Good location with quick access to nice places in Boston.
Hotel rooms have many charging stations, making the rooms convient for guests with multiple devices. Rooms are clean and orderly, with very helpful staff. The reason I am rating the hotel 4 stars instead of 5 is for a evacuation alarm for a fire that went off during our stay. The alarm itself was no fault of the hotel, better safe than sorry, but the alarm notifying our floor of evacuation occurred just after the fire department cleared the building as safe. They were fairly prompt in their announcement that it was safe to return to the room, however they were not prompt enough to prevent many guests panic. Overall, wonderful stay in a fantastic location, would have given 5 stars if there had been no potential fire with evacuation.
Great Hotel. Wish the staff was a bit more warm but they weren't bad by any means. Just a bit cold and serious.
All things considered though the place has great comfortable amenities and the workers did do an amazing job on everything else. Can recommend!
The location was (almost) moot, since there was a shuttle to the convention center (PAX East). The room had everything thatvibhad expected, and it was capable of accommodating our party.
The hotel is beautiful and the location is amazing. Within walking distance of Boston Common and the lively Newbury street, the hotel offers amazing suites and high quality service. The studio suite I am staying is phenomenal, but the bathroom is very small for the size of the room. This, however, is not a major problem, since we don t really spend that much time in the shower or toilet, anyways...
Nice hotel well placed and comfortable, however the rooms are small! I recommend for a short stay
Beautiful hotel on rowes wharf. Take the water taxi in and its easy access with great location
My expectations were very good but finding remains in the toilet has left me with nothing good impression of cleanliness. It is a pity.
Location is central and close to the Arlington subway to get around. Very clean, and modern and updated. Friendly staff and easy check in.
Old hotel. Room was clean. Staff is kind. Near to down town. I recommend.
Beautiful venue for the annual Massachuesetts Black Lawyers Association.
Stay somewhere else. I have never been treated so poorly as I was at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel. The rooms are extremely small, dark, and require a thorough cleaning. With the exception of two individuals, one at the front desk and one from room service, the staff is rude and do not care about your complaints. They claim that they are going to fix the problem in your room and never do. The manager, Michael, is the worst. Don't waste your money!
Overbooked the hotel so our double room was taken, that offered to "upgrade" and made it seem like the new room was better but it was a lot worse. They moved us on Saturday and now that I can appreciate the hotel it's quite nice. The atmosphere is a bit high class feeling. The best part is the free WIFI. Room cleaning leaves some to be desired.
Very nice hotel. Friendly staff. Very clean and great location
I think it is can't be worse any more, especially the internet, almost you can't log the internet. Boston is good in its surface and name but really worse than Houston, I think.
Very much enjoyed our visit to the Boston Park Plaza. Things had been updated and renovated since our last visit, and the changes are just beautiful. Staff, efficient and professional as usual. One of my favorite destinations.
I give this hotel 5 stars even without being there. I had an emergency and had to cancel my reservation. They was so understanding that that did not charge me cancellation fee as well.
Great hotel. I stay here for work every few months and have always enjoyed the staff. Great kabob place next door. Its in an industrial part of town but as I said it's a great hotel.
Extremely cold bathroom floor, continuos back up alarm from bobcat outside that kept us awake all night, had to call room service multiple times for same things, extremely uneven temp in room, no exhaust fan in
Bathroom, bathtub doesn't drain properly so when you shower your standing in a foot of water.
The hotel very comfortable, the gym of the best I know but the rooms are very small. I do not know, go into the bathroom ..
Boston park plaza is a great hotel and has great surrounding locations for food and drinks
Slightly small rooms and itchy sheets but the views are nice and the air conditioning is great. Lobby is also beautiful and front desk staff were very friendly plus gave me a free water bottle. Recommended!
Very nice hotel. Nothing extraordinary but very nice.
Nice hotel, upscalish... hotel brunch was decent. Jusrlt remember you're in Boston everything is going to be pricey and this is a historic hotel that just went through some pricey renovations. It was very nice though. For those who are looking for prices, brunch cost 25 for bacon, two eggs, breakfast potatoes, 2 mini croissants, and a cup of coffee, a bottle of water from vending machine cost 3 dollars, wifi is 12 per night for basic and I believe 15 for better connection. Also 75 per night for incidentals but you get that back once you checkout. Rooms are spacious and super clean. I got a deal not sure how 215 a night, it was a handicap room so I'm thinking maybe it was one of the last rooms that needed to get booked so price was dropped??? Not sure.
Was there for moving together conference food was good but seating not enough
Staff was very helpful as usual, expedited the whole process
It is a really nice place to stay! Rooms are small, but have a New England feel. Close to a lot of good restaurants.
Service is solid. Gym is incredible. Room was large and always clean.
Superb. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. Everything you could need, want, or see is within walking distance.
Came here for a convention. I personally didn't experience anything with security staff, but I heard some awful things about how they treated other convention attendees.
The hotel and my room were very cold, even when I turned up the heat. The room was also very small...but it is an old hotel. The rug had a burn mark from what looked like an iron, and the bed had little black lint spots all over it, but it really wasn't anything that made me upset. It's a very beautiful hotel, and maybe someone's experience will be different if they are not going there for a convention or a conference. If you are, though, be aware that pilots stay at this hotel and many of the other people staying here are quick to give noise complaints.
Beautiful building, food was pretty good. Service was very good. Expectations for the food may have been too high.
Boston Park Plaza did not disappoint. Rooms were spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Service was exceptional. Early in the morning, my husband and I wanted to go for a walk and find a place for breakfast. We asked the doorman and he walked down the block, gave directions and recommended a place for breakfast. It was a spectacular walk that ended in Beacon Hill at a delicious and quite popular restaurant. His recommendation completed our weekend perfectly.
Went here for a friend's graduation. The venue is very nice.
I don't have a single positive thing to say about this hotel. 0 stars
This is a older hotel, but has been renovated. However, the rooms are extremely small, including the bathroom. The bathroom had no counter space and I had to close the door to get the toilet paper. Also, my toilet didn't flush and so I contacted maintenance. They "apparently" fixed the issue, but it persisted. So I had a toilet that required 3 flushes before even urine would go away; thank goodness I was only here 2 nights. Also, the cleaning crew took the trash out of my can and placed it on the night stand and left it in my room. When I reported the issue the receptionist didn't apologize, but instead said "So you want us to get the trash?" Yes, I want you to get the trash and clean my room and now have the manager call me! I was highly impressed that the Manager Robert came to my room to discuss the issue and he sent someone to immediately sanitize my room. He also offered free breakfast for my inconvenience. In the end, there are way more hotels in Boston that are better.
Lovely lobby. Our double bedroom was small. Pricey for what you get.
Good location, close to public garden. The rooms are well decorated. Clean. However the service is not as good comparing to similar prices hotels. I was woken by people next door 2:20am, I could hear clearly all their conversations, I am wondering how could the security let bunch of people partying mid-night. The room was very dry made my nose bleed for 2 days.
Though my room felt kind of cramped, the hotel felt very crisp and clean and modern. The food for events was some of the best I've had.
We were only there for one night but he managed to recommend it. Very good hotel
Great location. Close to many restaurants. Rooms are modern.
I recently attended an event honoring someone and raising money for the sponsoring organization. The hotel's two rooms were well-appointed. The service was good. But several of the dishes were mediocre, apart from the three chocolate deserts, which were excellent.
In short - it has been a month and still waiting for the room deposit to be refunded. Boston Park Plaza has stopped replying to emails. Such a bad experience!
Beautiful building, easy location to find, service is great.
A great location., clean comfortable room for the price. A bit of a problem with hearing our neighbors through the thin walls. The room could have used more drawers , as there were only 2 small ones at the night stands. And, please add a mirror in the room too
Inside embark on my never-ending Journey I 10 only say that some hotels stand out more than others. This particular Hotel Park Plaza is one of the best. I will remember it for always and hope to spend some more time here God only knows what thank you
Small rooms but clean and comfortable. Good value for downtown.
Room was comfy, but small. Queen bed really was a double. Lounge and food and service were great! Ate and drank a couple of times while there.
BEWARE: they water down their alcohol. My on-the-rocks Absolut Vodkas were definetely watered down.
Otherwise, knowing that, I would stay again.
This is a very swanky hotel in a great part of Boston. There is a Starbucks attached and a privately owned gym but you can sign up for a free few days during your stay.
Very nice rooms. Very centrally located.
Great ambience overall.
The staff was incredibly nice and hospitable. I stayed in a "cozy" room. It was very compact but perfect for one person. It was clean with sleek design. I really enjoyed my stay. The lobby was exquisite.
Had Christmas party here. Very nice place to have and the staff was terrific.
I stayed for 2 nights for New Years Eve and was given an "accessible" room since pickings were slim. My review on the room itself I'd say are mixed. The positives: the room was very large, had a comfortable king sized bed, and large bathroom as well as decent sized closet. There was complimentary water and a Keurig coffee maker with a selection of pods and teas. Service was great and location unbeatable. The negatives: The heating system didn't work very well. The windows were a little drafty. The view was interior, looking at the windows of others' rooms. Room was located near the elevator and was especially noisy on New Year's Eve. The walls were pretty thin. The furniture was in very rough condition (one chair had a burn mark from a clothes iron!) and the buttons on the phone didn't work. Internet was pricy. The shower floor was in need of a serious deep-cleaning.
Now I understand that this is a pet-friendly hotel, however, I had gone to bed right after midnight on New Year's Eve, and someone's dog started barking (constantly!) shortly thereafter. I finally got out of bed a little after 1am to call the front desk but was on hold for 20 minutes before hanging up. Someone finally handled the dog. My guess is I wasn't the only person calling to complain.
No need to asked me about Boston park plaza hotel I'm with the hotel company for 26 years it is my second home and my extended family
Nice hotel with fine rooms. Breakfast a bit overpriced.
Lovely clean room. Views from the window were brilliant. Hotel was constantly busy as they seemed to host a lot of conferences. In a good walking distance from the Boston common and public gardens. Went to Maggiano little Italy which was right round the corner which was amazing!! Massive portions! Only downfall was the windows could be a bit better as you could hear everything from outside, and they were doing roadworks at 9 at night! Also including water in the room would also be a good idea. Would stay again.
The room was great and exactly what we needed. I loved the common spaces and the location. But the fire alarm went off at 2:30 AM and made it unclear if we should evacuate or not. But that stuff happens
Staff was great! They love Game of Thrones as much as i do!
The location was great, right in the middle of everything, very close to restaurants, Chinatown, etc. The room was pleasant, the bathroom was kind of small but it was fine. All the staff was very courteous and helpful
Very swanky, but you can tell how old the building is. Hallways are narrow and ceilings are very low.
The room was very pricey for an outdated and crammed space. Also the walls are very thin and you hear people walking and giggling down the halls all night and morning. I guess it's the convience to the area is really all you get. I was very bothered to spend $250 plus dollars for 1 night to then wake up to a $ 25 dollar service fee. And not even given a free continental breakfast. The hotel is more about its money than it's guest, and it showed.
The food is way overpriced and the hotel security is aggressive and irritating, but other then that its a good place.
Very nice lobby. Above average room for Boston. Phenomenal gym.
Perfect location, very clean room, Arri at the front desk was fabulous and provided amazing service. Will definitely stay here when
Nice accommodations in a centralized location. If you need/want WiFi, it will come at a price. I was surprised by this, especially given the price of the rooms - which are very small.
Rooms somewhat sad and small for the price, and for the flashing entrance.
A nice upscale hotel that provides everything you need for a long stay.
Good hotel in general, it is huge and require some walking if you are not familiar with the floors. They charge quite a bit for upgrading the room, usually not recommended.
Try to book/ask for the room higher (12th floor or higher) and facing the public park, the view is better and less noisy than the other sides.
The hotel has several restaurants at its first floor and the reviews look good but I didn t get chance to try. it is convenient if the weather is bad or you just want to stay in hotel.
