local spot good for late night beers and food. always nice sitting out by the dock.

Visited while in town. Loved the atmosphere. Nothing fancy. We sat outside and although it was warm, they had fans with mist. The food was great. We had fish tacos-amazing. Raw oysters and grilled oysters. There is not much for non-seafood eaters but my son did have mini cheeseburgers. We also had the sangria and it was yummy. Would love to to back next time we are in the area.

I just love the old florida feel to this place. Great seafood done perfectly.

Peel and eat shrimp were amazing. Everything was delicious except the conch fritters.

Best Seafood take my world born and raised in south Florida I ve traveled to Boston Texas and in between. And this is by far the best place!

Every time we come down to Fort Lauderdale we go to Southport Raw. We love the food drinks and live music. And the atmosphere of the place is awesome. We always sit on the deck right before sunset. It s worth coming you won t regret it.

If you've never been here you should go. It's a bit of a dive but I think seafood restaurants are supposed to be. The seafood is fresh and the menu items are inexpensive. The outside deck is a good place to sit. It looks over a canal off the Stranahan River. It appears you can also come by boat. Raw clams are a nice treat. The grilled oysters are a non-menu item I got by accident but really enjoyed. This is a good place to eat and drink.

Nice waterfront view, cozy I side seating. The crab cake blt was very good.

Food was sub par. Server was sub par. Outside smoking closed ruined dinners. Don t go if you have asthma. Filthy bathrooms. My grandfather said this would be his last time and it ruined his birthday party. All around DISGRACE.

The place is a classic first of all. It's just always awesome, what can I say!!
I wish I would have gotten our servers name but she was amazing. To that server: We were there Thursday July 16th, we were three women, a man, and a girl on the outside deck, first table to the left when you walk out. My sister and I fought over who was paying lol. If you're reading this, you were absolutely wonderful and I will go back next time I'm in town and request you! Thank you for the delightful to and insights, especially the Bimini bread!

I walk in at 12:25 and am greeted at the raw oyster bar by an agitated man tell me he was supposed to be off in 5 minutes, insinuating than we've just ruined his night. So then we moved outside.. Then rushed by Dominic to put in our order.. the oysters came out small, shabby, & mostly black in color. We came with intents to buy more, but glad we only ordered a dozen raw & dozen fried because all were lackluster. There are good reviews, but beware- they turn to gremlins after midnight!!!!!

The food is very good with a bar seafood and raw selection, but their beer selection is extremely poor. There is one local craft beer offered, a few national brands with some flavor and the rest just colored water from those national/international brands. Overall it keeps to a by the water hole in the water style with a bit of grunge and a dark interior. The back patio is a nice place to sit with your group and fans with mist keep you cool in the heat.

An actual 5 star dive bar! great seafood, especially the oysters, hand shucked right at the bar. Nice outdoor decks, marina views, and bar staff that know their business.
Don't let the outside of the place deter you, it's great!

Great waterfront option to unwind without emptying your bank account. Raw oysters are fresh.

Great old school vibe. The grilled oysters were unbelievable. Good thick flavorful clam chowder loaded with clams. Raw bar delicious. Old Bay peel and eat shrimp messy, spicy but delicious. A roll of paper towel at every table keeps things in hand. Bar atmosphere but fun.

They cooked the fish we caught that day. It was about $10 a pound including a side with every pound. Tuna was seared perfectly. Mahi was fried, blackened, and broiled. The broiled mahi was a bland, but the blackened and fried were good. If you do not want to cook your catch, this is definitely the place to take it.

Raw oysters were out of this world that is why I gave 4 stars. Fried fish was Ok and the grilled fish was so dry I did not eat it. But if you want a raw bar, this is the place to go.

Literally, I stop in here every time I m in Ft. Lauderdale. The views are great, mostly though before the sun sets to enjoy the back patio. Burgers are great, but the seafood is amazing. Everything is fresh and you can count on the servers and bartenders recommendations. Get the soups, clam or conch... you won t regret it. Or, if you re feeling fancy, mix them!!

Amazing food, really laidback atmosphere, perfect if you love seafood, had the mussels, raw oysters, blackened mahi mahi salad..... and of coarse some CORONAS N LIME...everything was on point...

Always super fresh seafood, great place for locals and tourists alike.

Amazing place, typical place without tourists, excellent oysters gratin, all excellent dishes, excellent prices. Attendance is prefect, your can ask for a table.on the outside overlooking the canal. Well worth it.

Amazing as always. Have known Southport Raw Bar since 1979.....and even though it has grown tremendously, the quality has remain and customer service from staff is certainly making a difference. Mr. Bud still in charge, always with a friendly smile and superb quality control. Keep up the good work!!!!

First time in Miami , the food was absolutely wonderful and so was the atmosphere, Raphael was wonderful and so was the Barbara manager.

Excellent seafood with a dock for outdoor dining. Great prices and good service. There's a reason they've been in the same location since the early 1970's. Many locals and tourists mingle with out any problems. I would recommend anytime your near Fort Lauderdale Beach or 17th Street Causeway you should definitely visit Southport Raw Bar

I have been visiting this establishment for 3 decades. And recently it has gone down in quality. My last visit was Friday night. The clams were literally the worst I have ever had. Sitting at the counter I observed very unsanitary practices by the staff. Sorry guys, you lost me!

You need to try the grilled oysters. They may be one of the best things I've eaten recently.

This place is very difficult to appreciate. Let's start with food. The food is amazing. You must have the raw oysters! They are amazing. Complete fort Lauderdale staple. Phenomenal. The actual restaurant is located well within then seafood district. However, if what you are seeking is a culinary experience where the presentation matches the taste, stop now because this is not the place. Go to 15 street fisheries it's right down the street.

This place is more of a dive feel with on the water rear seating with live music. If you done inside like we did it's loud and there are all kinds of things on the wall and it is antiquated. If it is service you're looking for, also not your place.

Expect low level service with high quality food / bar food. It won't look pretty but it will be good food.

It was on a pier overlooking the water. The service was quick, professional and friendly. The food was extremely fresh and reasonably priced. Some place I would not think twice about returning to!

Went here with a group and everyone that ate seafood really seemed to enjoy it. I don't so it was just OK for me.
