We were traveling on a budget, so I can t really complain about much. I can however complain about their incredibly stupidly shaped pillows that NO ONE could possibly like. How do you not get complaints about these everyday? They are perfect square and the size of a throw pillow on your couch. Please invest in some normal pillows!!
Nice clean rooms. No pet fee (only deposit) warm breakfast. great outdoor heated pool that opens earlier in the season than other nearby hotels. Only complaint is rooms are a little small and check in process is a lot of paperwork.
This hotel was surprisingly fun and unique. I picked the property because of the location and price. When we arrived, we noticed the cleanliness the parking lot was clean and well lit. Inside, the lobby was warm and inviting. The desk clerks were friendly and quick to get us checked in. There is a dinosaur theme throughout the property that was really pretty cool. I didn't get to look around everywhere but it there were real fossils and imitation throughout the inside and outside of the hotel. The outdoor heated pool and hot tub were a nice surprise too. I didn't utilize it but my grandkids did and did it was warm and wonderful on December 23rd!
The room was clean and had all the amenities we would come to expect. The beds were comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was the size of the pillows. They were unusually small and uncomfortable.
We will stay here again.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast isn't amazing, but is good with plenty of coffee on tap at all hours. The 10 year old in me was jumping for joy at the sight of the dinosaur theme in the lobby and halls.
Worst experience at a hotel in my life! Erin the front desk lady accused me of "creeping" around the hotel after telling me to wait outside (in five degree weather) even after confirming the name of my friend I was visiting. I was wearing about a $1500 outfit so my appearance was impeccable. Why she treated me like that I don't know but I will never patronage best western again.

Stay here with my family pretty much every time we have to come to Denver. Simple, inexpensive, and tons of dinosaur themes, from paintings to fossils to the pool itself, which it's still open, by the way, even though it snowed last night. This place is a gem.
Good value. Dinosaur fossil replicas adorn the lobby. Staff was courteous and helpful.
Horrible stay. Fire alarm went off all night as well as two detectors that flashed lights in our room from 10 pm - 8 am. Stood outside for awhile with no instructions from anyone until I asked the police officers present but was told they were not sure because they were here on a unrelated issue. I finally went back inside and tried to find someone who worked there but when I finally did they didn't know why the alarm was going off and couldn't stop the blinking lights in my room from turning off either. Next day I talked with front desk about getting compensated for the horrible night without sleep and was told they would not do alarmnything but 2000 rewards points and I am not a member. I couldn't even get a late check out to get a little but of sleep before my 12 hour drive home but was told that was not possible and at 12 on the dot had an employee knocking on my door telling me I had to be out. I was just pavking my things and between 12 - 12:15 (check out was 12) I had 2 employees and a manager knock on my door 3 separate times

We've stayed here a few times- Great affordable hotel, close to amenities and highway access. This place is our favorite when we travel with our dog, as they are very pet accommodating and theres no extra fee. The breakfast is wonderful, pool is great, and the dinosaur theme is fun and different than boring old typical hotel decor. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's actually pretty great on the inside. Was doing flowers for a local wedding here once, and they let us use their conference room as a staging area for the whole weekend. Wonderful staff.
Was in a pickle had to find something fast it was a great experience from the front desk to the housekeeping. Would definitely be back

Loved my 6 night stay! Room was clean and quite and facilities were clean as well. The free breakfast is top knotch and the staff are friendly and professional. The pool and jacuzzi area is really nice and the pool is heated. The dinosaur museum theme is pretty cool and the customer lobby is cozy. Excellent deal.

Very friendly staff. They helped me tremendously when I had trouble on the road. Comfortable rooms. Great breakfast variety. What I like most is the fact they have historical dinosaur bones and stuff to learn from as well for the children. Even a dinosaur guy to talk to you in the morning.
My room was clean, comfortable and provided everything I needed. The housekeeping staff does an outstanding job. Do leave a tip! The front desk staff (1 young man in particular) was among the most refreshingly courteous, efficient and professional individuals I've encountered in all my years of traveling. This location offers excellent value for the money. It exceeded my expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and I highly recommend this location!

This Lakewood Best Western is where we stay every time we go to Denver. Great value, breakfast, beds, pool, rooms and staff - and the hotel is spotless. It is off the beaten path off Wadsworth so it is a very nice quiet place to stay! The kids would enjoy the dinosaurs!
A interesting and comfortable hotel just outside Denver. The rooms are large with comfortable beds and furniture, the outdoor heated pool is wonderful and they have a good selection for breakfast. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Great place for a reasonable price.
The owner has taken a fairly commonplace establishment, a hotel, and share his passions for anthropology, history, and fossils making this Best Western an educational, fun destination! The beds were comfortable. The staff was exceptional. Our room had no tub and we were right next to the exit so it did get very loud at times but not when it mattered.

Very poor hotel. I advised the clerk that I was not able to wear the mask due to medical reasons and she refused me a room at 230 in the morning.
We extremely enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly, the bed was sooo comfortable, everything was clean and smelled great, the hot tub and pool are awesome and year round, theres a ton of dining options nearby, and the breakfast is awesome. I didnt expect them to have green chile but they did! And it was spicy and soo good!
The hotel was clean. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was great. Coffee was terrible lol. My only real complaint is the weird small pillow. I felt like I was falling off it all night long. I really wish they had normal conventionalpillows. Anyhow all in all great experience. I would stay again for sure. Just would bring my own pillow.
What can I say? This is by and far one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in! Amazing decor and museum display from a local science museum. Great experience, clean and quiet. Very friendly staff.
From start to finish, this was the best motel. From checkin, thru our daughter's lateness due to a May snowstorm/rockslide, to my medical appointments and needs, the motel was comfortable and the staff polite, friendly, and accommodating. The room was clean, the accessible facilities were adequate. The breakfast was no joke - sausages and scrambled eggs piled high, fruits and yogurts and cereals, very large for a motel this size. Easy accessibility to everywhere and a fun and congenial staff made this the perfect place to be.

This hotel has it all and at exceptional rates. There is an on site bar and restaurant for take out or room service. The pool is fantastic--great for kids especially. There is also a hot tub. They have laundry machines as well as vending. The exterior is well maintained and the whole theme is dinosaurs. The rooms are a bit small but fully functional and worth the price. Dinosaur ridge is only 15 minutes away! All of the staff were very friendly.

Super BW on Denver's southwest side. I like everything about this hotel except the breakfast set up, which is cramped. Nice neighborhood setting, great looking pool in center courtyard (we didn't use it). I have stayed in at least 5 BW's in the Denver area and this is my favorite.
Overall, a very odd experience. The front desk attendant upon check-in was very rude and unenthusiastic, and the building itself clearly seems like it was something else before being converted into a hotel, as evident in the odd layout and lack of any elevators to the second floor (sounds unimportant but it makes it difficult to get to your room on the second floor if you have several bags). As for the price, this place is highly overpriced given what you get; I'm sure there are better options in the Denver area for the same or less $$. In summary, very disappointing.
Just spent a great extended weekend at The Dino Hotel. Greg and Meredith are great and helpful hosts (the owners). I didn't get to enjoy the beautiful pool this time, but next time definitely. The dinosaur theme just tops off the experience.

This Best Western was a surprise. Especially if you like dinosaurs. That is the theme and they have some museum quality pieces. But besides that the staff was great, rooms large and nice. Breakfast was good and they have a bar and serve drinks and appetizers.

Was a good place to stay for the 5 nights we were visiting family. Nice pool and hot tub outside. So they are seasonal. Not a big selection for the free breakfast but good enough for the price range. Beds were comfy. Room was clean as was the hotel. Very interesting decor with a dinosaur them. Would definitely stay at again.

they dont say the true price, they dont add the taxes in till after you pay. so they'll say your total is 320 then charge you 370.

I stayed here during my visit to Denver and wow, what a great property. Their renovations were not only amazing but their Dinosaur theme blew me away as well. The hotel and rooms were super clean and the staff was truly amazing, especially Paul behind the bar at night. What a knack for customer service and attention to detail he has. Kudos to him. Also wanted to give an A++++ rating to the management team there. Alice, the AGM, was so warm and inviting. It's nice to see a manager go in the breakfast lounge during breakfast and greet her staff and guests. Needless to say I highly recommend this hotel as it is a quick drive from Denver. Very affordable and a comfortable place to stay. This will be my home away from home when visiting Denver again.
It was a good clean experience, although it was hard to find the fridge and microwave as they were in the dresser.

Hard to find because it was not on main Street. It has cool dinosaurs display. Good for kids. The information desk lady was available to talk about dinosaurs. Great breakfast with friendly employees. Must see that place!!
Best Western Denver South West is a charming hotel with a dinosaur theme throughout. The staff and facility are top notch and the location provides a quiet experience, even though its located close to the freeway.
Services are typical for a hotel of this type and were more than adequate for my stay.
I would greatly recommend this hotel to anyone, as its location to the US285 and C470 freeways makes access to Denver, Fort Collins or Colorado Springs very easy.

Clean room, nice staff, not far from downtown, great Continental breakfast (if you wake early), comfortable beds, very quiet. The dinosaur theme was really neat, but since we only stayed one night and crashed as soon as we got back from the concert we were in town for, we didn't get to see much of it. Would stay again if in the area.
I come to Denver often and love this spot especially for the location. It's close to the mountains, has great food near by and is still in the city. The rooms are nice, staff is friendly, I love the complimentary breakfast. Best hotel you can find for the price.
Beautiful hotel! Friendly staff, good parking, clean rooms & common rooms. The continental breakfast was delicious. Close to resturants on Wadsworth (South) & a gas station/convenience store across the street (walking distance). For families who have kids they have a pool, sandbox & there are 3 Pokemon stops.

I loved the price and the breakfast and everything else worked as expected/needed. The biscuits and gravy were great for a quick breakfast before work in the mornings. The TV had several options which was nice. The internet could have been a little faster/responsive but worked so I can't complain too much. The fridge and microwave and coffee maker are fantastic room amenities.
Dining area was really really dirty, walls table and floor had stuff spilled and dripped on them. The layers of dust on the decor and breakfast bar are not appetizing. Just an fyi, there is no elevator, so if you have a lot of heavy luggage ask for the first floor. Our room had stains on the carpet and the bathroom door was in need of repair.

When in Denver, CO., I stay @ Best Western in Lakewood. This place has great staff, clean rooms, & one of the best breakfast.. Plus random poopers are locate thru out the hotel so you don't have to blow out your room!!
Nice enough hotel but the beds need updating, flat uncomfortable mattress and lumpy pillows.
