Great family friendly mountain! My girlfriend and I, as well as 9 other friends drove up front the States to enjoy a weekend of skiing and were not disappointed! My girlfriend, who is somewhat of a novice skier, kept telling how much fun she was having and how much the mountain terrain helped her improve. It was also great, because being an experienced snowboarder, I was still able to have fun on the easier runs while at the same time ensuring my girlfriend could get used to skiing. The mountain had great snow and the staff was so friendly. They also sold some very good draught beers, and overall we pleasantly enjoyed our time here. The atmosphere was very inviting and welcoming, and it was overall a fantastic experience. Thanks Big White!

The big white stores have awful service... one man had sold me a helmet without a box that doesnt work with any type of goggles and fifteen minutes later my goggles flew into my eyes and I had explained this to the man and he argued that there was nothing wrong and I had to get the manager involved to only receive a %50 refund. I also bought food at the bottom of the resort with low service..... the portions are for children and they lacked many of their menus products.... not impressed

I love this place it is family friendly and isn t to expensive for how big of a ski resort. Just a warning you do have to make reservations quite a while in advance if you are staying on the mountain.

Chairlift's seem to be stuck on slow always. Terrain park jumps are alway's closed. Staff is 100% Australian.
The marketing team has focused so hard on "family" stuff the resort does not cater to young adult's. Night life is 2 ok bars stuffed with drunk austrailans. If they didn't have good snow I wouldn't come back

Stayed at the inn at big white. Older building but very clean. Friendly staff. Outdoor pool and hot tub was great after a day on the slopes. Everyone on the mountain staff was friendly and helpful. First time boarding there. Will definitely be back. Weather was really bad before we arrived. Lots of fog. But it cleared up enough to see some beautiful views. Night skiing extends the day for those of us who sleep a little later...

We love going to big white! It's close to our home but it's so foggy half of the time we go up there, which makes snowboarding hard. We love the runs, and all the village has to offer for food and drinks! Rating 4 out of 5 because of weather conditions so far this winter. Friday night cheap night is our favourite - $10 lift tickets from 3:30-8.

I absolutely love Big White! The hill is awesome, the snow is great, most of the time it's pretty fast to get up the hill and early in the day it is nice groomed or rediculous powder. It is always my first choice to take the family. They have a great selection of restaurants and if you need a quick warm up or snack you don't have to go back to the village to do so. There is a little lodge by the main lift areas to eat and warm up! I have been to many hills over the years and Biggie is still my favorite!!

The resort attracts people from across the globe, but very few Americans know about it. It is run mainly by Australians.

Ski along quiet runs in powdery snow then spend the evening at a Swiss restaurant (sadly closed so no Black Forest cake, but the Black Diamond that replaces it has good fare and makes fondue - but not as good as Fritz's Swiss fondue) or Canadian steak house or a the pizza bakery.

This is a great resort for boomers who like variety as it is quiet and has special days for men and women to try new areas of the mountain. If you like the terrain at Snowmass near Aspen or Deer Valley in Utah and do not need to people watch, then Big White might just be the place for you!

Even if there is a white out, you can usually find some trees to guide you in the Black Forest.

Fantastic mountainscape and nature provided lots of snow. Nature did her job but Big White as an entity continues to disappoint in their petty chintzy ways. " Sorry we are not allowed to give you a paper cup for water" This after spending $172. On passes and $29. on lunch that day! So you can't sit down with lunch and a cup of water. Have to use small cone style throw away cup standing at counter. They miss so many small items that make it a world class resort. They simply ride on nature's coattails. This is not a one off and I don't recommend it as a place to stay or eat ~ only ski or board ~ top notch there.

Lots of terrain for all levels and lots of amenities. Kids under 6 ski free. Can get socked in with cloud at times but usually passes quickly. About 45mins in from Kelowna. Be sure to check out gem lake side of the hill. Bullwheel is my favorite for food. Get there before lunch rush to get a seat.

I love the terrain but it would be nice if they would thin some of the Forrest areas to add more tree skiing. I'd also like to see more grooming in the park (especially the pipe) it gets too icey.

The Ice tower climb was fantastic and tubing at Happy Valley was a great way to spend the day. Next time we will go skate on the pond. They have a zamboni to make the ice like a hockey rink. COOL place

Great hill and great onsite accommodations. Snow was getting thin by the end of spring break but the operators did an excellent job of grooming. Longest line all week was 5 minutes. Wife even got hurt and received excellent treatment by ski patrol and onsite medical clinic.

Just stunning views. This was my first year of not going to Whistler. Just beautiful. Much smaller mountain and less people so definitively a good change in scenery. The runs are well maintained and there are some beautiful tree runs. Some blue runs were a bit steeper than my liking but overall experience was amazing. Will definitively come back but only during the weekdays because come Friday, the locals from Kelowna flock over there and waiting lines just gets longer.
Lots of affordable airbnb ski in/out so thats the way to do it if you decide to come here.

Not as much to do as some other ski resorts I've been on, but still a great time. Definitely worth while when the mountain is fully open. I also appreciated the half off tickets when only one chair was open. Very nice!

I was part of a film crew shooting here and felt very welcome. Will be back!

My home mountain, so I'm a bit biased but it is truly a great ski hill. There's a great variety of terrain, lots of space to find your own little secret pow stash, and the snow is incredible. Growing up riding the "champagne powder" here has made me a snowboarder for life.

I give it only 4 out of 5 stars because it does tend to get foggy (locals call it big white out) which can be very disorienting even if you are a confident skier/boarder.

A lot of fun for everyone of all ages. You don't even have to spend a lot to have fun here as there's plenty to do that is free, such as ice skating and riding the gondola up to the village. There is lots of free parking available in Happy Valley.
