Don't get tricked by the lobby and pool . The room was very modest filled with a musty odor . The carpet wasn't well vacuumed . Bathroom was updated though . Front desk takes forever to answer . Felt like a cheap apartment complex , definitely not worth $200/night . And definitely not staying there again

I've stayed at numerous high-volume resorts that are all-inclusive & not, and this place is not even close to either! The food is okay, but EXPENSIVE. Even with "food credits" a very light dinner (just wings and burger/no spirits) totaled $60 due to service fees and overpriced fountain drinks! I couldnt sleep in my very itchy and hard bed. I feel so nasty laying here typing my review. Now, details about that food: My 6 year old's Mac n Cheese and Sierra Mist cost about $9 not including service fees of more than $6 and another 18% for resort gratuity! Because you're surrounded by toll roads in the middle of nowhere, going to other places for food is just as bad. Save your money, time, and sanity...go to Pawleys Island, SC or Tradewinds in St. Pete or Portofino Islands Resort in Pensacola, FL . Golf, enjoy a beachfront suite, have clean linens and truly free amenities!!

I love this place!!
Every time I visit here I sumerge myself into a goodness moments. The staff is super nice, the rooms are comfortable and relaxing.
My favorite Massage Theraphist is Marco... he is so professional and passionate about his job, and give the customers recommendations to target their most stressful concerns about feeling better.
I love the sauna, jacuzzi, and steam room as well.
They always have fresh lemon water and tea.
Recomend this place 100% it s a MUST visit!!

The Bonaventure Resort & Spa was a perfect place for my wedding. We had a beautiful ceremony outside in their gardens & a fantastic dinner afterwards. The staff was extremely attentive & made sure everything was to my liking. Planning the wedding was stress free because of the guidance I got from Lucia, their food & beverage Director & assistant f&b manager Lilli. They both made certain to deal with all my concerns to insure the wedding day was extraordinary. My husband & I are thrilled. We plan to dine in their Banyan Restaurant on our 1st Anniversary!

I was a little underwhelmed by this place. It is older and isn't in great shape. We had a party out by the pool area with about 75 people. The pool bar was open but only had one bartender. The service was very slow and he had to keep walking inside to get Coke. Very strange.

We stayed here just a day ago and had the worst experience with them. The front desk couldn't find our reservation and couldn't help until the reservation people showed up at 9am. Front desk people don't know how to help guest. We get to our building and the elevator was horrible and we got stuck in it and my husband spoke to a maintenance guy who said I need to go reset it and went the other direction. The elevator also smelled like mildew. The room was smelly like mildew, the door hasp was broken and coming out of the door, had to yank or push the door really hard to open or close, the beds were wore out and from the nineties. The TV remote didn't work either. A guest said they are trying to act like a resort, but in reality it's a Holiday Inn. I think the owners need to really walk the place!! The pool, the little walk way was nice and lobby were the only nice things. Never will stay here again!!

Had not been for a couple of years. We had been regulars at the Banyan Restaurant but due to the lack of activity they would seat us in the bar which when busy was noisy and had bad service. We decided to give it another shot. The restaurant was still empty and we decided to eat in the bar anyway since it wasn't busy. We actually had a nice experience. The burgers were excellent and the piano player was pleasant. We'll be back and if not busy will stay for dinner.

Pool was big with nice waterfalls but needed to be refinished. My feet have bilsters everywhere. We also had a suite but both double beds were truly hard as a slab of stone. Also room service never brought requested towels to us. We had to use the towels from the pool area.

Overall I'd say this hotel is pretty decent. The hotel was clean with huge rooms although it does feel pretty dated. It's rather far removed location wise from everything around it but we were planning on going to the everglades area the next day so it worked well for that.

Really glad we only booked one night here. They have kitchens but nothing in the kitchen to use except two small glasses. If you bring a bottle of wine good luck opening it. Ice machine in building 7 broken. Beds not comfortable. Not in a great location if you are looking for a variety of good restaurants and bars and any decent nightlife. It is not close to Fort Lauderdale. The lobby area is nice but the rest of the place does not live up to that. Pool area is just okay. Not a great amount of area for catching sun. No good views from the rooms. I would say the way it appears on the website is not at all what you will experience.

I Will NEVER stay here again. This was my first and last stay. First of all, it was prom night and they opened their doors to the prom. Kids running around fighting, yelling, crying, throwing trash around. Now if that wasn t bad enough, we got locked out on the balcony. We locked the front door, walked out onto the balcony, shut the door behind us and it locked! Thankfully we had our phone on us and called the front desk. Oh yeah, it takes them forever to answer the front desk phone (there was more than one phone call). Anyway, security showed up and couldn t get the door open, they called the police to come help. The police were finally able to break in and come open the balcony door for us. We had a full kitchen, No silverware, No plates, No anything. WTH? How do you have a full kitchen and nothing in it? Went down for breakfast the next morning. First of all, the place was trashed from the night before. They had only just begun cleaning at 7 AM even though the party had been over several hours before. Now, it only gets better. OMG! I had a serving of eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 pieces of watermelon, and 3 pieces of pineapple. My husband had the same. $41.17!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I have never stayed in a hotel that had a kitchen and supplied nothing. Nor have I ever stayed in a hotel that charged me $41.00 for breakfast! The pool was not heated like it stated on the website. The hot tub was only large enough for 2-3 people. This was no resort. I wouldn't even call it a good hotel. Back to the Marriot for me.

Definitely not 4 star resort! Semi friendly staff. Very strong stench (could be the carpet...idk) ice machine was broken in our building so we called to have some delivered. After an hour, I called again. My boyfriend decided to go to the next building to get it. Finally after another hr had passed, the bellman shows with a bag of ice (semi melted). The tv hardly worked. The picture would get fuzzy then the sound would fade as well.

Hotel experience certainly lacking... will not come back for second stay.

Large expansive nice campus but needs some upgrades and attention. Outdated TV's, low end finishing for several areas. Broken bathroom stall, empty soap, empty air fresheners. Basically the maintenance department needs a revamp.
Comfortable beds, nice open rooms great catering food.
Morning construction. For the potential this place could do a lot better. Ok food and really slow service. Booked a venue for 150 people so they knew how many would be here. Really really slow food and bar. Sooooooooo slow

Like going back in time. Rooms feel like a skungy buffalo airport motel. On a nostalgic note the TV was a tube TV from the 90's. They don't allow for cancellations for obvious reasons, wish we would have paid more attention to the negative reviews.

The best hotel in Weston! Rooms are always clean and tidy, breakfast is very comprehensive, attentive MEGA staff, breathtaking main pool (and it has a bar), has bikes that are available to guests for a walk to the park, shuttle service to Sawgrass, restaurant wonderful, great bar for a drink while the pianist plays classics of rock, jazz and American music. It has a wonderful spa, valet service and other facilities

It smells funny, like a room that's been closed for years. There is a 1996 tv and lamps in here. I usually stay at Hilton Resorts but this is not a resort style room AT ALL. I have been at Comfort Suites with better rooms. There is only one wash cloth and we have a double bed unit. The balcony is nice, which is the only reason I gave two stars. NEVER AGAIN.

I have been here with friends and loved it but recently I went for my daughters bday and the room had fruit flies and what looked to be pink body wash all over the shower. The room definitely wasnt cleaned properly. When I informed the staff she apologized and said they would clean the room but only wrote down empty and clean for the staff and never made a note of the fruit flies or the dirty shower.

The staff is great. The rooms are NOWHERE near as nice as the pictures. ( "Flat screen" tube TV)

The Wifi connection is Spotty unless you pay $10.99 a day...

Ultimately I had a comfortable room, and okay experience, but I would suggest you come with tempered expectations.

A family member had passed away within the family in florida and we were familiar with the staff, so they had catered a family dinner. The food and people working there were great, minus the 3 hour wait after our appetizers for our entree. Still great place and people, would highly recommend.

The rooms were great with the kitchenette. Very clean & large rooms. Only negatives I have is bed mattress was very stiff & resort doesn't supply any dishes, silverware, or pots & pans to cook meals with in the rooms with kitchenettes.

This place is no "resort". It might have been 20-30 years ago; but not today. It's just barely descent but it's not well taken care of. Our room seemed pretty clean. The bed was uncomfortable. The neighbors were noisy for a while (thin walls I guess), but then early in the morning as people were starting their day, we could hear every noise within 20 feet of our door. Even if people were talking quietly or just walking by. I realized I could see light all around the door with almost a half inch gap at the bottom, so it's no wonder we were hearing everything.
We requested late check out, which means 12:30pm. But at 11: 01am and then again at 11:05, the cleaning lady knocks on our door (even though the do not disturb sign was on the door). I opened the door and told her we requested late check out and she just said "oh, sorry. Nobody told me."
There are better hotels if you drive a few minutes. I wouldn't stay here next time even if the conference is held at this place. For the same money, you can get a nicer place nearby.

Not much is provided for the price. The complimentary internet is less than 1MB down. No breakfast. Just really expensive and they just keep nickel and diming for things less expensive places provide for free.

We booked a single night at Bonaventure through Hotwire for a last minute stay. To say the least, we were pleasantly surprised.

The good: The hotel grounds, lobby, room, and pool area were gorgeous. We asked for a refrigerator for our room and they promptly brought one up for free. We had breakfast at the restaurant and it was delicious. The outdoor pool area is surrounded by a tropical garden.

The bad: Standard prices for the hotel seem a bit high. We booked through Hotwire and got a great price. The restaurant prices were slightly high as well. The hotel is located in Weston, FL, which is a 10 to 15 minute drive to the ocean.

Overall: We wish we had more time to enjoy this hotel.

It's not really a 4 star resort. The rooms are okay. The place is dated. But we got a good price. The pool area is really cool but due to covid some stuff is closed (like the hot tub). I did love the decor though, great Jurassic Park vibes. And the staff was super amazing. Very nice people.

I would give 4 stars were it not for the breakfast. The resort advertised a free continental breakfast but then we were immediately dissuaded from doing that and told that we should order from the menu and we would be given a $15 credit towards our breakfast. To be honest, just give it all a miss. The food was awful and overpriced. There was only one waiter for the whole area and he was definitely over capacity.

The food and service here is always top tier. The chef always makes the steaks just right. Get the lobster fries and get your steak Pittsburgh style. The atmosphere isn't a fun and exciting place, but it's very cozy and detailed. Not cheap, but always worth it.

Hello to everyone... It's been a while since I sta...

Hello to everyone... It's been a while since I stayed here in the Bonaventure, but I had to speak up. The company I work for sends us to Weston for training, for Wich 90% of the time we stay at the Bonaventure resort. This last time my experience was not the best. Here is why...
My manager sent the credit card confirmation form to the hotel a month prior to me checking in. On the day I arrived the hotel asked me for my credit card for the security deposit. This is something I don't agree of but at the end of the day you have to do it. They told me the deposit was $100, that will be deposited back after checkout. I checked in on a sunday. As the week is going I am talking to my fiancee and we end up looking into our bank account, in Wich I see a charge of 500 and 40 something dollars... Immediately I blew a fuse. What in the world is this hotel making a almost $600 charge to me?????? So I walk to the front counter and meet a gentleman by the name of Patric, I explained the situation and he looks it up. Well the problem was the didn't have the credit card form to do the charge for the room. Ok then let me call my boss to see what happened... When I call my boss he tells me he sent it a month prior and even sends the hotel for the second time the form and senda me a copy of the original email Wich has the date and time it was sent. What my boss told me is true, he sent it a month prior. So I walk back to the lobby and talk to Patric again, show him the new information. Patric told me his boss was going to fix the problem the next day. Well the next day after training I go to the lobby to make sure all is fixed and the money is back on my account... It is not.

Now I want to make clear, my experience wasn't the greatest but this man Patric is a great asset to this hotel... He went above and beyond to make sure my problem was fixed. Patric with the information that he has now calls the bank and we must have spent at least an hour on the phone with the bank who is making everything beyond a hassle. Eventually I get tired of waiting, this hole time Patric is telling me go relax I will take care of this tonight. This man is still on the phone and they are bouncing us from person to person. Eventually I said to him, " Patric forget about it, I appreciate your hard work and the fact you want to fix my problem but at this point is beyond our control... Let's call it a night".

I left to my room and next day the funds are back in my account.
If I could say something about this hotel is that the employees are awesome. Patric you are the MVP of Bonaventure and I hope God bless you tremendousl.
Good personable people who can understand your problem even when is their fault make a huge difference and Patric is one of those.!!!!

It was my first time coming in and I came on a busy Saturday night! The bar area was super spacious which was great because people weren't overcrowded. I didn't know what drink to order and the bartender Steven suggested a Long Island! It tasted great and perfectly blended to my liking. He was very friendly so it made the environment very welcoming as well. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends!
