I would like to thank the entire staff at Big Brain for there assistance in making my experience with my sleeve tattoo an absolutely amazing one. With a special thanks to Dominic for his tallents in making my arm look better than I had expected. There is all kinds of tallent at this tattoo shop for any kind of tattoo someone is looking for. I will never go anywhere else again!

I had my nipples pierced by Kyle, I love them soo much! The shop is super clean, the staff was really nice, the price was great and Kyle did a great job. I'll definitely being coming back!!

Fast, friendly, cost effective, helpful. The piercer fixed a screw up a piercer at another shop made, he switched my jewelry, gave some advice, sent me on my way. Will definitely be going here first next time!! Also reccomending.

My first experience was was great, I got snake bites that night. Second time was to re pierce them, it was quick & easy. This time I got my tongue pierced, i absolutely love the vibe the piercer brings

We had a bit of a wait just to get nipples pierced, but Dave was fantastic and made the whole thing go really well.

I do not have a tattoo from this parlor. This is due to the fact that I went in to get a tattoo for the week of my 18th birthday and then a few weeks after that and the guy acted like i was a complete waste of time both times that i went in. like the other 1 star reviews said: NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. AT ALL. For this reason I will be getting my tattoo elsewhere :)
If anyone working at Big Brain reads this: i think customer service should be your number one priority. I realize that the smaller the tattoo is, the less money you make and the less artistry you show off. BUT, in many cases like mine, my first tattoo design was small for the simple fact that it is my *first* tattoo. I am looking for a parlor and an artist that i like to eventually do a sleeve and a few other back tattoos. Tattoos are becoming growingly popular with this generation, but we need to start small (In my case, its because of my minute tolerance of pain, lol). So before you brush someone else off and treat them crappy when you see that they want a smaller tattoo, keep what i just said in mind.
You are losing what could be life long customers due to your sh***y customer service.

finally decided to get a couple piercings done that I've been to chicken to get done. Trevor and everyone else was great. for everyone's sake, no photos will be posted of said piercings.

Just got my double piercing done here the other day and I love it :) it was really quick and easy; the staff was really friendly and nice . They even gave me a discount before I asked about it. I'll definitely be going back for any future piercings and tattoos and 100% recommend it.

I've had all of my tattoos done here by Nick Kelly. Great artists and a super sterile place.

I wanted a water splash tattoo and they had no artist who could do leaving me to wait for a month and they do not suggest any ideas which is very bad. Unless you give a exact image file they cannot deliver what you want. Bad experience and I have compromised on the design due to lack of skills

Clean, professional without being cold, and quick. Really nice, answered all my questions without judgement. All round great service for a piercing. Pricey but I feel like it's worth it when you can trust that they know what they are doing.

This is the ONLY place to go for piercings. I refuse to go anywhere else. Dave Brown is awesome!!!!

I went last month to get a mother/daughter tattoo done. With it being my first I was nervous about the whole process. We were recommended to see Josh for what we wanted which was a realistic flower, related to a picture of both of us when I was little. It turned out GREAT! Everything I wanted & Josh was very patient during the process since it was my first. He made sure I was comfortable and took breaks if I needed it, couldn't of asked for a better first tatt <3. The only recommendation I have for ppl is make sure you bring all of your tattoo ideas with you to your appointment. Even though they try to relay everything to the artist some things get missed. I would love to come back and get another one, as soon as I have the money lol ;).

I had been into Big Brain once before to inquire about a tattoo. I was unsure about the process and was quite nervous. The man at the front was rude and not helpful at all and I ended up taking my business elsewhere. I had, however, heard good things about Big Brain for piercings, so I went there to get my septum pierced. They were way nicer and seemed more willing to help me. Their service was quick, efficient, and sanitary. I have had my piercing for a little over a week now and there have been no complications and it is healing quite nicely. The only complaint I had is that they were not very clear on aftercare instructions, leaving me to scour the internet for tips. Overall, pretty good!

I had my tongue pierced twice and they were friendly and very professional. I recommend going there every time someone asks.

I had received a gift card for a piercing from one of their block parties I attended. I tried multiple time before I got my piercing to give them the payment because I knew I would forget when I left. The guy with the multiple piercings in his face and through the bridge of his nose told me to keep it til the end as he rolled his eyes. So after I was done getting a piercing from I think Taylor I'm walking out and they are both yelling in front of everyone very loud "you need to pay, its $30 " over and over as the dude at the counter is looking smug. I feel as if they were trying to embarrass me because the dude knew I had the gift card so all of that was not needed. I'm very disappointed in the big brain brand. I will not be back.

Trevor was the one who pierced my nose today. It was very helpful with answering questions and had good input in what would look best. Super clean and friendly facility and cant really imagine going anywhere else. Thank you guys so much!!

I went to find a pricing for a small tattoo like the same length as my index finger and the guy at the front desk for starters was rude and asked what I want when I already told him I just wanted some words always strive and prosper I didn t know showing a picture would make any difference when a tattoo artist can just draw it up. The only reason why is because the tattoo price he told me was ridiculous he said $140, $160 which is bull because I got a tattoo bigger and thicker than the one I asked for, for like $60 and no it wasn t under the table it was at a shop. Wouldn t go there alone if you don t have a lot of tats otherwise they ll try to overprice you. The only reason why I wrote a complaint which I never do for anything was because I was nice and asked politely, sees that gets you nowhere

While I have not gotten a tattoo there yet everyone working there was quite helpful and Jason was really easy to talk to about what I want,I even heard them give a guy a 45 dollar price quote by the profiles and the work I have seen I would recommend them for quality work

I got my cartilage pierced here a couple of days ago. I was worried about customer service, but everyone was very nice and professional. Dave did my piercing, and it turned out great. I didn't have to wait long or anything. The shop was clean and sterile. I went in a couple of days later worried about something and he looked at it and reassured me that everything was fine.

Really professional and lots of selections for piercings.

Took them my template for a very simple and small tattoo. WAY TOO overpriced! Went to Villians instead and got what I wanted done the same day and for about 75% less.

The customer service is awesome and the building is very clean and well maintaned, I'm very pleased with how my piercings turned out. I don't think I'd go anywhere else.

They had a piercing sale back in June and I got a dermal. More than 2 months later and it's healed fine, looks great, and I just got the jewel changed the other day pretty cheap. Seems like a great shop! And I love the TVs with how they show their artists. The place is really cool!

Terrible customer service if I could give it zero stars I would. We got there waited for 30 mins to get attended to. 4 other people that came in after us were attended to first. When I finally ask when we would be going next the girl just says eh I dunno why? As if she didnt care so we left.

I went in today to see about pricing for my first tattoo. I stood at the front desk without any greeting. That's fine maybe nobody saw me enter. I checked out the artists books when someone came in after me with a prompt hello have you been here before. I felt ignored and insulted. I'll find somewhere else less judgmental I guess.

3 friends and I went to Big Brain last Saturday. It was a busy day in the shop walking in there were alot of people waiting but the front area is set up really well with tablets and tables where you can check out the artist work and plenty of seating. I scoped out reviews beforehand and read that the front desk personnel could be rude. On this particular day the guys lived up to the reviews. I also don't expect to be coddled by anyone, what it boils down to is respect. Three things stood out as first impressions with the front staff: 1) I asked about the piercing I was about to receive and the response I got was "I wouldn't know I don't have it done" 2) My friend asked about a piercing as well to the same staff member and he literally CORRECTED her when she said the name of the piercing wrong. Who does that? That's just rude and embarassing. 3) I get it, you are a tattoo/piercing parlor but there was a family with a younger kid waiting in the front area for the mom to get a piercing done and the two guys up front were watching a show and dropping F bombs left and right. It was also rainy and cold that day so waiting outside wasnt really an option. You are located in a tourist area of Omaha so you are bound to have the people who spontaneously drop by. Couldn't pull it together for 15 minutes? Im not even a beginner to tattoos or piercings but felt like I was treated like a "poser" by the front staff (You know who you are Mike Jones and Austin) whose only job is to have good customer service, they don't even do piercings or tattoos.

Somehow between 4 girls we decided to overlook the rudeness of the guy up front and give the piercer a chance to redeem the shop and OMG am I glad we did. Kyle and Dave are the coolest, sweetest guys ever! They were calming and caring of any second doubts the girls who got piercings had and were super knowledgeable when answering questions. They also made conversation thru the whole process so getting the piercings actually done was a snap. It was also helpful that Kyle was easy on the eyes.

The next day we decided to go back so one of the girls could follow thru on a piercing she was wanting and I could get my daith on my right done as well as the one of my left. Again the front staff was sarcastic and condescending about getting the daith pierced and "jumping on the bandwagon of its miraculous healing powers" but Dave was working again (thank god) and treated us like human beings and saved the experience yet again.

Both of my daith piercings are even and have minimal swelling and pain today which I attribute to the skill set that the body piercers have.

The fact that Smitty has allowed a $10 off a piercing on the website is just icing on the cake!

Always a great experience. I've gotten four piercings and five tattoos here so far, and all of the artists are competent, professional, and passionate about their work. You'll pay for the quality, and it's worth it. I recommend BB to everyone I know and anyone who asks for advice. Wonderful experience from walk-in to walk-out every time! :)

I had my first tattoo done at Big Brain. The staff was snotty when arranging the appt, the artist acted like he would rather not be bothered with inking my smallish tattoo, and he flat out argued with and schooled me when I questioned his choice of color. I shut up and let him do what he wanted, and left what should have been an exciting, meaningful experience with a muddy tattoo and my tail tucked between my legs. Getting the ugly tat and the bad memory covered up ASAP.

Wonderful place. Clean and good environment. Nice people. I got a tattoo on my foot and got my wrist touched up. It was good work and nicely done. Id recommend Big Brain to everyone I know.

My experience with this place was just humiliating and I was disappointed on how they treated me. I went in to see Josh Hansen and he talked and treated me like I was five years old. I wanted to talk about a design and there was no privacy so all of the guys had to put there 2 cents in, one actually said that was a stupid idea. I could not believe that this is how they treat their customers and I don't know how anybody was getting a tattoo in there with an environment so degrading and humiliating.
By the end of the five minutes of shame, I felt so embarrassed about my idea of a tattoo and they had ruined what was suppose to be an exciting new experience. I don't deserve to be treated this way and no one else should.

Amazing all around!!! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Went to get a naval piercing removed, and was recommended Dave!! He did not disappoint. Super quick, great personality, and made me feel at ease from the get-go. Front staff was equally as awesome!! Highly recommend. Great place!

It was an OK visit. I understand it is the costumer's idea to come up w the design, but I think the artist should also contribute to it. Add some opinions, maybe. Especially if the person is not too sure. I felt like the artist was just there to draw and do an OK job.

Now, don't get me wrong, he did took his time and made sure to ask if I liked what I saw before he started, but I didn't feel the connection. Like, no input. A little disappointed, as this is a very well known place. I was expecting an out of the ordinary experience. Not this time. I'll give it another shot later on. See if they can make it up.

Price wise, it was fair. I have nothing to complain on that department. He was clean, through, professional, and respectful. Kudos.

If anything, maybe a little for interaction with the customers. Ease the tension. Some times we are more nervous than anything, and some reassurance from the artist is always soothing and encouraging that we're getting the right design. Just a tip :)

Started my 5th tattoo today. Best shop in town. Jason is an amazing, award winning artist. Will be getting many more tattoos in the future.

I would NEVER reccomend this place for piercing. The piercer put in jewelry that was too large. I asked him if he could put something a little smaller in and he told me it s in nothing I can really do now . I got home and the jewelry began to snag on everything which is going to affect the healing. I explained this to whomever handles their customer support and he said I could come in and have the jewelry changed out free of charge. I told him I live 30 minutes away and I d be in shortly. I get no more than 5 minutes away and I receive another email from him telling me they won t do it because it would damage the piercing as if it getting snagged every five minutes is going to help it. Not to mention as I was waiting to get pierced the lady next to me said she had gotten her bellybutton done 2 days prior and it had become infected as well.

Everyone is very polite and fun, the shop is super clean. I've gotten 3 piercings there and never had a problem.

I do not believe there is a better tattoo & piercing shop in all of Omaha. The crew Smitty has assembled here is the best at what they do.

I have gotten all of my tattoos here and I wouldn't go anywhere else! They let you know what will fade or blend well and the artwork is just beautiful. Justin is my favorite artists but all of them are amazing!
