My initial impression of the resort was that it was a very nice, high class place to stay. The only negative I really have is that on my way to my room, the walkway areas didn't look as though they had been maintained as well. Although, once in the room, I was happy again.
The room was clean, the bathroom was nice, we had a fridge, microwave and stove top, on top of the basic amenities like coffee maker, TV, iron and board...
Having a full bathroom with a bidet was nice, even though the tub was a fairly basic, shallow one,but overall, it was clean and nicely put together.
The only complaint I could have with anything in the room would be that the beds were two doubles instead of a queen (but that could just be sure to other guests), and the mattresses themselves being fairly soft for our liking (the same went for our pillows).
The staff was all very friendly and the grounds looked nice enough, although we didn't get a chance to check out the pool first hand.
Overall, it was a nice stay, and I would return to spend more time, again.

Terrible hotel.

Terrible hotel.
Dinner without dessert and there were food leftovers !!!!!
There was no bath towel in the room.
Given the arrival time, they didn't take me because there were no waitresses.

I don't even want to choose 1 star because that would even be a stretch for this hotel. Upon check in, we were told there was a private group who had rented out the entire resort. Therefore, we would only have access to the Spa portion of the resort. No warning and their only response was, "Well it was on the Website." If it was posted, you would have had to been in the CIA to find it so I greatly doubt it was posted. To not even be apologetic or even understanding pretty much showed how unprofessional and inconsiderate this hotel is. The group they rented out to was disgusting. They had constant grill outs and parties and never cleaned up after themselves. We found raw chicken on the ground, trashed bathrooms and the front desk could not be any more rude. The only things this hotel are are OSHA and public health code violations. If you are considering staying here, please reconsider. You will save yourself and lot of money and time that would be better spent actually enjoying your stay and people you are with--pretty much the purpose of a vacation. On the other hand, Jorge at the spa was so sweet and understanding how horrific the whole situation and lack of management there was. The owner should be fined and have his license suspended until the Health Department conducts an official investigation and properly clears them--if that is at all possible. The rooms also smell and the beds have got to be at least 15 years old. The pool and jacuzzi we were "allowed" the swim at were green and I'm sure the water was insanitary. Gross, disgusting on all levels.

The staff is great but to he honest the outside of the resort is nice the rooms are just regular and a little outdated on the color scheme. Stayed here for 2 weeks. Hannah and Andrew are the nicest staff there

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was well enough for what I needed it for. Everything look clean and new. Only issue I had was the bathroom. It looked like there was a leak above the ceiling around the air vent. Other than that, absolutely wonderful. What ever voodoo they do there is working because I didn't see a single mosquito the entire time, in the middle of the summer.

Even though I was only visiting family there, I could tell that Bonaventure Resort and Spa was quite a nice place. The room that I was in was pretty good room, and it even had a little kitchen. I would definetly recommend staying here if you have business in Weston.

STOP DO NOT BOOK SPA TREATMENT AT ALAYA SPA. I had book and paid for couples massage. All we got was oil on our bodies an a body rub down. My husband only got his back an feet massage. His massage therapist was unpleasant. It was a waste of time an money. The massage was so disgusting I didnt even bother to enjoy the rest of amenities they offer. This was the worst massage, you are only paying for the name . Do not waste your time or money.

Amazing experience at Bonaventure Resort! Amazing staff, very spacious and clean room with two very comfortable beds and a good complimentary wifi internet. The room is air conditioning. Breakfast included in the fare. It's located in Weston, a very calm city, close to Ft. Lauderdale Intl Airport. However, it's not too close to the shore, and the nearest beach is about 30 minutes by car. The hotel offers a regular shuttle to Sawgrass Mills shopping mall. I didn't have time to check the spa, but it looks good for those who wanna rest and relax. 5 stars to Bonaventure!

Really pretty but old. We had some issues with our room, but they worked quickly to fix everything. We had breakfast included in our stay, and the buffet was great! Overall a good experience!

For a resort, it was a little dated to me, but the person who I sent there seemed to love it. So I'll give it four stars. The room was nice and the view wasn't bad either. I just felt like there could've been more for the price.

Terrible, just all around terrible.

Terrible, just all around terrible.

The one bedroom room we stayed in was old, dirty and broken.

Examples: a front door barely on hinges, required slamming to get it close every time. Old crusty towel hanging over shower door. Cockroach greeting me in the bathroom in the morning. Bathroom sink drain stuffed. Broken sliding glass door lock. Broken bathroom wall tiles about to fall off the wall. Television with reception so poor that all you saw was static.

Front desk under staffed and untrained. No one was at the front desk at 9PM on Friday night to do a check in. Had to use my cellphone to call the main hotel number to get someone to show up at the desk. The woman who showed up asked "Is this your first stay at the Bonaventure?" I answered yes, expecting to be told something important. What I got was "Oh." This should have been a clue for what we were in for.

Insufficient parking. Came back to the resort Saturday night at around 7-8. We found every single parking space taken due to a conference and a party they were holding. There was a plastic sign in the middle of the parking lot "Registered Guest Parking Only." It was just a plastic sign. No attendant actually monitoring it. There was no parking placards given, so no way to confirm who was actually a parked guest. There was no notation for where alternate parking might be located.

Worst of all, when I went to front desk I was told that if I wanted to park, I had to pay for valet parking.

And then, to add insult to injury, they chose to triple bill me.

The Bonaventure is a great hotel. Large and spacious rooms that included a kitchen, tv, fridge, and free Wi-Fi. The hotel staff is extremely kind and accommodating as well and they offer free breakfast in the mornings.

What is there to like ? The hotel and front desk staff are not to friendly or welcoming. They seem very robotic with no personality.

The rooms are overpriced and extremely outdated apartments converted into hotel rooms that are old and musty smelling. I was in building #6 facing the swap with all the construction outside my patio, which is super loud.

There's a mini fridge, microwave and a stovetop with no pots, pans, dishes or cooking utensils to use or cook with. The Ireland restaurant had no one eating there and it was after 6pm the other restaurant was nothing to write home about.

I would not recommend this so called converted apartment complex they call a resort to anyone.

This resort is where I'm having my wedding celebration. The grounds are beautiful, the pool is nice, the ballroom is fantastic. Food is delicious and there is a fun bar at the lobby. Located easily close to 595 main highway.

Rooms not as nice as some of the "cheaper" resorts or even hotels that I've stayed at. No microwave or fridge in rooms. Ice machine broken, no vending machines. You can everything that goes on outside your door, people talking, walking, doors slamming, any type of noise....but seeing as the stay was for a business trip and I did not have to pay for the room there should be no negatives. All I can say though is that if I had to pay, I would not stay here.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and conference center. Marble floors, super comfy beds, great sleep. Bidets, separate tub and shower, dual sinks, lots of natural light. The accommodation are high class for reasonable rates. Huge conference center, buffet and steakhouse on-site. Spa and Zen garden on site. The rooms were like apartments and practically sound proof. I wish I had been staying longer.

Beautiful place, with several swimming pools site in a protected wildlife environment where you can find ducks, swans and peacocks walking along the river. I do not give it 5 stars because there is nothing, literally "nothing" nearby.

This resort would be spectacular if the rooms were cleaner, and service was better. The pools and outdoor areas are gorgeous but our room left a lot to be desired. It was not very clean, the TV didn't work and the internet really sucked. We had a great time with my 3 yo grandson at the pool but they need better management.

My experience for a single night there was not pleasurable. I entered my room to find a small colony of mosquitos congregated above my bed at around 10:30PM.

Called the front desk, and they said they would send someone right away.

Twenty minutes go by and a room service employee reaches my room. He hands me a bottle of Raid and tries to walk out. I explained to him how I was his guest and that he should be the one to exterminate the mosquitos because I was on vacation and did not feel like taking care of a home that wasn't mine.

After about another ten minutes I finally called room service to request a switch to a different room.

The experience was much better in this new room and I could enjoy myself without worrying about mosquitos eating me in my sleep.

The pools scattered around the resort are all very lovely and the general aesthetic is very pleasing. I enjoyed my time at the Bonaventure resort due to its features, not because of its staff.

The hotel accommodations were very nice. We loved our waitress, Beatrize, at the restaurant. We booked through another party (which was probably a scam in itself) and there was a lot of confusion about vouchers and charges. In the end, we were out $200 extra dollars for a 2 night stay. They say that some of that will return to our card in 5 to 10 business days... well... that's a large chunk of money that we would like to use during the rest of our vacation. $88 dollars of the charges were because we "went over our initial $50 incidental hold". Not even sure what that meant and could not be clearly explained. Anyway, it's a racquet....so be careful and check and keep all receipts if you're staying here!

First, this place is quite far from everything. It's a decent place but staying in the marketing building is not really vacationing.
There was a broken glass on the bathroom floor and the safe wasn't working and appeared to have been deliberately smashed. The pool hours had the pool area closed up before dark and was quiet. It was an attractive pool and hot tub. The rooms were comfortable but the kitchen had no cookware, utensils, plates, etc.. The fridge covered everything in a frost. The gift shop wasn't open during hours of operation. The staff was friendly and the parking was great. There's a spa that looked amazing with several services offered for a price. The 90 minute presentation turned into 4 hours plus, which took away from the 2 days provided.

My stay wasn't at all a pleasureable one... When my husband and I finally tried to settled down for the night, I noticed a bug crawling across one of the beds... It was actually the bed I was laying on... I Immediately thought it was a beg bug... I called to have some investigate... We smashed the bug so they told us they could not identify if it was in fact a bed bug... So they switched us to a suite but gave us the key for the wrong suite... Had us going back and forth... Needless to say we didn't get settled in our new room until after midnight... I had to shake out my clothes for fear that I may take bed bugs home, it was a nightmare... We got in the new room and they had the head of housekeeping check the beds but I was still too afraid to go to sleep or sleep in the bed... Then we didnt get the courtesy of knowing where the resort style pool was... I think that things were handled very poorly... They did give us a lunch credit but after all we had gone through they should have... I wouldn't go back if they gave me 10 free nights...
