
I had the most amazing experience this past weekend at the Park Plaza in Boston. I was working the Christmas Festival and wanted to stay at a place I would feel comfortable and safe. Well I received more than that. The whole experience was 5 star!! Starting with my check in, which was fast and efficient. Next was my room that was clean and had everything I needed. I can t remember when I had a better nights sleep. Their beds and pillows were so comfortable I fell asleep the minute my head hit the pillow. Next was breakfast. Their coffee and orange juice was the best I ever had. Then came the rest of the meal which was cooked to perfection.
When I arrived home that night I was met by their valet, who immediately took my car and answered a couple of questions I had. My dinner was also a 5 star meal. That is not easy considering I am a vegetarian.
All and all the whole experience was perfect
I highly recommend!!
Clean. Polite and helpful staff. The only negative thing was the Keurig coffee pods were the worst tasting coffee ever. Best clam chowder I've ever had.
The security is as rude as it is incompetent. They'll issue noise complaints for talking at a normal volume in late afternoon and early evening, but they took their sweet time responding to an actual fist fight. Don't host a convention here unless you want your attendees to be subject to harassment while being left unsafe.
Nice hotel, the staff are all super friendly. Though the rooms are tiny, even the "pay $30/night extra for a bigger room" wasn't exactly huge. But well kept, good location.
The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The rooms are the smallest of any hotel I've ever stayed in. The rooms have a dated appearance and are poorly maintained. The hotel tries to portray a classy theme but fails miserably. My guess its an attempt to justify the obsurd prices they charged us for everything. I had 3 ironious charges on my account in one night. Avoid this hotel if possible.
Lobby is nice and the valet guys are great. The rooms are very small. The toilets use a handle valve config, like you see in a school or at a factory, so a flush in a super-small tiled bathroom is super loud. Walls are very thin and could hear every word of both neighbors and every conversation in the hallway. The AC in the room runs from units on the floor; it is also pretty loud. I don't think I would choose to stay here again with so many excellent choices in Boston.
The service at the hotel was excellent. The staff was very friendly and eager to assist. The room was kind of small and was an odd shape but clean and a very comfortable bed.
Pros-Location.
Cons- basically the room has a bed small chair and table. It was really noisy. You can pretty much hear everything outside and please do not get a room near the elevator because the bad sound will wake you up all night. Nothing really fancy about the hotel. If you are thinking about bring your car in the city please think twice cause you will be paying extra 42 dollars for valet parking to park in the hotel and finding street parking will be couple hours.
Will I ever stay again in this hotel? I will not.
Came for work presentation in Arlington. Rather nice. Sadly the snacks were gone by the time the presentation finished, but they looked good.
Went in to the bar area while waiting for a bus to an event. Place is very nice, clean and has grab bartenders.
Only went there for drinks in the lobby lounge. Beautiful atmosphere and great drinks. Service was just OK.
Beautiful, big, in the center! It is convenient to walk around downtown Boston. Great shopping nearby
The hotel was great. Very clean and maintained, aesthetically pleasing, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Attached you can find a convenient Starbucks and many places to go visit and eat in the area.
Lod school hotel, with knowledgeable people. Great place, we loved it.
I have been staying at this hotel for years and the staff always treats me great (*except the bartenders...they are very cranky). The rooms are a bit small but if you join their iPrefer rewards program you can usually upgrade to something larger. The food is good and you'll find a number of restaurants nearby. There is a Starbucks attached to the property
Very comfortable stay. The hotel is nestled into a prime location to some fantastic restaurants and bars. Just a 5 minute walk to Boylston and Newbury for shopping. Easy access to the green line to get to Fenway or North end.
Nice room, quiet, friendly staff. Great location in the city as well.
