I've been going to this store regularly for quite a while. Each time there is plenty of helpful, knowledgeable staff, that are always eager to please. I have never had bad service, and I highly recommend this store to anyone for anything related to music.

I rent from the Markham Rd and Ellesmere location at least 4 or 5 times a year. They are very knowledgeable and always have the equipment I need in stock. I went there today, and was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Definately the only place to get music equipment if you are throwing an event.

Always has everything I need for audio stuff. Even fog/haze and some cool lights

Been going to this location for years for purchases and rentals. Their customer service is second to none. They have gone out of their way to find me guitar parts I needed and they did not have for sale so they got them from the repair Dept and did not even charge me!

Nash was a great help in getting my system up and running.

This is a great franchise with the manifest to help Musicians get what they need to do what they do. This store is frequented by more suburban musicians it s in a great location but the selection is very limited. That being said it s not a problem for merchandise to be shipped in or be directed To another location if you want to expedite. Prices are good and there is financing available. Most staff members are knowledgable but as with most retail facilities these days the personal touch is fading.

Always helpful and yet allow you to walk around and play instruments.

Horrible service!!!
Wouldn't recommend to anybody. I called the shop to specify books availability and the girl assured me that there were plenty of books on stock. I asked whether I should reserve or pay in advance and the answer was: No! No worries, you are safe because stock is big. Finally, I came to the shop and they have NOTHING! The guy told me that School had booked all the books. I was trying to find solutions, asking whether they could give me one book from this order and order 1 extra book for this school if they are supposed to come in next several days, not today. But the guy was totally arrogant, as well as the girl, who was even challenging me, telling that they didn't have any girls in the shop the day I called. Unacceptable!!! No "we are sorry", no intention to find any solutions, just strange comments and indifferent behavior from the sales staff.

I went to another location before but the experience there was not that great. However, this location, the guy helped me out was super nice and knowledgeable so I'm really happy with my purchase.

People are so nice there . I rented from them three times. Just tell them your idea, they will tell you what you need. I will go back again.

Helpful, genuine five star Customer Service. It was icy Saturday morning I was at Long and McQuade store.trying to fix a broken violin. Evening was the performance for my son. I was ready to buy a new one too. Service desk person was genuine, helpful with a smile fixed the violin. assured me that our instrument is of high nquality. No need to buy a new one. excellent service everytime. These goes to Eleven. Couldn't agree more.

Long and McQuade is the happiest place on earth. While the Scarb location is isn't as huge as the downtown location it is still staffed with genuinely great people and they had the only set of Yamaha HS5s in the city during a pandemic, so I am forever in their debt.

Great helpful staff. They went out of their way to find me a piano that was in another store and had it shipped to the scarborough location. Now I'm the proud owner of a yamaha digital piano. Thanks L&M! I'll come back for all my music needs.

This L&M location is really good. I rent and buy a variety of audio equipment, drum accessories, stage light bulbs, etc. I have never taken lessons so I can't speak to that. The staff are friendly and helpful. I docked one star because sometimes the wait to get serviced can be long and that can be frustrating. I don't think it's the fault of the staff...there are plenty of them and they are helpful, although I think at times they get overwhelmed. Every customer is different, someone may need 5min to make a purchase and someone else may need 30min to get expert advice, so I don't fault the staff. It's just one of those things, but it could be an improvement on the experience. Also, the L&M website is a bit tough to navigate. I didn't dock a star here since it's a minor point - the website could use some serious UX/UI improvements. Overall, great location and I recommend it.

They have a good quality musical instruments affordable and reasonable, pretty friendly staffs will suggest you the better one according to your budget and needs. They have an financing and renting for the musical instruments as well.

A pretty nice place for musical instruments and rentals. I've been going to this location for many years and have always been treated well by the staff.

They have a good inventory, good service, and excellent sales.

It has wide variety of instruments for sale and rentals. New and new ones. Also music books and tabs. It does repairs. And the staff has good knowledge of the instruments.

Sometimes, the wait times are ridiculous. But other than that pretty good. Customer service is really good. One time I brought back speakers early and they refunded me some of the fee without me even asking.

My 5 star rating is more for than an employee than for this store. I have been drumming for 15 years and have come to this location numerous times in that period for odds and ends. I was not really a fan of the staff or the general atmosphere. Recently I had an itch to pick up a guitar (never having played one before) and was directed to Steve for may questions I may have. I don't have enough good things to say about Steve - he was fantastic!

He was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and really gave me the time and attention that I needed to make an informed decision. I ended up buying two guitars through him. His acquaintance makes this place a hotspot for any of my musical needs - give this man a raise!

Worst customer service I've ever received. I shop at Long & Mcquade at different locations and this by far is the absolute worst. One of the workers shut the rental door in my face and locked the door because he wanted to go home. You don't treat your customers like dirt, especially ones that have invested a sizely amount into your business.

I had to get my daughter's guitar re strung,was ready in a week which was great! Small parking lot,dont park next door though ,tickets!

This is the music store that you will want to play for! Every time I go in here I see some fantastic deals, excellent instruments, and friendly staff. The library of printed material is also quite extensive, and I found a rare exercise book for my guitar that really helped me a lot. Good job folks!

A great place for musical equipment. It s not big but they do have rental service. They have got used equipment on special. That s where I got the used Line 6 guitar emp. in a very cheap price.
