If you're looking for a competent, decent management company to ensure that your apartment complex is kept to a high standard, look elsewhere. This company is not accountable and lacks a general understanding of what it means to be a good management company. I highly recommend not renting an apartment in a complex managed by this company. Their policies are absurd and do not make sense whatsoever. They will dupe you into signing a lease but fail to inform you about basic living conditions, which is incredibly disrespectful to do to someone during a pandemic. PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.

Ac is still not working was told that what ever temperature it is outside it's supposed to be 10 degrees below that so I'm assuming it's supposed to be 87 degrees in my house unbelievable
I moved to the DALLAS DFW area for a job transfer and was unfamiliar with the area. The grounds are in terrible shape. Rotted trees, one just fell right over. All s that s left is the aviance of the rotted jagged tree. No grass, patios, sidewalks fifthly due to dirt blowing. Tennent s are required to pay $50 a year for the cleaning of breeze way (gang way), it s never cleaned it too is fifthly. The entire gang way is filthy, walls, floor, stairs. I have asked management twice to please clean .. still filthy. There is a secured locker area for packages, one locker is shared for over flow. My package was stolen by a tenant. Neighbors daughter came to visit and was shooting up drugs in the gang way, left the needle etc. . I reported to management, no action taken. A neighbor had to clean it up, I take it these are common occurrence s. Garbage is over flowing and smells, the area around the garbage is filthy. I chose a remodeled apartment and the flooring is coming up. It s like heavy duty masking tape. Can t clean because if you move your furniture the floor comes right up. I was told I had to sign a 15 mo. lease, so a few more months to go. I am more familiar with the area and will be moving.
The front office staff and maintenance are doing an amazing job. Senior management should focus on developing the property and an increase on tangible amenities if we're going to keep increasing prices.
I live in a rental community in Cary, North Carolina managed by BH Management. The community was run well by Landmark, but as soon as BH Management took over, everything went south. The pools went from functional to neglected; the laundry room went from neat to messy; more garbage started appearing around the complex; and the office became a rotating door for staff. To make matters worse, all the new people don't ever seem to know what's going on. The rumor was that the owner came by and saw a bunch of violations and then threatened the residents with fees. I got threatened with a fee for leaving my valet garbage bin outside - something that has never been a problem in the past! I wish BH Management would pack their bags and go and let a competent company take over.
Building is not kept clean ...office is not open during "office hours"...they don't respond to emails.... office phone rings and rings - no voice mail picks up....promises made and not followed through.... things have gone downhill since they took over.
Super friendly and helpful staff. Nice apartment layouts. Great for roommates. A little pricey for not have an onsite gym or any amenities of the sort however the staff makes up for it
In the contract, I must pay for a gym key-card that I am to receive in order to use the gym. Asked several times about when I am to receive it. They say "the key machine is broken, we dont know when you'll get a key". Ive been here for 3 months.
Let me tell you about my experience... I must agree with the reviewers that their on site management is downright awful. The office staff that treat you with respect are quickly fired, and the staff that is left treats you like criminals. They are really truly just unpleasant to deal with. And it is a shame. I don't know if corporate has trained them to think of tenants as enemies to milk dry of as much money as possible before evicting them and liquidating their assets, but that is no way to run a community. Tenants and management should be a team, working together respectfully. I would like BH Management to know that: 1. the management consistently has made mistakes on every single renewal and transfer I have done with them. And they blame you for all of the mistakes and never apologize. 2. the management does not communicate with each other, or with you. they tell you things and then they are changed the next day. they seem to DELIGHT in frustrating you 3. the management will send EVICTION notices to people who have never once paid their rent late. I will never forget coming back on Jan 2nd from Christmas at my relatives to see an eviction notice on my door! Jan 2nd wasn't even late for rent, and I paid my rent PRIOR to leaving for vacation. They claimed they had no copy of it, luckily I kept my receipt! My thoughts.... they were hoping people got money from family at Xmas and would forget if they had paid their rent or not, so they could scoop double pay from worried parents. Imagine coming home to that at Xmas when you have kids! Of course you would rush to the front office to pay! Just awful, and no apologies from them. 4. management is extremely rude to us, who pay their salary. I give them a full third of my paycheck each month! And they refuse to open the laundry room on time (sometimes they are over an hour late, and they still ask you to wait 15 or 20 minutes. All they have to do is open it when they enter the office!) 5. the pool is just for show and will never, ever open.
Now, I had a horrible moving experience. As if moving is not stressful enough, the front office was just awful, leaving me in tears and making me sick with stress and worry.
The reason I give 3 stars is because I was FINALLY able to get in touch with someone who oversaw them. This was after calling and crying and crying and finally consulting with a lawyer. Thank God that their supervisor was a reasonable person with some appreciation of tenant rights. She fixed the situation immediately, and for that I am eternally grateful and that is why I give them 3 stars.
Now, BH Management Corporate, I hope you read these reviews and make some changes. First of all, I LOVE my location, I LOVE my neighbors. I would like to live here for some time to come, but you can't slap paint on an apartment from the 1960s and charge luxury prices. Nor can you put the price of upgrades on tenants. You also should not encourage your front office staff to be at war with the tenants. We pay a lot of money to live here and let's face it, a lot of stuff inside the apartment is broken or in very very poor condition. But all that would be fine if we were treated with friendliness and respect and not threatened by management left and right. I think this aggressive strategy will not lead to long term success. Why don't you train your front office staff to RETAIN GOOD TENANTS? Us friendly folk who work hard, pay our bills, cooperate, and don't cause trouble. Why raise our rent by almost a $100 each year without making improvements and threaten to evict us for no reason? It's not a good business strategy.
One thing that would help is MAKING THE REGIONAL MANAGERS MORE ACCESSIBLE!! I understand these are busy people who don't want a million calls a day, but the front office staff acts as if they answer to no one, and most of the time I don't think they do. Thank you very much to the ATL Regional Manager for all of her help. I hope I have a pleasant living experience here in the future!!
If i could give 0 stars i would. I moved out of my apartment in nov 2016 here it is january 2017 and i still haven't received my almost $600 deposit back AND everyone refuses to let me speak to someone. Saying u can only email. After tons of emails and still no one has contacted me. I have reported this company to the BBB. Stay far away from anything BH Management!
I feel like I live in an automobile salvage yard. I have 3 dead vehicles in the parking area in front of my apartment. One car is on blocks, one hasn't run in 4 months with an expired inspection sticker 10/18, the other hasn't moved in at least 6 months and has a flat tire and an expired inspection sticker. Anyone that drives through the complex, gets a view of what it is like to live in the hood. Embarrassing and total lack of regard to the tenants who move here expecting a nice and clean place to call home. I have voiced complaints a couple of times. RANT OVER
Total SCAM of a company! This has been the worst renting experience of my life by far. They will lie to you to get you to sign a lease and then hold you hostage to that lease while they do the absolute minimum required of them in the contract, and often not even that! Absolutely avoid renting with this company! They are a useless "shell" company with no real customer service or management to speak of. AVOID AVOID AVOID!
This company is horrible. The upper management has a problem with lack of communication. I wish I didnt waste 2 months working for this company. I was told that I would receive my PTO once left, but that was a lie. I have contacted corporate office and have yet to receive a return call. I have contacted the regional manager, but she fails at responding even though I have been told I would receive a response. I was put on a property with very little training and no help. I worked 6 to 7 days a week without someone reaching out to me. My hard work was not appreciated. The company keeps adding extra charges to the residents. Rent seems cheap, but once all the extra fees are applied, the resident pays nearly $200 on top of rent. Residents pay for valet trash and regular trash. The apartments are horribly outdated and overpriced. I wouldn't not recommend this company to work or live on any of their properties.
Our apartment is Twelve 6 Ten at the park in Dallas, TX. Absolutely horrible place... bed bugs infest every building, roaches and stray cats all over the property. RUDEST staff I have ever encountered. Have been pondering a law suit for a few months. Have been trying to reach corporate offices for months with no returned calls. They will respond to any reviews you leave just to keep up appearances but will do nothing to correct the issues. If you want further details just search the apartment I listed above. I included photos as well. It's a wonder their properties haven't been shut down for health code violations.
I'm a resident of one of their properties since 2017 and I was always very well assisted when needed. The neighborhood is always clean and very well maintained, and staff members are very friendly. Jefferson Souza The Estates at Park Avenue Orlando, FL
I ve been living here since 2011, the service has dropped to the bottom of the bucket. The company keeps the outside property well managed but the actual apartment homes are not important. Don t be fooled. I ve been waiting on electrical work to be done for months. Most days I have to cook by lantern. BH MANAGEMENT IS TRASH
Mariah went above and beyond to help 4 of my employees, 3 of which were from out of country, to get settled into a nice 2 bedroom unit. Would highly recommend working with her and her team.
They've done some good as far as making repairs and doing some slight upgrades to things like the toilets, but they keep trying to introduce ways for the tenants to pay more for what we already have. First it was the parking fiasco, which was a joke, now it's taxes and fees added on.
Review/recommendation is for Rob Dillow, Regional Facilities Manger. We were having severe flooding problems at Windermere at Lake's Edge in Ocoee, FL. He came out and in 1 day cleared it out, dug and piped and set up a sump pump to drain the water from the walkway. I came out my door at one time and saw him elbow deep in the mud! Talk about going above and beyond! Now we can all walk up/down the walkway between Bldgs 9 and 10 - yay1
They refuse to provide you a copy of your executed lease agreement; even regional managers (Lisa Johnson) do not respond to emails or voicemails. Horrible service.
Having an issue with a property in Charlotte, NC. The corporate office does not respond in a timely manner and the change is the office staff is less than desirable.
I would give this corporation 0 stars if possible. They are so rude and uncaring. I went through the worst experience in their apartments in Midland ,tx. They never fixed anything and were rude and yelled if you got upset at the situation More
My fiances mom just passed away on April 7th. The Cambridge landing apartments in Oklahoma City is trying to throw the rest of the lease on me, a 17 year old, and a 1 year old baby all of whom just lost a loved one in the apartment. This makes me sick that people like this are so narrow minded that they only care about money and when they'll get it. Completely heartless and on top of that they keep threatening to tow the deceaseds car. We will see when the news comes out here to report these apartments and the company for not having any morales or sense of empathy. Never rent here for you will be doomed to be treated like an animal
Made multiple complaints about a faulty light in my 2nd bedroom, no response ever. The property manager is lazy and doesn't do anything in regards to complaints. Spoke to her manager was very condescending and rude. Screwed me out of my deposit for new carpet that just needed shampooing. All over unpleasant and over expensive for crappily built properties.
Never in my life have I experienced such an incompetent renting company. I had a bill that I paid in full at once, and no one told us I should have saved $250 by making this one-time payment. the only reason I found this out was because the payment wouldn t go through on their end. My account had sufficient funds, and I even sat on hold with my bank for an hour before the banker told me it was nothing to do with my account, and that the problem is on BH management s end. I went back and forth about 6 or 7 times trying to get this bill paid. I was told that they would look into the issue and that there was nothing else I needed to do on my end. I then didn t hear back for 2 months. After which, I was expected to pay the full amount and wouldn t receive the discount now that I could not responsibly pay in full. The representative was not apologetic for the delay and not willing to work with me.
They may copy and paste a standard paragraph below this review stating We are sorry that we did not meet your satisfaction, and they will encourage us to reach out to them so that they can discuss how we can better serve you. Yet when speaking directly with a representative, they have no apology and no options to offer.
Overall, the company was an absolute nightmare to work with. Very incompetent, unprofessional, and unable to take accountability. Please save your money and rent elsewhere.
The customer service was unhelpful and deceptive. Initially, they tell me they will hold my account until they get proof of an unusual charge.
Four months later, they transferred the charge to a debt collector. Apparently, the customer service never held my account. When I asked, they refused to explain to me how to resolve the issue.
I ve lived in two different apartments owned by BH Management (Williams Reserve, IL and Estates on Maryland, AZ). We had better experiences in the Illinois apartment. Maintenance responded within 48 hours. The community was well taken care of and they completed fitness center renovations within a couple of days. The apartment itself wasn t great, and it was made out of cheap materials. However, our move out date was July 1. We were moved out by June 26. They charged us for rent and utilities for July 1, even though we were moved out, just because that s when the contract ended. Overall we were pretty much satisfied besides that last bit. With Estates on Maryland, we had to deal with moving across the country, and they were not very helpful, but we really needed to sign a place and we liked the apartment itself. Since moving in, in less than a month, they closed down the fitness center, the game room, and the Internet cafe for renovations that they claim will be done in 2 and a half months. We have to participate in trash valet service, which we would rather take out the trash on our own. Maintenance requests take anywhere from one to four weeks to be completed, with me constantly calling in. There are hidden fees after you move, such as for a gate key, for a gate that works 50% of the time. My car was towed though I pay for covered parking, my parking hanger fell off my rear view mirror and it was towed that same day. The ONLY positive thing is the apartment itself. We like the space. However, everything else is terribly managed and not taken care of. They care about the money and not the residents.
Would make it 0 stars if i could. Lived there for over a year and a half and changed management about 6 times total over the year. None of which have been nice or helpful when it comes to servicing requests. Had an issue with the wiring in our second bedroom which made it so we could not use the light in that room or else it would blow the fuse box. Which is a highly dangerous situation especially in and appartment. Called management 3 different times over a 2 weeks period and left 3 messages. Never heard a word back from anyone. Finally i called again about a month later and got the manager, who said she would get someone up to fix it immediately. Come 2 months later and we move out.. still no one came to fix anything. Then comes move out day. We cleaned the appt and took plenty of pictures and videos just in case. Then a month goes by and we get our return of the deposit, which was $500. The normal cleaning charges were on there along with a $288 for new carpet? The carpet was not new when we moved in meaning we shouldnt have to pay for new carpet for no reason. We have plenty of pictures so we are not worried about it at all. We asked for the corporate office to send us proof that the carpet needed replacement and they will not supply the info so we will be seeing them in small claims court. B&H Management should not be in business they are nothing more than your average swindlers. You guys are bottom feaders and will never get anywhere with the way you treat tenants.
The apartment complex I live in has gone downhill fast.. The manager is rude, the new assistant manager is even ruder.. We have had no pool for half of the summer each year I have lived here.. I have sent messges to the actual BH office, but its been over 2 weeks with no response.. If the corporate office treats their residents poorly, I don't know why I would expect different from the actual leasing office..... They can keep evicting people, because this girl who has NEVER been late on rent in 3 years will not be renewing her lease!!!
I am from Des Moines, IA, but I live in St. Petersburg, FL. I live at a BH Management property. I have never lived in an apartment so poorly managed. Knowing this was a "Des Moines" property I had really high expectations. When we first signed the lease the leasing agents gave us a higher rent amount that we were initially promised. After they would not budge, we had no other place to go, so we reluctantly agreed to the price. When we first entered our apartment we were greeted by broken appliances, leaking faucets, an infestation of roaches, a gecko, and mouse feces. We've had numerous issues getting in contact with leasing agents and with maintenance. And we've attempted to complain to headquarters in Des Moines with no success (after both phone calls and emails). We've had a car towed due to poorly marked parking spots; we've had fines added to our rent for no reason; we've had scheduled maintenance appointments with no one showing up (which is particularly frustrating because I took time off work). The apartment grounds are filthy, and the pool closest to our building has been a cesspool for bugs for a year. If anyone ever considers living in a BH Management I will do everything I can to convince them otherwise.
On my property here in lovely Tennessee. I have been stuck with roaches for going on 4 months. I have contacted the office about this every week. Angie the property manger at Preakness apartments in Antioch is absolutely no help. The whole staff just lies and have really nasty attitude when your asking for any type of help. Pest control comes and sprays a little then leaves. I ve had my apartment bombed and overly sprayed with bug spray. I m actually terrified for my health because of all the spraying and the roaches but no one seems to care. Angie and her staff are never in the office except when rent is due. They do not answer the phones and they make promises they can t keep. For the money I pay for this place I deserve a home without bugs. Almost every apartment has them, I have spoken to my neighbors. There s water leaks trash breezeways light fixtures don t work. But no one wants to help. I hate this place and would NEVER recommend it to anyone not even the devil himself. I feel like I ve been more than patient with them but they re taking my kindness for weakness. This company really just needs to be shut down.
In this company, the worker can not complain with human resources because they agree with the administration to admonish you for the minimum and change the company's policy at their convenience whenever they need it and it is worse if you are Hispanic. Golf Stream Isles apartment.
I have been trying to get ahold of our district rep for a week or so now. They have called my boyfriend, but never called him back like they said they would.
We had a leak that stopped within 24 hours, and our ceiling is still very soft. They believe we are not in danger of mold which they are mistaken.
I live in Autumn Vista in Duluth, GA. Every since we have moved in we have had roaches. The management company refuses to take action and get rid of them. They would rather come every Friday and spray my apartment down with harsh chemicals. I have spoke with management and people from corporate numerous time. I have start documenting all the roached I see so that when the time comes NOONE can say I didnt try to talk with someone and this handled. This is what I pay $1200 a month for?! I am embarrassed to have company over. They dont give a dam about there tenants! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!
Rented 3 month. spent whole day to clean up everything, and made the room better than when we moved in, Then you charged me $120 for cleanup? cleanup what? you name it. we cleaned both tub, toilet, sinks, refrigerates, oven, range (replaced all 4 tops), cabinet, vacuumed carpet, any place you name it. I suspect you never went to the room, and simply hired someone to do the clean up.
The Knolls Marietta Ga. Apartment flooded, they said they would put up a tarp never did, flooded again. Its been almost a month and they have yet to complete the work. By now the mold is off the chain . The have shower caulk on the entire side of the building as a quick fix. Bad thing is the Manager lived in my unit. The females in the rental office are very rude and ghetto. ALL OF THEM. For all the money we pay this complex and company is a joke. Yet they have money to redo the LANDSCAPING!!! Keisha has yet to follow through on any work to be done. I am so sick of these ghetto girls in this expensive complex. I would not recommend this place to anyone
A\C unit was very dirty inside and not draining condensation. Humidity in apt. was 77%. I requested the unit to be taken out and hosed out to get rid of all the debris and scum from standing water.
Much to my surprise the unit was replaced with a new one with remote control and energy saving mode!
Humidity is now down to 56% and unit does not run non stop.
Every since BH Management has taken over Colorado Club Apartments, things have changed drastically for the worse. I applied for an 100 % upgraded unit (2 bedroom and 1 bath), went to do my walk through and noticed that my unit was not upgraded one bit. The problem was brought up to upper management (Shelly -Property Manager) and she has refused to do anything about about it. I then email corporate (BH MANAGEMENT) and i was talked to very badly by Angela Sam. I have been disrespected like this in my life. every time i opened my mouth to speack i was over talked and rudely cut off in mid conversation. I was being told that i was HATING on her or the property. She talked to me horrible. Instead of her offering any solutions, she stated "ill give you your money back". Either give me what i am being charged for or decrease my rent.
I am a former tenant of BH Management property (The Pathway) in Houston. I submitted my letter of vacancy 60 day as indicated on my lease and left the apartment in the same condition I got it. I moved out Sept 16, 2015 and was told I will be getting my security deposit in 6 weeks. I have called, emailed and no response from BH Management. When I moved in the my complex, BH just took over and the service took a nose dive ever since. I will not recommend anybody to rent with them.
By far the worst management company I have ever experienced through an apartment complex. They will not respond when a property has done a clear wrong. They are unwilling to cooperate and train their employees to do the same.
called to talk about my emotional support dog not being allowed at one of their apartment complexes and got hung up on. tired of this company and the property i am at!!! do not recommend them at all
Office full of liars in Tempe location by ASU. Before the switch-over of new management, I sent email confirmation of my intent to move out when my lease ended. Old management did not put this in their system as a confirmation that I was moving out when my lease ended. Went into the office and talked to a new manager that said I should just send a 30 day confirmation and would be fine to move out on time. Now strung into paying an extra month of rent after receiving email denying the validity of my 30 day notice. Upper management reviewed my email and claimed that it did not suffice as a written confirmation to move out. These people will take advantage of you and lie straight to your face to make money off you. They have only been managing for a month and are already tricking tenants. Other people I saw in the office had the same issue. Avoid living here, find a place with better tenant service who won't lie and take extra money.
It s sad that my apartment are horrible and they gave me this number to call and I have been calling for months leaving voicemails and not once did anyone call me back....still waiting....
Latitude Apartment Complex in Phoenix, AZ doesn t even deserve one star. I m absolutely disgusted, discouraged & infuriated at this point. I m not even sure where to start. The complex itself is way over priced for the cheap & crappy way it s updated (which you can t tell when you walk through the staged model that they show you). But I was able to live with that & just bide my time there until my lease was finally up. What I can t seem to wrap my head around is how horrible the management at this place is. I simply cannot understand how they haven t been sued or how they are even still in business.
Our APS bill the first two months totaled out to $700 for a 900 sq ft apartment due to the unit being so old & the construction being so poor.
They entered my apartment 4 times without permission. The first time, we were unaware they were even going in until we got home right as they were leaving. The second time, my boyfriend received a call asking if they could go in to which he responded, not at this time, but I will be home at 3pm and you can enter once I get there. Once again, he got home & found a completed work order (which had been outstanding for 60 days) sitting on the counter of our apartment. The third time they called & asked if they could enter & he specifically told them that we have been having issues with them entering without permission & that they CANNOT enter without us present. They acknowledged him & said they would wait till he got home. Again, there was another outstanding completed work order on our kitchen counter. The final time was just a few weeks before we moved out where there was a note saying that a work order could not be completed because they could not find where our fridge was leaking. Our fridge was never leaking in the first place, we never made that call. When we called down to the office, their response was, oops, it must ve been the unit on the east side, not west! Sorry about that!
Everything in the apartment would break. The toilets, washer machine, the fridge, the towel rack, the front door lock (real safe). You name it, it probably broke at some point within the 9 months we were there.
I was so excited to move out of there & never have to look back again. Much to my dismay, that s not what happened. I was sent my move out statement totaling up the damages I had to pay for. The overcharges within this letter were outrageous totaling to a shocking $1,000 but I sucked it up & decided to just pay so that I would never have to deal with those horrible people again. I called the number they provided to set up a payment plan. To my surprise, a COLLECTION agency answered the phone. I moved out of my apartment on May 31st, the letter was sent on June 9th & I called the number that the letter provided me on the 15th. How could they send me to collections without giving me the chance to pay the balance due & only 2 weeks after the end of my lease? When I contacted the office (after calling & getting the voicemail a total of 8 times & leaving 3 messages), the assistant manager responded with, "well that's just our policy so..."
The management there are some of the worst people I've had to deal with, which says a lot considering how level headed I am. They don't care about what's going on in the place that you live. They shrug everything off. To them, you're just a hassle.
Please, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, TIME & ENERGY ON THIS PLACE. They are scammers. Look up their reviews on google before you decide to sign a lease here. I wish I would've.
Usually pretty good. But I have been waiting for a new toilet for 2 months. And recently when the AC broke we were not told or updated on progress. It took over 12 hours to fix and even then was not working as before
Terrible service notice the reviews have a consistent theme. Water Pipe broke in Apartment above mine, they are using my electricity for humidifiers and fans the assistant manager on the property states we don t give away apartments. Keep in mind the water damage is in my two bedroom apartment (damage master bed/bath, laundry room, living, dining, and kitchen) one maintenance person (who was awesome) sent out to clean up and help me move stuff around. We told Assiatant Manager we have an asthmatic 5 year old child, and a 19 month old she DOES NOT CARE. And not aware of carpet fibers, new pad they are installing and the sheet rock, said call your renters and have them put you in a hotel an adjuster takes 48 hours to respond. They expect us to stay in a place they are coming to be fixing for days possibly weeks. And the gate is broken 19 days out of 30 on average so far. STAY AWAY
this is by far the worst management I have ever had to deal with. Doris from Imperial Tower in waukegan is absolutely rude and unhelpful, very discriminatory and I regret living in this apartment after a change in management. Glad I finally moved out and i'm sure they would put the whole place in ruins soon with this kind of service where there is no regard for their tenants.Would not recommend that place to my worst enemy!
Roach and bug infested property! Incompetent staff from leasing to corporate! You have to do entirely too much to even get someone to consider helping you. Ridiculous!
I am waiting for a leak in my bathtub to be completed. If you will refer to my last work order when this was reported, I was told that a part was needed. I am concerned about follow up and how long it takes for repairs to be completed. I do realize that I am not the only one at Carriage Hill, but I have noted this kind of thing happening since I moved here. We all know that if I don't keep up my part as a tenant, I will run into late charges and possibly eviction. Just asking for the same courtesy. Thanks for getting this matter completed.
Ever since BH management took over eagle landing, Custimer service is HORRIBLE. I recently started seeing roaches. I put in a work order for them which was marked "completed* quickly although no one came by my apartment. I have left 5 voice mails asking for someone to call me back. NO return phone calls and it's been almost 2 weeks. I have since put in 2 more work orders for the roaches. Still I have roaches all over my kitchen. I placed the 3rd work order today around 3pm..by 7 pm, It was marked "completed" . AGAIN, no one even came by my apartment. I would not recommend anyone move to their properties.
Before last weekend I had no complaints, I read the reviews and said it was unfortunate that others experienced the issues they had...... I actually followed mgmt from another complex, however after reading these reviews, I see that I am not alone when it comes to that girl they have in the office. She is extremely rude, her little side comments and facial gestures will cause them to loose current and future tenants
This past weekend I had a event in the clubhouse, it was raining, and I was not aware that when renting the clubhouse during their office hours you can t use the bathroom located right next to the clubhouse inside of the leasing office. Instead we were told we had to use the bathroom outside near the pool.
In addition, I was not aware that my guests (8 women ) would have to walk around to the back in the rain to get inside the clubhouse.
Now I will give her this, with some guests she allowed them to walk through, but I did have some guess complain about her the moment they arrived and I said she was probably having a bad day. Trying to give her the benefit of the doubt.
Half way through my event, one of my guests went to the locked door and asked this same girl if she could use the bathroom , it was raining. Words were said, the girl slammed the door in my guests face, My other guest told her she had poor customer service, whether she yelled it at her or not, the fact that she slammed the door in her face and hit her foot as she slammed the door, this is unacceptable. No one yelled at that girl, but just wanted to use the restroom while it was pouring outside. If she had proper customer service I would have called my manager to see if rules could be adjusted because of the weather, instead she called and said that my guests yelled at her, but did she tell them how she acted? Absolutely not!
I am sure they have cameras in the front, run the footage! See the incident, see the neck role , hands going off while on the phone.
What makes it even worse, when I went to use the bathroom outside, there were bugs on the floor, sink, ceiling exposed. You could tell they were renovating it, however if you have a tenant who is renting the clubhouse, make sure that the bathroom is presentable.
I bragged about this complex to my guests, two of them wanted to inquire about staying there, however after the rudeness that child displayed and the decor of the bathroom they changed their minds.
I am extremely disappointed because with all of this , I emailed mgmt and have yet to get a response or acknowledgement that you received my email. Not even a phone call to see what happened, get my side.
I am sure they will respond to this review.
So it is obvious to me you believe her. I will tell you this, I know I am not the first and won t be the last to complain about her.
My apartment atOakMill is great, building is great, quiet, friendly neighbors. I had one maintenance request and it was resolved the next day.
My account for paying rent has not worked right since I moved in in May, and I'm still pestering them to fix it so I can set up auto pay. It hasn't worked so far and I've had to do manual payments.
They had a past due amount on my acct that was erroneous as I just paid the full balance in early August. I sent an email and they removed the past due amount, but my account still isn't working right.
I'm going to stop by the leasing office at lunch today since emails don't seem to have an effect in resolving the remaining account issue.
Watch your account carefully. They were still charging me for valet trash service even after they discontinued the service until I pointed that out.
Beware tenants who want to renew your lease with this company. They send you an renewal invitation stating that a carport or storage unit COMES with your renewal. When you sign the lease they start charging you for what you picked. When you question them about it they tell you that it's MANDATORY. They threaten you with eviction if you don't pay it. Deceptive business practices.
This management company is horrible. Strongly suggest going elsewhere. I was lied to consistently just to get me into their apartments only to see several changes in price, inquiries on credit (which they said they wouldn't look at my credit just my rental and criminal), and fees. DO NOT USE THEM.
We had Auto Payment set up on our account. I don't know how it got removed and we got a charge of 150$ late fee. We had proof in our emails that we have auto payment set and we showed the management. The reply i received was we don't know how the auto payment got removed.. we cant do anything... seriously then who will do.. worst management Even the so called regional manager did not help and i waited outside the office to talk..but she was in a meeting and she did not care. I feel these guys purposefully remove the auto payment and try to charge for late fee.. Not recommended.
Rent cafe error....when I paid printed receipt showing 0 balance on due date less than one week later got letter stating I had not paid all my rent and still owed plus a $100 late fee. Sent them copies of statements Still waiting for accounting to rectify account 2 weeks later.
Today I came home to my apartment reeking of paint fumes. Apparently the family above me moved out and the apt needed new carpet, resurfacing, ect.. This left my apt filled with the smells of all the above. My small dog has also been locked inside all day with this. NO WARNING! NO CURTESY! Now I'm sitting in my apt with all the doors and windows open, fans going and its almost 100 DEGREES outside, since I am in Texas, and it's SUMMER! Who is paying this electric bill??????????????????
Nate was the best manager The Crossings ever had. The new management company refuses to fix safety issues. The front gates are broken and even when they had a rash of break ins they have not fixed them. They refuse to put up railings around slick concrete stairs. They do not answer their phones during the day and today maintenance said that I had to call the office to report my broken dishwasher.
I work for Roto Rooter of DSM as a dispatcher (Trisha) and we have had the best service from Sam. She's very professional, nice, kind, and just all around a fun person to talk to. All my technicians who go to a location for a service call absolutely love working with Sam. We could be having a bad day and she knows how to crack the jokes and make us laugh or smile. I am very glad that I get the opportunity to work with Sam on a daily basis throughout the week and that my tech's are provided such wonderful customer service while on job site.
It was cool when I first moved in. Then when harvey hit. These apt never been the same. They started going down. But the manager Amanda was great. Hopefully they get those apts back open and be great again. Wish y'all nothing but the best. One of ur last tenants to move out a few days ago cuz of the closure to forest park apt.
Overall I enjoy living at Timber Creek. One thing I must raise as a concern is about the parking availability. I have been under the impression that all vehicles must have license plates/registration. With parking being limited I have noticed one vehicle (Black Audi) that has no plates, window open and rear window missing. This vehicle has been parked for over 1 week that hasn't been moved. Could this be please checked out and made to conform to the same rules the rest of us adhere to. Thank you
This has been the worst experience with an apartment. When we transferred from our 1bedroom to our 2 bedroom, they tried to slap us with a $400 fee for carpet they claimed they replaced. When we asked for the invoice, we sat in the office with the leasing manager for nearly half an hour looking for an invoice that didn't exist. Once we transferred to the 2 bedroom, we had a leak in our ceiling because of water in the unit above us. After they "fixed" it, we had another leak in our ceiling because the in the unit above us flooded. We called maintenance several time with no answer. When we went to the leasing the next day to find out why we didn't hear anything, their response was they had already addressed the leak, not realizing there was another leak ( had they listened to our entire messages). Instead of making sure there were no issues with water in the ceiling, they literally painted over all the stains. They didn't even seal the cracks from where leaks originated until I threatened the regional manager with legal action. There has been a 3rd leak, there is now a hole in my ceiling along with more stains. I spoke with the leasing office yesterday. Supposedly they're calling out a contractor (supposedly they calle one out last time). Until then there is a lovely hole in my ceiling along with a large brown stain, and my living room lights no longer work. I will never recommend this place to anyone. I will also be reporting this, and I sincerely hope the proper authorities penalize them for their negligence.
BH Management manages the apartment property where my husband and I live. I'm giving them three stars because their service is just mediocre. Our apartment property is very nice. They recently did a huge renovation to the interior of all units and while aesthetically everything is very nice, it truly was just a makeover. The appearance is very modern and minimal and pleasing to the eye. However, the quality of materials is just okay. Our vinyl flooring has been bubbling and lifting in certain places since we moved in immediately following renovations. In addition, the quality of service is just okay. We receive attention to maintenance requests or other concerns, but not within 24 hours. The quickest response is typically within 48 hours, and the longest we've waited before kicking up a fuss to get a response was recently 6 weeks (to non-essential maintenance for a sink faucet repair). Our rent increase this year was significant. We went to the office to discuss options with them and were not given any - we were simply told that we moved in at a good rate which was significantly lower than the current market rate and should expect increases over the next few years to get us to that rate. Generally, the staff are pleasant but the office feels tense, as if they are expecting a fight rather than to provide customer service and work with residents on concerns. We love the amenities here and their concern for improving the property. We appreciate the location and access to neighborhood services. Overall, we are happy, but feel the company could do a better job with truly connecting to residents and providing meaningful service.
Really!? First off your leasing girls are pathetic. I'm surprised they know theur own names. Called one out about two months ago when moving to Phx from it of state, passed all of your reqs, but was denied... which I'm glad because the photos of Estates on Maryland you have posted are very misleading - they're not that nice. Regardless, now the girls constantly email me which is great since I'm right down the street now. You see we were approved at every other luxery apt complex and got to choose.
By the way, don't even fathom renting inner of their properties! They hide fees inside the lease and fail to be upfront until you press them on it. Door trash valet, they automatically include it. Or how about the pest control fee? Yep YOU pay for it on top of your rent. Or move out after your year ends and they charge you an additional $1200 for cleaning and painting so you'll never get your deposit.
