We brought our own fish.
They Cooked it the different ways and provided 5 sides for a great price. We bring are friends who visit us to fish here all the time.

They raw oysters were amazing. They were very clean. The grilled oysters are just like in New Orleans.
We enjoyed our visit very much.

There's a back deck right on the water, the place is busy but they accomodate very well. The dolphin tacos and fried shrimp are amazing. And the bikini bread is obviously delicious. Only thing is that because it's a bar, you do deal with your fair share of drunk people. But not a bad experience yet.

Horrible service , small oysters, fried oyster only bread crumbs...don't waist your money

We brought our fresh caught fish to cook in blackened seasoning and it was cooked to perfection. The sides were good to. Nice friendly atmosphere

Delicious, however if you want certain popular items you have to go early enough to get them.

Food came out wrong. Sent back, items missing and never delivered, bill screwed up as well. Dine here often and usually a great experience but tonight sucked.

Southport Raw Bar was definitely a gorgeous place. Although simple in decor but the views of the water were gorgeous and really added to the atmosphere.

Visiting from NJ and expected better seafood. The jalapeno oysters were different but the mussels in what was supposed to be a white wine garlic sauce were bland and tasteless. Caesar salad didn't seem fresh...

Seafood restaurant full of old time charm, great food and excellent service. Conch fritters are great, as were the Mahi-mahi tacos and Catfish. The Key lime pie is a special. Wait staff are all Old Charm and friendly Southern hospitality. Live music too.

The food was good but the waitress was not attentive and we had to keep asking other waitresses as they went by for refills.

We had a blast here, they offer a good variety of seafood! Loved the oysters...

There oysters and clams are fresh and tasty. I won't try anywhere else. I'm sold out. They have Great Service and always a smile. Make me feel like family,. Thanks , I truly enjoyed myself.

Great food. Only odd part is that food arrived at different times for the same table. This happened on two separate visits.

I HAD THE WORSE SERVER EVER. I DONT KNOW IF HE NEVER WAITED ON BLACK BEFORE BUT HE WAS MORE HAPPY TO SERVE THE TABLE FULL OF WHITES. I WENT THERE TODAY THINKING THE OYSTERS WOULD BE THE BEST. I ASKED FOR STEAMED OYSTERS AND WHEN THEY CAME BACK OUT SOME WERE COLD RAW OR WARM ON THE OUTSIDE AND COLD IN THE INSIDE. HE NEVER GAVE US WIPES OR EVEN CAME TO CHECK ON MY TABLE. HE WAS ALSO A SMART ASS WHEN I ASKED HIM WHAT TYPE OF CHEESE WAS ON THE BURGER. THE FAT WHITE MANAGER THAT WAS SEATING PEOPLE OUTSIDE DIDNT EVEN COME AND CHECK ON ANY TABLES NOR DID HE SEEM TO CARE ABOUT MY COMPLAINT. THE WHITE BLONDE AT THE COUNTER THAT DEALS WITH THE CHECKS WAS VERY RUDE WHEN I NEEDED ASSISTANT. SHE NEEDS BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE ALONG WITH THE WHITE WAITER. I WAS SO UPSET WHEN MY FOOD CAME I GOT A BOX TO GO AND HE DIDNT EVEN GIVE US A BAG. THESE PEOPLE THAT WORKED TODAY CAME OFF VERY RUDE AND RACIST. THESE ARE THE WORSE OYSTERS I HAVE EVER HAD AND THEY WERE NOT CLEANED THE CORRECT WAY. I RATHER SPEND MY MONEY AT OCEAN 101.

There are Plenty of cooked pens on the Menu. Fresh Fish from the docks Every Day.
I recommend THE SPECIAL.

Don't let its no frills look fool you, the food is good and the service is exceptional!

We boated up to this classic marina restaurant with a group of 8. Service was prompt, genuine, not overbearing but attentive. Staff were particularly sweet to dogs who visit (including two of our own), which made a lasting impression on the entire group.

The food was quick, fresh, and was fairly priced. We had old bay peel and eat shrimp, raw oysters, mahi mahi with rice, and fried shrimp. All dishes were prepared nicely, had good portions, came quickly and were appropriately hot or cold.

We will definitely be back!

One of my favs. Great casual laid back atmosphere with great seafood.

On one hand I live this place because it has great oysters, an ok happy hour, and very good local feel. However the day bartender is incredibly rude and acts completely annoyed when you order so I just head down the street to Kelly's which is better food, value and way more friendly.

Notice to all tourists: You cant leave Lauderdale without coming to Southport! Even if you are by yourself, sit at the bar and watch the shucking action. If you visit Thursday-Sunday bartender Talley will be sure to serve you well. She is the best!

The food here was amazing. Sitting on the patio watching the boats come and go enjoying beautiful weather and eating great food what could be better. Jersey Jackie really made us feel like regulars, so if your In fort Lauderdale this is a must try if you like great seafood.

Awesome joint with fun loud atmosphere... the seafood is fresh, out-freakin'-standing prices... you can beat this place.

Haven't been to the Southport raw bar in about 30 years, still looks the same, the food is better than ever... Had a pound-and-a-half of crab legs.

Food and service is great! Love the outdoor seating area. Some days they have live music.

Specials that were offered weren't that great. They were out of many of the dishes on the menu.

I try to come here every time I'm in ft. Lauderdale

The food was quite good, but the poor service really ruined our experience. I brought my inlaws visiting from Chile because of the good reviews. We were attended by different people who kept forgetting our orders and waited for 20-30 mins. to put our orders in. When someone finally came, they didn't have 2/5 things we wanted. I'm sure this was just a bad day for the restaurant but it's too bad, because we probably won't be back

Been coming here for years great raw bar . Fresh clams and oysters. Grilled oysters baked clams fabulous clam chowder.

We've loved coming here before but this time the restaurant smelled of vomit so bad we had to sit outside. I was really looking forward to tearing into some Dungeness crab but they say they don't offer that anymore. The staff was very friendly though. Sorry to say we won't be back.

Mahi Mahi YES!! After traveling for a few hours we stopped at Southport Raw Bar and as the first meal in Ft Lauderdale on our trip and we knew instantly we were in for a treat!
We both ordered Mahi Mahi. I had the tacos and my husband had the sandwich BOTH of us were not only pleased with our meals but so satisfied we were disappointed that Southport wasn t closer to our hotel. The lobster bisque was absolutely outstanding as well and the Oysters rockerfeller. The Oysters Rockerfeller were the BEST I ve EVER had in my life...however it s not called that on the menu (but that s what it is).

Brought in some fresh caught fish. Herb recommended the blackened seasoning and they did an awesome job!! I will come back!!

Food was ok had much better for way cheaper. the best part i guess was the view the waitress was nice bathrooms a mess just nasty. Wont be coming back unless i have too.lol

I have been coming here for years. I now live in Orlando so went for lunch yesterday while visiting. They still have the best clam chowder. Old bay shrimp are awesome as well. Sit outside for a breeze and view down the canal.

Always a fun experience at South Port Raw Bar! The view is relaxing, the food is fun bar food to excellent seafood. This historic old timey seafood dive is at the top of my list of best places to go when I feel like eating a great steak sandwich or some fresh clams or oysters in a casual environment. The service is fast and the ladies who serve you do not forget you after they bring your food. This place is a popular local hang out and it is consistantly good! Drive up or boat in. You will enjoy youself for sure.

Great,great,great. Best raw clams I ever ate and I've been clamming and eating clams on Long Island for 50 years. So good we went back 2xs in the same week and ate the exact same meal. When visiting Lauderdale put this place on your very short list.

Looking for a simple local seafood place, this is the spot. Oysters were great. Old Bay Shrimp is a must. Blackened Mahi Tacos are a great change from the typical fried ones.

Good, fresh seafood, right by the water. Great service! I was just excited about the Yuengling draught (I'm from Illinois).
