Read some bad reviews about this place..but my experience was only good! Went on a date and was seated within 15 mins. Attentive service by Katie! Not hipster or fancy , just good food and affordable prices.
Clam Chowder: Can t go wrong, not too creamy, and could definitely taste the calm.
Mahi Sandwich: NICE SIZED fish.. really good
Conch Fritters: Yummy
+Attentive Service

Nice casual seafood place. They have a great deck out back on the water and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The food and service are always good. Definitely a place worth going and somewhere we go regularly.

great raw bar and seafood. their beer list is ok and kind of expensive for domestic draft. It's a stalwart of Fort Lauderdale though and I always leave full and happy. sit out back for a nice view and some wonderful florida breeze

We went on a busy Friday night, and phoned ahead. Upon arriving, we sat on the back deck; the staff were so friendly. It s a great view of the boats & a lovely atmosphere.
Once seated at the dining table, the server Alex was lovely and suggested the blackened mahi mahi tacos, whilst my partner had fish and chips, with an entree of fried scallops- the food was delicious.
The only negative was the amount of plastic and paper plates used by The restaurant for all the extras with the dishes.

Great dive hidden away on a side street. We were both very satisfied with the food. It was perfect! The manager was very diligent with monitoring his staff and helping out. The prices were really good. No complaints at all.

I absolutely love this place, it's casual pub food and it's really good, it's on the canal on 17th Street causeway, they have music often, such a great place to have a beer some appetizers with friends and listen to some music, FYI Friday nights are packed so get there early

This is the real deal from a locals perspective. Come before 7pm and enjoy happy hour for the oysters, clams and old Bay shrimp. Then order the fish tacos or dolphin reuben. Lastly the mixture of the clam and conch chowder is unbelievable. Don't miss this place, you can come by boat, car or on foot. You will not forget this experience waterfront dining at its best in Fort Lauderdale.

The food was on point. The food came out on time. Dena was a great server #shouthoutdena Ordered more food cause it was that good. If you rated this place less then 5 stars, your wrong. 2020 sucks but this place made me happy.

We came in from boating on the ICU and moored at their dock. Great place to stop and grab some food and a cold beer. The place was super busy but service was fast and friendly. Got the impression that this is a locals bar where you could easily make some new friends.

This is a fun place to have a drink and a bite. Parking can be troublesome and hard yo find as there are not many spaces available. There's a Winn Dixie across the street but you never know if they'll tow your vehicle away. You can however arrive by boat and park it in the back...much like Tugboat Annies. The stream clams are delicious but sometimes small. The fries are dissapointing since they're pretty seasoned and tasted like they were fried on the same oil as some of the fish. The staff is fast and efficient.

Oh dear what a shambles.

Oh dear what a shambles.
I went on the suggestion of a friend who came along.
The starter wasn't bad but the service was incredibly slow.
Our party of three was then separated by the cooks - two of the main courses arrived and, being fish, we opted to start as the other was "just coming". The two mains were finished before the third meal arrived!
The food was at best average, the fried fish quite greasy and the service something to avoid.
It has a great reputation but on this showing it doesn't deserve it

It's a very busy bar with some good fresh seafood. We have try some raw oyster was pretty good, so was the shrimp, that was baked with Paprika powder in there, it's a little bit too salty for me though.

Maybe we hit this place on a bad night. We waited about an hour to be seated and they were out of the specials we tried to order. We put in an order for regular menu items but the waitress came back to tell us they were out of some of those items also. The food we did have was nothing amazing and I felt for the price the fish tacos could have come with a side. The waitress was really busy so we didn't get drink refills. Maybe it was just way to busy but I got the feeling that was normal around there so it was a disappointing experience.

This place is amazing.

My wife and I came here after our cruise, being referred here by some of the locals. It has lived up to everything that was said about it and expected.

The food was top notch, some of the best food I have eaten in a long time. The high light of our meal was the blackened mahi-mahi fish tacos. The fish was fresh, moist and seasoned perfectly with a nice kick from the blackened seasoning. The coleslaw with spicy mayo was a perfect combination with the fish. Nothing was needed to be added, how they give it to you is the best way to eat it. Their banana caramel cheesecake pastry was to die for, made fresh to order as well. Their onion ring are even better then most places. Flavorful, perfectly cooked, soft but still held its shape, with a perfect crunch from the batter.

The atmosphere you get when you come here is inviting, friendly, and laid back. Even as a tourist you feel like a local. Southport Raw Bar is an excellent representation of Fort Lauderdale.

As a word of caution, if you are in a rush be very aware of you time here. It is very easy to lose track of time and spend hours here.

Overall I would highly recommend everyone to come and eat at Southport Raw Bar. You will greatly enjoy you time.

Nothing positive to say. The food was terriable, overpriced and food portions were small. If you order a burger be prepared to pay seperately for a side. Misleading reviews, it doesn t deserve the 1star, my family and I will never return.
