Awesome place to hang by the water, have some cocktails and munchies.

I don t like eating inside but outside is somewhat beautiful since it is on the water. Food is amazing and fresh from the grill, always! The guys are nice and the waitress are always quick, which I love!

Skeptical at first but had the best date of my life here

Grubby, down home interior, but excellent place for a couple dozen raw oysters and pitcher of beer at a reasonable price!

Very nice establishment. Good menu with very friendly and informative staff. I ordered clam chowder and raw oysters as well as baked oysters. VERY tasty. My meal was grilled fish and others had the burgers which looked quite good. My group confirmed they were. The environment was friendly. Outdoor seating available in the back. Parking in front and back as well as a dock for boat parking. Clean and good prices.

Great food and great service love coming to this place on the boat.

Raw bar as it should be. Not many left like Southport. None better in the area.

Food wasn't much to speak of. Long wait time. Too many groups of people just hanging out watching the game on TV in the middle of the restaurant. Food consistently came out cold.

Great clams & seafood! Cold beer friendly staff. Been eating there since the 80's. The place is a landmark. I always have a good time there.

Oooh Nooo!! SO DISAPPOINTED You guys were always so friendly, fresh, awesome, and great...WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED? the bartender didn't even say hi, went into order taking mode, oysters came out of the reach in already shucked, dry and flavorless, why why why!?!? Then the guy that took our order picked his nose and left, ugh gross!! parmesan oysters stayef in the window so long the cheese on top was brick hard!! We told the girl behind the bar about our raw oysters and she went into a lengthy explanation about how they have to be shucked in advance~no no no!!! Said she was sorry, but thats the way, 3 guys just cleaning the bin and more raw oysters sitting plates stacked on top of oysters waiting to be picked up, shame on you, you Were Better Than THIS!!!

This is a place especially for boaters feel very at home the food was great dive shop right next door would highly recommend

One of my favorite places in Florida. Sitting on the terrace and enjoying the reasonably good food is nice. Price for money is good. Service American, hard-working and slow.

Went to this restaurant with a few sailors and we agreed that it has great food. First time I've tried oysters and I have no regrets. The waitress was really courteous and professional. I don't remember her name but she claims that she's work there for over 25 years and eats here frequently. I can see why.

Claim chowder, pull and peal shrimp, so many good eats. Great local Fort Lauderdale spot.

I have enjoyed the Southport Raw Bar for some 40 years, three generations of my family have enjoyed this Lauderdale landmark. Consistency is what has kept us coming back.

Great happy hour, great seating outside with the steam fans... but the fish and chips need a twist, it shouldn't be that heavy salty batter, the grilled burgers are awesome but it is a seafood restaurant after all. Many choices for everyone....

What another great experience the server was actually a lot of fun. Food is always is great And you don't have to be a Patriots fan to enjoy the environment.

Crabs and clam chowder good

We went here twice last week on vacation. I like to try new places when on vacation, but the first time was not enough. The first night I had peel and eat shrimp ($9) with calamari ($9). Both were delicious. The next time we had the buffalo shrimp special ($11) that may have been even better! Definitely recommend.

Fast and attentive service for a large party. Great food (ribs, shrimp, onion rings) and good beer selection!

I like Saturdays and for Friday happy hour nice place for local business to do luncheons to. Bar staff friendly.

You can get a dozen raw oysters, smoked fish dip, and a few cold beers and not the bank. They offer outdoor seating but at times, the smell of the marina, dumpsters, etc., can make the outdoor seating less pleasant than indoors. Truth.
I still recommend this dive to take your friends, but not a young family or date. Enjoy!

We had Old Bay shrimp, Grilled Oysters & Key lime pie. Food was great and staff was very nice. I will be back when I am in the Fort Lauderdale area!

Food was really good. I just wasn't in much of a mood for fish that day. I got a latte and it was the best. Exactly the pick me up I needed before the plane ride home. Definitely a nice spot to eat at. Get a table outside its beautiful.

Just like a key west style of bar... been there for ages , we walked in and ordered food to go , told them we were on a rush although the place was very busy we got it in no time and it was good.

Clams excellent, chicken wings like buffalo NY. Service amazing. Definitely our go to for waterfront dining.

Food was average. Service wasn't bad but also not great. Would I go there again? Probably not.
