Salesman Jacob Rhodes assisted me with my BMW purchase. He was very professional throughout the entire transaction, but what stands out the most is that he followed up a week later to ensure I was enjoying my ride. I recommend that you ask for him.

A follow-up review 4/27/17 - I cannot say enough about Jacob Rhodes going well above his area of responsibility to assist me with getting an issue fixed on my car. It says a lot about his character in doing the right thing.

I purchased a pre-owned, certified i3 after finding it online. Miguel, the internet sales manager, was responsive and worked with me to get it to the price point I needed. Biju, the sales person, was very sweet and hard working. Greg, the finance person, was knowledgeable and a joy to talk to. He did not pressure us to purchase upgrades. There were bumps along the way, like a spot on the car that needed to be fixed, but it was as good of a car buying experience as you can ask for.

I had an excellent experience working with Biju Pillai and Angad Chhina this weekend. It was our first time getting a car and we had lots of questions. They not only stayed till 10:30 on a Friday night but were extremely patient answering all our questions and making sure that we left satisfied. Biju is an absolute gem to work with, his enthusiasm and admiration for BMW made us so excited to drive the "ultimate driving machine." And the cars truly are---it's incredible the difference that comfort, eco, and sports mode brings---it truly is a luxury car. He also went above and beyond to find a car that suited all our needs in our price range which was extremely helpful. Angad was extremely patient and kind which made our experience at BMW of San Antonio the best. I highly recommend both of them for their excellent service and kindness.

Do yourselves a favor and don't buy a BMW here. I leased a 2018 X5 here almost five weeks ago and I still do not have ANY of my lease paperwork. My emails and calls asking both Jared Dodds and his sales manager Joe Barraza for my lease paperwork and I keep getting told it will be mailed shortly. I've even called the GM who never returned my call.

I've never seen such pathetic customer service. Run from this dealer as paying less than other dealers is not worth this headache and complete waste of my time chasing these fools.

To provide an update, the dealership finally did get me all my documents I had been requested so this issue has been resolved.

Worst service i have ever recieved! Came in for an oil change (not to mention it had to be an appointment) took all day! Came back to pick it up took an hour and a half for them to still get it ready! Get inside the vehicle and notice the car is hesitating and theres still a service engine light on and an error picture with the "car on lift" didnt think much of it, so got the serice tech and told him about it, he then got a tech to clear the code, 15 minutes later driving home the lights and same picture come back on i call but it was late they closed for the day, the next morning i start the car same lights and notifications are on i call them and the service tech was supposed to call me back and they never called i was busy at work for that whole day so i couldnt really give them another call to find out or explain. So the next morning (today) i go out of my way and miss work to take it to them and the service guy tells me its the ignition coils or valve gasket and they are basically going to charge me again for more stuff and i tell him this is the way i received my vehicle back i have never mis-abused the car and it has been great to me and always taken car of and he gives me this excuse that the oil change has nothing to do with this issue, but i had the car in good working condition and now i have to possibly replace several parts on it, i would not recommend this place to get any service done at all i did not like the greating i received from the second service assistant i just asked him to check it to make sure they didnt forget to do something and he right away told me he used to be a mechanic and the ignition coils and valve gasket will need to be changed, but how can he be a mechanic when he works as a service assistance i call bs, i am sure they forgot something or accidentally forgot something but they just dont want to own up to it, which is fine mistakes happen and its understandable but to try to charge me is ridiculous, stay away from this service department this was the first time going here to this location for service and i would not recommend it, i feel i came in for a oil change and now they are trying to get more money out of me by messing with something on my car! The sad part is me and my wife were actually looking for a second bmw at this location so unfortunately for them they lost our trust and future business! I wish i can give it negative stars because right now this place deserves it!

The people at the dealership are really friendly. However I didn t enjoy arriving for my scheduled appointment/ oil change to wait two hours and then be drove down the road to be put me in a Enterprise rental car! It was a very used Nissan with dinghy fabric seats!! I had to give them my CC information to hold in case I didn t return it on time. I didn t like that at all! So I won t be doing that again. With my next lease I think I ll go with Audi.

The employees act as if they are entitled customers! The parts are over priced and vehicles are over priced! You can drive out of San Antonio to a completely different city, purchase a car and drive back; all while still spending less money and getting extremely better customer service!

YOU CAN START CHANGING YOUR METHOD OF ANSWERING THE PHONE. YOU ARE HARASSING CUSTOMERS OVER THEIR VIN NUMBER BEFORE THEY EVEN HAD A CHANCE TO SPEAK WITH A PARTS REPRESENTATIVE. YOU ARE THE ONLY "ONLY" STORE THAT DOES THIS. ABSOLUTELY RUDE PISS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Had a fast and painless experience with Jacob Rho...

Had a fast and painless experience with Jacob Rhodes as my salesman today. He was super helpful and told it to me straight as far as pricing and warranty on my new BMW. If you need to get a new car and are looking for something specific and/or need help finding the best deal for you- he's the guy you need to ask for.
Before I came in, I made an inquiry online about a used Audi, he called me shortly after to set up a time to test drive. He ended up showing me a nicer car with better mileage, better features, and a better warranty; And ultimately, I went in and came out with a better car (CPO 2012 BMW 3 Series) with better payments and free car washes whenever I please as well as free servicing with my warranty. The process was so pain free and I was so impressed with the customer service, that I came back to buy another car a week later from him. I told him what I needed my car payments to be, what I could afford to put down, and what color car I wanted and he had it all ready for me by the time I got into the dealership, all I had to do was sign. I got a brand new 2016 BMW 3 Series and walked away feeling like I had won the lottery.
In previous experiences with other dealerships, I felt weary and had salesmen that clearly just wanted to sell me on a car they could make the most money off of me for, and I have walked away feeling ripped off. Jake, on the other hand, was very straightforward with me from the get go and was very responsive with all of my questions via email and text messaging before the purchase of my second vehicle. When I called him, he would answer immediately, or get back to me right away - always very friendly, respectful of my time, and honest. In the future, I will not be getting a car from anyone else, and I advise everyone to do the same. I could tell I had landed myself with the best salesman at the dealership by the way he handled both of my sales and his relationships with other employees. He made sure that everyone worked with me respectfully, and I was very satisfied with how stress free the entire process went.
If you're serious about getting a car for the best deal and have always dreamed of getting in a BMW- come to this location and ask for Jake, I was extremely impressed to say the least.

OK, I just removed the Airport BMW review and am adding this one for the new location at I-10 and 1604: Just took a car in recently for routine service. There are no signs indicating how to get to the service lanes, you have to know where they are, otherwise you end up driving around into the Mini service area, which I did, and had to turn around. Entering the service lanes you drive over plates that inspect either your tire tread (according to the service advisor) or the alignment (according to the displays above each lane), but I was told they're not exactly working yet. Service advisors are crammed four into small glassed-in cattle chutes with computers; having completed your business there, you pass through to a very sterile white reception area; here is where the layout really falters - to get to the waiting and sales area you have to pass back across the service lanes, dodging incoming cars and in my case a zamboni-type floor cleaner. Poor design! The sales area is immense, with really tall ceilings, 20 feet or more, and lots of glass , salesmen are scattered around at desks among the cars. Again, white and antiseptic aesthetics, same at the snack area. Cool jazz is constantly playing, probably a bit louder than what most would consider background music. Overall effect of design, finishes, music is probably planned to appeal to some kind of "sophisticated" market segment. In case it's not clear, I wasn't terribly impressed, and feel sorry for the employees who have to spend the whole day there. On the other hand, maybe they like it as it might be better than the old place.

Last August I purchased my 320i from BMW of San An...

Last August I purchased my 320i from BMW of San Antonio. When I began my car search I knew I wanted a higher end vehicle but was hesitant to go to a dealership based on rumors and my own impression that I might have to pay more than I wanted. My Dad always had a BMW growing up so I thought about purchasing a brand that was new to me. I visited Mercedes and test drove a C250 and it was a nice car but personally it just didn't meet my expectations. Then, after multiple failed attempt's to find my winner vehicle through carmax and a few used dealerships I decided to go visit BMW. When I walked in the show room I was kindly greeted by one of the sales advisors and I told him my budget and what I was looking for. I was very satisfied with the options Jay Cruz picked out for me based on the preference parameters I gave him. We test drove the 320i and I loved it. It has been almost a year and I have had nothing but confidence driving a few times to Austin, Houston and around town in my BMW. I enjoy the option to speak with the BMW geniuses as well as contacting Jay if I ever have minor questions. I look back and although I thought I liked the idea of purchasing from outside the dealership setting, I am happy to have a 'membership' like affiliation at a reputable location. When I go to BMW I feel comfortable and safe waiting to get my oil changed, get a car wash (which are free which is really great! haha) or speak to someone about my different car features and just having my car under warranty. If you are considering purchasing a BMW I would definitely recommend BMW of San Antonio because the service and comfort you get 1,2,5 years later is what you're really paying for, at least that's how it's been for me. Thank you everyone who has helped me at this location! Go Texans! - Shelia

My sales rep Don Wilkinson was responsive and did all he could. However, the rest of the team is below standard.

1. A certified vehicle is listed for sale but is not ready to be seen. If i wanted to buy it TODAY, i couldn't. Furthermore, days later its still not ready to be seen and the 'make ready' will be done until Wednesday which woild be almost a week since i have expressed interest!!

2. I call the dealership and the receptionist kept me on hold for 8 minutes. Now, i understand that Don could be with a customer, gone for the day, etc. However I couldn't tell you, because she hung up on me!

Future customers you know what i experienced. I will take my pre approved financing to a dealer that wants to earn my business.

BTW, I am an Audi owner that was willing to become a BMW enthusiast!

Im disappointed!!

I spent around $50,000 on a "certified" pre-owned ...

I spent around $50,000 on a "certified" pre-owned X5. After driving it for approximately 10 months, I received a drivetrain warning and called the dealership immediately asking for service. They pushed back on me taking it in, saying there was no way they could fit me in the schedule soon. After I explained the situation again and reiterated that my car was stuttering with a drivetrain warning, they admitted my car the next day.

Fast forward about a week, I receive a call saying that my car was ready for pick-up. I cut my schedule off early and made my way to the dealership in the evening to pick up my car. It still has the same issue when I drive it out. U-turn. They give me a better loaner (not sure why), though it still isn't close to having my car back.

Two weeks later (+ a little more), I hear back from Ryan. Apparently I need to replace all of the spark plugs for $775. My research indicates that spark plugs have a lifetime of around 100,000 miles. My car has about half of that. So, to summarize, I bought a vehicle that is "certified" by BMW, I drive it for around 10 months, and I now have to shell out $775 before tax to make the engine function properly. Oh, and it took them over 2 weeks to come to this conclusion. Yes, it is my fault - I should have read the paperwork. However, I have been out of my vehicle for 2 weeks for them to make a very simple diagnosis of spark plug replacement. My service adviser has not been responsive. There is also no guarantee that it will fix the issue (they didn't get it right the first time). What happens when it doesn't fix the issue for my un-driveable (but somehow "certified") vehicle? I don't have any confidence in this process.

Do your research, folks. Figure out what "certified" means. It doesn't mean that basic components will function (or be covered under warranty). This dealership will also string you along for weeks without your vehicle. I'd encourage you to spend less on an "un-certified" vehicle. I still own my Mercedes E550, which still works and has been fairly serviced in warranty by MB of San Antonio. I pay extra $$ to purchase at the dealership and skip the hassle. But, BMW of San Antonio just doesn't seem to eliminate the headache.

It is rare that I give a business or person a 5 Star Review, but the service and personable care we received by Lisa Robinson and the entire team at BMW SA was AMAZING!! Lisa made car buying FUN! I've been patiently waiting for over a year for my airbag recall. Every time I've called to inquire on the timing of BMW San Antonio's airbag inventory, I've been told to await my letter from BMW North America. I received it and called today and was told to call back in a month to see if they have it in inventory and then schedule an appointment. I can't believe how horrible BMW of San Antonio's service is.

Paperwork etc didn't take long (do your credit Application online to save some time). Theresa is new but very knowledgeable and experienced. I do appreciate everyone who helped me get in and out. I am extremely disappointed with my last service appointment with BMW of San Antonio. The check-in process was fine. The service video was informative, but the repeated pressure to purchase overpriced tires was unwelcome. I should be allowed to say No and look for better prices, without being hassled. In addition, when I brought back the loaner the BMW concierge were standing around talking to each other instead of helping waiting paying customers. They took time that I did not have to give.

Felt like I was being rushed to the exit. Instead of answering my questions nicely, my questions were treated more like annoyances. Got a 4 wheel alignment which was done badly and tires were still wearing so I had to get another one done at a different BMW to fix the issue. Customer service did not meet my expectations for a BMW shop nor did the actual work done.

Also, beware, they LIE ABOUT REPAIR COSTS. They said my tie rods were bent and so was the steering rack. They wanted $4500 for the repair. When I took it to a different BMW in a different state, they said the tie rods were fine and steering rack was fine. I got my steering issue fixed with an alignment. Liars and thieves and impatient and incompetent. Never again.

I have been a loyal BMW/Mini San Antonio customer ...

I have been a loyal BMW/Mini San Antonio customer for over 20 years and again you have exceeded my expectations. The quality and training of your personnel is exceptional. After the move to the new fabulous location the dealership has stepped it up again. My service advisor Mohammad Dmour recommended Chris Quincena in sales when I asked for someone to talk to about ordering a new car.
Chris is a very knowledgeable and likeable client advisor. He helped me select the model we were looking for and was extremely familiar with the special ordering process. Luckily we were able to order a new 2020 model X5 4.0 with the exact features and color we wanted to replace our current 2012 X5, which has been a great car. The process was painless and the car was built and delivered in less than six weeks time.
We traded in two BMW's and received good value, the lease financing process was also painless and a good job was done by Michael Whipple.
Chris spent some quality time with me and my wife at delivery, explaining the new technology and features.
We highly recommend BMW San Antonio, especially the new facility and their well trained and professional staff.
As someone who was in the client service and financial industry for 40 years I am very pleased to see the level of professional service and training you have in your personnel.
I might also mention that the service provided by the BMW staff, especially Mohammad Dmour was excellent.

I hate bringing my car here! Every single time you...

I hate bringing my car here! Every single time you take it in for one problem and low and behold less then a week later something else goes out or is a problem. This was just my past experience. Just last week my husband dropped off my car for what we suspected the transmission was failing as one mechanic told us but we wanted a second opinion to be certain, so we took it to the BMW to have them check it out. My husband informed the technichian of the issue and what another certified BMW technician at another shop told us what the issue was and the amount of $14,000 was what it was going to cost to repair it, we declined to put that amount of money in the car.
At the actual BMW shop after having it for over a week, they called and said that they identified the problem...air was getting into the part that holds the transmission fluid which was causing it to stall and that it was $6,000 we declined to have the work done. The tech said "let me see what I can do" he then calls back and say $4800 my husband agreed. Went to pick up the car, the car was filthy and the service light was still on. The technician who "supposedly" did the job wasnt working the day of pickup (Saturday) so we had to leave it there over the weekend. That Monday we get a text message stating that part of the service (referring to the service lifht) is separate and that it will be a overall total of $5800 to pick up...wait, what?!!! We go to pick it up. We pick it up, while driving home i noticed that the car was sounding really loud an almost hard straining sound. We took it back in less than 24hrs and they keep it for 2 more days, pick it up again in less than an hour into driving it starts stalling while I'm on the highway with my child and friend. I pull over and call my husband to come get us, we switch cars and he takes it back to BMW in less than another 24 hrs and they give us a loner. Now they have the car for 5 days and they call to say Oh its ur transmission it will cost an additional $9000! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME! THE AMOUNT WE WERE NOT GOING TO PUT INTO THE CAR! ARE U SERIOUS! I flipped. My husband stated they offered $500 back of the $5800 already paid. When they took it for repair the first time they knew DAMN WELL it was the transmission but knew we were not going to put that kind of money into it and just milked us for whatever they could get which is why the freaking price went from $6000 to $4800 and was hoping that it would hold up long enough so when we did bring it back they could slap us with the TRANSMISSION BIT and knew we were not going to pay for a new transmission and decided to go with whatever they could get from us. The manager calls us to state that the technician went over the service with us that if whatever he did to it doesn't work then the car would need a transmission. HE NEVER MENTIONED THAT AT ALL! WE TOLD HIM ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION! LIAR!!!! But the snake put on the repair slip that he went over that before they initially did any repair. If he had said that we would have told him NEVER MIND! The other certified BMW technician at a non BMW shop but specializes in BMW fixed it temporarily to get it back home...the same thing this shop did, just did a quick fix crap to milk us for our money and offer a piss amount back for gauging us out our hard earned money. We are both retired and cant afford $14000 in repairs...hell we could get a new car! They then send a text message of another automechanic that can do the transmission FOR WHAT? IS HE CHEAPER?OR HE DOES SUBPARR WORK?! WHAT?! Then the snake in the grass mechanic says he can fix the lights to where they don't come on and we can take it to CarMax to trade it in on something newer WHAT IN THE HELL?!!!! THIS IS NOT OVER!!! I'M BEYOND PISSED! I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH NON PROFESSIONAL SERVICE IN MY LIFE! NEVER AGAIN!

I've ALWAYS had the 'pleasure' of working with pushy salesman at many dealerships and not to mention their outrages prices (some research can be done before hand to understand what the Lease numbers look like for certain Models) and their unwillingness to work with you or help you understand these numbers if you point out that something looks odd or outrageous.

Having said that, I actually had a lot of fun looking for a replacement with the help of Michael Polak. Not only did he help me find a fully loaded replacement that fit within my budget but also educated me more about pricing etc. Courteous and extremely well mannered, was relentless in getting me my deal once we narrowed down a choice. Go SEE this guy! Not to mention that he is super chill and will get on your wavelength. ABSOLUTELY made my time/ money worthwhile, already recommended him to co-workers.

The takeover by Principle Auto has really caused the quality of the service department to plummet. I had my car in service for 1 month. Through the first three weeks, I only received one update to tell me that they could not figure out what was causing the problem. After getting inpatient I started calling them and never got a hold of them. One day, I called and left voicemails with my service advisor and got nothing in return so I reached out to the manager. He called me the next day to tell me that my car was ready. They had to replace a hinge in the lower part of the steering column.

The next day, I went in to pick up my car and saw my service advisor running around. He came up to me and said, "I'm really sorry, but your paperwork isn't quite done and is in fact missing." I then sat around for another 40 minutes before my car was finally pulled up. I then drove off the lot and had a warning come on that said "driver control system malfunction." Despite messing with the steering column, they didn't think to check the alignment of my car! After paying $1100 for a relatively simple service, they didn't even offer to reimburse me at all. Upon pick up of my car two days later, the manager told me that he gave me the loaner car to make up for the mistake, but I already had a loaner so they weren't really giving me anything I didn't already have.

The best part of this experience was I met a couple from Austin that informed me they had owned BMWs since 2001 and had never been unsatisfied with the service department in Austin. I will more than likely be driving up there next time I need anything other than a routine service.

Bad customer service all around from the stuck up ...

Bad customer service all around from the stuck up person with a bad attitude answering the phone to the service and representatives in parts department that are very rude and obviously miserable. Are you getting paid to help customers or getting paid just to show up ? I have 3 bmw cars out of 7 vehicles and I regret it when I have to contact this dealer shop. Wish someone would change this problem.

Very disappointed....paid 1,800 for new valve cover * gaskets (albert) said that thats what Needed to be done because it was leaking oil from there Payed the 1800 for the service, brought my car home an hour later it's still leaking from the same place, I immediately called Albert to let him know about the situation I take my car in 2 days later they call me back saying it was something else (pump) now im not only 1800 in, but 80 more for the part. They replaced a pump that said was bad I come home and my car is still leaking oil from the same place I first took it in for,,,, Seemed to me now it's just a guessing game I am beyond upset because it's been 5 months and my car is still leaking oil from the same place. I have gotten in touch with albert And He has yet been able to fix my car sadly, I spoke to general manager and she said I Drove my car too many miles.... I mean isn't that what cars are for, regardless of how many miles I drive my car the problem had to be fix. I have been nothing but patient with these people my next step is Corporate.

I am very grateful the way Ricky, my service advisor, handled my service experience. I live in Laredo and they brought my serviced car by a small fee. The whole service experience was a very pleasant one. I highly recommend BMW of San Antonio and Ricky in particular to handle my Car Service needs in the future.

With the expert advise from Lisa I got the perfect BMW for me and a great deal on it. She was attentive and answered all of my many many questions. I had her running all over the dealership looking at so many different cars but she was a trooper. She even stayed very late to finish the deal and make sure my new car was ready to go. Thanks to her I am a happy new BMW owner and I have an awesome new friend! #GirlPower!!!

I was helped by Yvonne Garcia. Mrs. Garcia did an excellent job of explaining and demonstrating the many features and options available to me as a first-time BMW shopper. She helped me find the perfect car in my price range and went above and beyond to ensure that I had a positive car buying experience. For example, when I had discovered some glass in the trunk of the vehicle a few days after I had purchased it, Mrs. Garcia had my vehicle cleaned again at no expense to make sure I was satisfied with the condition of the vehicle. She was very kind and courteous and very patient with me. I will definitely be returning to Mrs. Garcia for all my future BMW shopping and purchases.

There is no option to give 0 stars otherwise I could have done that.
The dealer is very polite and pleasing while selling car but thing changes after you walk out of the door. Here is the scenario.
You walk into the store see and like the car. Then it comes to financing. You go to the Finance manager's cabin and everything changes. They force you to buy extra packages and warranty and scare you. Its personal choice and nobody can force you to buy the stuff you don't want to buy.
Thats one thing. Its totally different world when you cancel something and want refund for the service you have never used. I recently totaled my car and contacted BMW for the cancellation of my extended maintenence agreement and they told me that I will get full refund but I need to contact BMW of San Antonio, where I purchased the car. I contacted them since weeks and they are about to send me forms for cancellation. I have been waiting for weeks but did not hear back anything from them. It is fine if the number is small. However seems like they are not willing to give me a refund.
And 2595$ might be a small amount for them but not for me, specially after the devastating accident. :(
BMW cars are really good and so a company but they seriously needs to work on the dealers. I could have bought a new BMW after accident if I received a proper service from the dealer.
