I took a belly dancing class that was hosted at the spa. Was a very welcoming and relaxing environment

It seems that this resort and spa may have seen better days. I came here for the OR Business Manager conference. Besides the shotty condition of the hotel room facilities, the customer service has been absolutely horrible.
The wireless Internet connectivity is either poor or non-existent for what I understand to be a large portion of the conference population staying at the facility. They do not offer a hard line.
Myself, members of my party, and many others have noted that they have been blown off multiple times by the hotel staff. Not only by the "IT guy", but also by the front desk staff and management. It is my opinion that the front desk staff that I spoke to were rude and snarky in trying to get a tempory fix for connectivity.
If they treat healthcare directors and managers from around the country this way, I can only imagine the complacency they extend to their "typical" customer.
I get the impression that this conference will not return to the "Bonaventure Spa" in the future.

Rooms need some updating. The walls are very thin, could hear the people next to us all night. The kitchen in the double room had no dishes, silverware, paper towels, etc. the WI-FI was down the whole time. The property was beautiful though.

High class resort, clean, quiet, you usually do not see kids here. Great bar.

The scenery was beautiful everywhere. The pool setup was amazing!! The staff was nice and pleasant. They try to place all the minorities in building 9; which is all the way in the back but I would not allow it. There is no contact back there and the walkway phone do not work. My keys kept deactivating and it took 25 minutes before I decided to walk up to the front desk. No one came to unlock the door. By the time I got to the front, they were just sending someone to me. The rooms are sooo substandard compared to the rooms upfront. I requested a room change in the front area and it was soo much better. They actually have security for the front buildings. If you have to stay here just request a room up front, Buildings 1- 3. The restaurant food is okay, but definitely overpriced. The vouchers we received just barely covered the tip- $10. Breakfast buffet is similar to most hotels and the price is $25. Yesss $25. You do get a microwave, stovetop, and small refrigerator so I suggest using it.

Not updated, old dusty carpets in the room. If you re looking for a fancy upgraded hotel, this isn t it.

Great place! Relaxing and always busy with conferences. Parking can be an headache, especially when there is additional entertainments.

Clean rooms, very spacious and great equipment with very adequate parking

The room we stayed in was not up to par. We even paid for an upgrade and got 2 full beds for 4 people. We couldn't get more than 3 towels. The carpet was so disgusting that we had to keep our shoes on the whole time. The shower wouldn't drain and kept filling up with water so we couldn't even shower. I am giving this place 3 stars because of everything else on the resort. The pool was wonderful, plenty of chairs and room. The hot tub was enjoyable, just very rough on your feet. The restaurant food was great for lunch and dinner, very pricey, but for breakfast it was a buffet and they charged us $17 per person and gratuity when it was a buffet. The breakfast good was not good. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I definitely was disappointed with this place. The room smelled horrible like and an old vacant hotel! There were some sort of flying insects in the shower area flying around. Some were just at the top of the ceiling that we couldn t get rid of. It didn t smell clean neither did it look really clean! Also had about 4 towels but only 1 wash cloth for 2 people. The was no small refrigerator or microwave either. My husband brought this to there attention when we checked out but they didn t do anything. It s definitely not worth the $$$! You don t get what you pay for!

Bad bad bad experience, front desk service Joshua was very rude when I arrived, for no reason. I waited over an hour for my room to be ready and when I got to my room it was dirty and they didn t bother cleaning up some medication from the floor, carpet was dirty and the room smelled like mold. The hotel is very old def not a 4 star hotel. Several coworkers who stayed at the hotel had the same complaints about the rude staff, dirty rooms, no hot water in the room, etc.

My wife (Tren Edwards Event Design) decorated for the 2019 Miramar High School prom. Very nice venue.

My wife and I had an excellent experience at the Bonaventure Resort and Spa. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. The front desk was very helpful and nice answering our questions. The entire hotel was well kept and clean. The room had all the amenities we needed. Highly recommend visiting the onsite spa. Many different spa options to choose. The pool area is very delightful with a waterfall. We will definitely be staying here again when in area!

I stayed August 28-31, 2020. I was taking a staycation/virtual retreat in my suite that was upgraded (Complimentary on the resort)! The suite I stayed in was a bit dated, I would update rooms for technology (such as more convenient outlets) of today, in general very well kept, maintained, and clean. Given the situation of everything right now, The staff and Food was Great! I had breakfast, delicious! Lunch by the pool, great!, Dinner at the Steakhouse, Was amazing! I was solo the whole time and enjoyed treating myself, I would recommend for anyone looking to getaway and be able to still use the amenities on property. The only downside was the spa is closed because of Covid. I will return to use the spa when they open for sure. I would return once Covid is gone to see what the property is like when running at 100%. I do not remember all the staff name, But I am very happy with the service provided by the staff given the circumstances, Thank You!

Went there for a church service meeting, didn't have a chance to know all the amenities, but the little I've seen, and really liked it

The place is very nice. The people there are very helpful and they are a great venue. However their parking is horrible.

My family was happy with our stay everything was just as described on the site, Just Beautiful.

Ok hotel. Nothing more. Worst wifi I've ever experienced. Rooms smell like an old basement...they should rip out that rug. Food was good. Rooms were clean. Staff was nice.

Not really sure how to start the review. Most important, I would never recommend this hotel to others because of the horrible customer service. Me and my family been traveling for very often. First and also worst customer service ever seen. First of all the location might be one that can earn the highest rated among all the other factors. I gave 3 star to the location. The staff here is horrible. The front desk guy is an man who pnly concern about rules rules rules. If you get locked your room, then you would have to find the person who was in the reservation even they know you guys are family. Such a foolish and inhuman thought. And be careful with your belongs. People do open your door even you hang your privacy card on the door. Have no idea what they are doing. People who work here have no respect to others.

I would never comeback or reconmend any one to live here. Save your money find somewhere else.

The roomthat i stayed in was very close to a drench very unsafe not fence or wall to block it off from young children or robbers late at night you can barely ses that your a few steps away from water. No microwave or refrigerator in the rooms i had to walk far to the catetiria to heat my food the light in the bathroom was coming down and the water in the shower was over flowing it took forever to let the water drain out i was displeased but it is a beautiful place just not safe at all

Best place i ever been to it was super nice and very far from me but it was the best place to have a family reunion i love the fact that junkanoo was out there and the family was having a great time. I'm going to have my family reunion there and hope it was live like it was there that night.

The staff was very friendly and extremely accomodating. In my opinion the room was dated. Housekeeping should put a little more detail in their cleaning.

A very comfortable and spacious place for social events

This hotel is AWESOME... Our room was upgraded to a suite and it was total luxury. The food in the Ireland Steak House is to die for albeit a bit pricey.

Super disappointed with bar waitress. Took a good 15 minutes just to be acknowledged of being present. Then a good 15-20 minutes before getting a drink, then she forgot to bring water and food menu. Then water another 20 minutes went bye and then had to get up and go to the bar tender for a drink that was ordered only to find out it was sitting on the bar for the last 15 minutes. Food was good after waiting a long time for it. Overall service was really poor. Would not return after the experience we had. Hopefully a manger will read this and do something about the quality of service.

Quiet place Comfortable rooms with kitchinet. Free parking. 20 minutes from everything. Excellent.

The Resort is Nice and the Bar and Bartender but i had a view of the parking lot and being that it was my first time going to Florida I would have liked to have a better View

We had a suite and it was very spacious and comfortable. It definitely needs some upgrading, the king bed was on 2 twin box springs which made it unstable and the tv's were very old, one had lines running across it which made it difficult to watch. Also, the view was pretty with a lake but had construction equipment ruining it. I would stay again, we got it for a very low rate so I'm not sure how happy I'd be if we paid like 150 a night or more.

This resort is huge but at the same time the way it s built makes you feel like it s a private small place. Though I can t tell you how the conference rooms or event building is like. The room was perfect though was weird that they had a kitchen with no way to get utensils. I just had drinks and small plates at there steakhouse all delicious. There patio bar closes at four even though the pool is open tell sundown not convenient. Especially when told otherwise. The rooms are nice and comfortable beds. Great nature pathways around the resort leading to the pools and other buildings. The spa is also pretty good. The massage I had wasn t the best but the nail technician is amazing!!

A little dated, but a nice daycation for a local with a resort pass who wants a pool with great drinks.

For being a resort is not an impressive place the beds are tiny and horrible very costly place.

It's like having an uncle in the hotel business. Not Fancy. Good. Reliable. We keep coming back. Free upgrades not unusual. Nice pool. Rarely crowded. No annoying neighbors.

Nice place, a bit dated. Room had no fridge or microwave, although others did. Has to ask at front desk. They're apparently not a universal amenity.

It is ma second time that we stayed in the hotel and it is beautiful., the rooms and the bathroom super large, the bed fluffy and everything impeccable.

They leave you toiletries in the bathroom divine, it's nice to stay in a place like that.

If you arrive very late x the night it is difficult to find parking pq the hotel is very large.

The room was definitely overpriced at $179 per night. We were supposed to receive a discount because we were there for a work conference. The room smelled exactly like an old, wet, moldy basement. There was one window, but because it was in the corner of two buildings the room was very dark and closed in. The room felt very dark, dirty, and dingy. The absolute best part of the resort was the staff. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond. I heard over and over, "I just want you to to be happy." From tracking down a pop I liked, to getting me coffee with cream, they were awesome.

I will start with saying this place is amazing, yes it's a little bit older now but I honestly love the feel, the newer hotels/resorts just feel more pressured and uppity, being next to the Everglades this is a PERFECT fit and I absolutely love it. Wish there was a fridge but for the money definitely worth the stay vs the competitors! I actually booked a second night and I'm bringing the family down to experience it and the Everglades national park with me! I will definitely be back when I'm back in the area!
