Effectively functioning. But when it comes to hearing the problems of the land owners they are vague. Happened to meet one RTI initiator from a church where Vellara junction station is proposed. The congregation appears to be at the receiving end. They have already lost nearly two acres to the water board where a huge water tank is built. Now BMRCL is pestering for parting with one acre permanently for constructing underground station which the members of congregation has agreed to part with.
But another acre of land they are asking for dumping ground temporarily for five years which will consume most of the open area and block both the entrances and the parking area. The church congregation is reasonable in requesting to acquire bare minimum land but BMRCL appellate panel members were advising the person against going through RTI ACT and not to approach the CM or any other politician. Sounding strange.

I am waiting at the bus stop below the swami vivekananda road metro station. There is not a single chair or bench for weary travellers who transit between the metro and the feeder bus. Only the BMTC staff have a nice table and couple of chairs to work.

On 14 Aug we took a ride in Namma Metro. It was wonderful experience. But to maintain cleanliness and systematic way to exit and entry from metro trains, each individual should needs to contribute.

We reached in 28mins from Malleshwaram to Yelechenahalli. But took more than 2hours to reach our home from Yelechenahalli (where it is only 10mins drive) due to heavy rain.

Improvements:
1. Hardly dustbins were visible in the metro stations.
2. As Metro is new to all of us, the person who is checking the entry should be having lots patience to explain the procedure. One lady constable shouted at one of the boy who was not able to understand the way to get entry. Thats bad.
3. And all security guards who are there in the metro stations doesnt know Kannada, as all all from other states. We are Indians agree, but atleast they should understand and speak Kannada. If something happens to somebody he should be able to understand to help out.
4. Parking should nee to have some shelter due to rain it was so difficult to get into car or take our bikes.

Thanks for all the people who have worked for completing Namma Metro work. Salute the work done.

And request all the people who travels to keep the train clean. Request to be little disciplined while entering or coming out the train. Leave the place for elders, small kids and those who are physically challenged.

We can make India a very much better place to live.

Namma metro is the new lifeline of Bengaluru. It has reduced the commute time. It takes just about 30mins from majestic to byappanahalli that timing is impossible by road. Metro is also bringing people together. Bangalorians used often complain 'ashtu duura' - so far for all places not anymore. Its a breeze to travel by metro. Peak hours can get crowded and busy but during late morning and afternoons it is pretty relaxed. Staff are very good and customer oriented.

In Sir M visvesaraya metro station, They perform security check by making us stand on wooden board which is ridiculous ( if so follow same procedure in all other metro stations too ).Un necessary questions by securities which is nowhere seen in other metrostations.

'Namma Metro' has started its operations after a period of nearly 7 months which is an appreciable one. However there is no "Token based" facility at this time which has caused a lot of inconvenience to the regular commuters. Many people are unaware of the Smartcard facility. I see many of them who use keypad phones are unable to scan and pay for these Smartcards. They feel very frustrated. So I request the concerned authorities to come up with the token based facility as early as possible which would be helpful for everyone.

They have stopped giving out tokens and force everyone to take a metro card which isn't refundable.

Like the metro of many other countries, please make the metro card refundable or enable use of one time use tokens. It's very easy to sanitize a returned card.

The online recharge facility is also ridiculous and impractical.

Hi Guys kindly Beware of Fradulent phone calls from Bogus Fraudsters offering Jobs at Namma Metro. These Fraudsters Act in Accordance with the job notifications from the Official website of Namma Metro.

They will try to ask you to transfer 3500 rupees to account number sent over to you through messages ( VM- BANKAC) initially for Releasing Offer letter.

Once you have received the fake offer letter. These Fraudsters will be calling you using various mobile numbers and ask you to Transfer 10000 rupees for Salary Account Opening with SBI.
And the Numbers go on and on untill they have sqweezed 20000 to 30000 from you. After that they will turn off they entire mobile numbers.

Guys actually this is a very sensitive situation we are facing in Bangalore especially Namma Metro , such a reputed firm cannot even take care of Fraudsters who are misusing their official Website for Fraud .

Well, I should say service is exceprional. I had left behind my note book in the meteo with all most one year of my field work nored on it. This happened on 3rd December 2015 (/travel from nagasandra to sampige road). Today I just walked in to sampige road station and bingo I could get me more book back. Thanks for all the people who cooperated, especially people at enquiry counter and manager at operations room. Thank you. This approach will go long way in building a world class metro network iiBangalorer. Thanks again.

Making money by selling metro cards. everytime you travel you need to buy a new card. Recharging old card is not happening at ticket counter and if you try recharging online it will take 12hours of time.

Outdated website, to realise a payment they need 12 hours?? Where did you get your software done? Which payment gateway you using?

Wake up.. upgrade yoursf..

And if not traveling in 7 days your amount is gone.. wha wha wha.. kya policy hai.. covid ke naam pe looto logo ko..

Dear folks at BMRC,

Dear folks at BMRC,
I have had many positive experiences on the limited metro stretch between Indira Nagar and MG Road.
However, the metro authorities let me down badly on the evening of 22/12.
I boarded the metro at the Indiranagar station at 6:55 pm and reached the terminus (MG Rd), around 7:10 pm. I got out at the 'wrong' exit, namely the end near the maidan, leading to Cubbon Park and the Anil Kumble Circle.
To my shock, I found that MG Rd is now totally barricaded making it impossible to cross the road, as one used to previously. I went back and requested the agent one Mr. Raju to let me through to reach the other exit.
He was extremely rude. In fact, he behaved like an automated rule book--he informed me that metro policy made it necessary for me to swipe my smart card again, and waste Rs. 11+ to get to the other exit.
I don't mind the small wasted sum deducted from my smart card. What riles me is the attitude of your agent and the security guards.
When I swiped my card again and went upstairs to the other MG/Church St. exit, again I was stopped by security guards directing me to the platform. I had to explain all over again what happened.
Please conduct courses in customer service, basic courtesy, and passenger management for your personnel.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Prof. Raj Ayyar

Being an English speaking foreigner I was a bit apprehensive about jumping on a Bangalore Metro train. I used the metro to get around for sight seeing during my 9 night stay. I found it a very easy service to work out and use. I bought my tickets at the station. The announcements were clearly spoken in English and easy to understand- such as which side the doors will opening at the upcoming station. Much better than back home in Melbourne where you have no idea of what is being said.
Bravo Bangalore Metro - an easy to use cost effective way to get around !

It is an office of the BMRCL. Students who are seeking internship in metro need to contact this office. The staffs are co-operative. I recommend novice students to contact this office as early as possible; the number of students applying for internship is very large. Students normally go for 3 weeks internship. It depends on you interest and available time. All the best for internship.

I took Bangalore metro train from Jayanagar to Sandal soap factory (World Trade Centre). It was about 25 mins journey. If it had to travel by vechicle it would take more than 90 minutes depending on the traffic.I really found it was worth and was big relief from the heavy traffic. After metro construction it has become more convenient to travel across the Bangalore city. I wish all the other planned routes will be ready as soon as possible.

Every alternate month i have to face some or other problem at National College Metro Station, just because of the staff. I don't understand what work these staff are doing at the metro station. Today again i faced the incidence of Card machine not working, while i was recharging my metro card. Furthermore when everywhere in India UPI payments are taking place of cash, i don't know why the metro station do not offer this user friendly thing.
Every time when i have to recharge the card, there card accepting machine server would be down or either have no network, above all very rude nd lathargic behaviour of staff.

Please BMRCL do something of it, at least respect the Honorable Prime Minister's word and replace use of Cash.

Respected authorities, I have few request 's mentioned below.
i am regular traveler at metro train as per my observations noticed few tips that may help co-passengers.
Avoid pigeons coming inside dirtying (that may save revenue) by informing the staff's by chasing cloth pole to wave to chase away.
applying brake very hard that make's few standing passengers dis-comforts by banging on co-passengers.
Toilets are worst part with broken tiles, water leakage, dirty wash basin, urinal basin, floor etc...
For Next station Display or light blinking inside the train in the route map.
Most of the day time very large Q for ticket by activating few tickets counters closed.
By introducing DRESS CODE for both male & female.
on rainy days ceiling water leakage can be seen.
Busy timing need additional trains.

Thank You,
Shivakumar

I am from Tirupati who stay's in Chennai. Compared to Chennai Metro the population in Bangalore metro is very high that was something good to see. But I had a very horrible experience in Bangalore, I stayed in a hotel in Majestic and wanted to see MG Road. My friend suggested to take a Metro, I went to purchase a ticket in the Majestic ticket counter where I found a good looking lady with worst character. I asked her 4 tickets to MG Road in English and gave her my Card, she told me something in Kannada and I told her I don't know Kannada. she told me we don't accept cards. I was smiling and asking PM is continuous saying digital India digital India but you are not accepting cards and gave Rs.100. But her response was very rude and she told me in a rude manner next time when you come to namma metro you should learn Kannada and come (In Kannada). I was pretty much upset with her response. I was in Chennai for past 4 years but never experience this type of situation from any of the govt employee and not even from the public..

Wonderful experience

Wonderful experience
Metro is an escape for the Bengaluru ppl from the hectic traffic
Well maintained and timely schedules
Namma metro is very easy to use even for a newbie.
Check the route map on the wall and find ur station, go and take ticket. Comparing with auto rates and cab fare metro is very cheap and it's not at all affected by the bangaluru traffic.

We were not allowed to use the toilet which is on the other side of the entrance. We were asked to pass through the exit again, which would deduct RS.8/- if we had done. Only when we enquired, it was informed. We were not given any other option. Our group together went and questioned and asked to meet the authority, then we were asked to wait and after 10 minutes allowed to use with the dummy card used by the staff. By that time around 30 minutes we had spent. For the urgency, we had to wait so much.
It happened on 21st December, 2019 at 10.00 pm. Make systems
simple & user friendly.
