Called to ask about spa for my mom and me. Sounded great until I arrived andres was told no Jacuzzi because the jets were broken. It looked outdated and small anyway. They didn't know when it would be fixed and the steam room was being renovated for a few months. Driving all the way there and arranging babysitting for no reason sucked! They could have called. They didn't offer much of an incentive to come back... very disappointing.
Everything is so great in this place, food, bar, pool, service, stuff, and I can continue and continue. Big thank you!

I wouldn't go here if it wasn't for the fact that there is required conference each year. The furniture, room and building is old. Paint falls off the drawers and walls. The sofa is over used, damp and musty in odor, as is the carpet. Invariably, our room keys atop working after a few days. Insufficient parking. Towels are a rare commodity. The staff appears indifferent.
It wouldn't mind all of this except that the price is not reflected in their quality. 375-450/night is not a good value.
Outstanding resort. Main pool is beautiful. Staff was courteous and professional. Rooms were well maintained; however, pillows and bedding were nothing to write home about. Will certainly stay here again.
Don't do it!!! Run down rooms, poor customer service. Waited 4 hours for towels. Reservation was lost, took 30 minutes to locate a room which ultimately smelled very bad and was not in good repair. Wouldn't recommend this place at all. Only saving grace, the pool with waterfall is pretty, and the only pool you can get to without paying for spa services!

It was very very hot very humid which I knew it was but I just didn't realize how bad that was going to be and the accommodations were not the best that I've had the room desperately needs to be remodeled so probably the whole Resort rooms are needing to be remodeled the food was okay but not wonderful and there just was no where you could be that was air-conditioned except your room other than that I did enjoy the the views in the ocean and everything that people or just absolutely great I don't know that I'll return again
Mostly well timed tasting menu with two choices of wine pairings. Expertly crafted dishes provide a singular experience. The wine were exemplary. The entire meal had a delightful taste.
Do not stay at this hotel. They booked 100+ rooms for the Jewish Yom Kippur holiday and failed to provide adequate parking for the increased number of guests. As a result they towed numerous vehicles ($150 expense + Uber fees) without advanced notice! Apparently there was a lot across the street with parking available, but at no time did they post a sign or responsibly notify the guests that they knew for weeks were coming. A lot worker even authorized me to park where my car was, and I was still towed. On the highest holiday for the Jews this is how the business chose to conduct itself. Disgusting.

Facilities are good,(Check in, restraunts, pool area).. Rooms are so so. VERY LITTLE kitchen supplies, carpet needs ripped out and replaced, ceiling vents have not been cleaned in quite awhile and the patio furniture had sticky substance all over table top.. Not counting the "upgrade" said meals included but was only a MINIMAL portion of ALL meals REALLY pissed off about that hole scam! Staff friendly and weather ok bides a lil shower or two.gl

The staff is very poorly trained when we arrived at the hotel the bellhop got off his phone and the go kart and hurried away Perhaps due to the fact that I was wearing flip flops and shorts in Florida instead of a business suit like the rest of the everybody The bar serves watered down drinks and the entrees served were small portions but cost $80 for 2 people We were not able to eat a meal without being disturbed by the staff feeling like they are obligated to come over and have casual drawn out conversations The air conditioner did not work right it was either too cold or not coming on And they do not serve any sort of complimentary breakfast not so much as a bagel and breakfast is very expensive by the way and have low quality food And last but not least the Wi-Fi for the hotel was down the entire 3 days And the business center was also closed the entire time were here so We will not be returning to this hotel

I purchased a couples massage through Groupon for today. The pool area was dirty. The pool at the spa was full of mold and dead bugs floating in the water. The was no waiter in site to order food and drinks. We had to go find someone. The amenities , sauna etc. are located in the changing rooms therefore are separated male/female. I was told that my boyfriend and I weren t allowed to enter together. If you offer couples massages how do you expect them to enjoy the amenities that they can t even use together? Who s bright idea was that? When checking out I refused to pay the 20% gratuity because I was not satisfied with the service I received. Rather than addressing my complaints the poor excuse of a manager rudely told us that we could leave lol this place was a joke! A complete waste of money.
WOW what a fantastic place to enjoy with your significant other! My wife and I are both local roofing contractors and my wife has always wanted me to enjoy this place with her but me and spa....yeah right, wrong! I am so glad I decided to take her up on her offer a few months back because we have been enjoying monthly spa trips together since then and it gets better every time. From the friendly staff all around the resort to the top notch gym - we love this place! You've got customers for life! Guys.... go to the Spa with your wife, hit the gym, hit the sauna, hit the steam room and finish with a couples massage, you'll be very happy you did!
When we arrived for check in at 11 pm they could not find our reservation that was booked in September. There are no mini fridges in the room and the ice maker in our buliding does not work so in order for us to get ice we have to go to a completely different building. The bar did not have great service but it was late so we will see if that trend continues another night. The pool is nice and relaxing and the pool bar made good drinks. I have a massage scheduled for tomorrow so we will see how good that is. I was expecting a little more based on the website. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked well.

The service in the restaurants is some of the worst I have received. The manager was not trained to address our complaint and we clearly feel that we were discriminated against in relation to other guests

Great place fir weddings or any typenof large gathering. The Society Room, specifically, is a really great place to have an event. Wonderfully unique layout for a banquet room.

The resort is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The beds are made with light linens so you don't sweat. There is a rather large half fridge and hot plate with a decent sized half kitchen and microwave. Very easy to stay a few days and not over spend on eating out.
The whole area is beautiful and situated right on the Everglades, so there is loads to do.
Stayed in a one bedroom suite with kitchen. Bring your own everything. Nature walk is a construction site. Toilet is noisy. Bidet leaks and doesn't work. Grounds are starting to look a little tired
My room smelled like mold very strongly, and my room was always damp. I did not like that my room was NOT connected to the main hotel but rather a mini building, which when it was raining (which it often did) left to run to the main building and end up soaked. That happened twice in 4 days. The food was not bad and the bar was nice. The help was nice too but it doesn't make up for the rest. I also did not feel safe walking back to my room alone at night after having dinner in the main hotel.
The hotel look better inside than outside. The bathroom was beautiful. My boyfriend killed two big roaches in our room. After killing the Roaches were disgusted and decided to leave.

Read some bad reviews about this place. People bowling about bugs and leaks and bad odor. We stayed here twice and did not experience any of them. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was nice and very accommodating to us. The facility looks like it is aged and could possibly use an upgrade. Other than that, the place is fine to me!

It could've been a 4 or 5 but the amenities were lacking, the pool ran out of towels and I had to walk to the lobby to ask for more, and it was not as if there were tons of guests there. The room had a coffee maker and cups but no coffe, when I asked the next morning at chexkoiut they told me there was coffee in the lobby but cups were $3. Not sure what the resort fees were for.
Did not enjoy our 6th anniversary this year, staying at Bonaventure. Irelands steakhouse HAS always been an amazing experience along with amazing service and food. However, this time..sent back steak 2 times..called over manager..did not pay for meal, but the whole experience was not up to the usual standards that we have expected over the years at Bonaventure.
Our room was musty..called and they sent someone to spray..really didn't help. Your jaccuzi had issues, and was very dangerous, as it seems tiles and rocks were missing from it, and located on bottom. I guess there was some construction going on, but not sign, nor was it closed, or off limits.
Called down to front desk..Manager on duty Irene said she couldn't really do anything to help, so she would ask Rafael(her boss), to see about commensating us for the massages or give us another night stay.
Never heard from Rafael, as I called 2 different times to speak to him in the weeks after our experience. No call back..nothing.
In short..in a 24hour span of our 1 night anniversary spending $400 on room and massages...and came away with a bad experience. I am thoroughly disappointed. As we go every year..and even suggest Irelands to all our friends. NOT ANYMORE...as I told Irene..I will put out reviews on social media, and give bad press due to our disappointment of no return calls..NOTHING...
Room was swarming with mosquitoes and one room had bedbugs. Restaurant service was terrible. Will never return.

My husband and I stayed there last night. He booked the hotel via Hotwire and when we got there, I thought this is really great! What a nice way to end our trip back from the Keys.
When we walked in, I was looking for the rolling luggage racks. My husband was at the front desk and I was told ever so curtly, You need to see the bellhop! Well, duh, there was no one at the front door nor was anyone inside to ask. Then I was told

I went to the spa and asked if I could be worked in and it was a go. When I asked about massages, I was told, here is our listing. I asked about aramotherapy and got no response. But when I came back and signed in, I received a lamenented list of services which included aromatherapy.
I told them I wanted to add that service and an additional one.
Well, that brought about two staff approaching me to sign another paper so they could charge me . Well, okay. The massage was fabulous, but when I left there four staff members there and I was told that my services were already added with gratuity and thanked me. Because the massage was so relaxing, I let it go.
After that, it made me mad. Did they not think I would add a gratuity because I only spent$175?
I am 63 years old, put myself though both undergrad and graduate school working with the public. I tip well and sometimes I give more than 20 percent.
We decided to eat dinner in the bar, the food was okay. However, there were only about five tables eating and drinking in the bar. Again, blatantly ignored, had to ask for silverware to eat, ask for the check while watching all of the staff carry on conversation
When we walked from our car, the nicest young man offered to help us the and then again later when he saw us again. Perhaps you should have him work at your front desk.
So, reading the reviews, I liked the hotel. Your management could use some manners from the staff that work in the parking lot and work behind the spa doors.
So, the massage therapist, was excellent and the young man in the parking lot were great. That s why you get a three because every one else was either poorly trained and/or managed

Bonaventure Resort and Spa is beautiful! Most of the staff was accommodating and friendly. The rooms were clean. The grounds were well maintained. Location is ideal - right off major highways, close to a few malls and near restaurants. However, the restaurant and bar at the resort were sufficient. I'd definitely return.
Beautiful pool area, top-notch fitness center, and delicious breakfast buffet! The waffles are the love child of a cinnamon roll and a doughnut.
Great conference facility -- though the layout of guests rooms is not very convenient. Multiple low-rise buildings means lots of walking to-and-from the main conference area, and to-and-from other colleagues' rooms, compared to one high rise building where everyone is located together.
Clean place and with good attention. The restricted time of the pool is the only bad thing.
First of all this was listed as a 4 star hotel, definitely isn't over 2.5. Smells like old mold/mildew, it's just gross. I literally cannot sleep from this smell

Staff was great, grounds were nice, rooms are falling apart. Spotty wifi, plumbing issues and door key system constantly failing. We were there as a family in multiple rooms for an event.
Lots of go wrongs here on my one night stay. Least of all was the big fight outside my door and no one answering the telephone at the front desk (this at 1:30 a.m.). Would have left then and there but my car was parked in front of another building, and I was afraid to leave to go get it, and again no one answering phone. Overserved patrons in the bar area verbally abusing staff...who kept serving them.
Incorrect billing, mildew smelling room (resulting in asthma flare up and the need to antibiotic). No parking, no offers from valet to even open my car door. Mis-information about when food was or was not being served. This is no way a 4 star resort.
Took two emails and a bad review and a call to get results.
