Clean place. I usually get my piercings here. .probably wont again, because the last one was pretty crooked [i didnt move. No reason that its crooked] but ive never had a problem before.

Got my first tattoo there and they did amazing! I got my daughters name and it only took 20 minutes and got charged for the minimum! They made the whole process so easy and they re super friendly! And I love how it turned out too! Not one error!!!!

Great tattoo atmosphere, my artist Dominic did an amazing job on my full back tattoo. Highly recommend y'all checking out his work.

I had gotten a double piercing done there and they were extremely professional. Nothing felt as awkward as I had anticipated and they did a get job with my piercings. I definitely will be returning back when I want to get my next piercing done.

I went in thuraday Jan 7 to set up an appointment for my first tattoo. The man that greeted me at the counter was very friendly and we set up an appointment 1 week later for my first tattoo. Bryan Mozjesik was my artist. Bryan was an exceptionally easy going and friendly guy, made the experience a lot more enjoyable than it would've been otherwise. About 1 minute into the tattoo, unfortunately my nerves got the better of me and I passed out without warning. I awoke 10 to 15 seconds later to Brian and the man at the counter getting me a sprite and an ice pack to cool me down, you could tell these people care about their customers. After I had cooled off, we continued on. My tattoo took about an hour and a half, and it was completely easy going. The tattoo itself turned out absolutely perfect. I have to say Bryan, and the entirety of the staff at Big Brain are wonderful, and I will be going here for the rest of my life.

Big brain is the best place to go for piercings hands down! Smitty is amazing, funny, and very personable. I really enjoy the atmosphere and quality service that they provide.

Love these folks. They are serious about safety with their piercings.

I went here today to get my daughter's nose pierced. We brought their online $10 off coupon. The coupon said, "$10 off any piercing with this coupon" with no conditions.

When we arrived, the girl at the counter told us the coupon was only good Sunday-Thursday, but there was nothing on the coupon about these conditions. I told her the only reason we came in is because of the coupon as other piercing studios only charge $20 regularly. She told me they would not honor it, but I was welcome to go to the other Big Brain in West Omaha where they honor the coupon 7 days a week.

This is false advertising and completely unacceptable. The company has an online coupon that they will not honor on certain days, with no mention of those conditions on the coupon or the website. As a result, we left and took our business elsewhere.

Based on this experience, I recommend using an honest competitor. We used American Tattoo and had a good experience.

Honestly I have been coming here for years. The owner Smitty is always around with a big smile on his face. I got my first trophy because of the work I have gotten done here. The prices are great and the work is outstanding. I can't go anywhere without getting complements. I won't to go to any other tattoo shop.

Normally I have good experiences here, recently I went to change a piercing and I'm 100% sure I was pick pocked over $20.00. It was my fault for not paying closer attention and leaving my purse open/accessable I just want to forewarn future customers. I'm sorry it ruined my trust for a great business.

This place is incredible. I had a bad experience at another tattoo shop in Omaha so I was not in the best mood when I walked in to Big Brain. That changed immediately after talking to Austin at the front desk. He was patient, answered all of my questions, and talked me through some ideas. Everyone I have come into contact with thus far has been so incredibly professional, welcoming and a pleasure to talk with. Very impressed with the service!

outstanding work. my daughter (17yrs old) had a botched tattoo, that many other artists had declared "unfixable" and the only option was to cover it with a huge tattoo 3x its size. at BIG BRAIN, not only were they able to clean it up, keeping the similarity, but make it absolutely beautiful as well. they didn't cover it, they used what was there and fixed it. brilliantly. I couldn't believe how quickly and easily the tattoo was finished and the price was VERY reasonable! (so I gave the artist an 80 dollar tip:)

I got my ears pierced here the other day. I ve also came here with a few friends to get tattoos. Every time I m here, the place is very clean, modern, and unique. In addition, all of the staff is non-judgmental, understanding, and friendly. The person who pierced my ears was sure to explain what he was doing and why, and made great conversation!

Nice place, very clean, great staff. They've been voted best in Omaha several times and it's well deserved.

I dont suggest you use the atm in the shop. We did tonight and it gave us a feed error when dispensing the money. It took $65 out of our account but didnt give us the money.
So in return i wasnt allowed to get my tattoo and they told me there was nothing they could do.

Why have an atm in your store if you cant service it or give people their money back when it doesnt.

UPDATE:
We went back into the store as the owner said he would give us the money back. Went in to speak with him and was told to come back the next day. Went back the next day and he owner said he wouldnt refund the money. So we called the cops for fraud and stealing money.
After that he gave us the money and tols us never to enter a big brain again. Oh you best believe after this attitude ill never go in again and will most def not refer anyone else.

Just wanted to give a shout out to the guys at Big Brain they were all very nice, profesional, and efficient. Although they were super busy and full they still made sure to check you in and have you take a seat, updated me on wait time which was great and simply made me feel comfortable versus other places I have gone to and they don t even acknowledge you.

I got my septum pierced with Smitty and hands down I recommend him 100%. He s knowledgeable, clean, professional and super funny. He respected the fact I was a bit nervous and also educated me on what I was doing. It s important to go with a professional and Smitty is the one! I got my first tattoo here over a year ago by Tanner and the experience was great. I didn't feel rushed or feel as though the staff were rude in any way. They even went down on the quoted price. They were even willing to set me up with an appt online since i lived 1.5 hrs away but unfortunately, I ended up leaving the country before I got a chance to book. Not sure why people gave bad reviews, but if you're looking for a place to get inked, i'd def give them a shot

I get my piercings here, nowhere else. Trevor is super good at distracting you enough so that you don't even realize you're getting a needle shoved through your skin until it's done. I've yet to get a tattoo here, but the staff is really down-to-earth & friendly!

Dave is always great, he's done many of my piercings and I love them all! I would continue recommending people to Big Brain.

I'd give tattoo artists a 2 star, they are good but always feel like they're getting annoying when you ask questions. But the guy who pierced my nose was super nice and quick, we even got stickers for our cars. He would get a 5 stars

I've been there three times now, for two ear piercings, my belly button, and my nose. Their prices are reasonable, especially with the $10 coupon on their site. Others have said that the people there are rude, but I haven't had that experience at all. The second time, I went in because my belly button was infected, and Dave told me I was allergic to the steel in the rings from other stores, gave me a new ring, and sent me a bag of q-tips with solution in them all for $10, and within a few weeks, the reaction was gone. All the guys there have been very friendly and professional, laughed and joked with me, and made sure I was comfortable. I'll definitely be visiting them for my first tattoo.

If I could put one last star I totally would I called this place before I drove over a hour away at 9:00pm to get a small tattoo done because were I live all tattoo shops were closed so I get here the guy at the counter Was completely out of hand extremely rude and probably the worst customer service I have ever experience was chewing his gum while laughing the whole time from a second I walked in Didn't seem like you wanted to help me from the 2nd I walked in everyone acted like they wanted to get out of there when I got there because they were slow and as I was leaving after they turned me away they were all walking out behind me locking up After driving over an hour away to get there because they told me on the phone as long as I was there before 11:00 p.m. they would still tattoo me I was there at 10:15 p.m. He pretty much told me I was making stuff up because no one would of told me that I could get a tattoo if I was there by 11:00 p.m. then told me I could schedule a appointment if I wanted to and that's the best they could do my fiance and I had got tattoos together here on our foot a few months back and mine turned out OK however I fiancee's is faded badly and it looks horrible the person on the phone said it was no problem to touch it up for free since we got it here however all of a sudden when we got here it was not OK and they were completely rude about it Then they ask me who did it and I said I wasn't for sure but he gave us a really good Military discounts and they were extremely pressed about that as well they said they don't give military discounts shame on them I would not recommend this place if it was the last time to place in in a braska or anywhere as far as I goes awful service awful work thugs running around everywhere as well as working there

I had a great experience getting pierced here. The guys who helped at the front were friendly and laid-back. Dave Brown did a great job with the piercing itself and with making me feel comfortable. He was patient and easy-going. He didn't treat me poorly or act frustrated even though I was nervous. The shop was very nice. I wished I lived closer so that I could get my tattoos here.

This shop is well lit, extremely clean and all the artist do really great work! They are a bit pricey but as the saying goes... You really DO get what you pay for! Definitely a top show in entire Midwest!

When you want to get a picering done go to Smitty not Dave Brown. The man has no compassion or patience with his customers. When asked for understanding from a customer with anxiety and when she asks for him to put the chair back down for a few minutes he tells her shes being over dramatic and refuses to and is rude as hell. If I wanted this kind of treatment i would go back to Authentic Ink. Don't use him

Just wanted to get a simple tattoo with my daughter, and they are perfect! I would definitely see Jared again for another one! Big Brain has almost been in the Old Market for 20 years, and I got my tongue pierced there when it was only on it's second year of business. They have definitely got bigger and better!

My wife and I went here about a week ago. We walked in and there were a few girls sitting at the counter talking to the front staff. The employees acted like they were better than everyone, and acted like it was a big deal to ask about price on a custom piece. Well, I went in alone today, and again the front staff was bullshitting with patrons. When I asked about a piece for me, I got the impression he could care less. Needless to say I left.

I was a little weary of going because of some bad reviews, but I'm SO glad I gave them a shot! I got my smiley pierced there and the gentleman who pierced it was neat, professional, and extremely friendly. The atmosphere was clean and inviting. I didn't feel unwelcome or anything like other tattoo/piercing parlors make you feel. I'm sorry for the people who did have a bad experience there, because I did not and would recommend this particular place to all my friends.

Excellent service!!! I was traveling through Omaha for business and had an issue with a recent piercing. They got me in on short notice and fixed the problem. On top of that, Dave Brown talked with me about the care of the piercing in a different climate than home and sent me on my way with new cleaning solution appropriate for the rest of my stay. If I lived here, they would absolutely be my place to go for any body mod!! Thanks Dave!!! You ROCK!

Staff here makes it feel as if you are a burden to them. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone wanting a quality tattoo artist.

I had my tat, done their like a year ago, And my experience was wonderful. Tanner is the best. From the reviews, you would think place, was bad. But I had nothing but a
good experience, and plan on going back.

The front desk isnt the politeist. But i didn't expect them to be at a tattoo parlor. So with that said it was exactly what i expected. I didn't go in expecting to be coddled. Its for a tattoo.
I got my first tattoo yesterday with Bryan M. It wasn't small but it wasnt huge. Not only did he calm me down, he did an amazing job and he was funny. Which made the whole experience a good one for me.
Not only would i go back to Big Brain. I'd go back to the same artist. And i would recommend him to my friends.

Great experience with Big Brain. I am in the process of getting a 3/4 sleeve with Nick and have been very pleased. Nick listens to concerns, adds perspective, and does great work. Very nice, professional, respectful dude - a breath of fresh air. Love the vibe of the office - laid back but take their work very seriously. Perfect combo. Very happy with my choice after interviewing 5+ other offices/artists.

I've gotten 3 piercings done here and accompanied friends for a few more. They are quick and get the job done right for a good price. Dave Brown is especially great for piercings, he's funny and makes sure you know exactly what he's doing at all times.

My 18 yo daughter was taken advantage of at this place. She put a deposit down and booked an appt for a tattoo. She was called to work and tried to change the appt. Big Brain would not change the time and told her if she didn't show up she would loose the deposit. They kept the deposit and made her book another appointment and more money. Very unethical business practice. They manipulated a young girl and took her money. Extremely rude and condescending treatment by the staff.

Got my nipples pierced by Dave. Great sense of humor and incredibly professional. He even put up with me coming back when I was worried they were getting infected. Nipple piercings are known to be some of the most painful and it was done so well that the pain was gone in minutes. Highly recommend him as a piercer. The place was incredibly clean and the assistants were friendly and good at making sure that what you were getting is what you wanted. Prices are fair and its easily located downtown.

Got my lip repierced here. I would definitely return for other piecings.

The cleanest tattoo shop I've ever seen. Just be sure to be patient when making an appointment, its a very busy place due to the quality of artwork.

I have gotten 4 piercings here this year: naval, two Helix, and a antihelix. Everyone is so friendly, very professional, and the facility is very clean! I definitely suggest going here to have piercings done!

I went to Big Brain last October to get a piercing with a few friends and we had a wonderful experience, however last night my experience was much different. I would first like to start off saying that DAVE IS AMAZING, he deserves a FIVE STAR review by himself. He is patient, informative, talented, and quick when piercing. He did a great job the last time he pierced me, and he did a great job piercing my friend last night. However, the overall experience last night was far from five stars. The front desk staff were extremely rude to my friends and I. The second that we walked in, the female (blonde with glasses, I don't know her name) working the front desk had an attitude and made me feel inferior to her when speaking to me. She did not seem like she wanted to help us, and the male that was at the front desk with her had his face in his phone leaning on the counter the whole time. One of my friends gave her the same attitude back and it just got uncomfortable from there. While we were deciding the female looks over at the male and states loudly enough for us to hear, "I'm done, I'm just done." It was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. At that point I decided to not get a piercing because I don't want to support a local business with such poor customer service. I know she is not the one doing the piercings, however she is the first face that people see when they walk through the door, and she is representing your company. It's disappointing because I did have such a great experience during my previous visit, however we didn't deserve to be treated poorly.

The receptionist guys were total jerks to my sister and I. He told us over the phone $30 lip piercing includes the jewelry. My sister finished and the guys seemed so shocked about someone telling us that over the phone which we recognized his voice from the phone. Like we know most places charge that amount, if we would have known they charged $40 we could have gone somewhere way closer to us. Them being rude to us in front of people just didn t make any better ! On the other hand the guy I believe named Brian who repierced my sisters lip placed the piercing below her old one after she specifically said she wanted that hole repierced and not make another hole which he did, right underneath. Just did not have a good experience here within the dam 20min being there. Kind of Glad I didn t get my piercing done.

There is penty of jewelry options. I found the replacement jewelry i need for all my piercings and had a new stud put on a microdermal. Big Brains has good friendly service and decent prices for replacement jewelry.

Clean shop, very efficient, they definitely tried to work with us and our time constraints as best as they could. We were visiting from out of town and they were still able to get us in that night. It was a little hectic the first time we came in and isn't set up like most tattoo shops so it was a little confusing getting things started. The tattoo artist was great, super quick, and it was decently priced for a quarter sized tattoo. I would go back if I was ever in the area and they gave me some good advice regarding a coverup I've been wanting.

I think it's the best shop in the Omaha area, I have 3 from them.

I had my tattoo done by Jason. I emailed what I wanted well ahead of my appointment and was so impressed with Jason's idea of what I was looking for. It was better than I could have imagined! I love my tattoo and am so happy with how it turned out.
Everyone that I came in contact with was very friendly. The shop was clean and had a pleasant atmosphere. In the front waiting area there are TVs that run a brief bio of each artist with a few samples of their work. This is such a neat idea! A lot of the art was truly stunning. I would recommend friends and family to go here. Thanks for a great experience.
