My first impression of the Bonaventure Resort and Spa was was great upon arriving at the hotel s fairly modern and well kept lobby. However that impression quickly changed after checking in and arriving at our building/room. There was a pretty decent sized puddle of water in the breeze way approaching our room that has yet to be attended to after two days now. The room itself (carpet, furniture and appliances) is pretty dated and definitely over due for some serious remodeling. As a whole, this place isn t terrible considering the price but could definitely use some much needed improvements.
Old looking, need to be renovated to compete in South Florida
It seemed like an amazing place and maybe it is but I got a dirty room and was instantly put off by the place. I had trouble getting into the room, there was a used tampon and applicator in the trash can in the middle of the room, and I couldn't get the window open because the latch was broken to hear the waterfall as white noise to help me sleep.
On the positive side of things they have a nice 24 hour fitness center, a walk-in closet in the room, and the bathroom was clean and had both a tub and shower and a toilet and bidet.
Maybe it was because I was a Hotwire guest that I got one of the less maintained rooms or it was just one bad showing. If I had been staying more than one night I would have called attention to my complaints but the bed was comfortable enough to rest my head on for the night.
Exceptional staff. Newly renovated. Room was good for the money. However the vents were very dusty. Nice pool. Hot tub. Outdoor bar is right next too the pool. Wifi is slow. For the "fast" service it's something like $10/ day. All in all for the money we paid (Hotwire) it's a good deal. We had a great time.
Just went to a wedding. Place looks nice, clean bathrooms, piano by the bar, classy, nice pool. Will go again!
Overall we had a great stay here. Staff was friendly, room was clean, and they let us have an early check in so we could attend an event at noon on Saturday. Only 'complaint' is the property is starting to look a little dated/needs updating on the exterior of the buildings and along the "nature walk". For the price and accommodations we definitely will be back.
Spacious and clean. There are rooms that are like mini studios where you can stay longer comfortably, banquet halls, tennis courts, and of course, a pool and spa.
Everything is great, beautiful. Just don't venture behind the bar outside, they don't clean that area.
The hotel is very beautiful and has a setting and a natural context very nice and particular. The attention on the part of those who are as receptionists for the little predisposition leaves to be desired. I would not say it's a luxury hotel.
Very nice hotel and resort. The bathroom has a tub and walk in shower and 2 toilets, one has a fountain.
The location is good, the room is big and really good, comfortable, service is ok.
Dirty and smelly! We rejected our room due to a strong musty odor, they moved us to another room that also stunk, but less so. Other guests told us they had the same issue. Ice machine areas were filthy. One ice machine broken. Stains on carpet. See pictures. View of construction site. Disgusting!
Nice place in a great area, pool area was nice , enjoyed the bar by the pool , nice shop with items you might need : was closed 2 times we went there during open hours , rooms are nice but a little outdated , had ants in my kitchen, liked the path around the rooms .
Im never one to complain about literally anything and I hate the fact that im doing this right now but something needs to be done. Do not spend $200 a night to get away from reality at this place. If you want to come here just so you can stay up all night tossing and turning, please do so. If you want a peaceful night and a full 8+ hrs of sleep, dont even think about coming to this place. Lets start with the little things, the little sliding lock on the door was busted when we came into the room, the tv looked like the satellite was being covered every 5-10 mins (imaging was terrible) the restroom smells like literal fish and its unbearable, throughout the entire room, the bathroom door doesnt close all the way so the smell is unstoppable, i was up every 40 mins- 1 hr because the ac would start whistling like a train every 5 mins or so, i had to turn it off. Then the walls are so thin that the neighbors next door had an alarm going off at 5 am this morning and we could hear it. We woke up thinking it was our alarm only to realize we cant turn it off. The showers water pressure sucked I mean you re better off showering in the rain to be honest. But for some reason the water pressure in the sink was so hard that when you turned it on it sounded like a waterfall, about 5-6 am the sound of water drops sounded like someone left the sink on with a megaphone next to it and it radiated throughout the room but it wasn t from our room again. Creaking would occur from what Sounded like old pipes in the walls of the building. Long story short, I was up all night because either this place is haunted or it needs to be rebuilt . Don t come here if you re looking for a get away because you won t get one. Not to mention the traffic outside and construction going on. Good luck.
A wonderful resort we dif the St Judes Lamborghini fashion show.
I thought it would be better was kinda dissapointed.
It was good. Did not have a fridge. But very peaceful.
Very nice place to stay in I give it a hundred and the restaurant is great live band awesome.
Rooms are alright. Some wear and tear on the furniture. If you get a kitchenette be sure to bring supplies. All they provide is a one cup coffee maker and a couple of cups with some coffee packets. Pool with waterfall is nice. Oh, television is analog, so station options are limited. It worked for our basic needs though. Free wifi helps A LOT! Btw, if you're prepping for gastro surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, bring your own toilette paper. I called three times in two hours between 8-10p.m. and we ended up going out to buy our own. I reached out via social media and got a standard we will get back to you. Never heard from them again.
The rooms very nice. The service very gentle. The delicious pool, with very nice waterfalls and a bar.
2nd year in a row staying here for a medical conference and no WiFi. Rooms/carpet always needs vacuuming. Service is ok. I ll definitely be suggesting that they move this conference to a different location next year.
We stayed here after a cruise and prior to our flight. Resort wasn t too far from the FLL and in a nice area. The lobby, main pool, and the restaurants were in pristine condition. The rooms and other buildings not so much. The elevators were very sketchy and took forever for the doors to open. The beds were very small and uncomfortable. We barely slept and had to wake up super early to catch a flight. The pool close to our building was nice, we were the only ones swimming. There were a lot of leaves in the pool, we tried to clean them out while we were swimming. The balcony was nice and roomy. Loved the area but not so much the hotel.
The staff was very pleasant. The room was comfortable but definitely outdated. They still have tube style TV's in the rooms and the blankets could stand to be replaced. The bar also closed at 11 on a Saturday which seemed a little early. And there are no snack or drink machines anywhere on property.
The graduation ceremony for Imagination school was the best ceremony I ever attended. It was all a very positive and meaningful experience for the children, family and friends.
Average facility, confusing parking lot, buildings not clearly numbered, had to ask for things
Pool is fantastic. Really nice. A conference took most of the car parks, all good
Good hotel! Nice rooms. Fast check in. Good area for family and special children.
It's good in passing. That is the beautiful area of the hotel.
Nice place ... very quiet. Very far from the movement what can be a pro or a contra according to what one seeks. The room clean, missing cutlery. Spectacular Pool area and Restaurant
I always go to this hotel, the service and service are great! The rooms are very cozy. It is the hotel has a spa with whirlpool and sauna.
Great experience! I enjoyed my stay.
Lobby bar drinks are a tad pricey, but the bar tenders make it worth it. Was there for a work event and lodging, the suites are HUGE and spacious. Although they could do better than two small water bottles in the room.
Beautiful venue . Parking leaves a lot to be desired
very peaceful and well kept grounds, food is good, ome draw back too many workers speaking spanish and cannot understand english. what a shame...
This place is HORRIBLE!!!!!!! There's always a hidden payment. I've been trying to contact management for the past week and no one has returned my calls. $100 security deposit and the $18 a night fee after paying full price on the stay. These rooms are terribly outdate; complete false advertising on their website. The rooms are from the 1950s at best. The cable and television is outdated - not even HD. The rooms smelt moldy. The blankets were torn and had holes in them. It's truly comical at this point how one facility could be so terrible. I would never want to be an employee at such a disgusting establishment. The only friendly and helpful people were the house keepers. I've never been so frustrated with the lack of customer service. I can't say enough terrible things about this "resort" (what a joke). You are MUCH better off anywhere else. Please trust every bad review of this facility.
Dropped my dry cleaning off had a very important business meeting. Go to check out and ask why my dry cleaning had not been dropped off like it was suppose to, they search into it and it didn't get done at all. They said they couldn't do it before my meeting and would have to charge me for an extended check out when I asked if I could just leave the rest of my stuff since I would have to come back. TERRIBLE SERVICE and it's in the middle of nowhere go somewhere else.
Love the place but definitely have not kept up as much as when I visited last year. The pool in building 7 was always messy with leaves and they didn't seem to clean it daily and also the door to the balcony was broken and hard to open but besides that it was a spacious beautiful space
No refrigerator in the rooms. They have bidet's though....
Companies frequently hold meetings or training events here. Nice atmosphere, but the restaurants are *quite* pricey.
Went for a professional function and was surprised about this little tucked away secret in Weston.
Currently stayed here on the 14th of August and left my pandora bracelet and a couple of silver accessories in front of the TV and didn't realize until I was back in Jacksonville. Apparently housekeeping supervisor or worker who cleaned the room didn't see anything but I know that was a lie because my items was not in my bags. I turned my key in to the bellsmen because someone was checking in and I had to checkout in a hurry. But I said finders keeper because they must have really needed it to not return it to the front desk, since housekeeping don't make that much money unfortunately. I would just by another one with the charms that was already on my bracelet. And I had like this hotel thats why I book to stay there for a second time when I visit fort Lauderdale but NEVER again. I was very hurt and hope the individual who took it really enjoys wearing it even though it has no meaning to them once so ever becasue the charms represents me
Excellent hotel. Close to FLL airport and Sawgrass Mills.
Room was clean and AC cools really well, but the building and room is dated small TV no HD channels and the shower only has warm water. The common areas are in desperate need of cleaning dirty and cluttered with debris palm frowns, grass is uncut building are filled with mold and need to be cleaned and painted. What a shame property has great location
This place smells old... like a house that's been empty for years. It's clean and well kept though.
The place need to fix the pool bar the place inside is very nice but the pool area is very old and dirty. Amazing job by Auri in the pool bar super service his very helpful and very nice guy I want to give him 5 stars to him but the place needs help.
It was a really nice experience, I only went there one day but still was super good... Only giving 4 because I couldn't stand the ducks anymore
great hotel, but far from the main atractions in fort lauderdale
There for a professional training. Catering is fantastic and the staff is very nice and professional
The venue was nice, and it was large enough to host the event nicely. There were a few unfortunate issues with my room that made the experuence not great. The venue is also quite remote from anything else.
William is the best of this place. We love you Will.
Nice and clean, only here 2 nights, good enough for that.
Let me start by saying it has been a pleasant experience here at the Bonaventure. It is a beautiful resort. There is a nature trails and several pools. The fitness center is awesome. It has everything you could need to keep up any fitness routine. The room was alright. The furnishings were nice. However, there was no mini fridge in the room and our bathroom door couldn't be shut or you were basically locked in. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
We stayed in building 2. Dated, old, tears in the lamp shades, there were small ants and other insects in the room. On arrival there were no tissues, and there s a gap under the door (I m assuming this provides the entrance for the insects). The pool needed to be cleaned. The breakfast wasn t very appetizing and what I thought would be safe (the Belgian waffles, who can mess that up?) consisted of a grainy dry taste. The rest of the breakfast was subpar. Thankfully it was included. The only positive things I have to say is very friendly and helpful workers, plenty of parking, and great location for going out and about around Weston. The resort itself seems nice, private, and updated. The room did come with a nice size fridge, updated bathroom, and stove top. On a side note ensure to request which type of room you want, when we called for booking my husband exclusively stated it would be for himself and his wife. They ended up giving us a room with double beds.
My friends and I went there because there were two pokestops and a gym. So we decided to check it out. We were very surprised to find a swan (a freakin' swan!!!) In their fountain, maybe it was migrating or whatever is it that birds do. The water fall at the pool is really awesome looking. Will be stopping by to collect more pokeballs.
That waterfall inspired us to get a room there in the future/when we can afford it
Very cool the structure, the pools and the service thousand note.
Beautiful place for rest away from the noise of the city
