Real good conch fritters and fried scallops. My new favorite place for seafood.

Prices were good. Food was good. Wings were great. A little wait can get your waterfront.

Good seafood. Had dolphin and oysters, both were good.

Food great food. Try the dam good burger, the raw bar, or the mahi sandwich. End it with a banana pastry. This is the type of bar where they really don't mind if you get your table or your food is served at any particular time.

Just ok. Bar food if anything. Kind of expensive. I won't go back.

I ordered the scallops.. it turned out that they were bay scallops not the bigger better sea scallops and had a thick coating of batter. Nothing special and not worth the price. I also ordered the couch chowder. It was very spicy and the chowder tasted more like pork than couch. My friends ordered the bay seasoning shrimp and liked it very much. The service was very good and the settings outside was very nice.

There are many reasons why I love this place. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is fresh and delicious. They are consistent with their service and food. Check this place out. It's on the water and reasonably priced!

Wish I could give 0 stars, I m disgusted took a chicken sandwich to go and it was completely uncooked in the inside I could see the pink. Thanks a lot for dinner . Waste of money and time.

We had the fish sandwich.. steak and cheese sub with green peppers and onions.. and 2 New England Clam Chowders.. all were good and tasty. I've tried just about everything on the menu.. always good.!! Good service and atmosphere. Tabasco with the Clam Chowder is the finishing touch ..!!

We discovered this gem in our neighborhood, we just came back from our trip from New Orleans and fell in love with char grilled Oysters, and these grilled Oysters here were AMAZING, definitely top notch New Orleans level. Sooooo good, and only $19.99 for a dozen. The conch fritters were delicious and the clam chowder were awesome! Let's not forget the yummy bimini bread. Overall, this is a winner. Great food, great service, great prices! Great vibe!

The place is nice .don't ask for raw oysters are to small and expensive.
Ask for shrimp peel and eat clam. Soup is good

I had the fried seafood basket and it was obviously straight from a box. A place this busy does not butterfly and over bread fresh shrimp. Cool place, but fried shrimp, scallops, and clams are not fresh.

Well done in all regards. The seafood kitchen is separate from noon seafood meals. Friendly staff, great location on the 15th Street canal off the intercoastal or by car off Cordova. Casual, fresh seafood very reasonable pricing.

This is a locals place, it's not fancy and could use a bit of an update but that is not why you go. The seafood is the best. Try the Old Bay Shrimp you won't be disappointed.

Four stars for interesting. If your not a tourist there are better places for raw bars. Try Vinnie's by the Sea in Lauderdale by the Sea for example. The food at Southport is mediocre, the prices high, but the atmosphere, portside!

Southport is old-school Fort Lauderdale. Sit outside or at the bar, or you're kinda missing the point. Best raw oysters in town, and great seafood elsewise.

The fried shrimp are frozen, service was ok. Pricing is too high for what you get

Went when it was still raining on may 27 afternoon. Sat inside first, but my love wanted to be near the water. The waiter moved us with a smile. We had Oysters, Hot buffalo wings and French fries.
The service was very good. The food was delicious and hot (off the grill).
Went to Red lobster in plantation last week;
This was way, way better and cheaper! : )

Ok place for seafood. Had fish and chips. I hear the raw bar is good. Have not tried it myself. Fish and chips were typical Cod. Can't find a good Grouper sandwich anywhere.

Food is decent but nothing to get excited about. Boyster seem expensive to me because I'm used to paying $9 a dozen Houston Texas for golf oysters. Not really waterfront for like canal front. I read all the good reviews and even that Uber driver raved about it so we were excited but in the in home a little disappointed because it did not live up to the hype or at least What we're used to in Houston

Not too often im handing out give stars however this place deserves it. The classic rustic, nautical decor is too fitting for this restaurant as the outside seating is right on the marina. The service was fantastic. The hostess, and the waiter were very friendly and knowledgeable of the entire of the menu. The restaurant has great specials and happy hour so be sure to ask about them or look on their website. Now, the food. My friends and I order an assortment of seafoods to share. Their old bay shrimp was perfectly cooked: Tender, juicy, and well seasoned. Oaters fresh, and tasty, like they picked them right out is the bay. The mussels might have been my favorite though. I'm searching for something to complain about, but I'm coming up empty (Maybe it could be closer to my house). The food came out so fast the kitchen staff must have brought their A game. Southport raw bar will, with out a doubt, be a must stop everytime I fly into Fort Lauderdale!

This seafood restaurant has been here forever. The food is really good. The view is of water and very beautiful. However the price here are very high. My burger was a la carte. So $3.50 for a soda, $4 for fries, and $12 for a plain burger.....

I went there a few weeks ago and ended up leaving before even being sat down. We went to the bar to get my clients/friends a few drinks. Young male bartender with hat was completely unprofessional. He was on his phone checking text messages, talking on the phone... He then said, "he would be right with us." Probably sat at the bar for 10-15 minutes after as he continued to serve other customers as they came up. So we mentioned to him we were still waiting for service. Then he continued to make comments or excuses back at us like "well if your going to get mad about it...", "you moved" and others I can't post. So we immediately left. Called the manager and complained. She seemed extremely professional and nice. Ensured us a fantastic experience if we were to come back. If I ever go back it will be because of her. As of now my clients and I have no intentions of visiting.

Great raw oysters. The peel and eat Old Bay shrimp were so good we had to order more. Delicious! Only the shells left to remind us of the oh so good grilled oysters. Highly recommend snagging a table at this busy place if you can.

Noisy. Short menu, food quality low. Wine and beer poor.

Very comfy and welcoming.... Amazing food and great service. Will deffinitely come back if I visit again. Also, the view on the back deck is beautiful. Much perspective.

The grilled oysters are great and so was the mahi mahi tacos were excellent.
