Kids had a great time at the water park, a little annoyed at the large group of teens that were at the waterpark screaming and being disrespectful, especially considering they didn't have wristbands so they didn't even pay to be there but the staff didn't seem to care.
Had their burger. not bad! it was hand made not a frozen patty.
We stayed at The Best Western plus (Port-o-call) and just loved it! Everything was perfect for our stay there with our hockey team. The kids loved it too - especially the water park. They had so much fun. All the staff that we encountered were very friendly and extremely helpful. We can't wait to go back!!!

This was a Wonderful location. It had a coffee bar, a lounge,a resturant, a nail salon and hair salon. Not to mention pools and hottubs. Everything you could possibly need on a trip.
Hot breakfast and a pool. Kids liked this place. Easy location near highways. Not much in the area if you like to walk around though.

The hotel was awesome! We tried to get poolside rooms but all sold out by the time of booking our room.... The service and front end staff were very accommodating and friendly.... The restaurant have great staff but the food was horrible.... The over all experience was great but will not be paying extra for dinner or breakfast again during our next stay with the Port o Call....
The rooms are spacious and well maintained, the swimming pool is quite small and the hot tub more "warm" than hot. The staff were all very profession and friendly, very accommodating too! Easy to find, and although the hotel was full it didn't feel busy. Will stay there again!
We just checked in and so far this is a wonderful place. The gentleman at the front desk was spot on and very welcoming and helpful with everything. Looking forward to our stay.

We had an excellent stay at the Port O Call with a large group of International high school students. We had a great experience with the facilities of the fitness centre and waterslide which accommodated over 100 students. The breakfast buffet was efficient and exceptional and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming to our group which included students from a dozen different countries. Thanks for a great experience. We would certainly come back for the value and the quality of the service as well as the great facilities.

Great experience overall with my family. Wi-fi was slower than normal for a hotel. Air conditioning was not working as expected - room was always hotter than the outside corridor regardless of the temperature set on the thermostat. Amazing breakfast, many different items and cozy atmosphere. And the water park is perfect for a family.

This hotel deserves its high rating. The waterpark is the best of its kinds, the staff are excellent, underground parking is free, rooms and Hotel are clean, foods decent and location is great for the airport or Jaycee Slo Pitch Park.
We've stayed here many times but this was our first weekend stay and boy oh boy was it busy! They are currently having some pretty serious problems with their elevator. I hope the owners will repair or replace them as I feel just terrible for the staff. We came back from a walk and there was at least a dozen people waiting for the one very slow elevator car and the guests were not happy. The do have very nice stairwells - we chose to use the stairs even with two babies and a stroller, it's unfortunate the other able bodied guests don't see the stairs as an option but they dont which resulted in a lot of tension in the air and I imagine a long night dealing with unhappy guests.
If you are a grumpy traveller I would not recommend staying here on the weekend as it's a popular place - especially with families.

Additional pro tip: the rooms that share a wall with the waterpark get very warm, humid and noisy. Air conditioner works just fine but if those conditions bother you ask for a room away from the water park.
Elevator didnt work and the other had a mind of its own, you push down and it would take you up. Bathtub was plugged and had an inch of scum water in it, didn't realize that till a 11pm and the only other room available was a king bed suit, with 2 adults and 2 teens, no thank you. So in the morning we had to go shower in that room down the hall. No free continental breakfast. Hottub is so small, 5 person. Shallow pool too, good for kids

Excellent hotel, nicest staff we've encountered! It was also the only hotel that had a truly handicapped room. The bar next to the toilet went horizontal for a foot, then bent up toward the ceiling. The shower was the best I'd seen as well. I won't stay anywhere else now.
Great place, clean rooms .. Please watch your children... And those near you... in pool . no one prevents them from going in front of the waterslides.. No life guard on pool section, only at the top of slides.. Too noisy for safety!
One child was going under and there were adults all around her...arms length. And no one heard her gasp for help. Or saw her.
Saved by one holding a baby who saw this struggle and ran from the hot tub to rush into pool
Clean, large family sized rooms fantastic pool with two waterslides and two hot tubs. A second pool in the basement. Brunch is good. The pubs food is not great. About five minutes from city center attractions by car. Great for families with children.

The TV remote would not work. It was very frustrating. The hotel was very clean. I loved the deep and large bathtub.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Front desk staff gave lots of information on services in hotel. I received a welcoming phone call a few minutes after I got into my room, making sure that everyone was good. Very clean. I had some documents to scan and the manager was very willing to do so for me. More than one option for pillow softness. Fun waterpark with 2 slides, kiddie pool, and hot tub. Additional pool and hot tub in basement. Breakfast was amazing though not included with every booking. Shuttle service for airport though only every hour in the evening so it can be a long wait at the airport.
Water Park is awesome! Our room was great and super well kept. A+. Especially considering how cheap it was.

We had stayed at this hotel and an exhaust fan was down in parkade making a vacuum through the pool and made the pool side door in hotel room make a noise. Staff put us in a jacuzzi suite for 2 days that we stayed, but on top of that they gave us two free nights to use at any time we wanted. We just used again and they put us back in pool side room. Exhaust fan was fixed and we had the best sleep ever. Very enjoyable and my four year old boy just loved the water slides and pool. Thanks best western

I ve been to this hotel a total of 3 times and I m always so blown away by one staff member as they are all kind and helpful there is one that s blows me away. I believe her name was Virgina a very kind and respectful lady who always amazes me as she remembers my family every time. She always knows our drink orders, shes always trying to make my kids laugh which isn t hard to do cause they love her. She has such a warm and inviting feelings that could melt a strangers heart. I truly hope she can be recognized for all her wonderful efforts and attributes. Thank you for making our stays as wonderful as possible.
One of the better best westerns I've stayed it. It wad clean and quiet and very modern on the inside.
I got a king suite room and it had a few couches and a desk and king side bed and jacfuzzi tub.
Airport shuttles leave ok the hour every hour to the airport and it leaves from the airport every half past the hour.
All the staff were professional and courteous. Id love every best Western experience to be like this! I was just travelling through but well done guys!
Excellent front desk staff, nice clean rooms. Everything you could ask for to be comfortable for a night. And a shuttle service to the airport every hour on the hour with only a 15 minute ride!

Was here for a business trip. It is a standard BW hotel. The good: Staff was friendly, bed was comfortable, and the water park would be great for kids. Check in / Check out were quick.
The bad: it took a long while for hot water to come out in wash room. The TV set was mounted so closed to the wall that I could not plug in a HDMI cable to view videos from my laptop. The online express check out did not work.
Exceptional Hotel to stay at especially with the water park for the young and old to enjoy, great staff, great service and excellent breakfast buffet. The only place to stay in Calgary in by books.
This hotel is very well set up with all the amenities like pools, excersize rooms and restaurants. Excellent food and service, Front end staff did everything requested and were very helpful. NIce place to relax as everything is close at hand in this complex.

My family stays here every time we go to calgary. The pool is amazing and the staff always make us feel welcome. The rooms are a decent size (we've seen bigger.) The location is very close to multiple restaurants for every taste and desire.

What a perfect facility for a hockey team with 9 and 10 year olds. It's the perfect facility for a team, great complementary breakfast and had a great stay!
Went for Sunday Brunch Buffet. Good variety of food that was tasty. Omelette station and a roast station for freshly cook and cut food. Nice mix of breakfast and lunch choices with dessert, fruit, and a chocolate fountain. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The kids love the pool, breakfast buffet is awesome. Need family rooms though, with separate bedrooms.
