Best Western Plus Boulder Inn Review

The rooms are clean and well appointed for the price. Better than some higher priced places in Boulder.

We stayed at the Best Western while we were having bathroom renovations at our home. Best part was the breakfast, what a delicious spread of hot and cold offerings. Beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was a nice treat. Very nice amenities and staff.

The hotel is very close to both campus and a few places to eat and shop. The room itself was very clean and the utilities and amenities seem very new. The hotel staff has been very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Friendly, helpful staff, modern decor, comfortable beds, convenient location.

Was so happy to see the pool. Fantastic service! Great space! However, we had to switch rooms from the one we were originally in... There were a few black hairs in the bed & neither me or my boyfriend have black hair. There was also a cigarette ash on the bathroom floor of a no smoking facility. Great stay & rooms, but housekeeping standards need a serious update.

Was very expensive because of a concert in town, didn't feel the price was fair compared to theamenities. The free breakfast was a plus, but this hotel is average with new-ish appliances.

We had a great stay! The breakfast was amazing. Our only complaint was that a maintenance worker (who we assume went to the wrong room) entered our room while we were gone without permission.

Hard to find the entrance, not helpful front desk staff

The room was comfortable and the food was plentiful. Initially though the cable box was unplugged and there was limited parking due to resurfacing work. This was only a problem as my wife came in late and all the slots were taken and the front desk person was not there for an extended period of time, leaving her to circle.

Great place to stay while I attended a conference on the UC Boulder campus. Rooms were nicely furnished.

Perfect hotel close to town and University of Colorado Boulder. Nicely designed rooms, outdoor heated pool, indoor hot tub.

We're doing a seminar and the service in support of that has been outstanding.

The place is clean and organized. I also thought that the breakfast was very rich, variable and well served.

Booked the room last minute, best decision. Room was perfect, bed comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Best breakfast buffet.

Staff un rightfully towed my car from the parking lot, Ari the manager was very unhelpful and rude because he gets 70$ of the towing fee and did not attempt to help me with the matter. Management is coorupt and wouldn t even patch me through to the supervisors because they re afraid of not making the 70 bucks on towing innocent people cars

The hotel was clean, beds comfortable, the staff was very friendly and helpful. My son is a student at CU and lives close to hotel which made the location super convenient. I would definitely recommend staying here. :)

The staff are great very friendly and helpful. The room I had was gorgeous, although I understand it is one of their model rooms so the rest of the hotel may not be up to that standard yet. The location is very convenient for walking to both university campuses, and there are some good retail options very close. Although the hotel is in an area of other hotels and apartment blocks, and close to two major roads, it feels relaxed and peaceful, and the landscaping of the site and area is nice. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely go back when visiting Boulder again.

We were very happy with our stay! The breakfast was exceptional, the room was very comfortable & clean & the staff was very helpful & friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a great place to stay while you work or holiday in Boulder. Good breakfast items, the staff are very helpful and they gave a lot of information. There's a microwave near the lounge area and mini fridge in each room. Upstairs room have balconies and chairs for sitting around, downstairs rooms too but imo won't feel as private. Overall very nice stay.

This hotel is nice, you can tell it's been remodeled recently. My room was not so private but the staff was super friendly and accommodating, I'm positive they wouldve given me a different room if I had asked. I loved the little porch that's attached to each room, i was out there almost every evening as the weather in Boulder this time of year is perfect. I would stay here again.

The location is super convenient; theres a grocery store, post office, gas station, liquor store, coffee, pizza, ice cream, dispensaries and several other local businesses and restaurants all within 4/5 blocks, most within walking distance.

One random thing worth mentioning though is none of my countertops in my room were secured down to the dresser or ninghtstands. Just thought that was REALLY strange. Not sure if all rooms were like this or just mine.

Very nice hotel. Rooms recently remodeled. Friendly and efficient staff. Close to stores and restaurants. Free breakfast - good quality and nice selection. Rooms provided 2 luggage racks and complimentary bottles of water. Good value. Would recommend for your stay in Boulder.

Lovely decor and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast, too!

This hotel was centrally located and within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The only downfall was the breakfast buffet is in a separate building which you have to access from outside the hotel.

Overall we were very happy with our room and experience. Breakfast was great and staff always said good morning and were friendly! Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Was expecting a different type of room from the pictures on the internet. Would be helpful if the pictures were labelled with what type of room (price) they were so you weren't expecting more than you got. We were expecting double sinks and a lighted make-up mirror.

A towel bar by the hand sink would greatly improve the wet wash cloth/hand towel situation, especially if you were trying to re-use towels. Could use another towel bar in the shower area too. Glad there was an exhaust fan in the bathroom!

The "treat bag" in our room when we arrived was a nice touch, but there were two of us and only one of each item in the bag. We also weren't expecting a charge for the water bottles that were in the room...thought they were complimentary; did we miss a sign or something?

The housekeeping staff always smiled and said good morning to you when you passed in the hall.

We used the bikes and the pool while we were there. Pool was nice, but wish there had been a skimmer available to get rid of some of the overnight bugs.

Would definitely stay here again!

This place is right in the bike path as you enter town and had the most amazing breakfast setup.

Not a comfortable hotel. Needs bins to dispose of "takeout" and "traveler" trash, pizza boxes stacked in the hallways. Nice lobby, pleasant staff.

The room we had the seminar/training in was very nice and comfortable. The hotel was easy to get to but had no idea where to go once I got there.

Overall, a very nice hotel with great front-desk staff. Walls were very thin, so bring a white noise machine to drown out those around you. Otherwise, the room was nice & clean, staff very friendly and helpful and in a great location.

Clean. High quality. Good value. No smells. Up to date. Quiet. Had one problem. The television was restricted to such a low volume that I could not even follow the talking of a news broadcaster. I complained and was told that this was not an uncommon complaint.

Comfortable & right across street from Kittredge Cental

What a fantastic hotel! We were here to help our daughter move into her apartment at The Lotus which is literally down the street! The staff is incredibly nice, hotel is beautiful and very clean, beds are super comfy, water pressure is amazing, breakfast is delicious, pool and hot tub are both ideal! My husband took advantage of using the bikes available which was fantastic.
I would definitely return. Thank you!

Service is good. Breakfast is wonderful. Rooms are clean. The parking is horrendous for large vehicles.

Perfect business trip hotel. Quiet yet central, very clean and comfy and not expensive. Rooms open into private patios or verandahs.

Great location if you're visiting the University. Good breakfast, nice staff and prompt attention to any maintenance issues.

Very nice decor. And great view from the upper floors facing either west or south.

Ants in Room! We stayed here because it was pet friendly and got good reviews, however, the reviews are not accurate and our experience is terrible. I set my dogs food down and as he was eating and he dropped a kibble on the floor. Within minutes there were at least 30 ants swarming the dog food. Not only am I allergic to ant bites this is unsanitary and unacceptable for a hotel that is charging $200+/ night. Frankly, It s unacceptable for any hotel. Rooms are not clean and the second room we were moved to smells like cigarettes. Spend a little more money and stay somewhere nicer.

Was a nice hotel, no issues with check in or check out. Friendly staff and was happy they had a little shop with snacks and necessities up front. However, our A/C didn't seem to work and the people above us were very noisy. The bed was comfy though!

Although the Boulder Inn is a Best Western Plus hotel, it has a dynamic that few hotels have. Perhaps it's the beautiful pool area with fantastic mountain views (as you can see to the left), or perhaps it's the people running the hotel. Either way, there was certainly a vibe that I enjoyed while staying at the Boulder Inn in May 2015. All of the expected amenities were provided, including breakfast, pool, hot tub, and convenience store.

Its was simple room with a nice view of the mountains, but the only thing is you cant smoke on the property at all

Nice pool that is open during Covid as long as you observe social distancing. Nice rooms, available snack bar and microwave in the lobby (though the snacks are expensive). Really clean. Our room had a tub which was awesome. Available place to do laundry. Comfy mattress and pillows too which is hard to come by sometimes. Very friendly staff and each room has a little balcony which is also lovely so you can get fresh air inside your room. The thermostat is also controllable! They let us get a late check-out with no additional charge. Overall, really loved our stay! Also the pool is set at 84 degrees

Top of the line BW hotel. Love the room sizes and some terrific views are available in many rooms. Easy highway access and still quiet location with great beds. This is a hard BW to beat, it really sets a standard. Only downside is for those that find it difficult to walk far because fitness center and breakfast area are in a separate building.

Very impressed with what they have been able to do with an older property. The staff here is first class. My room was clean updated and very comfortable. The rate was fantastic when I compared this motel to others in the area. Most ofbthe hotels have not been updated since the 70's. Yet they still charge you for a five star hotel. This was the best bang for my buck. Anthony from Hotel Impossible would be impressed. Really the staff is wonderful. That's a huge compliment from someone with years of customer service experience. It's very difficult to find top notch customer service. Also they are pkaning another extensive remodel in the near future according to the front desk.

Would recommend for anyone staying in Boulder for a short period of time and looking for a great value.

Our stay was fine wasn't the cleanest but the breakfast was great.

Decent hotel. Friendly staff. Reasonable breakfast. Rooms are big and bed is comfortable.

Poor service. The manager refused to accept a Best Western gift voucher, after I specifically called and asked about using it when we booked the room. The person I talked to initially said it would be fine to use, but the manager still refused when we checked in and paid. He wouldn't even talk to me in person, but sent his staff to do it. Definitely would NOT recommend.

EDIT: I can't reply to the post below, so I'll have to do it here. My issue was not related to points at all. As I said, I had a Best Western gift voucher, and asked whether I could use it when booking the room. I was told yes, but the voucher was rejected when paying. Points were not involved at all.

Very tight to get a 70 ft semi in for delivering furniture. Staff was friendly and breakfast was great.

Ari and the staff of the Boulder Inn went above and beyond in helping our large, unweildly group in a tough situation. We will be back!

Everybody is doing their job well. The staff strictly following all the recommendations to minimise the spread of COVID19. I love to keep balcony door open to get fresh air from the outside.

The bed was comfortable but the compliments end there. Breakfast was not good. Our room was dusty and the floor was filthy. I had to request that the room be mopped with water. We reported that our phone didn't work and we don't think that it was ever fixed or replaced. The bathroom door wouldn't shut.

Great place, great location. The only thing I didn't like is the lighting in the vanity area, lights are too high & cast shadows when attempting to apply makeup.

Four stars for staff and breakfast, especially the coffee (best hotel coffee I've had in 20 years & real bagels, too).

Three stars for layout of hotel: Must go outside to access breakfast, on a snowy & wet morning, not a pleasant experience. Also, short flight of stairs from rooms in the 100s to lobby were hard to negotiate with heavy suitcase ... no elevator).

Three stars because no hot water/coffee in lobby. Would've been nice coming in on a stormy night.

THIS PLACE DOES NOT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR!!!!!! the evening manager had our car towed after only being parked there for less than 15 minutes while we were Duscusding if we wanted to stay there. THEN she denied calling the tow company when the tow company told me he had in fact called $300 to get our car released. THE WORST!!!!!

Staff are friendly. Breakfast is decent as American breakfast standards go. Room is clean and in-room facilities work as expected. Laundry room is clean and staff are ready to change for coins to operate them.

One thing to note is that the water bottles in the room are NOT free. I didn't get them in the room for some odd reason.

The amenities are nice and the breakfast is good. The employees are kind and helpful.

There isn't much in the way of noise insulation, I could hear my upstairs neighbors walking around and the people in the side when they spoke loudly. My key card also kept failing, but the employees were quick in helpful in getting them fixed/replaced.
