Best Western Hotel & Conference Center Review

Great place to stay! Everything here was comfortable and quiet. The pool is only 5 ft deep and kind of small for a hotel of this size so it did get a bit crowded. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. I had to do some remote work for the morning and they extended us late check-out so I was grateful for that. Our room was on the eleventh floor so we got some good views of the city. The breakfast buffet in the morning was good and had lots of options. Overall I was very pleased with the stay.

Love the service.free breakfast and free complimentary shuttle to Convention center , restaurants and mall in vicinity.

Not a review about the hotel but their employees. A family member was having a mental health crisis here and the security guard Tracy did an amazing job assisting and contacting the right people to help out. He deserves a raise!!!

Price reduced since we were there for the night while my father-in-law was there for by-pass surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

The hotel itself didn't look the greatest and the staff weren't very friendly at all. I went to a comedy show here that was GREAT. The room the comedy show was in was pretty spacious. It was rundown and outdated looking though. The staff in this area were very friendly and attentive. The food was not the greatest but everyone around me seemed to be enjoying theirs so maybe it was just me. The drinks were decent. Wasn't a hotel I would've been comfortable enough to have gotten a room to stay in.

My family and I came here for our annual Christmas vacation. Mostly we want to get away but not far away from home and enjoy hot tub and indoor pool. This was our first time here and I must say Thank you so much for having us. Thank you for not being a huge disappointment, like so many before you. Despite the elevators needing to be recertified for safety they did operate. Heck I even was fortunate enough to meet one of the funniest comedic actors, Tommy Davidson. I didn't even realize it was really him( thought he was someone who looked like him) until later in the evening when The Comedy Factory opened and I looked who the act was. This hotel will be seeing us for sure in the future. Again thank you to the entire staff of the Best Western Plus. Also their in house restaurant was right on point with the breakfast selection. Wish they'd have put those delicious home fries every morning but hey can't be perfect.

Easy on/off the highway and its location means easy day trips into DC and Baltimore. Also, nice amenities

Went to a wedding reception in the main conference room. The space was the perfect size. Staff was very helpful.

Wanted to do a quick getaway, this place was just what I needed. The staff was very friendly and professional. I would visit this place again.

I'll give this hotel 1 star for the breakfast ONLY!!! No Pool available for the group of kids we had with us, bed bug problem in our hotel, elevators working improperly and staff was very nonchalant about the bed bug situation.

I wasn't sure about this hotel at first; however, it proved to be almost excellent. I arrived earlier than expected and the hotel I'd reserved had no availability. I'm happy it happened that way because this hotel was far better and the staff was honest and friendly. They even had live entertainment, Sheryl Underwood. I highly recommend this hotel over Brookshire Suites, Inner Harbor. It was clean and well kept. I enjoyed my stay. Thanks to all the staff for being so hospitable and gracious.

Hotel provides shuttle to John's Hopkins and Mercy Hospital for patient surgery . Heating system not working correctly. Settings 59 or 70. No in between. TV Remote not working . Had to manually use controls on TV to operate. Ice machine not working. Was told to try all floors for ice. If none working go to restaurant and ask for ice. Restaurant only open designated hours. I was able to eat dinner at restaurant after eye surgery. The food was excellent! Same problems after 3 different stays. They don't repair things. But when your having surgery and cant drive yourself to and from hospital and the person with you does not drive downtown Baltimore you have no other options.

I haven't experience staying, was there for business. But I must say, it is very tidy customer service was amazing. An not hard to find at all. Would give 5 stars if I stayed but 4 is for my overall visit. Good job Best Western Hotel.

Staff was great, venue was nice, lots of free parking and the hotel was dated but clean and well maintained.

I love that the comedy factory is located on the premises. We would rent a room for the night.take in the comedy act Then wake up to FREE breakfast in the morning. Also you have FREE access to the gym

We like the pool and the rooms are spacious. Always a good choice when visiting Baltimore. Specially because they have a shuttle that takes you to the harbor.

I've spent many a night here, & although the locals don't recommend it, I think it's okay. It's comparable to other hotels I've stayed in, in Baltimore. The restaurant is good, & there's a McDonalds on the parking lot. Hotel is a bit older but I wasn't uncomfortable with that. The biggest drawback is that the shuttle service is iffy. Double check your charges at the front desk. The manager was hardly charming, but much of the staff was very helpful. I get along pretty well here. Rooms are satisfactory although some bathroom floors are slick.

The rooms were very nice. They are currently renovating so I expect it to be even better the next stay. Continental breakfast is included and had plenty of options.

Over all good 2 night stay. Loved the shuttle and free parking. The restaurant had great service and food. Ice machine didn't work, needs an exhaust fan in bathroom, room did not have adequate supplies for a family if 4.

Hotel was very clean, which is most important. Pool is small but was enjoyed by kids in our group. Breakfast was satisfying and served promptly, which was important as we had early basketball games. Overall decor and appearance is outdated, but rooms were very clean - the rest I can look past!

My family experienced a comfortable stay in a clean room; we had a good breakfast with friendly and attentive staff. All staff were professional and provided good service.

I attended a meeting there. The staff was a bit unorganized and it took the front desk over 20 minutes to figure out the room mu meeting was in after sending me around looking for a room in the wrong place. We had to purchase the buffet. The food was edible but not good. I would prefer not to buy the food. The meeting room was acceptable. Parking was good.

Our family of 14, has started our Family Vacation from this facility on two separate occasions. The first time was three years ago in 2015. This facility offers a Cruise Package that was just perfect for us. We had such a great experience in 2015, and when we decided to take our entire family on another cruise this year we booked another stay here. We were not disappointed! The facility, the staff, the restaurant and the shuttle service to and from our ship was Outstanding! We will definitely return to this Best Western, and we would most certainly recommend it to anyone planning a cruise out of Baltimore.

Great rooms great bedrooms everything was awesome and the hotel staff was also great and good breakfast.

Pretty good stay overall. Beautiful building and friendly staff. Could use a lot of work, though. Even with GPS it was difficult to find the way we came. We missed it the first time because the GPS had us take the back entrance I believe and there is no sign indicating where the entrance/exit is.

The room was great overall. We got an offer on a two bed room, though we didn't need it, it was cheaper, which is always great. Love that smoking and non smoking are separated well. The bed felt a bit unclean so bring your own pillow and blanket, and the bathroom doorknob was a bit wonky.

The pool rules could also be enforced more, as it opened a lot later than scheduled and there was a large group of kids throwing toys and the parents were not paying attention, so we left without using the amenities.

Reserved my room online. Check in was easy. Very friendly staff. Stayed an extra night. Will return.

My bed had a large sag in it and the pillows we're very uncomfortable. On the plus side my shower was very hot

BED BUGS!!!!!!! Do not stay here if you are a Johns Hopkins patient and your health could be compromised! I have several auto immune diseases and just stayed there this week with my husband. He woke up in the middle of the night with a large bed bug crawling across his chest! After we woke up and check the bed, they were all over. The place was infested. When I approached the manager, he was very rude and did not offer to even comp our room. I had to ask for compensation. I just kept bringing him dead bugs I killed to prove to him but he was still in unbelief and rude. Because of this we will never stay here again. Disgusting!

There was ample space for car parking. The banquet hall was clean and beautiful. Hotel staff was friendly and eager to help.

Convenient for stay and cruise. Can park your car for length of cruise.

This place is awesome, the staff was extremely helpful to me when I came back from a cruise to find my vehicle was missing. I was panicking, and from out of state. Omar and the staff was extremely understandings of the situation and went above and beyond to help me. Thanks again.

Had a 1 night stay from Friday to Saturday for a wedding that was happening Friday night. I drove down from New Jersey. The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions regarding the shuttle. The Shuttle was also very convenient since the wedding I attended was about a 5minute walk from Pier 5 which is one of the shuttle drop off points. Even though my checkout was 12pm on Saturday, they still allowed us to remain parked in their lot while my boyfriend and I used the shuttle to check out the Aquarium before our drive back. This was my first experience with Best Western, and I would definitely recommend, the staff was great, the room was very clean, and the free breakfast was delicious.

We had a horrible stay at this hotel. The poll was so filthy i would not allow my child in it. Our toilet over flowed 2 times while we were there, and when i requested a pillow for our fourth person I was told they ran out. Also the bed was still dirty and i had to change our sheets. Not acceptable at all!!! I asked for a refund when i returned from my trip and was told because i didnt ask for it when i left this would not happen and he would have someone call me when In 2 to 3 days. Also my car was left there the whole time i was on a cruise so i did tell the counter person but they apparently did not understand my complaints. I am very irritated with this experience.,

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Pool needs to stock towels better and have more ventilation. Rooms are good size and beds are comfortable. Need more trash cans in rooms and bedding on hand for sofa bed.

I went for the comedy club. It was a great time but finding the place is difficult as there is no signage for it in the area (that I saw) and it's in the middle of an industrial park.

Decent rooms, Port of Baltimore, can leave your car here for up to 30 days for the price of 1 night stay. KD Elite is also very good.

Roaches and the hotel let s rude guest run crazy at 4am

A little dated rooms, but the beds are really comfortable and the breakfast was decent. Really nice lobby.

The beds were very comfortable, the pillows as well. The bathroom was done in granite. The room was very roomy and comfortable. It had a chair with ottoman, couch and a desk. A side table for the chair and a coffee table for the couch. It had a flat screen TV, refrigerator and safe.

Staff was friendly and restaurant wasnt bad and convenient. The bed was super comfy but the bathroom wasnt as clean as I had hoped. There was hair on the floor and stains on the wall and door. there was water stains under the tile in shower and tub faucet wouldn't shut off all the way so it was constantly running and would keep me up. Air conditioner didnt keep room as cool as I would have wanted and room was humid a little. 4oom and beds were clean.

They would rather throw hundreds of plastic plates, cups, utensils and styrofoam cups in the trash to sit in a landfill than to pay someone to wash dishes for their buffet.

Looks better on the inside than the outside. Good service though. Went here for a comedy show at the Baltimore Comedy Factory. Plenty of parking. I will definitely come back.

Food was and waitstaff were excellent and the house keeping staff wasn't bad at all. But, the staff at the desk was utterly useless and generally rude not only to us and to the other people in line. We were treated like miscreants for attempting to book another night despite the fact that the hotel was not full. Another customer was promised an adjecent room with what appeared to be a nurse (it's close to a John Hopkins medical center), despite clear need they never got it. Subpar standard from the onset which carried through to the pool and gym area where the staff continued to be rude and the services were rather useless. Definitely making it a point to avoid this hotel again.
