Amazing restaurant in Fort Lauderdale sits right on the water friendly and courteous staff. Delicious Hot Fish and Chips cold beer. Don't forget to try their key lime pie. Amazing reviews on TripAdvisor ant on YouTube. We will definitely revisit the Southport Raw Bar the next time we visit Fort Lauderdale

Excellent and environmentally friendly restaurant :
I went today for lunch. The waitress Lisa was very nice and the cheesburger was excellent. We all know food and location is awesome here.
I also noticed that the restaurant only use glasses, no plastic straws and metallic silverware set.
Congratulations to the owner to make this huge effort to contribuite to make our world more clean. All restaurants should do the same.

Great raw bar - the clams on the half shell were wonderful!

Stick to the fresh raw food. Fried was not as good. MUST HAVE Keylime pie! Service little slow but overall good experience.

Great price, solid selection, good food.

Nothing fancy but hits the spot. Good for a small group or a quiet ,quick meal at the bar. Bimini bread and anything fried will always satisfy.

Good place to eat and the atmosphere is great .Good customer service as well . Good views from the outside patio. I stop and eat here twice back in March 2018

This place is really a landmark restaurant. It is truely the best place for casual dinning and great seafood. Their Clam Chowder is number 1, as well as their grilled cheese. It is a locals place so don't tell to many people

Location, food and staff make this On The Water historic landmark a must, especially for bringing out of town friends.

I love oysters and this is the one place to get them in Fort Lauderdale. The price is more reasonable that other spots in town. Along with the oysters, we had smoked fish dip and it was out of this world. Would definitely recommend The Southport if you like those items. There are numerous items on the menu. There is indoor and outdoor seating or you can sit at one of two bars. Great place!

Recently came here for a sit down meal for the first time in months! They are complying and going above and beyond with new health standards. The food was so good. I will never take eating out at a restaurant again, especially somewhere as good as Southport!

Fried seafood had absolutely no seasoning. Smoked fish dip is amazing.

One of the best places in town for the price of fresh sea food. Hometown Florida feel and atmosphere. Try it!

Nice place to pull up with your boat and have lunch or dinner. Service is fast and friendly and food is great.

Can't visit Fort Lauderdale and not stop by here. Local icon. Amazing seafood every time. Great locals and tourist hangout.

Hard to find this gem, and when busy, hard to find parking, but so worth it. Whenever I work on cruise ships sailing out of FLL, I always treat myself to Southport Raw before I jump on board. They have a outdoor patio on the waterfront which is a great. Can t go wrong with Southport Raw!

For decades, Best grilled raw oysters in the country....

Robin is my favorite. She's so sweet. We took our dogs and they brought us treats, all the staff came around to say hi to the pooches too. So welcoming and the food is so great. Probably some of the best oysters I've ever had and their grilled oyster and old bay peel and eat shrimp.. plus bimini bread. Everything was so delicious and great prices too! Thanks guys! You guys rock and can't wait to go back

Good seafood. Conch soup want really great, oysters were a little gritty, but crab legs, conch salad, and everything else we had was good. Nice atmosphere, good service. Will try again.

Don't get the fried seafood. Just get raw or steamed. Go to Kelly's Landing for fried food

Southport is a fantastic raw bar! Their oysters are great with great views down the river. I also love their blackened chicken philly.

Really love this place, the outdoor area is so relaxing watching the boats and water. Try the old bay shrimp!

Been here a ton of times especially before or after a friend has a flight into/out of Fort Lauderdale; GREAT PLACE FOR THIS!
Old Florida seafood joint and as good as it gets. So many customer turn over that the seafood is very fresh. I had the smoked fish dip-excellent, the half-pound Old Bay shrimp and that was very good too. My friend had the Dolphin, blackened and she raved about it.
The interior is very old, 1970's but love that they haven't changed anything. The ceilings are low so it seems cozy and it just has a great vibe about the place. Highly recommend!!

My was delivered in a timely manner, I had cease salad with shrimp. I was disappointed, the shrimp was cold. I ordered fried shrimp with scallops and idk the other thing in there. (It was a basket) shrimp was ok; I wasn t crazy about the rest. I m going to try this place out in person next time. The food has potential - if that makes sense!

This is a laidback "old Florida" seafood joint and watering hole where you can dock a boat and dine. It's the kind of place to get oysters with a pitcher of beer while listening to classic rock.

Food was modestly priced and average tasting. Server wasn't the friendliest and we waited 10+ minutes even with several booths open.

Food was fast and hot , the waitress was either having a bad day or has very poor people skills .

My husband and I wanted to have oysters - Called this place, herb answered the phone, was very up very up beat and nice but when we got there it was a diffrent story.. We ordered oysters and my waitress name was Dominic.. I mentioned they where black and extreamly small her answer was "what do you expect for 14.99" ---- really not the answer I was expected. We just came from orlando went to New Orleans kitchen- Ate there for four days in a row, same price hello, fried oysters where nothing but breading...do not waist your money in this place.

Not fancy at all, feels like neighborhood bar. Which was great! Hubby had the fried fish and it was delicious! Nice big price of fish very nicely done. Crawfish chowder was also delicious. Reasonably priced. Wish I could go there tonight!

We enjoyed sitting on the dock and watching the boats. The food was OK but expected more from a seafood place on the water.

Local staple. Grilled oysters and peel n eat shrimp is all you should be ordering here.

Good food good atmosphere good service parking a little inconvenient when front lot is full. I would definitely recommend this for a nice relaxing dinner.
