Nothing exceptional. Water park area is great for older kids, but it s chaos. Breakfast should not be an additional charge, it s a basic complimentary breakfast you can get at any hotel for free

Good lunch buffet. Not $ cheap.

Went for Brunch. It was nice. Staff was super friendly and accommodating to everyones needs. Food was good too, different varieties. I loved the chocolate fountain!!! Would definitely come again.

I went to the buffet here, but I was a little disappointed.
It might be good as a feature that there were a lot of main fish, but I want a main with a little more volume.
I also say that one kind of soup ...
There were many types of desserts, but the taste was the same?
As it is good in one day, I want mains to be featured.

Waterpark is a blast for the kids but our room faced the water park and it was very noisy until it closed down which was difficult since we traveled with 2 young children who normally go to bed much earlier.

I was very impressed with this Best Western Plus! The hotel seems brand new, the staff is warm, and my kiddos had a blast in the pool!

This hotel is fantastic. Staff are great underground parking and restaurant and servers are top notch. If you get Jenny in the restaurant she has been there five years she remembers you day to day and your preferences exceptional. The property is very clean and quoet rooms . I have sataued here many times the shuttle to the airport is on time and you can arrange to leave your car in the underground parkade while you are travelling from the airport .highly recommend this place.

Fanatastic hotel and very affordable, especially you book though an app like trivago or hotels.ca.

The food at the restaurants is very good and the price is right. Staff were very friendly and helpful across all departments.

Best part is the amazing indoor water park that kept our kids happy and entertained for hours.

Wonderful place to stay near the airport. If you have children they have a waterpark on site.

When we arrived the staff had made up a picture of a panda with my daughters name on it for her. (She loves them). Seeing her smile at the unexpected present was worth the trip right there. Then we ordered room service (nachos) and they didn t have any cheese once the first layer was gone so we called to just ask for more to heat it up ourselves. They brought a whole new plate of nachos and two drinks. Again my daughter thought this was the most amazing thing. Great service. So great with kids.
The pool is a blast and provides life jackets at no cost which was helpful because I forgot my daughters.

I was here for a training conference, and was very early due to my flights. So I found a nice spot and relaxed while waiting for my conference. The hotel manager noticed this and started conversation. He made me feel a welcomed guest, even though I wasn't staying there at this time. I was treated exceptionally by him, and so to was his attentive staff who were wonderful in the hotels restaurant. Buffet was the best ive had in a hotel, with excellent fresh fruit. Would recommend hotel and will book here in the future if I'm in Calgary.

My wife really likes the waterpark here. Friendly and courteous staff. One of our favorite hotels, especially when flying out of Calgary.

Nice, clean room. Have to book pool time (COVID) which was completely understandable, but there seemed like way too many people in the pool and we were told it was an hour slot when it was 45 mins and the woman that told us our time was up was kind of rude.. The breakfast that was included you got to pick two options which is great, but the eggs were inedible and my friends pancakes were cold. But the hashbrowns were the best part.

Elevators need to be serviced, parking garage sketchy. Room was clean and comfortable.

My husband and I went to dinner at the Port O'Call Hotel restaurant. Our server, Tyler was very helpful in our choice of meals and our desserts. He was gregarious in his conversations throughout our time at the dinner. Our drinks were kept plentiful. Jen was quick to fill our water and bring our breadsticks to start our meal. The restaurant, our table and bench were clean. Overall our experience was very pleasant.

Came to stay and parked our vehicle here for a week when we traveled south for Thanksgiving. The staff is very courteous... And the hotel is quite clean. The pool was alot of fun for the kids. Hot tubs were not as warm and the jets were not as strong as I usually like. But that's my personal opinion. Over all, I rate this hotel 4.0 stars do the to the lovely staff and overall hotel experience.

A bunch of us came in on business and ended up trading rooms. This caused some confusion with the front desk initially. Angela was extremely professional and did everything efficiently. We got into our rooms with very little hassle and she even called to see if everything was ok after we were in the room. It's the small things that matter most..

Kids loved the water park. Our hockey team stayed here during a tournament and considering we also received breakfast buffet vouchers, the value compared to the rate was excellent.

If you have a small family, look no further that the Best Western here! The onsite indoor Waterpark is huge! Two slides, a hot tub and small kids area. We played for hours then got cleaned up and went to the harbor restaurant for dinner. My only criticism is that the food here at the Harbor restaurant is really just "ok" at best. Everything is bland and is need if flavor. Otherwise this hotel delivers!

Great Hotel. The staff were super friendly and our room was always cleaned in record time. The continental breakfast was very well done.

Over all our stay was pretty good. I wouldn't recommend the restaurants pasta, very dry. Also complimentary breakfast would have been nice.

This hotel experience was great! Comfey rooms, there's 2 pools with 3 hot tubs and the breakfast buffet was delicious. Would stay again.

The hotel and pool is great! Unfortunately the pull out bed is horribly uncomfortable and we had to have 6 people cram into 2 beds!

Very nice hotel and friendly staff. The room I stayed in was very nice and very clean. High speed internet is actually high speed (download speeds of ~7mb/s. The gym is alright jut a few machines, no free weights. The underground parking is extremely tight.

Handy to Calgary Airport and perfect after a long flight. Kids loved the indoor waterslide and the amenities were fantastic.

I love this hotel. Often use it if flying out of Calgary airport. They have onsite restaurant and amazing breakfast. Plus you can relax in the pool and hot tub. Top tip: if you're leaving your car there in the winter use the heated underground car park. Your car will be safe and warm.

I'm pretty easy on hospitality reviews as I'm in the industry as well. The Port O'Call looked nice and it held great expectations that only some were lived up to. The curbside appeal is amazing updated building HDTVs with an in-house HD cable service that can be controlled by an app off your phone. 2 cup coffee pot. I am impressed by the room the rooms do have it feels very spacious for its actual size. There is a pool and conference rooms a nail parlour 2 restaurants with amazing views. Now here comes the bad and these 3 things stick out the worst in my mind. Not one soft drink vending machine that takes change or bills on-site. If you don't have a working credit card or visa/MasterCard debit you can't buy drinks from the vending machines. I find it very annoying when you have about 3lbs of change from travelling and nothing on a card. They do have snack vending machines on site that do accept change and bills, but these machines don't have any drinks in them. I hope this is just an oversight that will be corrected soon as there are no stores in a reasonable walking distance at night. Next we had the lacking coffee tray they give you enough cups to provide coffee for 4 people but not the supplies to go with it. My first coffee tray didn't have enough coffee whitener for a single coffee. After housekeeping did up my room I had enough whitener and sugar for 2 cups of coffee. Now the last one I was sort of surprised they let this slip. There was a huge black oil stain the size of Texas on the flat sheet near the top close to the pillow. (It was actually a bum imprint you could make out the pockets from the pants they were wearing.) All and all its not bad place at all but not one I will return to in the near future there are other hotels nearby that are competitive in price that have better service and easier accessibility.

Me and my husband got married 2 months ago.

First of all, we want to thank both Virginia Sekhon and Lisa Marthaller for their amazing help coordinating our wedding. They were both always ready to help answer our many questions and meet with us when we needed. They both were always kind and showed that you truly cared that our day was the way we would like it to be. Virginia came to visit us in our suite before the reception started, just to check on us, which showed how much she cares for the people she deals with.

Overall for the day of, it went really well. Nothing really went wrong. At the Hotel we were very happy with the set up. Best Western were able to provide us with everything we needed, such as tables, projector screen and linens. The one thing though that really stuck out to us was the service. The servers for the dinner were so kind and were always smiling. Especially the head server who served us. We can't remember his name but we remember he was always smiling, he made us laugh and was very kind.

The food was really good! We got compliments from a few guests as well about the food. The selection and amount of food was really good as well.

We were really impressed with our Suite that we got. It was such a nice room that we didn't want to leave.

We absolutely recommend Best Western Port O'Call anyone looking for a wedding venue or for a night to stay. The service throughout the hotel is very welcoming, from the front desk, to the restaurant to even the custodial staff. Specifically Nav, when we thought we may have forgotten a small bucket belong to the florist at the hotel, Nav checked at least 3 different places for it. He even text messaged us the following day to confirm that it was not at the hotel. That right there is going above and beyond. All the staff within Best Western really raised the bar for our standards of hotels. Great job to all!

Great place to stay price does change a lot at times, has indoor parking which is great and have security measures to stop just anyone from being in there

Stayed here for a weekend and had the opportunity to upgrade to a pool access room. What perfect room for a family. gated patio for small children and access to the pool. Lots of heated underground parking and if you have a bigger truck lots outside. The amenities were clean and well maintained. Restaurant was great and served kid friendly meals. Will defiantly be staying here again for all trips to the city.

They always go above and beyond to earn your business. That's why I keep coming back. The food is great. The service is great. My kids love the indoor water park. Free Airport transfer shuttle. Recent upgrades were very well done. The rooms are beautiful and the beds comfortable.

Good discount on price of room! Kids loved the pool/water slides! Glad I was only on the 4th floor because I ended up using stairs because the elevators were so slow.

Nov 11, 2020: Would be nice if website stated, just for preparation sake: masks are mandatory when in public places (other than pool area). Time slots must be booked - 45 min increments. 1 slide is open, hot tubs are closed (sign says according to Provincial guidelines, but there are no Provincial guidelines that state that).

*Precovid review was*: Our family loves staying here! The kids can spend all day at the waterslides, plus there's another pool on another floor for them to swim in. Staff is friendly & helpful, rooms are always clean. We'll keep coming back.

Loved this hotel. Staff were efficient and friendly. Waterpark was a blast for the kids and the fitness room was well equipped. Enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast buffet and slept soundly in the super comfy beds. Location is perfect for exploring Calgary Zoo and downtown. Hotel also has special offers to the zoo and other attractions withing Calgary. The kids had a wonderful time watching the Penguin walk at the zoo. It was our first time staying here, but it definitely will not be the last.

Very disappointing. They are not following COVID 19 procedures in the pool / waterpark despite posting on their website and front desk that they are. There was no COVID screening on entering the waterpark area, no contact details being recorded for AHS in case anyone tests positive and social distancing was not being enforced. Everyone just walked straight in. There were no staff present. It was overcrowded and a man in outdoor clothing was standing in the middle of the pool openly coughing repeated without attempting to cover his mouth. I left and informed the front desk that there was no supervision and they claimed the person responsible for screening had left the area to get more towels. They did not seem to understand that part-time screening is pointless. They said the person was only away for seconds but this was untrue as I was there for 10 minutes and saw no staff at all. I returned an hour later to check if it had been rectified. There was a member of staff but still no screening, recording of contact details or enforcement of social distancing. I was willing to try and support hotels opening up again but not after this experience.

Went there for a wedding. The food was delicious, and the people were amazing. Good job overall.

Rooms were fine, average. We came to this hotel specifically for the pool. Called ahead, before booking, and made sure the pool was open. Got confirmation that pool was open, but no one volunteered any information regarding the pandemic restrictions. Fast forward to check-in and we re told we can t get into the pool because it s all booked up for the evening. Every time slot full. If they d explained in advance that we could only swim for 45 minutes each booking, and that on weekends it tends to be fully booked up, we wouldn t have even bothered to stay at this hotel. Overheard at least two other guests having the same argument with the hosts.

I came here for one night with my ps4. I'm trying to save money and didn't want to change flights for 300 dollars. I stayed here. Room was clean.

All I wanted to do was stay in and play ps4. However the hdmi outlet didn't work.

Here I thought my day couldn't get any worse. I called the manager and told him I just want to stay in and play PlayStation. He said that all TV's in rooms have hdmi disabled. But I could have a free movie which I refused.

I told him I was upset because I now had to spend the next 14 hours doing nothing. He said to be patient and he will do his best to serve me. He got a hold of the tech guy and went out of his way to try to fix my stay. 2 hours later the manager showed up with a portable TV with hdmi.

This is exceptional service. I never write reviews bu this story I just had to share.

Great hotel - the rooms are always clean and comfortable. Food at the restaurant and the breakfast are both really good.

Best Western Port O'Call hotel is neat, clean, quiet, welcoming and convenient. The hotel is located near the North side of the city, near the airport and very convenient for guests arriving by air. The staff are both friendly and professional.

We had a wonderful stay. The front desk was very delightful. Especially a gentleman named Erin. The pool was as advertised however the one night we were there they had 2 bus loads of kids check in the pool was absolutely busy... They didn't follow any rules and were just loud and annoying. Good thing they have a second pool one floor down and we escaped from it all.

Clean, updated huge indoor water park. Very nice restaurant and breakfast area that has been recently updated. Even has a nail salon. Amazing spot to bring family, kids will love it. Rates are extremely reasonable. Apx. 100 bucks for a big 2 bed room. Food was fantastic. Staff are beyond friendly. 4 out 5 only because 1. While I was here, major renovations were being done, but workers were clean and tidy, and 2. I've been to 5 star hotels and those are on a totally different level.

For the price however, this place is waaaaay better than you could ever expect.

The pool was great just got there to find out the parking garage was under construction which wasn t mentioned when we booked so there was literally no parking. And we called down after the first day to get our sheets changed and they just made the bed and left the old sheets...

The pool is great fun. Our two boys really enjoyed it. Fantastic food at the restaurant as well. Will definately be back for another visit.
